Support for vSGA using nVidia Quadro 6000 in view 5.3 / 5.5 Esxi?

Hello - I have a client that is running view 5.2 / Esxi 5.1 using vSGA via nVidia Quadro 6000 GPU in hosts. We use the 304.76 driver version today. I noticed that nVidia Driver 319.65 is on the nVidia site. Any input there information if either the 304.76 for Quadro 6000 driver will work on Esxi 5.5 or if the nVidia v319.65 driver will work for GPU Quadro 6000 in Esxi 5.5?

Thank you very much in advance,

Chris

As far as I know, it should work fine.

Edit: Here is this link related to this issue.  It goes also to other topics with excellent similar information:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/reviews/power-supply-specifications-ATX-reference, 3061 - 12.html

First, it is important to know that there is another interface "6 to 8 pins" which is a feature of power-for - motherboard power ... you don't want that, sure, and connectors plastic is having different shapes.  You can see that he has 4 yellow wires (usually the supply wires) and would not have the sequence of correct wiring of a PCIe 6 to 8 pins supplementary power converter:

I don't know the show, too, is not what you want.  This looks like an 8 pin to two adapter 6 pins.  You want a 6-pin to 8 pin adapter.  Is attached another picture of the nVidia type tells you to do.  If you look at the hyperlink at the top of this post you will find the wiring of 6 pins on 8 wire and for your project, you will probably want to follow the advice of nVidia for best results.  There is power to the ground and 'sense' son to all be correctly connected to the adapter.

There is also some PCIe additional adapters that allow you to convert several sheets supply 4 son "molex" grouping in a single 6-pin PCIe or connector 8.  It is best to not do this if you have a power with official ones built in.  Your the fact, and to check the manual, it looks like your top rated power supply has 3 of these auxiliary PCIe power cords (G1, G2 and G3 will be printed on the side of the end of your 3 card).  On the other hand, offer reduced rated power of the Z820 has only 2 additional PCIe (auxiliary) cords supplied by it.

I don't know if you are forced to use a good 6-8 converter or could if away with plug 6 pin right in the correct position on the plug 8 pins of your videocard directly, according to article of the hyperlink.  I, personally, would get an adapter.

EDIT: Here is a picture of two ends of what is supposed to be a PCIe 6-pin supplementary power adapter PCIe 8 pins.  The first and third power pins 6 pins are officially DC 12v (some references have each of the first 3 pins being 12vDC) and subsequently, the rest are supposed to be a 'sense' or earthed.  When I look at the plug 8-pole end wiring I do not see a ground wire or ground jumper coming to pin 8.  I would not recommend it, unless I'm wrong about his son:

  • Only CS4 Support ATI Stream or NVIDIA CUDA?

The title says it all... CS4 supports hardware acceleration using NVIDIA CUDA and ATI stream? I find nothing in the specs.

    The quick answer is NO!

With third-party software there is a possibility to support CUDA. When CS5 comes early next year he definitley be supported CUDA at least a few cards.

After trying to activate CUDA seems that CS6 does not support the card.

Is there an update for CS6 for recent GFX cards?

    See you soon

    > Is there an update for CS6 for recent GFX cards?

This card has been added to the list of cards supported for accelerating GPU of the raytraced 3D rendering engine in after effects CC (12.1):

GPU (for CUDA and OpenGL) changes after effects CC (12.1)

You use the traced the beam 3D rendering engine? If this isn't the case, then this is unimportant to you, since it is the only feature in After Effects that uses CUDA.

  • Support for Nvidia Quadro M2000M with Premiere Pro CC

    Hello

We want to buy a new laptop Performance.

There is a NVidia Quadro M2000M graphics card. ()

It has 4 GB of VRAM and Support for CUDA. (640 CUDA units)

Maybe someone has this already tested configuration?

This card would work with first, active CUDA?

    Thanks in advance.

For a Performance laptop, it's a lousy performance video card, but it will work.

  • Why K5200 Quadro card from Nvidia does not appear as a map taken in charge for after effects CC 2014? It is listed as supported for first Pro CC 2014.

I am putting together the specs for a Dell workstation that I use to make Adobe CC work, including video with After Effects and Premiere Pro. My computer expert worries that the card Quadro K5200 I want to have the system is listed as supported for Premiere Pro CC 2014, but that it is not listed as supported for after effects CC 2014. Are there problems of compatibility with this card and EI?

    Thank you!

I enjoy the conversations of the sidebar and it's valuable information, but I'm really hoping to hear from Adobe on why this card is not listed, supported by the AE.

Oooh, I can answer this too!

Development and release of the CC, they do not work with the rendering engine raytraced we did at all (except in the align each version for compatibility reasons), so no more cards have been (or is going to be) tested and added to the white list.

It may be a bit before someone with the official logo of has is available in. This is a user forum. We are grateful that Adobe people push their heads in many (seriously, gets it the AE Forum is a lot of love by considering how tiny the AE team), but sometimes it can take a while so that they appear. (Especially if some of them are on holiday). That's why they have people like us; We cannot have has, but we have M, V and P

Speaking of the integration of C4D: when I recently visited the offices of the Adobe team, I must have a look at some of the new technology, they are working on future versions. I am very pleased of the future development of the AE. The lines between 3d and compositing are really starting to fade. Some of the things that currently lack us (expressions to control the animation of models C4D, for example) will be addressed.

Now, if you plan to do a lot of work in 3d which is most often the titles and that sort of thing, I think looking at the 3d or 3d Zaxwerks Invigorator element. Latest version of the item makes it extremely fast given it's beautiful, it can look. It's amazing, really. (And it uses the GPU!)

  • NVIDIA quadro k1200 for first pro

    Hello.

NVIDIA quadro k1200 is supported by Premiere Pro? What version of it? I consulted the list given by Adobe, but this card is not included in any version

Do you recommend another with the same budget graphics card?

    Please help me.

This configuration is a good starting point. Ideally, you want 32 GB of ram and 16 GB is a good start. The PSU is enough large for a card of 4 GB Geforce 960GTX that is what I would say. For later use, you want the WD Black drives if you get WD Desktop drives. Blue and green discs have a lot more integrated power management and an error higher failure rate.

  • Tecra M9: When a driver WHQL XP for NVidia Quadro NVS 130 M will be available

    Hello

I am trying to downgrade a Tecra M9 from Vista to Windows XP and I want to know when a driver WHQL for NVidia Quadro NVS 130 M will be released because the latest version from the support CD is a beta version and is not WHQL.

    Thank you very much

But - this important if the driver passed whql? In my opinion NO, because this thing whql is a pure invention of microsoft. If I were you I would install that drivers matter so certified or not and if you really have problems, then you can always give some feedback.

  • If I leave the IE8 on Windows XP Mode, but never use it, is there a way I can be hacked by him once Microsoft stops support for Windows XP?

Original title: Windows XP in virtual mode

I have Windows 7.1 with Windows XP in virtual mode so that I can use older products, not supported by 7.1.  In virtual XP mode, there is an Internet Explorer 8.  I understand that after Microsoft eliminates support for XP that can cause future security issues.  I run the latest version of Internet Explorer on my Windows 7.1.  If I leave the IE8 on the virtual XP mode but never use it, is there a way I can be hacked through it?  Should I remove the IE8 completely of the virtual Windows XP?

If you never use IE (any version), it cannot be 'hacked '.

If you wanted to be doubly secured, you can prevent accidental use by uninstalling...

    • Open the Control Panel - Add or remove programs
    • Remove IE8 (and IE7 if necessary) - click to highlight, then click on remove
    • Click Add/Remove Windows components
    • Uncheck the box Internet Explorer and click Next
