Strange question are - Adobe reader

Hi all

First of all - thank you for your help.

I have a strange problem with Adobe Reader, where the police is not correctly displayed correctly compared to the original. The document is displayed in a strange font according to the attachment.

I deleted and reinstalled the software Adobe reader. Reader was updated to a newer version. Installed Adobe pro (licensee) and as a last resort - removed and updated local display drivers.

Question according to the image as an attachment.

Is it because of the embedded fonts? How can I fix it?  Redefinition of the machine is not going to at this point.

Help, please!

Thank you

Look at file > document properties > fonts and see if any are listed without the word "incorporated" or "embedded subset" against them.

If a font is not embedded and is not available on your system, Adobe Reader will try to substitute for another - but it seems often strange. Aside from that without seeing the actual file, we cannot help you, and of course Adobe Reader cannot fix the missing fonts. You must recreate the original PDF or install fonts on your computer.

  • Question of Adobe Reader preferences, text stretched and zoomed in.

I a user with Adobe Reader 11.0.2 installed and cannot change its preferences and always receive a prompt "Screen reader" at the opening of a PDF file.  The window is stretched across the screen and the only way to close it is Tab - enter.  Preferences are the same way, theres no way to verify the settings, because the window is zoomed too and the text is too large. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall, deleted all the files and reg key to do a clean install as well as under several profiles. Same question every time.  Anyone else see this issue?

  • Question: installed Adobe Reader XI, Norwegian, existing version pdf won't open or appear empty

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but I still have the same question. Adobe automatically gives me the Norwegian version as I live in Norway. When I open existing pdf files, they appear empty and close automatically after a few seconds.

No idea how I can fix this problem?

Your contribution is very much appreciated!

    Thank you.

You can select any language version if you download the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

However, I do not think that the problem is caused by the Norwegian version; try...

    • Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
    • If Reader opens in itself, try to disable the Safe_mode in the registry; Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
    • It might even be a malware problem; See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • Adobe Reader Pro's work in an environment in offline mode?

    Hello

I searched this forum for my response, but I have not found an exact answer to my question:

Adobe Reader Pro. can operate in an environment in offline mode? I do not mean its installation file which must be downloaded. My question is if this software will work without any connection to the Internet? This issue comes up after trying to work in Adobe Reader Pro in a computer without an Internet connection, and it did not work. I mean the full purchased version, of course.

    Thank you very much

    Ohad

To find or buy you the exact name of the product, there are no Adobe Reader Pro. Adobe Reader is free, Acrobat Reader is free; Acrobat Pro is the paid for the product. The current version is ms, MS Pro Acrobat. According to me, that he needs to activate Internet and from time to time to check the license, at least for the commercial version.

  • I just CC with Acrobat XI. Is there a reason to keep Adobe Reader XI on my system?

I just bought creative cloud, but I don't have a lot of space left on my hard drive I'm looking to free up some space. My question is, Adobe Reader does nothing that can't Adobe Acrobat or Reader only a subset of read-only features in Acrobat? This would be ideal, so I uninstall the drive and do everything, just the Acrobat XI.

    Thank you.

Unless you need drive for workflow testing purposes (for example to check if a complicated form works well from the point of view of your recipients), then there is no reason to keep installed.

    b. right-click on Microsoft Reader.

    c. click Uninstall below.

  • Quick question from a newbie... Can I use an API of the Adobe Reader to open and fill out a PDF form to my MFC application?

    Hello people.

If I'm in the wrong forum, might well want to suggest a more appropriate forum?

It is a pretty basic question.

I downloaded the SDK and watched, but I'm still a little uncertain. Simply because there is a ton of information to this site, and it's all new to me.

I have a Visual Studio MFC application. (Visual Studio 2008)

I want to change the application to read a PDF form to fill out, and I want to programmatially fill in some of the data in the field as it appears on the screen. This could be considered writing a PDF file, but I think it's only complete, because I can do this with Acrobat Reader. I assume that there is an API available to do this.

I saw something on IAC, then maybe that where I need to study.

I'm the developer. I need to buy Adobe Acrobat? Or is the right drive for this?

My customers will need to purchase Adobe Acrobat? Or the drive will be enough?

It's one thing for me as a developer to buy the tool to improve enforcement, but another question, if I go to the end users and tell them that they need to buy and install Adobe Acrobat.

I'm not afraid to have a discussion, I just want to know ahead what debate, I need to have.

Are there different APIs available for different Windows OS? One for XP for Vista 32-bit, one for Vista 64-bit, for Windows 7... etc.

Or is this the same way, regardless of the platform?

    I'm looking for advice.

    All would be appreciated.

    Thank you

The only way to fill a form in Adobe Reader is to use the file in FDF or XFDF format.   They are text-based formats that you can put the form data and a link to the PDF document in and then ask the REader to open it (and the associated PDF file) upwards and fill automatically.

You can't poll drive for more information, however.

  • Several copies of the Adobe Reader software are open by Windows Explorer without any request

I have a PC using Windows XPproSP3 as its operating system.  Adobe Reader v10.1.3 is installed on my machine. When to use Windows Explorer to view a directory containing several *. PDF files and I ask then my mouse over a file and a simple left click to select this file, Windows Task Manager shows me that the system immediately starts opening copies of AcroRd32.exe (in pairs) and continues to do so until the PC is out of memory.  The PDF in question is not actually opened.

Another solution is to uninstall Adobe Reader, to download and install

Remove the Adobe Reader software. Reset. Reinstall drive C. discount to zero. Look for the updates.

Or better yet, don't reinstall Adobe and use much more compact and easy to Foxit Reader Windows

  • Adobe Reader DC questions

Numbers lock when you use Adobe Reader DC causing all the keys in sequential numeric type and the only solution is to reboot the system...  This only happens when you use Adobe Reader DC and no other software.

Since it is clearly an Adobe rather than a problem of Windows, the best place to post the question would be in an Adobe forum.

  • Suddenly, my downloads are all about Adobe Reader, and I can't record to edit. What can I do about it?

Why are my downloaded Adobe Reader is no longer in My Documents folder?  I can view them on Adobe, but cannot change words or punctuation.  I tried to change their word, but could not.  I could change them for them there seems to be a monetary charge to change that for Word and PDF.  What has happened that I can not open simply Adobe download since my word buffers?

Word has never been able to open .pdf files.

You must use a Publisher .pdf application to be able to edit .pdf files.

  • executable files (.exe files) are opened in Adobe reader.

    • My friend, I don't understand how he did it, changed the .exe on its computer files settings. He says, click with the right button on a file .exe, selected option «openwith...» "and chose the adobe reader software. Now all .exe files are being opened on the adobe reader, including the filesystem as guest, paint, calculator, browsers, uninstaller etc. Now, we can not even uninstall the adobe reader software, since even the unistaller is an exe file and will open in adobe reader. System Restore does not work. What can I do to help him?

    Hi Christophe,

If you can access the internet somehow, if you are using Vista, go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll to the EXE and click or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations. Once done, do the same for LNK entry. That should restore your programs. If you are using Windows 7, go to http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html . If you are using XP, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm.

If no internet access, copy the appropriate reg entries to a flash drive on another computer, transfer to Office the 'bad' computer to and run them from there to make the changes.  Reboot and you should be good to go.

If it still does not help, try the following guide to our Member Brian M - which shows four methods that can be used to fix the Windows file associations.

    Guide: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/fix-programs

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
