• Launch of the video in a new window

  I've built several video demonstrations in Cp6.01.240 for a course to be responsible for an LMS (SCORM 1.2 or 2004, my choice). Rather than embed videos in the course, I would like to launch in a new window to allow me to be updated separately from the course. .Cpvc files have been published in the form of .mp4s - what I should convert it into .swfs and include them in the zip file of this way, or can I load as a .mp4s and make them open?

  will answer me - I have built the buttons to open mp4 files, then managed to add the mp4 files to the zipper after the publication of the course and who publish my LMS (Global Meridian). The result was a perfect launch, with a new window which auto-resized to match the video. Did not work a month or two there, so either I learned something about the configuration or the LMS updates picked up this glitch.

  I found how to pass values to JavaScript in a swf file embedded, but now I have a different scenario. I have a container ASP application that will launch a Flex application. The ASP application manages all security and users get the roles. When you click on a link to open the Flex application in a new window, I would like to pass the user name and the roles stored in the ASP JavaScript I think I need to use ExternalInterface.addCallback("IsStatic",IsStatic) on the side of Flex, but I have to do side Javascript in my ASP page?

  Passing values in the url param is the way that I had to make it work. I was able to access it in actionscript in the following way:

  tmpUserId = mx.core.Application.application.parameters.userId

  where the username after the .parameters is the name of the parameter in the query string that I went through the url.

  I think it is completely a function of your browser settings. Check
  browser preferences and see if the tabs are set to be active or load
  in the background.
  However, you specify that links sites bring the new tab in the foreground.
  I don't know why this would be inconsistent... but sure it is
