Streaks of vertical color across the image?

I am running OSX 10.6.6 and a new copy of the PS CS5 extended. I have some files in .tiff great designs in 2 colors and when I opened the files more ancient, created originally in PS in CS2 suite 3 or 4 had one or two vertical lines of one of the colors vertically through the design (not in any layer, that is, all the invisible layers, but lines still there). How can I get rid of these?

Do you mean the guide?

If you have the NI Vision Development Module, you should have a "IMAQ ColorHistogram" function available. It should provide what you are looking for.

  • can I know the reason for the change of color in the image - canon EOS rebel T5

Hi, I am using canon EOS rebel T5... Recently whenver I clicked on an image using this device, I get color variation in the image that I've highlighted in the image below... It's because of the lens or the camera settings... Pls help me to get a clear picture

What are compression of camera settings, for example, I use fat with Fine quality

This 478KO scares me, it's really small for a 4000 x 2000 image. You use too much jpeg compression which is ruining the image. You need to set a level of quality JPEG 9 or 10 - it will result in larger images, but as you can see, throw the data has detracted from your images.

If you want to send pictures, decide first the smaller number of pixels you can hang out with and then use just enough of JPEG compression to get the size you want.

  • Remove the Vertical spacing in the Image (dream)

I create the documentation that contains many screenshots.  Many of them are web pages that have used the white space very well.

However, for the purpose of my documentation - I need to shave the vertical white space (not not necessary for most of my documents). -A lot of your time, even if I became skilled enough.

I know I'm dreaming.  But is there a feature/function that will remove an entire line (Pixel line) which is nothing but moving white space remain image to fill the gap?

I'd give Content Aware scale to try. It should work to some extent. It allows to detect any empty like space with less detail to the image while preserving the text and more detailed images. I don't know how it will impact a background more complex however.

  • Color for the image processor problem

Hello! I tend to work with dozens to hundreds of batch files and often use the Image Processor to save my changes to PSD files to TIFF.
But I noticed that when I run image processor to save PSD in uncompressed TIFF format, there is a change in the color of the original file in the created file. But... If I manually record a version of the same PSD TIFF (file > save as > etc.), there is no change in color. So... the question is in the processor.

When you publish to any site Web of the image must be converted to sRGB in Photoshop. (Edit-convert to profile and select sRGB) in addition, make sure the box to embed the profile is checked in the Save dialog box that you save the file.

For printing, most people will use Adobe RGB 1998

  • Change the colors of the images between monitors while the user interface remains the same

Hey! Im having a problem where photoshop change colors when I move the window between my monitors, see here: http://sta.sh/04y5s60vf3j is not due to the monitors themselves being different, it does actually change after a few seconds to move inbetween the monitors. The left was callibrated with an elite group of spyder 3 I do not have access to. I applied the file with windows instead of the utility of spyder color management. The second is new, and it is not callibrated by what that is, but instead was done by hand with integrated RGB brightness/contrast/custom settings. Two of them are very close to eachother, so enough for my taste. but when photoshop changes which looks like the image, it is causing problems. Curiously, when I disable calibration of the screen on the left, the image doesn't change color between monitors, but instead always appears as it does on the right. but then they do not match to the top and all the screen looked washed out because it's uncallibrated, so that won't do me any good. Something else interesting to report, is when this image is saved as a. JPG and read with firefox, the image appears exactly as the monitor on the LEFT (which is my primary monitor) despite the monitor left which is the force has changed. does anyone have any suggestions? It also appears that photoviewer windows behaves in the same way, although firefox does not work. Meaning when I open an image in all 3 on the left monitor, they look alike, but when opened on the right monitor, windows photo viewer and photoshop both display the image such as the brighter and redder that firefox works. It's frustrating, because it seems that photoshop changes the image with my measured on my monitor left to match what it looks like on the web, it does. but it does not for the monitor right, or the left is uncallibrated. Another question, I can see with this is even if the user interface is the same shade of gray, the images are different between the monitors because of this change. Does anyone have suggestions?

