. SWF as background. Text links can be placed on top?

Hello all and thanks in advance for any help. I am new to dreamweaver and try to teach me.

I hope I haven't done half of the community cringe .

My question will follow this preface...

I use 2 .swf placed one above another, at the top of the home page and the other down. They serve as the background of the home page and the layout of the site is liquid. The .swfs adjust to stay in the center of the page in order to keep the main focal point centered when resizing the page. The low .swf serves as site navigation. If you visit here you can see what I have described.

Now on the probably totally novice newbie question...

How to place text links in the navigation bar?  I know that there are several methods such as CSS and possibly text/images flown etc.. I'm looking for ideas on what you think would be best for the liquid presentation (I want the text remains in the navigation bar when resizing) and really no way to create links to other pages of the site beyond the home page.

I'm sorry if this question is too newb. I have the Bible of Dreamweaver CS4 Adobe by Joseph Lowery and I can't find my answer. He explains how to add textual links in various ways, but not how to place one or more on a .swf.

Thanks again for any help,

The site of the game you gave as an example

http://us.Blizzard.com/Diablo3/world/

is actually a dynamic Flash site that evokes data from XML files.

A project of this size would need to use Flash and Action Script.

  • How can I create more than one CSS style for the text links?

    Hello

    Just like the title says, I need help to create more than one CSS text link style in Dreamweaver CS4. For example, I want that navigation on the site that I am building to have a style of link different text as a link in a certain part of the body copy. I played with Dreamweaver for awhile and can't find a way to do this. If it is still possible to do so, I'd appreciate any help.

    It is a common requirement in most Web sites.

    I think that it is because your pseudo classes must be in a particular order which is LoVe HAte.

  • Remove says text links

    Hello!

    I have a few text links on my site and I would like to delete "highlights" for aesthetics,

    does anyone know how this can be done (I am aware that there is a piece of code that can be placed in the 'head' of the html, but am at a loss to know where to find?)

    any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    No worries... I found it! If it can help someone else, just paste it in the "head"...

  • Is there a way to click with the right button on a text link to add it to Favorites?

    I can't find an add-on that allows me to do this or the other.

    If I highlight a text link, like the link shared on a youtube video, there is no option to bookmark this link directly.

    Why is it not possible to do?

    I have such an entry "bookmark this link" in the context menu if I select a text link that is comprehensive and includes the http (s) Protocol.

    This choice is not available without the Protocol.

    If you still do not have check your extensions.

  • a few text links appear as a 'barred' rather than normal underscore

    Hello, can you help me?

    I installed the latest version of Firefox, V4 a few weeks without problem. However, these days, I noticed that a lot of text links, when you view a variety of sites, is displayed as a bar, rather than the normal emphasis style.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

    Safe mode disables extensions in Firefox 4, and disables hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

    If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • Text links in different color on the same page

    Is it possible to create text links which are of different colors on the same web page? I use CS4 on Mac. I have CS6, but obviously, I know so little about the design of web sites that I'm terrified of switching. In any case, I just want to know if it's possible. Thank you.

    Julie

    Well Yes, you can do it using css.

    In the css to your page, you can add something like...

    {a.redlinks}

    color: Red;

    }

    {a.Bluelinks}

    color: Blue;

    }

    And in the html code, all the links that you want to be red, the value of their class to redlinks and links you want to display blue, add the class bluelinks.

    They end up that looks like this...

    A text

    A text more

  • Search text link

    ID 6.0.6. OS 10.5.8; iMac G5

    I inherited a very long, 124 pages, which was prepared in Quark and converted to code. There is no consistent use of style sheets. I turn the break of all, but I can't find a way to search for text link.

    What I have to do is to search for any text that is a link and turn it off. If this can be with the Find/Replace dialog box?

    Thank you.

    Here's a Javascript one line going to break about throughout the document:

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().hyphenation = false;

    (Copy it into a new document in ESTK Editor, save it as "SwitchOffHyphenation.jsx" in your user Scripts folder.)

  • Open the browser text link?

    Two questions:

    (1) can I do a text link use the browser window open, if yes how? Here is the attempt failed:

    (2) how to properly encode the function of browser window open, so that when I use an image as the link, the cursor becomes a hand instead of one arrow? Here's what I have:

    "< img src="images/cards/Icons/card1002.jpg "alt ="Motif_2"width ="135"height ="193"border ="0"onclick =" MM_openBrWindow (' BWPages/BW1002.html' ", 'width = 325 height = 546')" / > "

  • Changing colors on text links

    How can I keep the text to change colors on the text linked once I click it?  I've attached a screen showing the change in printing color.

    Hello

    You must change your Style sheet and to set rules so visited and not visited styles are the same color.

    You start the trip by clicking on the section in the editor. Then click on Format > Styles...

    See you soon... Rick
