  Thanks to each of you respond to my concern. I used the glyphs Palettes before but did not expect way bulky to handle the task. With my old Linotype Decoration Pi police, press and it's there.

  I spent several hours before to buy trying to get answers before buying but the support has been no help. I have not sucked into the monthly Plan of the clouds.

  With InDesign CS6, I can't rework a table in a file created with InDesign CS5.5. Half of the table disappears when I try. No idea why?

  When you open a file in a version newer than the text not redial using the new text engine until you interact with it, somehow, but then recomposes it using the rules of text of the current version and reflow is normal, but often the results of changes for purposes of line that can cause oversets in tables or at end of chapter.

• Problem with InDesign CS6

  I downloaded CS6 InDesign, but when I open it and try to use it, the program won't let me choose the selection arrow by clicking on. Instead, I have to use V or escape. Also, I can't spend beween controls the formatting of the paragraph and the control of shaped characters. I can't access or modify the fonts through the character option. The only way I can see the list of fonts is by clicking Type, and then click fonts. I have a Windows 7, 64-bit HPTouchsmart computer. What is the problem with this program? At this point, the program is useless for me.

• CC 10.1 with InDesign CS6 error opening a file

  I have Adobe CS6 and ran into a problem when a co-worker sent me a file. When you try to open a file in InDesign-.indd, a dialogue box emerged indicating 'cannot be opened because it was saved with a later version of Adobe InDesign CS (8.1)' after noticing that I needed to update my version of CS, I installed the updates and found that now, it says "cannot be opened because it was saved with a later version of Adobe InDesign CS (10.1)" what is say? I checked and I have InDesign version 8.0.2. and I have more updates to install. Can someone explain to me why this happens and how to fix this? I got a version .idml of the file I want to open and that seems to work, but I'd like to solve this problem in order to avoid this again. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

  I have a computer with InDesign CS6 installed and I will be performing a clean install of Windows 10. I used a key Locator to find the key and spoke with a conversation agent who told me it was a beta key.

  My questions are:

  (1) where to find the InDesign CS6 installer that works with this key?

  (2) I'll be able to use this key for the installation of InDesign CS6 after completing the clean install of Windows 10?

  Series a beta version is valid only during the beta and is not valid after several years. You must purchase your own license. I wonder if the Version worked so long after the liberation, normally, it stops to work when a product reaches the market.

• Cannot click successfully to many tools/options in InDesign CS6

  I am a member of creative cloud and I have a problem with InDesign CS6.  Outwardly, it seems to install fine, but when I start it up I can't click on a large number of options.  I can create a new document, and I can add a text box.  However, when I click to change all elements of the police, nothing happens.  It's like I'm not really clicking.  I am able to click and use the pen and text tool, but not the tool arrow travel.  Interestingly, if I use the hotkey (V), I am able to move arrow.  Also, I can see the pages palette, but I can't click on any aspect of it successfully.  Similarly, I can view the palette layers, but I can't click on the triangle next to layer 1 to open its contents.    I am convinced that it is not a problem with my mouse because I can always click on the type tool successfully, and also because all my other programs are functioning normally.

  I am a frequent user of Illustrator CS6 and Photoshop CS6, which work perfectly.  I downloaded all updates for InDesign.  I use a PC with Windows 7 64 bit and 6 MB of RAM.

• How to re - activate save and cancel functions in InDesign CS6?

  Hi all

  Having a very frustrating problem with InDesign CS6 (old software I know but that's what the customer requires it) in which case the save options are grayed out and I can't undo. This will happen during 5-10 minutes to use a file.

  The issue is not limited to a single file, I tried several files, creation of new and re-opening archived to test the problem. I'm in an office 6, CS6 is on a volume license, I'm the only one affected.

  I have tried the following to resolve the problem:

  • Preferences removed
  • (Correctly) uninstalled then reinstalled
  • Disconnected (e) creative cloud (we also run CC) in the case where it was causing a problem
  • Disabled and used a trial version

  No matter what I do the same question is displayed. I thought maybe I was being regarded as a software pirate, so turn it off and try the trial version.

  The only way I can get around it is to export the file as an IDML, open it, and then save the original. It is a terrible way to work but as I am always left with no way to undo all the actions and if Indd or my computer was down I would have lost all work since my last export.

  I'm out of ideas. I am embarking on a project that will last three months, completely illuminated Indd CS6, I can't afford the time or the risk of this persistent problem, any suggestion welcome.

  Talking to Adobe, it's a continuous show, I was asked to submit a bug report. The only suggestion they had for me was to work on my desk. I'm in a team of 6 working from a server and it is apparently the problem. It is far from an ideal solution, I hope that the issue is corrected quickly.

• InDesign CS6 (CC edition) crashes on save/export

  I have problems with InDesign CS6 crashing whenever I try to save or export a document that I just finished. It has never been saved before, other documents save and close very well, I tried to remove all links from the file, and it still crashes on save. I tried to copy it, and it crashes at the time wherever I said to place the document on the Clipboard. I don't know what else could POSSIBLY cause this accident. There is no report of accident or mistake.

  Either there is a problem in the file (and there may be corrupted images, text or images in a file not saved) or there is a problem on your system. If you cannot export (and it was not clear, that you tried to export to .idml), then the best bet is to try to move pages to a new document and if this fails, try to copy and paste.

• How to script Indesign CS6 use inches as a default at startup

  Hi all... in previous versions of the Adobe Suite, I'd take the pref files I install and put them in the model user on OS X and what student connection they get the prefs.  With InDesign CS6 is not like this more.

  I think of a startup script that tracks will be the solution.

  Everything I want to do is the default inches instead of the dots on the screen of welcome to start so that all students have to do is hit again document with thumbs already set as the default value.

  This writing scripts for InDesign is all new for me... someone has this script already created, I can't believe we are the only ones to ask this, but I can't find a lot about writing scripts for InDesign or any useful scripts.

  Well after searching and searching, I may have found something.  You can use Applescript and I think it works for what I want.  I need to test it more, but it looks like its doing what I need!
