Strange thing in the SQL and PL/SQL

Hi all

I meet a very strange thing of the length of the string in SQL and PL/SQL.
I ran the length of the string SQL and PL/SQL. The output values do not match.
Can you please help me on how this happens?

I tried with the same string. I know that the maximum length of the SQL string is 4000 and PL/SQL is 32767. but the thing is when am a length of the string in PL/SQL as less than 4000, then iwhy must not be run alongside SQL?

Can you help me out on this issue?

Suresh Mohan says:

Outside chr (256), are there other characters of white space available?

White space characters are listed on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_character.

From the point of view of the old MS-MS-BACK/ASCII characters, a white space character was #256 as the chariot of normal space was #32. He was also a space compared to a difficult space.

You need to look at the character set you use - ASCII is a set of characters in a single byte, and not the same thing.

You can use the SQL DUMP() function to watch the characters in a string. For example

select dump( my_string_column ) from my_table where ...

I wonder if you can help me please?

I have problems with my satellite internet access on my laptop wireless. He beautifully connects to the router and the signal is excellent. However, I'm unable to connect to the internet. I can use the laptop first thing in the morning because it connects right away, but I would say that 95% of the day I can't use it at all. Sometimes it will work later in the evening. I learned this could be due to the intensity of the signal and that some suppliers to fall during the day. My desk top connects perfectly (if the weather permits it) but is not on the wireless network. I had no problem with my laptop when I used my previous service provider. It becomes more frustrating that the inability to use the internet visited my lap top unnecessary. I can't use it on my neighbors wireless network no problem at all but they we internet different provider. Can you please help because I don't know why it works first thing in the morning and sometimes late at night, but not during the day? No matter where the lap top is the first thing in the morning, it will work even if it is forty feet away. I can sit during the day with my phone right by my router and it still not connect to internet even though the router signal strength is excellent and desktop is on the internet. Any help would be great, because it leads me into the wall! I am using WIndows 7 on my lap top from acer.

Kind regards

I would like to thank everyone for their help with my question. I can tell you now that I have it solved and I'm pretty embarrassed to say the least. Following a change of internet service provider, I put a cable into the wrong port on the router... silly me! It works perfectly now. Thank you once again.

• Strange thing happening with ASA and RDP by filtered VPN

Hello

I'm hoping to get support here anymore as I am clearly out of options.

I have 3 ASA 5505 2 and a 5510

all of them are connected via the internet by VPN

a 5505 is on my principles and I use VPN to serve 2 other sites that belong to the same customer. Clearly, I want to go the VPN will aswell to localities other than traffic from them.

the strange thing is if I put an IP address a whole on the acl filter can I use RDP, for when I apply the filter, where I activate TCP/3389, I get an error that the server is not found.

in forestry, I see the package hit the ACL:

any help will be greatly appreciated!

If do you a RDP from your PC to the client session, port TCP/3389 is used on the client side and not on your side. So your ACL should be the following:

VPN_Filter list extended access permitted tcp 172.31.2.0 255.255.255.0 eq 3389 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

Remember: in a VPN-filter is the syntax = remote destination, local = source. Port 3389 is on the remote end.

/ * This hybrid layout tips
1. from the lateral columns sizing based on the em is based on the user's default font size, you can be sure graphics in the columns accordingly. Built correctly, it is more accessible to those who need larger font sizes, since the width of the columns remains proportionate. If this is not desirable in your design, just change the width of a pixel size and do not forget to change the margins on the div #mainContent accordingly.
2. given that the sizing of the side columns in this layout are based on the font size of 100% in the body element, if you decrease the overall size of the text by using a font size: 80% on the body element or the #container, do not forget that the column widths will reduce proportionally. You can increase the size of the margins on the side of the #mainContent div, and their widths to compensate for this.
3. If the sizing of fonts is changed in different quantities on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is a font size of 70% and #mainContent has a font size of 85%), this will change proportionally each of the overall size of divs. You can adjust the base on your final sizing of fonts.
4. the #container div is not necessary for this layout to the width of 100%. You can use to create columns of fake or to limit the width of the layout.
5. it is not necessary to have the width of 100% on the #container div since, by nature, a div takes up 100% of the available space. Therefore, here, if you want to reduce the size of the global container - leaving perhaps a bit of margin on each side - is already available for adjustment.

