• BlackBerry Passport Passport does not work for me - suggestions requested

  Hi Support Forum.

  I got my passport for two days, and the path forward is unclear.  At this point, I think I'll return it.

  My previous BB was a blowtorch OS7.  E-mail for this device has been managed by the Blackberry Internet Service and when I worked at RIM called the Blackberry Web Client.  Call this fabulous service of the BIS.  I use a small ISP that works very well the POP3/SMTP servers, but they don't have any capacity or wish to store e-mail.  I got an email address with them since 1994, and I don't want to give up.

  What mail is arrived at my ISP and survived spam virsus scan, he was placed on a POP3 server, and a copy was provided to the BIS (such as [email protected]).  BIS filtered incoming e-mails using the filters I could configure and then eliminated survivors emails to the device.  Perfect.  Very old emails the torch nosed over and have been deleted.  Perfect.

  My desktop computer from the server via Thunderbird POP3 e-mails, and they have been removed from my POP3 mailbox.   My POP3 mailbox is empty, my desktop computer has everything and my held torch I want it.  Perfect.

  BB10 does not support that at all, of course. My passport has no e-mails on this subject because it is perfectly synchronized with an empty POP3 mailbox.

  My ISP suggested that I should configure IMAP with gmail from Google.  Several appliances in a managed environment.  The instructions look delicate and we must all understand that giving our e-mail database to gmail is just like him giving the NSA.  I have no idea how to handle this.

• A65 Suggestion/Feature Request

  If I set to RAW or RAW + JPG quality, it should be able to the JPG mode for these feature that only works with JPG, as the HDR. I wish that I don't have to first change the JPG mode, then select HDR shot. A parameter that allows to automatically change to jpg or not would be VERY useful.

• Tabs on other computers does not appear in history (FF4)

  In the new FireFox 4 Fox sync is built in. I have everything set up and sync my history and everything, but tabs on other computers does not appear in the history with the orange button at the top left.

  It appears only when you have the menu bar displayed under history. This should really be added to the default menu.

  Sorry if this is the wrong section or the bad way to suggest/request this. I was going back and forth on putting this in the timing of the fox or the desktop section and even suggestions for future versions. It is a suggestion and question, cause it may be something hidden to get (as clicking and now the back button).

  I had this problem too.

  However, here, next to your tabs you should have a little down arrow icon. Click on it and there is an option named "tabs on other computers.

• sec_error_invalid_key using https to the Firefox 33 access router

  33 Firefox has tightened its security settings. 33 FF on my Vista system now relates the sec_error_invalid_key trying to enter administration on my old Linksys WRT120N (version 1, latest firmware 1.2.11) router. Versions of Firefox, up and including 32 do not have this problem. 32 FF on my OS X not related the problem I don't have not upgraded FF here yet. IE on my Vista system also has the problem. Google Chrome is not the problem.

  A web article I found indicates that 33 FF now consider less than 2048 to be insecure key lengths, and it also provides is no longer the option to ignore this insecurity and still access the site (the router in this case) when he thinks https is not safe.

  My suggestion/request is that an update of the firmware should be provided for this router that includes a key of length over long which FF 33 will accept to be sure. (I would also like to see FF still accept the shorter keys, but this isn't a problem for the Linksys, well if you start to see this problem a lot of users, you can try to push FF to offer an option so that its users can accept the shorter keys).

  I heard that the FF 33 is problems with certificates Self sing who have most of the routers. This affects other secure sites, not only the Linksys routers configuration pages. If FF 33 can't stand low signatures, you can consider using another web browser for now. You can also change the router to access http to https to avoid this error on 33 FF (recommended for local access only).

  

• After an automatic update by McAfee SecurityCenter, Windows Security Center can't detect that McAfee is installed.

  Today, McAfee SecurityCenter automatically updated itself in version 10.5. Following this update, Windows Security Center detects that McAfee is present on the system, but McAfee reports that it is fully operational.

  This is problem with McAfee and I suggest request support to help you, but you can also try to update Windows and make sure you havelatest service pack and also check you might be able to upgrade to the version of newser free McAfee.

  I have no specific experience with this fake antivirus, but as far as I see it, all recommend this site is secure.
  One of the programs that advise is MalwareBytes AntiMalware, and I am very familiar with it. It is safe and it is excellent. Not only for this purpose, but I recommend you download it and run it periodically.

• I know there is a new version of Premiere Pro for creative cloud but does not update my version of Premiere Pro and I do not know why.

  I need to be able to change work and home, that was child's play in our world of Adobe Creative Cloud. However my work got the 2015 version updated to CC and for some reason any my CC at home will not be updated and I don't know why.

  In addition to the answer to the question of the Peru Bob (who we users need to help!) ... There are a few things I could suggest/request...

  (1) what are the specific numbers of your applications to the studio & home? Last build is 2015.0.2, construction 9.0.2(4).

  (2) disconnect from your Cloud creative desktop app, then reconnect. Sometimes this resolves this issue. Give it a whirl...

  If 2) does not work, you may need to use the soft Cleaner CC Adobe to uninstall Desktop CC and PrPro and download & launch of office, then the application download & install PrPro & update.

• Text filters, metadata and accurate correspondence 'folder '.

  Greetings oh wise masses!

