• A little stuck on the list view scrolling direction

  The themes service may be having a problem and stopped, we will check:

  1. Windows key + R, in the Run dialog box type services.msc

  2. once in Services, find themes, double click it and make sure that it is set to Automatic and started. If this isn't the case, fix and start it.

  This is why I hate to let people use my laptop because it was totally fine before, now iv noticed the start menu and the bar at the bottom of the screen with my programs in switched to a classic display, I thought I'd be able to switch back to the updated easily but its doesn't work simply do not!   Thanks I solved the problem now, the option I was looking for that seemed miraculously in Control Panel > personalization > change theme. Then I chose the > update the theme< in="" the="" drop="" down="" option and="" applied="">

  What do you mean by "Classic view"?

  If you see grouping or sorting, you can right click on an empty spot to use the "sort by" and "group by" options.  If you use 'none' for grouping and set your sizes of icons if you want, it should look like any folder of regular file with files inside.

  Couple of things to try:

  1 Type "Aero" (without the quotes) and click Run - 'find and fix problems with transparency and other Visual effects

  2 type "services" (without the quotes) and click on "services" in the list of results. Make sure that "Thèmes" are listed as automatic and started. You will need to be at the level of the admin to change it, then right click on services in the results and click on run as administrator if you need to start.

  EDIT - also check this:

  3 (mode icon display no categories) . Government, click . In the [Advanced] tab, under 'performance', click on . Make sure "Use Visual Styles on Windows and buttons" is checked. Apparently, some say it might stop other than in some cases classic themes.
