  So, I encountered a strange problem that arose after a few updates ago.  When I first bought the BDPS3100, he was able to identify and instantly stream any type of file from my server.  I use a Synology DS211j with a pair of 2 TB drives configured in RAID.

  After a patch (or two), I noticed that play any file (with the exception of the opinion) resulted in an error "format not supported or unrecognizable.  I did a little by fiddling with the settings on my DS2 but can't seem to find anything, I changed which would explain the problem.  In addition, my Playstation 3 was still playing all the exact same files without problem.

  After a further inspection, I noticed the files that wouldn't play on the S3100 would display a file tag "M2TS" next to the file, while those who have played (only think) would display the appropriate tag (AVI).  All other types of file (MKV/MPG etc.) would appear as M2TS.

  My next step was to copy a type of each (AVI/MKV/MPEG) on a USB key and plug it into the S3100.  Curiously, all the tags of the file display correctly, and all THE FILES read HIM properly as well!

  This means, of course, there is something wrong with streaming, but why it affects the S3100 and not my PS3?  I not pleasant not with all the parameters between the plots, there was a patch that has affected some type of network protocol that I wasn't aware of?

  Did you use to access your Raw Nikon Transfer files?

  As in most of the scenarios, Nikon Transfer causes the raw files to get corrupt and for that reason you can't access these raw files in all Adobe programs.

  Suggest to share the screenshot of the exact error you get when you try to open it in Photoshop.

  My catalog, previews and RAWs have all been on a connected USB3 SSD 1 TB and backed up with time machine to 2 TB drive HARD USB3.

  Now all 3 of my discs are at capacity.

  Historically I've shot with a D800 the D810 so the raws were huge. Now, I'm moving to an X - T2.

  The easy answer is to move the SSD to 2 TB SSD and the TM drive to a 4 GB ext USB disk, which should buy me a few years.

  Maybe another option is to invest in a 4-Bay NAS, stick 4x4gb operates to and use the batch for the backup storage and image TM.

  What do you think guys? even if I'm running a processor i7 and 32 GB of RAM, sake still images second or 2 to appear in my current setup, I really don't want them to appear all slower. It was suggested that I could move all the images more than a year on the NAS and keep the catalog, the previews and the latest images on the 1 TB SSD.

  Curious to hear other ideas and configurations that work well.

  Since you are using a fairly recent Mac she must have a thunderbolt port, otherwise 2 of them and you can also add a USB 3 hub to connect multiple disks to your current configuration.