    -BD

What you need to understand, is that Photoshop converts the image data, the document profile for the display profile, independently for each display. It is a managed pipeline standard color display. Windows Photo Viewer does the same thing (but do not have a lot of other applications).

When you move a picture on the screens, it snaps when you drop; as the new display profile is picked up.

Calibration is only partly about changing the monitor's response. The second part a profile, which is a complete description of the screen in its calibrated State. Then a conversion of standard profile is performed as he goes to the screen. The profile has a much higher level of accuracy than the single calibration.

    ---

If the image on the web has the stripped document profile, Firefox with default settings does not have this conversion and sends just the unchanged data to display. In other words, it is not color managed. This behavior can be changed, but get your first straight base display profiles. Unless you get a new calibrator it is no that you can do to match these two views.

  • Need help in selecting the color in the image and use it in other images.

I have about 10 photos of a drawing/character but the color is not consistent. How to select a color in the first drawing and then use that same color in all the

drawings so that he is there not differences in images?

On one of the drawings, use the eyedropper tool.

You can select the color of different sample sizes, 1-pixel average of 101 x 101.

And then double-click the color in the Color Palette and add it to your color chart.

    Name your new shade.

    Voila.

  • Change the color of the image in a PDF document

I have a form that must be used with OCR software. What is shown must be in a light red color that the scanner will not pick up allowing it to treat only the information provided on the form.

The problem is that, when printing, lines and red letters are too dark, so that the scanner does not ignore them as it should.

I would like to use Acrobat 9 Pro to lighten the color, but I'm not having a bit of luck to find how to do this. I do not know if I have the right tool for the job.

In the old school image capture, red is the equivalent of black - it's a matter of spectrum of wavelength (?) and always picked up.

Blue - specifically light blue is never returned.

I don't know what breed the colors the image analyzes the process of capture and not...

Acrobat is not the best tool, however. In Acrobat Pro, you are able (to some extent) to select objects and images, then open them in the default value of the operating system for the type of image selected for change:

-If you select a vector object, Acrobat opens the object in Illustrator (or the OS default request with vector images?)

-If you select an object based raster/pixel, Acrobat will open the object in Photoshop (or the OS default application with raster/pixel based images?)

Changes are made outside the Acrobat, saved, and Acrobat updates in.

How is this printed material? IMO, should be changed in the design program until the document is a final pdf.

  • Why the colors in the images incorporated into word export (TIFF/JPEG) badly ruined Acrobat?

I chose this forum instead of printing and prepress forum, because I have a very limited knowledge of existing color space and profile and I didn't want to be (1) leaked and (2) overwhelmed by the level of technical detail.

When I try to PDF to a word document that contains a TIFF image, the TIFF image appears SIGNIFICANTLY off the coast of color.  I was able to significantly correct the problem by extracting the TIFF image in the Word document and save in JPEG format, but it is not yet 100%.

    Here's what I know:

    I use Windows 7; Word 2010; and Acrobat X.  I also CS5.1 Photoshop and InDesign CS4.

"My color SETTINGS are put in correspondence in each application was related to my monitor, and my monitor is set to the system default, which is a default system: sRGBIEC61966 - 2.1"

I use the document for professional purposes, so the color matching is important to me, but I work with what is available to me in a non-profit, which means a monitor Acer X183h and a networked Canon iR C5185 desktop printer and no real color management or equipment policy.

I'm looking for the best possible solution maintain the performance of color between the monitor and the printer.

Incredibly that I posted this, the solution came to me - I leave it to the moderators to determine whether it should be retained or deleted.  I wasn't able to find any help on this and it might be useful to other users.

The image itself which has been incorporated into the Word Document has a CMYK profile. It displayed correctly in the software, but would not convert to PDF or print. I have the source file open in Photoshop and converted it to my profile, and then added to the word document and it is now reliable breed in the right color.

Since the removal of the external images in word is a common work process (if there is also mediocre) for creating documents in the non-profit organization of people, I think that this type of information could be useful in the knowlegebase.