  I was fumbling with the following and my frustration level is really high, but that's just me. While LR 4.1, Mac OS 10.7.4

  This is my story, maybe someone can come up with a solution, the partial solution, sympathy, or the divine advice... If all goes well at least it may help someone else.

  So, I have a Smart Collection I am creating. One of the criteria I want to use is: "only the photos in the folder"My Photo shoot.  I'm assuming the metadata folder for a single image was 'My Photo Shoot', but alas, I was wrong.  It seems to be "/ Volumes/picture disc/Images/PhotoShoots/My Photo Shoot / NameOfImage.dng.  That's my conclusion of pointing the cursor on the field of metadata file in the library... view is what you see.

  OK, so this is just part of the problem... even if metadata file was just 'My Photo Shoot", not is apparently not in the text filter to specify an exact match (Incidentally, the documentation seems to insist that" contains all the ' is an exact match.)  Nope.  I'm sorry.  It is not the case. "It seems to be just a"and"from each token in the search string). So my first suggest / request to anyone who might be listening can is... we have the option "is" added to the metadata string comparisons?  You know, a real exact match?  If there is really such a thing, someone please enlighten me.

  To summarize at this point, I have to issues/questions:

  1. Is it possible to do an "exact match" in a text filter?  Research forums implies the only way to do this would be to eliminate the spaces from whatever metadata you are looking.  This seems to be a bad limitation.
  2. What is really in the metadata file?  Some tests imply that the name of the file really is not part of the metadata for the file, but what is in there?  Hovering on the metadata file shows the path and full name. With the help of exiftool on the. DNG file directly showed not all file metadata, for LR must be create / drifting.

  Now, my 'meta' (pun intended) question is: is it possible for me to create a Smart Collection, which all members are contained in a folder specific, already existing,?

  I know for the future, there are other ways to do it, but I think need them a little thought before you import the photos.

  Any help/ideas/inspiration/support, that someone could provide would be appreciated.  Let me know if what I wrote needs clarification (it is clear to me... but who knows if it makes sense for someone else?)

  Unfortunately, there is no way to exact match of text fields in filters or smart collections - unbelievable but true.  Any filter plugin provides an exact match, however.

  Folder in smart collections criteria concerns the full path of the folder, for example, the Volumes/Disk/Images/PhotoShoots/My Photo Shoot picture.

• Microsoft has a suggestion box where I could make a feature request?

  I want to request a feature for Windows.  I like the way Ubuntu Manager of windows allows you to browse your computer with in a similar way to firefox tabs. Also like the mode two pane that you can use to move files between folders. Much more elegant to deal with a lot of windows open. If windows were that, in addition to its own window snap feature, I think it would be the most natural and intuitive operating system out there.

  Is there a suggestion box?

• Suggestions to overcome this problem: a bug with the HTTP PATCH request with data on the body

  I'm really stuck with a problem and I'm looking for suggestions for solutions and help implementingit.

  In summary:

  (1) the third REST API that I use use HTTP PATCH with the JSON data.

  2) there is a bug in Qt 4.8 that prevents me from using the http verb.

  (3) one of the main features of my new app is severely compromised because of this.

  (4) I found an independent patch to the bug in question.

  What are my options now?

  (A) should I patch Qt reconpile and 1980s, me with my application? I have no experience with these procedures.

  (B) is it possible that I can only implement the elements of fastening of the patch in my application code? I don't see how.

  (C) request and wait for BlackBerry for the patch and release it on the next update? That imensily would limit my clients, only running 10.3.3 and I was 10.3.0.

  (D) any other alternative!

  As I said, I'm really stuck now. I was able to realease my app without this big news, but it would be a great disappointment.

  Any help is appreciated.

• Update issues... Request for Suggestions

  I am currently using 10Gexpress and Apex 3.2.1 with the embedded PL/SQL gateway. We have only a few users and no requirement to access internet/firewall.
  I read the 11Gexpress install documentation and the upgrade of the Apex documentation, but there was little assistance if we consider two upgrades.
  
  (1) is there a reason to consider the listener to Apex in this type of environment of low impact? This would provide benefits to compensate for the additional complexity?
  for example: I do not have the Forum set up to print - I didn't need, as all the reports can be downloaded to Excel. Printing requires a HTTP Server?
  
  (I would use a button or a link to run a 'report' query and download the result of the query in Excel... Maybe I need a web server? Separate the wire for that matter: query SQL Export link or button )
  
  (2) what version of the APEX comes with 11 G express?
  
  (3) is affected the new Mgmt DB to 11 G web interface by upgrading to the latest version of APEX?
  
  (2) should I upgrade Apex 4.1 first, then upgrade the DB to 11Gexpress?
  * Documents suggest that the DB Upgrade requires a data export of 10G, a complete uninstall of DB (including the APEX and the Apps I've built) and an import of data in 11 G
  * Will Exported APEX 3.2.1 Apps can be imported into APEX 4.1? -C' is why should I upgrade APEX then the DB
  
  (3) what should I monitor in either upgrade?

  Hello

  (1) using the Apex listener you free up some DB resources in form of Apex static files are not displayed by database.

  (2) XE 11 G have Apex 4.0.

  (3) If you upgrade 11 G XE Apex last Apex 4.1, you lose the database management.
  Like you did lose Apex 2.1 management of the database when you move to Apex 3.2

  (4) you should not pass Apex before you update DB