/ * Sidebar1″ tips:
1 be aware that if you set a value for the font size on this div, the width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
2. as we work in ems, it is preferable not to use the filling in the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for browsers compatible standards creating a real unknown width.
3. the space between the wall of the div and the items it contains can be created by placing a margin left and right on these items as seen in the rule ".thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p.

/ * margin-right: 0px;
}
*/
/ * MainContent tips:
1. If you give this div #mainContent a value of different size of the div # sidebar1″, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on the font size and the width of the div #sidebar1 depend on the size of the font. You can adjust the values of these divs.
2. the space between the mainContent and sidebar1″ is created with the left on the mainContent div margin regardless of how content div the sidebar1″ contains, the space of the columns will remain. You can remove the left margin if you want the #mainContent div text to fill the space of #sidebar1 when the content of #sidebar1 is complete.
3. to avoid falling of float, you may have to test to determine the size of the image/approximate maximum element because this provision is based on the calibration of fonts the user combined with the values that you set. However, if the user has their browser game lower than normal font size, less space will be available in the #mainContent div that you see on the test.
4. in the Internet Explorer conditional comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout". This avoids several specific IE bugs that may occur.

I am exclusively listing the columns. So the foreign key column location_id here is inserted as null.

• strange behavior in the SQL with Cascaded NOT operators

Hi yall!

Quick Tour: I don't use real tables/columns, but simplified versions. And I know that some statements could be turned into a version more simple, but also done these request structures are generated automatically and so I have to work the way they are.

Given a table "MyTable" like this:
ID MyName
-- ------
0 AF
1 AF
2 null
3 AL

The following instructions are tested:
SELECT id FROM myTable MyName WHERE NOT AS "AF".
-> Result: 2.3 (as expected)
SELECT id FROM myTable WHERE NO (NO MyName AS 'AF')
-> Result: 0.1 (as expected)
SELECT id FROM myTable WHERE MyName IS NULL or myName = "
-> Result: 2 (as expected)
SELECT id FROM myTable WHERE NOT (myName IS NULL or myName = ")
-> Result: 0,1,3 (as expected)
SELECT id FROM myTable WHERE (myName IS NULL or myName = ") GOLD MyName AS"AF ".
-> Result: 2.3 (as expected)
SELECT id FROM myTable WHERE NOT ((myName EST NULL ou myName = '') OR MyName AS 'AF')
-> Result: empty (expected: 0, 1).

Why on earth isn't the last statement to return any result?

0 AF
1 AF
2 null
3 AL

SELECT id FROM myTable WHERE NOT ((myName EST NULL ou myName = '') OR MyName AS 'AF')
-> Result: empty (expected: 0, 1).

the result is as expected:
(myName IS NULL or myName = ") ===>> you will give output... AF, AF and AL
Output of GOLD MyName AS 'AF' ===>> you give: AF

If you do IT for all of them, it will be obivioulsy give you vacuum.

• Weird things on the screen and the watch does not load

can someone tell me what this means and how to fix it? Was given on the charger for hours, can not, have you tried the new wall charger and no difference

Your watch is probably too warm. Keep it in a cool room to let it cool down. The third screen is a warning of the temperature.

Try to load again, after that the watch is cool. If you are using a case, keep it open.

For operating temperature requirements, see this page: Keep Apple Watch in temperatures acceptable - operation Apple Support

Apple Watch is designed to work best with a temperature of 32 ° to 95 ° F (0 ° and 35 ° C) and must be kept between the ambient of-4 ° and 113 ° F (-20 ° to 45 ° C) temperatures.

