  I've created a report and try to create a prompt for this report of responses. The name of the field is "Event_type" and has a number data type. When I create a prompt and when I see the list of values values are in dipalyed with 2 decimal placess. For example, in the drop down menu to the guest is performances 12.00, 65.00 while values in the database are 12, etc. 65. How can I make quick view without decimals and only 12, 65 etc. Please advice. Thank you.

  I think that the type of data for a particular column is set to double from RPD. Go to the physical layer and double-click the column and change the int data type. It will appear not decimal anywhere.

  I have a requirement where we invite dashboard that has three columns namely year, month, and report the name.
  The user will choose the name at the prompt report, once made the report that was selected should appear
  on the dashboard page and he should be able to select the data on the basis of the month and the year of it.
  
  Also, if the user wants to go to the other report it should be able to select in the guest and view it.
  
  Pls enlighten us on the way of progress on this issue. From now on, think that if something like this is possible, then it would definitley
  need two prompts a report name and one for the month and the year.

  The BI Publisher standard part of EBS applications.

  Most of the EBS reports (R12) rely on BI Publisher.

  If you check the 'XML Publisher Administrator' responsibility, you can see all the models used in the application.

  Your technical team should already know this.

  On the other hand OBIEE need separate licenses.

  But for you would be BI Publisher.

  I have a quick report column which is 'Adj Type' that contains values 10,20,30, and when the user selects Adj Type = 10, this value should be passed on to the column of the report.
  
  For example. Value in column 1 is 10 and this should multiple with the prompt value and production is expected to be 10 * 10.
  
  Ideas how to capture the prompt values in the column of the report for the calculation.

  (1) declare a presentation online in the section variable set Variable--> Variable--> P_var presentation

  (2) in Fx Table_name. Your_column * @{P_Var}

  @{P_var} {20} (20 is the default, it replaces when a user selects the value in the command prompt

  I encountered a problem. There are two reports, we will appoint Report1 and Report2, they have different applications but even invited, report 2 is bound to report 1. My problem is when I chose a prompt value and link to the Report2, the 2 quick report value is by default but not the value I just chose. Is there a solution or idea about it.

  PS: report 2 is hidden and show as a new window. The prompt scope is level dashboard.

  The problem is that you use the link or Image object. The idea is that you said that the second report opens in a new window, one of its interesting features. The problem is, guests dashboard are not placed using this object.

  You use the Guid. NAV object. This will move the prompt of the dashboard saved in your PV to the second report.

• Upgrade Vista to 7 the SafeMode problem with the compatibility report

  I'm trying to upgrade my computer to Windows 7 after problems with Vista, and now I can start only my computer into safe mode now.

  The update disc work until I get to the "compatibility report" in which it gives me the message: "the computer started using the Windows installation disc.  Remove the installation disc and restart your computer so that windows starts normally, then restart the update."

  This message appears in safe mode with networking, which was started without the installation disc inserted.  I then restarted and booted from the DVD and tried to update again, and he gave me the same message (which makes sense because I boot from the disk).

  This message occurs when I start in safe mode or safe mode with network.

  Is there anyway to solve this problem, so I can go ahead with the update?  Also, I can't start my computer in normal mode to respect the indications that gives me this message.

  You can't go in safe mode

  1. Close all running programs and open the windows if you are back on the desktop.
  2. Click on the Start () button.
  3. In the search box of the Start Menu () type msconfig and press enter on your keyboard - follow UAC prompt.
  4. The System Configuration utility opens
  5. Make sure the Normal startup is selected
  6. then click on the STARTUP tab at the top
  7. Make sure that the startup is disabled
  8. Apply - OK - then follow restart guests

  I read some blog and trying to do the same on the classic report, but all blogs, I found to this day called interactive report or tabular report, that none of them mentions classic report.

  I assume that using the classic report will not be a good idea to start with. :/

• Error in the register EPM system in the validation report generated

  I have a requirement were on the dashboard there are 4 guests say product, region, year, color.
  
  All are select muli-value prompt.
  
  on the dashboard, there is a synthesis report that reflects the value according to the selected data from the command prompt. His work so far.
  
  Now below the customer wants a link that has the title of 'detailed report '. When they click the hyperlink, they want to see detailed but it show only the values selected in the command prompt.
  They claim as detail as there are more number of columns found in the report detail than the summary report following.
  
  Can we can suggest me how to achieve in 10g.

  Hello

  Just add your detailed report to the dashboard as a link or an Image and keep the required columns, you are invited into the report. It should work.

  We have a requirement of obiee where we give the title based on the Prompt values selected several guests
  
  We have guests for the region, subregion, Country, market
  
  If the user just selects the Europe area and click on apply, then title should have values of the region as a "reseller for Europe."
  If the user selects the region and subregion Europe and Central, then title should be "dealer for Central.
  If the service selects the region, subregion and country as Central Europe and America "title should have 'Reseller for America'...

  Hey Lakshmi,

  By title, if you mean the title of your report you can use the approach below:

  -use a narrative mode to hold the title of the report.
  -Add another report column and add a statement box that would hold the prompt value that has been selected. To do this, first create variables of presentation for all columns in the command prompt. For example assume for the region, the SugRegion, the country and the market you create 4 variable presentation, namely - varRegion, varSubRegion, varCountry and varMarket.
  -Now, the case statement in the fx column would be

  case
  "When ' @{varMarket} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varMarket}"
  "When ' @{varCountry} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varCountry}"
  "When ' @{varSubRegion} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varSubRegion}"
  "When ' @{varRegion} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varRegion}"
  else 'No value Selected' end

  -Then, hide this column and reference in the narrative view and make lines to display as 1. Assuming that this column is in first position, in narrative mode, you can mention it as:

  Dealer for the @1

  In fact, we have a requirement that we show the values that are entered by the user in the command prompt at the top of the report answers.
  For example: If the user enters the 'name' as 'X' and 'Number' as ' "1" in the prompt, at the top of the report of responses, is to be displayed in the form name: x and in the next line, number: 1.»
  And I was able to do this by creating a presentation for my guests that variable variable by calling in narrative mode.
  
  But the problem is that my user enters values for the fields of at least 10 as no, name,...,..., etc. If its not not attractive to have 10 views narrative. Is there any way to make this possible?

  You can have n number of reports, simply use the union all in the dash prompt sql results and this will give you the choice to select any report you want.

  Do not use the link or Image. Use the Guid. NAV. oppose instead. Link or Image may open in a new window, but the guests are not passed. GUID. NAV. object passes guests, which is what you want, but can not open in a new window.

• Links in the dashboard reports

  Hi gurus,
  I have a requirement where I need to organize the reports that are on the dashboard as a link. For example, I have 3 reports like this.
  
  The report of sales invoice report purchase order.
  
  Now I want to organize these 3 reports on the dashboard links
  
  Sales report
  The invoice report
  Purchase order status
  
  Let's say when the user click the sales link report it should show the full report with the guests. Is it possible to do in dashboards. Help, please.

  If you want reports such as link in the dashboard, then drag the report to the dashboard and go to his peroperties. Select the link in the dashboard option. You can add all the reports dashboard and choose this option. This will make the reports appear as links.

  If you select any value command prompt and click on the go button pushing values apply as filters to these reports.
