problem in Firefox v37.0.2 Windows 8.1 MP4

I use Firefox with 4 profiles. One of them does not mp4. What could be the problem?
When I opened http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4 mp4 it says "Video cannot be played because the file is corrupted.".

After I compared the two profiles prefs.js files, I saw that "media - media.windows - foundation.enabled" was false. I opened Subject: config and reset "media.windows - media - foundation.enabled. After restarting Firefox http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4 works perfectly.

  • Firefox does not open Windows - intermittent - 10 pro

Once I click on the icon to launch the Firefox browser I momentarily have the little blue icon of waiting... then nothing.
I can use everything on the computer, including the border, IE, Chrome, and Safari.

If I go to Task Manager it shows Firefox without activity. I can summon a number of instances of Firefox all do the same thing... nothing.

If I finish all instances of Firefox in the Task Manager, then try to run Firefox again once it opens and works normally. I can run a number of instances, and they work as they should.

If I normally close all instances of Firefox, they may or may not work the next time I try to run Firefox (intermittent). If the browser does not, I repeat the closing the Firefox process in the Task Manager and then reopening it... It will work then.

    Hi Fred,.

Thanks for your quick response. I tried your suggestion, but it did not work, but you got me thinking... Thank you.

What I did... I uninstalled Firefox and then deleted all the references in the window registry related to Firefox.
Then, I put the edge as default browser, restarted.
I then downloaded and did a new install of Firefox and set it as my default browser.
    Rebooted just to be sure.

    Yay! It works now.

  • Yosemite MAC, when I open Firefox I get two windows, when I click on a link in mail, it opens a window not a tab.

I place the FireFox icon in the dock. When I click to open FireFox it opens two windows both to the homepage. When you click on a link in the email, it will open a window behind the first window rather that open in a tab. There used to be a preference re: opening links, but given that it was useful, it seems that Apple has removed this option unless it's hidden somewhere I can't find.

What you have is, in my view, two problems.

    You can use one of these as you want;

    topic: Home (Default Firefox homepage),

There is a problem with Firefox 'remembering' my Verizon residential account password. Using Firefox, I am obliged to enter my ID and password every time I closed my browser and then restart or close my e-mail for a while, even though I checked the option "keep me connected" significant given by Verizon. I spent a lot of time today working with the technical support of Verizon and they (and I) can verify that it's specific to Firefox and IE is not the case. So far, this seems to be limited to the connection from Verizon, but there may be other affected accounts protected online. If it helps, I run Firefox under Windows 7 with Norton Security and the active Norton toolbar. It is a real pain and needs to be repaired.

  • Firefox hangs frequently on Windows 8.1

Firefox has been suspended at apparently random times since I got my laptop Windows 8.1, who owns an i7, 8 GB of RAM and Intel HD 4600 Graphics.

Hanging itself lasts anywhere from 10 seconds to a few minutes, and it usually freezes all other programs as well. It can happen at any time, regardless of the memory usage - when I open a new tab, when I type in the search bar, when I click on a bookmark, etc.

This does not work on my Linux Mint partition, nor on my Windows 7 computer. In view of this fact and my laptop specs, I doubt that it's a hardware problem. My best guess is that one of my plugins/extensions is at the origin, which I believe have been met in the troubleshooting information.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Can you try disabling the hardware acceleration?

    1. Click the menu button

      then select Options.

    2. In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
    3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
  • Firefox 64-bit for Windows

Y at - it no hope to get Firefox 64-bit for windows soon?
My problem is Firefox + JDK/netbeans-bundle on 64-bit Windows 8.
Everything else can be 64-bit, but Firefox. If Firefox wants JRE 32 bit for normal navigation, but 64-bit JDK installation replaces it with 64 bit that does not work on Firefox.

Installation of JDK/NB-bundle 32 bit on 64 bit Win8.1 crashes.

So it's a JDK/NB or Java compatible Firefox, but not both?
Or y at - it a simple way to tell Firefox to look at another directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_20) when the other SW is looking in the default directory (C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_20)?)

I know that the problem has three parts: Microsoft, Oracle and Mozilla, but Mozilla seems to be one with no option (64-bit) "in progress."

SuperSluethe, please do not suggest that the web site because it links just a random accumulation of 35.0a1 of the channel of Nightly development without any warning. This channel is a bleeding edge and gets check-ins almost everyday as well so that they get an update of each of these days.

I'm having a lot of problems with firefox and cannot figure out how to get help. It all started when I updated to 13. I get all kinds of advertising popups, I can't play a game on FaceBook called Farm Town at all, and I get a popup of AVG on the cookies that I can't get rid of. These issues are causing me to use Chrome quite often, although I like Fox better. I've searched and searched how to get help and find nothing. How can I get personalized technical help? These problems will not occur in Chrome at all. Thank you.

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
