Support of screws on the bottom of the 2408WFP monitor

Hey there!

We took apart the screen base to ship and the four screws on the bottom have been fitted. Do you know what type of screws they are?

In addition, those are the only things that we must mount the stand together, right?

Thank you!

I took it to a hardware store and they solved easily.

For reference, M4 -.70 screw work. I think it means wide .7mm and 4mm long.

  • HP27vc: Tech Support a severe disappointment - the HP monitor drivers

So, I bought this monitor at Staples last weekend. I installed and also the HP Support Assistant. When you're done, I then found that I was still operating under the generic "pnp monitor" driver Windows.

HP Support Assistant was no help at all - he could not recognize that I am using a HP monitor.

So I called HP Tech support today - as it turns out, it is offshore support. After finally convincing that I indeed had a HP device that was under warranty, I was connected with another offshore technician, who proceeded to 'teach me' there is no HP DRIVERS - all use generic drivers. At this point, I realized that I was being quite a lot of manure of cattle. When I asked why HP Support Assistant did not see the monitor on my system, he said that it was not supposed to see the monitor, only the pc mainframe. I told her that it was not very helpful and ended the call.

So I dug even more, and of course, I found HP27vc LCD Monitor driver, sp73128.exe. I installed this and now my monitor is running with the HP driver and not the generic.

I checked HP Support Assistant once again, who wondered if the correct driver has been installed now, he can now see the monitor, but alas, he still does not see it.

Is it worth keeping this HP Support Assistant installed? I mean, because he does not see the monitor, how can it be of any use to me?

    Any comments or thoughts appreciated

    Hello:

I guess you can get all kinds of divergent opinions about the usefulness of the software HP Support Assistant (HPSA).

It is one of the first programs I uninstall when I have a PC HP.

You have found, you can check the support page for your HP product for new drivers (or drivers in general).

One of the things that scares me is that some people have the software HPSA runs automatically, and it will download and install software updates without knowing the user.

This can be particularly dangerous if it downloads and installs an update of the BIOS for the PC, and work on the PC during this process. Not sure yet it is running, or casually reject all notifications that you are busy (I do this at the time), and if you close your PC for an update of the BIOS, you end up with a dead PC.

I read a few forum posts where that happened indeed a few people unhappy.

You can set the program to you not inform that, and then you choose when and which updates to install.

I just get rid of it... one more application running in background to slow down your PC.

Use the utilities to clean and optimize disk at least once a month to keep your PC works well.

  • 4415 proBook s: replacement of the optical drive - need a support and screw

    Hello

I'm replacing an optical drive, reference 535816-001 for a 4415 s HP's Probook. I've lost the support that attaches to the rear of the optical drive, seen in Maintenance and Service of Guide on page 68 (http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c01918897-3.pdf). The HP parts store said that the replacement of optical discs does not understand the support. I also talked with HP Support, and after putting me on hold and check with their supervisor, said that there is no spare part for the optical drive carrier. Does anyone know of a place to buy a replacement media for optical drive 535816-001 part number that would be compatible with a 4415 s HP's Probook?

I also need a Phillips PM2, 5 × 7.0 live which blocks the optical drive to the computer. I saw screw for sale online kits, but was not sure if someone knew a place where I could buy one.

Thank you very much for the help.

Wait, I don't understand it how can you lose this part if you already work on it? And for your parts, you should look on eBay if they have this hardware and screws for your car as well.

  • How to loosen the screw on the cover of the hard drive T420i?

Hello, I'm moving to a bigger HDD on my T420i, but I can't seem to loosen the screw on the cover of the hard drive. Should what size/type of screwdriver I use? Thank you!

I use a Phillips 00 bit to remove the HARD drive cover plate. Once you have unscrewed the cover, using a small lever plastic (credit card works, too) for this boost to the bottom, and then it can be removed safely.

  • Pavilion G7-1338DX: lost the screws of the housing on Pavilion 17.3 "

Hi people! I had to replace a bad hard drive in the laptop and somehow move the screws of the lower casing 12 like a fool... I'm usually careful about keeping the screws in a safe and marked place for what and whence they came. The service manual indicates that the screws are screws M2, 5 x 7.0 (page 50 in print, page 58 read in Adobe http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03538328 ).