For example, Apple Watch should not remain unattended in direct sunlight for long periods, undergoes large changes in temperature or humidity, or be left in a car on hot days. Store and use your device outside the recommended temperature range may shorten battery life or cause other damage.

If necessary, Apple Watch will regulate its internal temperature. There are several things you might notice if this happens:

• Charging time may increase, or load could stop
• The display may dim
• A temperature warning screen may appear
• Data transfers could interrupt or slow down the
• Apps could close

If your Apple Watch has above normal temperatures:

1. If you wear your device, turn the power off and remove it from your wrist.
If your Apple Watch is charging, remove the charger.

• 7.2 conversion to 2015-> 'filter of origin not available' message-> strange borders on the table and anchored frames

I just convert my 7.2 files to FM 2015 and got some ' original at least a... graphics filter imported by reference... not available..' messages.

When I looked at those files, I found that several anchored frames were heavy black borders that I could not change and a few tables had borders hatch cross thick strange I could find the same information on. I guess it's some sort of error condition report, but have not been able to find information about the attachment.

The affected files tend to be older originating before 7.2 FM

Any ideas on how to approach the issue? See photos.

fm-strange-table.png

I think that both are indicators of conditional text. FM has always used a hatch for the cells in a table. 2015 thus uses an anchored frames border color.

You can control conditional text at the book level now, in order to hide these is an easy solution: 2015 FrameMaker: conditional text at the book level. Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2015 | Adobe TV .

• Strange problem casting between the DATE and time STAMP

Hello world

I'm faced with a problem of strange casting between the DATE and time STAMP. Strange, because this happens in SQL-Developer and the Testdatabase, but not when called from inside SQL-Plus, even if all Session settings are set to the top completely equal.

I work on the Oracle 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 Windows database and run the following script, taken from SQL-Developer script output:

< pre >
create table ts_test)
time/date stamp,
stamp_copy timestamp)
table TS_TEST standing.

create or replace view vw_test as
Select cast (date stamp) buffer,
Cast (stamp_copy as date) stamp_copy
of ts_test
view VW_TEST standing.

insert into ts_test
Select systimestamp, the double null
1 eingefugt Zeilen.

create or replace trigger trg_ts_test_iu
instead of update on vw_test
Start
Update ts_test
Set stamp_copy =: new.stamp_copy;
end;

Update vw_test

Look at the strange data that stamp_copy was after the update.

When run from SQL over, everything is fine. But when I run this code in our application, the same phenomenon occurs. I've even seen a data dating back to the year 11907 (!), giving an exception by selecting from the table.

Someone at - it an idea on how to work around this bug?

Best regards

Jürgen

• Why can I not see the files I back up by using the backup and restore of Vista

Can someone help me? I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and implemented backup and restore feature Vista so that every Sunday he automatically backs up my computer to my external drive. I was on the computer when he said it starts up and that upward was completed successfully. I assummed everything was fine until today when I show my father my drive external and noticed that none of the backup of files were there... or at least I did not see them. The only files on the disk were the ones I put manually on here from my old computer. I then ran a manual upward using Vista and again it says backup successfully completed. I then watched the external hard drive and once again no new files. The strange thing is the back up and restore program shows all the dates he has saved and also allows me to restore files from the back to the top. To do this, I deleted a file I didn't really need out of my hard drive and then is gone to restore program and found the file and restored. Problem is that the program does not say where he makes the file from. What is going on? Are backup files of certain types of hidden file I don't see unless I use the backup and restore program under vista? I am currently running Vista Home Premium on a 32 bit system and the external hard drive I have is a Western Digital My Book Essential Edition.

Windows backup is stored in a folder with the same name as your computer. Open a command prompt and type echo %ComputerName% or startup, right-click on computer, properties. You should see that % ComputerName % folder on your external drive, and in this context, a backup set.
