Product support for Portege M800

Hi all

Recently my girlfriend gave me her laptop TOSHIBA M800. Enlighten me pls as to why I can't find the tab product support of Toshiba M800 model?

The models that I see that there are all the 805-XXXXXX.

What is 800 mean 800 series and in fact the laptop that I'm having now is one of these 805-XXXXXX?

I tried to see if one of these M805 XXXXXXX match the model number I see on my laptop but none of it is. Mine is PPM81L.

Just trying to find out if my laptop comes with bluetooth.

Appreciate your help on this.

I really surprised that you can't find it, but I think you are looking on the wrong page of Mr. Portege 805 can be portable US model but if you have the page of European support for the use of European model under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

  • Where can I get support for Portege Z830 Recvery?

I had the computer three months again.
    The msata ssd drive failed.
I think it's a bad situation for a device without moving parts.

I live in a regional area and told me that the computer should be sent for repair that would take a considerable time. I needed the computer so I bought a new msata and reinstalled windows from another copy, I had.

I lost of course now windows and drivers etc, who were on the recovery of the msata partition.

Anyone know if I can replace them?

At first, I must say that you should not waste your time and send your Portege Toshiba service provider as soon as possible. They must replace SSDS. The warranty is valid, and it will cover all repair costs.

Anyway, to download drivers, visit Toshiba download page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Original recovery media can be ordered on http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/

I don't know in which country you live, but you can check out options and accessories for your Portege M800. Visit the Toshiba page that belongs to your country and visit the section "Options & accessories".

  • Re: Portege R830 - cannot find my model on the list of Product Support

    Hello world

I recently bought a Portege R830 and was trying to find support for my model page.

However, on the list of Product Support, where you choose the model, I can't find which is mine.

My model is displayed as * R830-1056UB * in the box your laptop came and he just say * Portégé R830 * on the underside of the laptop.

There are several entries for R830 on product support list, but * R830-1056UB * is not one of them.

    * Any ideas how I can decide which one is mine? * (I'm worried about download bad software/drivers for my laptop)

I'm not in a country with a support phone number and it seems Toshiba support do not have a contact e-mail, so I was not able to contact Toshiba directly for help.

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

  • Pavilion g6-1050-st: no support for my product?

    Hello.

I tried to configure my laptop so I can use the switchable graphics feature since I was 2 GPU. My Catalyst Control Center UI does not show this feature. I've tried 5 or 6 different guides to solve this problem, but no success. I came to the conclusion that I need to upgrade my GPU of HP website drivers, that I can't find.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-G6-1000-Notebook-PC-series/5046257/model...

No GPU driver? Why is this and where to find them?

Next part of my question, I tried upgrading the BIOS with update the link, don't still no dynamic-fixed choice given. I tried to download the older AMD drivers, still no switchable graphics in CCC. What should I do to see this feature?

    Thank you.

Edit: My (g6 1050st) product is not in this list, given in sticky thread:

    http://support.HP.com/tr-TR/document/c02948560

So I did not date this driver BIOS, I updated one given in my product page. But I have used graphics switchable back in Windows 7. So what can be my problem?

    Hi there @Onat

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand you are trying to get switchable graphics with your current configuration. I'm happy to help you with this.

Check the product page, it seems that Windows 8.1 is not among the operating systems supported for this laptop. There are a few pilots of Windows 8, but as you say it's not for graphics cards. As for the BIOS, when it comes to laptops and laptop computers, it is common to lock certain options available on desktop computers, because they can cause serious problems with heat and performance on a laptop. Dynamic mode is one of the people often locked and switchable graphics, fixed - function is controlled by the system, as is the video memory available.

The lack of a custom driver, your best option may be to go back to Windows 7, use the one for her. What follows is the driver which includes two graphics processors for Windows 7.

    AMD HD graphics driver

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions let me know.

  • Where is the support for Sonicwall products?

I had a post on a topic that is important here since Friday 21. There is no entry at all. This seems to be a forum "network security" generic, non-specific to sonicwall, but I see nowhere elsewhere on the Dell site for questions on sonicwall products. The old forum of sonicwall is read-only.

-What is it? It is quite appalling. If support for sonicwall products is this low I would hesitate before buying again the sonicwall.

    Uniquehandle,

This isn't a technical support forum, a public forum that users and come to ask questions and get assistance with their products.

Yes, just a forum for network security, they are spotted but especially all the posts here are the Dell SonicWALL UTM product and other related products.

