7210 problem offline

I have an officejet 7210. It announced today a carriage jam, I've finally managed to clear. The transport could not completely to the right mechanisms because he had come forward and is stuck. There was a piece of paper he of a paper jam, so I deleted that and pushed the mechanism. Then the Everying seemed okay.

Except when I tried to print something, nothing happened. The spooler in Windows (Vista) says offline.

I ping the printer and there is no message on the printer screen.

I downloaded the HP diagnostic tool and can not see the printer at all and suggested that reinstalling the printer driver.

I tried to reinstall the printer driver and he said: I can't because I'm not an administrator. I am the administrator and my user account is configured as an administrator.

I'm really stuck. Any ideas?

Martin

A few things to check:

  1. Can the printer print a copy?  If this isn't the case, then there are still problems of mechanism that will have to be resolved.
  2. Check the properties of the printer (printer, double-click the 7210printer) by making sure that the 'use printer offline' is unchecked.
  3. You say you can test the printer.  Is it connected via LAN?  If so the HP diagnostic software will not work, it only supports USB connection.
  4. Even with the Admin default account is that the programs are run with non-admin privileges.  If you downloaded the driver from the HP website into exe try right click and "run as Administrator".  You have UAC active?
  5. If you are connected via LAN can you get the 7210's webserver page?  In the home page is the State: ready?

Kind regards

  • C410a connection and problems 'offline '.

I have a printer-C410a USB connected to an Alvarion router and running Windows 7. There are 2 questions; first of all the printer continuously by default 'offline' and to be able to print, I have to go to properties and uncheck this option.

Second, the HP Solution Center continuously shows the printer as "offline" and yet when I open the WEb Server integrated (in the center of Solution) everything is connected and working. I set up static IP addresses and assured Windows uses this, I "allowed" this IP in my router and firewall security, nothing is done. It's very frustrating. I have all the latest updates and drivers. • Several major problems with Firefox - crash, loss of bookmarks and history, totalling amnesia

On my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit system, I met worse problems I've had with Firefox (all versions, I tried the oldest and the newest, who currently use 37). One day, I rebooted by computer, and when I started Firefox, it was completely broken. He was not able to load my favorites, TabGroupsManager could not load my recorded session and it crashed when I tried to search Google or visit several Web sites. I couldn't fix it and migrate Pale Moon until exactly the same thing happened there. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled, but now whenever I open it, it's as if it was just installed - no profile information, no Add-ons, no Favorites, absolutely nothing. Application data HAVE folders for profiles that have been opened every time - Firefox does not access and does not recognize that they exist.

I'm totally lost and at the end of my mind. None of the aid or other sites have been any help at all. The problem is exclusive to a single computer - two other computers I've used do not have this problem at all. Help, please!

(Additional note: when I met the first problems of Pale Moon, it gave me an error that it could not access the bookmarks and history because another application has their use.) This error never appeared in Firefox, but given identical patterns of problems and the fact that the pale Moon is based on Firefox, I think it might be relevant).

Well, I think that the problem at least explained that now and patched up right now. I went to a COMPUTER specialist at work and after work things have stabilized.

The computer I'm is a Department that usually connects to a server. The profile data is actually stored via this server, and when I lived the problems, I was at home and that it was not connected to the server said. Normally it is supposed to be a current synchronization that stores things like that to a task on my computer - but for some reason what not really, or at least not properly. That's why I couldn't find a profile.ini file - it was only stored in a place that could not access the computer. After getting to work and do a few random files and other reading, Firefox and Pale Moon are fully functional again, and I can't find the files profile.ini appropriate on the server (they are not yet on my computer, and I don't know how to read locally).

The best solution to the problems 'offline' we had was through a VPN so that I always have access to the server. I would like to get the files on my computer so that I wouldn't have to worry about this, but it's a question that needs to be addressed separately.

Thanks to Seraph for their help in this confusing issue. I have an idea of what to look for if something like this happens again.

  • OfficeJet 4630 continues to go 'Offline'

I recently got a HP desktop computer (model 21-h014) with a wireless OfficeJet 4630. I have donwloaded the latest version of the software from HP directly from the site and installed the correct versions on this 21-h014 (Windows 8.1) and a Toshiba Windows XP laptop (all on ther same network). The initially installed two very well and felt fine. However, recently the latest HP desktop computer wouldn't print to this printer. He would show as "OFFLINE" in the devices.

However, it would still be print very well since the older XP laptop. I reinstalled the software on the desktop Windows 8.1 and it worked again. 2 days later, he went "OFFLINE" for Windows 8 PC, but still worked fine with XP laptop.

I had to reinstall the software 3 times now on the desktop Windows 8 so that it can fully recognize the printer and start printing again. However, I have never had to reinstall on XP laptop and it just keeps working on it.

