• Palm TX but want to HotSync with the Outlook calendar Palm NOT!

  I have a Palm TX with Palm OS Garnet v.5.4.9 I like to use the calendar and tasks etc that come with the Palm operating system, but from what I can tell I can only synchronize with Outlook!  Outlook does not print all my appointments in the week, I also very much and he will cut them to a print on.

  There must be a way I can use the calendar that I love so much of Palm.  I used an old Palm III and IIIx and upgraded to the TX.  It's a deal breaker, I hate Outlook its not functional for me with what I'm doing.  Anyone have any ideas here?  When nothing appears on the Palm calendar or tasks hotsync etc.  I have the Palm Desktop by Access 6.2.2 application.  I went in the HotSync setting Manager but my only options are listed as schedule (Outlook), Contacts (Outlook) etc and I can change if the handheld or desktop computer Replace duplicates.  IT'S HER!  Should I uninstall and reinstall an earlier version?  Palm TX will work with that?  Its my time 04:24 and I'm driving me crazy trying to figure out the fix for this.  Got to sleep but will check for all the answers!

  Hello livingny, welcome to the Palm support community.

  Try running the 'switch' to sync with Palm Desktop.  Somehow, it seems to be set to synchronize with Outlook now.

  On your PC go to: Start Button/All programs/Palm/PIM led Sync / Sync with Palm Desktop.

  To redirect the information in Palm Desktop on your next HotSync calendar App.

  Hello..  Willingness to understand trying to make this as simple as possible.  First find your shortcut on the desktop, palm desktop and right-click on it and select copy.  So if you have a my icon on your desktop, double-click on that, otherwise go initially and all programs and click on my computer.  You will see a local disk C: (your main hard drive containing all of your programs, etc.).  Click on it and you see a lot of files it contains, first find documents and settings and open it, now can find allusers and open etc following the path that I stated previously until you find the startup folder.  Now right-click on the startup folder and select Paste.  Now, you just put a copy of your palm desktop shortcut in your startup folder so whenever you start your computer when you start it will open palm desktop.  So now close everything and restart your computer and you should see open at the end of the priming Palm Desktop.  Hope that works for you...  Good luck.

• All the events of the day so far here breed every year 1 of appears early on the Palm Pre but is okay on Google Calendar...

  Anyone has trouble with the following? I exported the data from Outlook to Google Calendar and then sync with the Palm Pre. Most of the appointments transferred correctly. However, my all day this day events there breed every 1 year to appear early on the Palm Pre but is okay on Google Calendar. I have to physically change the date on the Palm Pre. However, when I do an annual recurring event, it still moves the event 1 day before the same day. I can't solve this problem.

  Thank you all for starting this thread. I called, complained and asked if there is a solution to this problem, but nothing helped. What I got from Palm was of 'reboot start the phone '. This isn't a solution because it also accumulates in text messages.

• Purge of calendar on the Palm Pre

  Does anyone know how to purge the calendar on the pre?  I've got a Treo755p and use the Palm Desktop and Hotsync.  My husband now has a meadow, and I installed Echo, but want to empty his calendar before you synchronize with my desktop, then it will not be a lot of duplicate items.

  Yes you can do it, but you must disable the data backup prior to the partial erasure or again reloading all data.

  This process will erase all data on the device and Palm profile data backup. Go to the emergency switch, the switch to off, you will get a message all data will be deleted from the Palm profile, click ok and proceed with the partial erasure. After all data has been purged, you can then use the DTA tool and reload the data from its original source (Palm DT).

• How can I change my Hotsync back to Palm calendar instead of the prospects we?

  I tried to solve a problem when I changed your handheld to sync with my Outlook. I would like to change this back to sync with my Palm Desktop or at least change the Outlook for Palm calendar. I tried to restore windows back to before I made the changes, but for some reason, it erase all my data in the calendar.  I don't have the ability to change Palm desktop under Hotsync / Custom button.