However, when you try to order on this site, a warning to the owners of HP/Compaq laptop says that the repair can errs on the size of the screws (note the link highlighted yellow "Important notice"):

    http://www.laptopscrews.com/m2.5x7.htm

"Please note that errors have crept in HP/Compaq manual with screw sizes. The error is usually in the diameter of the screw. An M2.5 indicated as an M2 or one indicated as a screw M2, 5 M3. If possible measure a screw before you order or order the screw in two diameters if you have doubts. You should also know that HP/Compaq manuals report measures the entire screw. "For a screw of M2.5x9 HP, please order a M2.5x8."

Because I don't even have screws to measure, can someone confirm what are actually the screws of the housing 12 real background for a Pavilion G7-1338DX?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • V - Portal of Vonage and Linksys RTP300 screw up the call diversion

I have a situation where a Linksys RTP300 legacy and vestigial is unconnected to all phones, but only to the LAN seems to screw up the call between Vonage numbers forwarding phones attached to a single Vonage V-portal which can be found on the same LAN. Incoming and outgoing calls are not affected. Remove the Linksys RTP300 seems to fix the problem. Can someone tell me why this would happen because the RTP300 is not connected either for all phones? And why the call forwarding is only affected (tent to transfer calls sends just calls to your voicemail, even if the other line is not picked up or not in use). The network is flat where the V-Portal of Vonage Linksys RTP300 and one small switch 8 ports are linked directly to the five ports integrated switch a firewall router, with the WAN port on the firewall router attached to a T1 CSU/DSU. I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly), if no phone is connected to the RTP300, there would be no SIP traffic either. Or would the RTP300 send SIP traffic even with no attached phone?

I have a strange problem with my RAM supported by installers. When I check the activity monitor, 3 installers are open and they start around 80 MB memory RAM used for about 7 or 8 concerts after 10 minutes. I have to force them to quit, but I don't know what I am closing or why they open in the first place. Applications downloaded on iTunes?

In addition, the Console has opened with the same message several times, but I don't know what that means.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The last is a picture of the Terminal window.

Just because it lists 'Console' does not mean that it has nothing to do with this application.

You have not said why or what you're trying to install so I can't help with that.

You can use the activity monitor to leave their.

After you select an item, use the X in a type of stop sign icon and confirm force quit.

  • Pavilion p6150t: upgrade of the screw until the resolution of the monitor.

I just upgraded my p6150t (originally running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit) Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit using the upgrade disc provided by HP at the time of purchase. The upgrade went well, except that HP Update was no longer on the system after the upgrade. In the case the opposite (even without running upgrade HP), Win 7 works well.

However, I have a monitor Dell S2209W capable of running at a resolution of 1920 x 1200. With Vista, I could set my display at this resolution. However, with Windows 7, I can only set the resolution to 1280 x 800. I have the original disk for the Dell monitor, but it won't install the driver on this system with Win 7 (same result during the download of the latest version of the driver from the Dell Web site).

For Vista, the graphics driver on the HP site for this computer has been for NVIDIA GeForce 6210. But for Windows 7, graphics drivers only listed for this computer is of course ATI unified (in addition to the Intel graphics) driver. As the original graphic card is not ATI, an updated NVIDIA driver would solve this problem?

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

    Thank you.

    Correction: it's Nvidia GEForce G210, NO 6210.

In addition, for Win Vista, both the unified ATI graphics card and the drivers for graphic card NVIDIA GeForce G210 are listed, but for Win 7, only the ATI driver is listed.

    Sorry for the confusion.

    Hi there @Les

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are having problems of display resolution after the upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista. I'm happy to help you with this.

In response to your question, Yes, because it is a desktop computer you can try the driver directly from NVidia and test it. You can also try to use the HP Support Assistant and see if she can find the updated or compatible drivers for your system hardware.

  • Gap between the screws with the NI 9237 & Assistants DAQ

I have a set of scales attached to a NI 9237 module in a cDAQ 9174. I have two separate screws following the gross load cell output (mV/V). The two screws acquire through a DAQ Assistant. Two Assistants DAQ are configured in the same way, and yet they have different output values. Reads around 0.003 mV/V being not charged while the other reads 0.03 mV/V - an order of magnitude difference. Any thoughts on why this is? Thank you!

    Thanks David,.

Finally, I followed him there down to a calibration offset null being applied to a DAQ Assistant and not the other. Is there a way to remove this discrepancy in the DAQ Assistant? It is not evident. I only noticed after DAQmx code conversion and managed to remove it it.

It occurs in ISA set up a Serial Port (Instr) .vi and seems to be related to the speed of transmission. If I use anything else than 9600, I get this warning. I need to use 115200. I can open successfully to other com ports at 115200.

I am able to talk to this device using other Terminal programs to 115200 without problem. It is only through LabVIEW and NI MAX.