What happens here? Yet once, I checked, I had the correct version of the software installed (Windows 8.1, 64-bit) and sound directly from the HP site and not the CD supplied with the printer, so it should be the latest version.

Any suggestions on why it keeps going offline for Windows 8.1 PC? Can be solved somehow. If Yes, how to reinstall the software every day becomes tedious REAL at this point.

Okay, I tried all the suggestions provided in the links, but none of them seemed to work as the printer would always be listed as "OFFLINE". However, I don't seem to fix it with one alternative that others can try if they're running intot he same situation.

Basically, it seemed that I was running because of problems that the printer would get asigned a different IP address each time, it has been turned on. That's when he would then 'Offline'. Therefore, I went into my NETGEAR router configuration area and makes the router assign this printer (according to its MAC address) a certain IP address on the network. At the time, it was 192.168.1.5 so it is essentially 'fixed' address the router is now give the printer HP every time.

Totally, I reinstalled the HP software and released for 192.168.1.5 for the printer also. 2 weeks now and member of the family told the printer still works fine, so I think that this has solved the problem 'Offline'. I think you can do that on the printer itself and did have a static IP address, but not sure I na not go that route this time (I was able to do this method remotely for the Member of the family).

I hope this helps for anyone else who may have a similar problem. It might be a solution for ANY printer too.

  • I broke my external hard drive and now it locked and disassembled?

I just have a lot of questions here. After trying many things I found in a deeper hole.

I use an external hard drive, it's a Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB external hard drive. It is formatted and partitioned, I did using the steps for me the Web of Seagate site, when I got it.

I entered the hole, I'm right now because I had backup problems near the top of my photos of Lyve on my external drive. I think the reason why they would not return, it was because my drive was in offline mode in the "Status" section in Lyve, despite the fact that disk utility says the status of the disk is online. I researched and found out that this can happen if a.) the storage is full or b.) the wifi connection is bad or a connection is not available. When I opened my Seagate dashboard, I discovered that my drive was full, so I thought that was the reason. This made no sense to me because there was no way that I had somehow already packed 1 TB, I had saved only once and it is brand new. However, I deleted a ton of pictures I put in 'Lyve Import' and then allowed the trash. (I must have accidentally imported them several times, so the photos doubled several times or something because altogether they are 50 GB, 1 TB not...) That seemed to be the source because then my drive had 938 GB free!... But my drive was always in offline mode.

So I refreshed, rebooted, unplugged and replugged, returned Wi - Fi works for Seagate Lyve and my computer. But my drive was still offline even though disk utility always says that it is online.

Now, I'm still trying to find out why, it's that my drive has been appearing offline in Lyve when I used different Wi - Fi connections in different places and they all worked well, and I have lots of storage. One of the reasons is that the partition on my drive has still pictures of Lyve copied import, I had deleted, because there is almost no storage on this score somehow, I suspect. As you can see in the second photo, the score says he has only 16 MB of available space, and I somehow used GB 999. If it is the same as before, I don't know how to access this partition, and then delete them. It is a copy of all of these photos of Lyve Import? However...

NOW, currently the main problem that prevents me from continuing to investigate on the previous question is: I had encrypted my external hard drive some time ago. After having annoyed having to enter a password long so many times because of the reopening and that to solve the problem 'offline', I've deciphered this hard drive clicking in the Finder by clicking Decrypt. I entered the password to do this, and have decrypted AFAIK because the password has been accepted. But now my drive says that it is locked and disassembled? What? It is shaded in the left sidebar of disk utility. It does not appear as a device plugged into the Finder. It's as if he is not yet here, but I can still access Lyve. From what I understand, my disc encryption would protect its ' content with a password. Decryption, it would mean that I wouldn't have to type a password to access? Seriously worried that I screwed to the top of something because I did not understand what the consequences would be here. In addition, why my player not appear when the score indicates the status of the disk is online?

I have included pictures of both the disk and partition information, and what they look like now in disk utility. Previously, from what I remember, in the information section of my car he had about 948 GB available, was mounted and he said it was a logical Partition encrypted, if it is of no use. It does not display this information now because it is locked, correct? I did not delete anything?

As you can tell, I didn't know what I was doing the same in the first place - and now, I'm stumped. Please bear with me on this because all of this formatting and partitioning, and editing and similar is confusing me, only knowledge I had performed since the steps provided in the forums or on Seagate and Lyve directions on their website. I really don't understand what that means anyway - I wasn't trying to screw around things just... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

^ Note that this is what my Finder looks like now despite the fact that my external hard drive is connected. He always used to display the full drive Center 'FAVORITES' and 'TAGS' as a device that is currently connected, with the option to display its "table of contents or eject it.