Yes, there is a lot of activity here of people like me, who work in technical support for Dell SonicWALL. But this isn't a replacement for Technical Support requests.

No, we are not required to answer questions on this forum, but we do so in the interest of the community and to increase the amount of knowledge that our users have. This helps to learn more about the product and have the ability to help other people on this forum when they display asking questions. There is also no SLA on response to any post on this forum.

Yes, the SonicWALL forum was read-only for a while that we are Dell SonicWALL and our community is now the responsibility of the Dell family.

Our support for our products is very strong and only get better every day. Yes, our support is provided with a contract, but this is to make sure that we, Dell SonicWALL, can pay the technicians.

From what you've posted so that you do not have a support contract with us very probably you don't have a case with Technical Support. If this isn't the case, you do not have a case with technical support and troubleshooting went beyond your support contract send me a DM and I will look into the issue.

WARNING: It is, in any case form or shape, a guarantee that I have the poster of this response, or any other employee of SonicWALL Dell will be troubleshoot or solve your problem via this medium. It's just to discuss the issue with the opportunity to provide a form of help and guidance with your question.

  • Test drive for Product Support fails but never produced a report

I encounter errors on the provided factory HD executes the product support car product testing errors, but never complete the 'Ongoing selected diagnostic' phase, proceeds to the stage of "Creation of Diagnostic report.

The screen with the status of the individual subtests was erased and I now just display "Diagnosis in progress - Please do not close this window.", so I can't even report showing real chess.

Since the failed drive is my Windows 7 system drive, I really need to replace soon.

    How should I proceed?

Run Dell diagnostics outside of the operating system - F12 at startup.   Choose the diagnosis.  If the system is under warranty and you notice a mistake from 2000-, record the last four digits and contact Dell support with this number.  They will replace the drive if there is a failure error.

  • Portege M800 wireless issue

I go Portege M800 from here in Australia, with Vista 32. I'm really getting sick of the Windows wireless software.

On my old (not the Toshiba laptop) I usually use Intel PROSET Wireless Utility. Is it possible to use it with my laptop M800?
I tried to download and install something on the site of toshiba, called: SP300-IntelProset-120004-Vis32
However (for me) that installs only the following:
    WiFi, advanced statistics
    WiFi manual Diagnostics

No sign of the real PROSET Wireless connection utility from Intel.

    Thank you

Check out this page of Intel:

There you can download this tool.

And here you can find the whole directive and how to use it:

  • Defective screen on Portege M800

I bought a PORTEGE (M800-107) in 2009 and before the expiration of the 3-year-old warranty (2012), the screen went black all the time.
I sent it to the official service of TOSHIBA in Greece (called "IDEAL his '), who fixed it in about a month (and after two attempts).
A year and a half later, the screen went black again. Now they ask me 500 euros for the replacement of the screen. Of course I won't give all these money.
Portege was the 3rd Toshiba laptop, I used. I chose it because I wanted something powerful and professional. The irony is that the more expensive model has exploded sooner than the cheapest.
However, it was the LAST ONE on your part.

PS: in order to take my laptop (without attachment), I have to pay 30 euros for check technicians!
Really, you know someone who goes to the service for fun? Or I am responsible for the failure of your model?

    Hello

To be honest I m was really asking you this display problem. Portege and Tecra are the best notebooks of Toshiba business line and for years, they are known as products of high quality with the best material.

Anyway, sometimes the best products have problems and be in trouble. Similar things happen with all technical products. I know that's enough damage and angry, especially in the time when you need your laptop.

Maybe it sounds stupid now, but maybe you can buy view on your own and find someone who can exchange it for you. I did it for my friend a few years ago. We purchased watch on eBay and we exchanged it alone. Of course on our own risk.

    Bye and good luck

  • Portege M800-103 - Bluetooth not working not not Linux

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Portege M800-103 (PPM81A) and a system to dual-boot with Windows Vista and Ubuntu 8.1 x86_64 (recently installed).
Almost everything works well under Ubuntu except bluetooth, which is not yet recognized.

I also tried the omnibook and the toshset (with unbearable = 12) drivers. I have had no success at all.

Little help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

Have you checked OS support for this model of laptop computer?
As much as I know this Portege is not Linux supported and Toshiba doesn't offer BT stack for Linux.

Have you checked some Ubuntu forum? Maybe you can find some useful information there. I imagine that a lot of people have the same problem with the different laptop models.