  This will synchronize your contacts as well as Palm Desktop. Start--> programs--> Palm--> synchronization Conduit--> sync with Palm Desktop PIM. Just to give you a head. You can not split the synchronization. One or the other for all.

  Calendar on Exchange and the Palm items are turned off an hour.
  Exchange server, desktop PC and Palm are all resolved PST at the same time. Palm VersaMail account has been deleted and rebuilt.

  What is interesting is appointments in Outlook show up on top of the Palm an hour initially but they show the correct time in (parenthises) so the Palm seems to be a little aware of the problem.
  This same problem occurs on different Palm T / X with different Outlook accounts.

  Synchronized old palm centro data and with data curent palm centro.

  Now, only Palm Desktop Media show and install icons.

  Make a right-click on the Panel gives only option tailored for media and install.

  My data is all here for calendar, addressbook, Todo and Memo is but it is y not visiable applications Palm Desktip 6.2.2 with 7.02 HotSync manager on Windows 8.1 with 64-bit drivers and bluetooth hotsyc - all this worked well until I sysnced my older desktop with the palm centro which had some information that my current palm centro does not.

  Is there a file that tell applications to start Palm desktop at startup?

  Try right click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, and then select "Run as Administrator".   See if the data is displayed.

• Cannot remove "by" the details of the event calendar data

  I currently have a Tungsten Palm | E2. For a short while, I used to sync it with my work computer; That was before they replaced the computer (lease was up) with a new where it was locked and I couldn't reinstall Palm desktop. Since then I was syncing it with my home computer running MS Vista. Recently, I noticed that when I create a new calendar events on my Palm, they all get a new "with:" the data line (and a user of my old post) after sync'ing with my computer at home. Select this "with:" entry brings me to a screen that allows me to choose from a list of people I can 'complete', 'Answer' or 'reply to all '; Although the selection is answer only causes a fatal error that requires a reset (button on the rear of the machine). Watching the event via the software desktop shows no data point so that it can be cleaned.

  I would like to know why my desktop software is adding this person to a "with:" point new data entires at all, I create on the Palm hardware, how can I activate it off and keep him from doing it in the future.

  If the memory is, as it has been a year, I have synced the E2 T with the old computer (March) that had been used with the IIIxe. I then would have installed the software on the new computer (April) when I got it. I guess it's the last may or June I noticed this new field (using the T E2). Nothing of him so I thought until I changed my job than this past October when I tried to delete the data in the field and found this problem of restart.

  I don't remember the old IIIxe having a "with:" good on the ground.

  Just discovered that, between January 4 and 7 was my last good sync.   Full error msg is

  Error db = func AddressDB = SyncOpenDB, error SYNCERR_FILE_NOT_OPEN

  I use Backup Buddy, Goldmine 6.5, Hotsync 4.1.0 Datebook5 and Palm OS 5.2.1.  Nothing has changed on my computer.  HotSync does not fail, but the contacts and calendar information are not up-to-date in both directions.

  I do a hard reset?  I tried to uninstall / reinstall the conduit of the GoldMine, without success.

  Can't do a restore of backup buddy, because the last good backup of calendar is 4 Jan.  But I went through it, and if I lose the calendar, I can't.  Live contacts on Goldmine, so they are fine and are the most up-to-date.  The calendar is especially on the Palm, because the gold mine don't synch repeating appts well, and it's my life.

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  Finally, I noticed a menu item "events and tasks > find Events" with no shortcuts like Ctrl-F, which I tried. That fixed it.

  To synchronize with the iPhone (also known as iCalendar) schedule you must use a calendar based on a cloud. If you already have the lightning, install the addon Google provider and Setup Google Calendar. If you have already done so, go to settings on your iPhone. In the e-mail box, Contacts and calendars, add your Google account and turn on the calendar. This will synchronize your Google Calendar with the iPhone.