Update - I managed to solve this problem using this forum:

How decrypt external hard drive, so it can be re-partitioned

Make it wiped my drive, but given that I had pictures about it as I have copies on my computer, which was not serious.

    Good luck to everyone

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8600: Hp Office Jet Pro 8600 disconnects when I stopped

I just replaced my old laptop (Sony Vaio, Windows 7 64 bit) with a Lenovo Y 70 (8.1 to Windows 64-bit) and the printer goes offline when I shut down the computer.  EVERYTHING IS THE SAME except for the computers and the operating system.  Thus, we should not need to discuss cords, close the printer, etc.  He has worked with my Vaio (apart from the fact that when it loads, she wants to be in the first position of the ip address the router is rebooted), which was not a problem with my 8500, but it is with the 8600.  It continues to operate correctly with the Vaio.  In order to make it work with the Lenovo, I remove the printer and reinstall it which is a pain.  Something does not directly in the driver or settings.  Can you please help?  Thank you.

    Hey @dlzimmie,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems offline when printing from your computer Windows 8.1 to your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today.

Now, Microsoft has recently released a fix for printing issues in Windows 8 and 8.1 Windows operating systems. They released the hotfix Microsoft identifies "Printer offline" and "Partial Printing' issues as a problem within their most recent operating system. Therefore, when first troubleshooting I have to click here to download and install the fix. "Once the Web site opens click the button for 'available hotfix download". Please follow the prompts on the screen to install the hotfix.

Once the patch has been installed successfully please test print to see if the printer offline problem has been resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Not to install updates

I tried to download updates for Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader several times, but I still encounter the same error for both. When I get to step 2, and I try to open the installation file, nothing happens. I tried both allowing and blocking the old version of Flash, and my browsers of closing and opening the file in my downloads folder and neither worked. I use an HP laptop (don't know exactly which model) with 8.1 Windows and the latest version of Firefox. Can someone help me please?

  • HP4600dn: I/O - 4600 problem clears but still shows "offline".

Have had and used the new 4600dn printer without any problem for 12 years!  Now, it seems to not want to connect to other computers via cat5 connection. It comes up with 'offline' status in the menu windows printer. Every once in a while I can get it to print a small amount of text but if all the graphics are sent immediately, it chokes and changes the status 'offline '. Rude, nothing will be exhausted. Sometimes with a "X error" box in the menu windows "devices and printers" box with no description of the error.  Sometimes the cat5 (p/n J6057a) card is turned on and other times it is not. Reset the router and try other things does not to start to work. Each time happen a comm error (#49.1606 - Svc error) but cycling the power on the printer would always delete it. Not happened for some time. Clues?  I guess that the IO card (J6057a) is the culprit or the motherboard (C9743-60004?) that it plugs into. All the impressions of the printer menu work fine.  The other thing it does to the initial power to the top is to do a short flash of the data green led - something I don't remember having seen it before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!   (it has a new cartridge black and yellow - I have also a new cartridge Cyan, Magenta and black.) My distributor will not take back one of them because it is more than 30 days, he bought. I have a few days to return the other two!   The printer never had anything but toner HP / power supplies inside. If it's not fixable for a reasonable price (or boards are not available), anyone interested in toner?)

It is a common problem. The 615N network card had problems and develops issues over the years. Basically, he developed cold welds on the main processor on the card. You can fix the map yourself according to the following instructions. With the power off, remove the card from the printer. Now remove the piece of plastic (2 screws torx 10). Now, take a dish from oven and conditioned the only card face the saucepan back so the bottom does not touch the pan. Now a good Preheat 350F (177C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the card in the oven for 8 minutes. Remove and let cool for 10 minutes. Put the back on the map, to be inserted in the EIO of the printer housing and turn the printer on and the odds are that the printer works ok. I've fixed more than 50 of these cards over the years, and a good 95% come back to life.

  • After the upgrade to Firefox 5, I get a message: "Firefox is currently in offline mode and cannot browse the Web." IE 9 connects to the web without problem. Suggestions?

This began immediately to FF5.0 installation after the upgrade to FF3.6.18. I uninstalled and reinstalled both 3.6.18 FF and FF 5.0: the old version connects to the web without problem, but FF5.0 never does. IE9 is able to connect properly.
Thinking that my firewall software (McAfee) might get in the way of FF5.0, I uninstalled, but remained the connection problem.

    Check this setting:

I solved this problem, but I was unable to find the answer directly, so I wanted to post it

I have a Windows XP laptop that had files offline works suddenly stopped working. the error popping up was "access denied."

The user has had plenty of sharing and security on the network share permissions. They could create files on the share, but could not in any way make a folder available offline
