Switch 10 battery health

I got a Switch 10 for about three months now, and it dawned on me that I don't give much thought to the maintenance of the battery. I use mostly my switch for reading, browsing the Web and a few games that does not require much memory or horesepower. Some days, I drain the battery down to AB. 10%, but other days I plug in the charger when it is only 80% or more.

So what is the best strategy to maintain the battery switch 10 for the long term?

TIA

The user guide has information on the functioning of the battery and how to optimize your battery life. I included a link to this guide below. See the battery section in the user guide.

  • Equium L10-273 kept switching between battery and power

    Hello

I saw a similar post here and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have had this problem sorted? My Equium L10-273 kept switching between battery and power all others second, which made it impossible to type, it's got worse and worse. I thought it was a problem with the power supply, but when I removed the battery from the laptop is ok running of the adapter.

He kept also make a noise of hissing/crackling growing fan region, which stopped when I removed the AC adapter. The adapter was unusually hot, and the fan area became too hot to the touch. This stopped now, I removed the battery, so I want to know is what someone has solved this problem by replacing the battery or it should be returned?

This laptop is less than 2 years old, but apart from his one year warranty.

    Hello

According to the description of your problem, I think there is a problem of electronic power supply. Sorry but there is not a universal solution, and I recommend you contact the service authorized in your country. Explain the situation and see what they say.

  • Lenovo G400s optimize battery health auto turn off display

    Hello

I rarely use my laptop outside the power adapter, so I decide to try the 'optimize battery health '.

To my surprise it drain the battery of 60% and he stopped there without discharge or charge, which is good.

But it has a few side effects, it turned off my screen every minute which is annoying, in my power Option, my screen is set to never turn when I plug in, I even try to define each presets/profiles of never turn off screen when the plug-in or battery, it helps not at all.

This could get really annoying when I read an article when my keyboard and mouse is not in use.

Thank you for your attention, the hope for a solution soon.

    Details of the laptop:
    Lenovo G400s

    Core i5 - 3230 m

    Windows 8

    8 GB RAM

    128 GB SSD

    All the drivers/software updated

Energy management: high power Performance management, optimize the battery, drive energy-saving hard.

p/s: Please let me know if need more information, I will provide as much as possible to fix this.

Okay, my bad, it was my stupid screen saver settings that enable the return to the logon screen after 1 minute.

He was supposed to turn off when I set to (none) but I guess that I was wrong, in any case, this has been solved by "human error."

  • How can I optimize my battery health? I am technologically challenged.

    1. I'm a fool to the computer. 2. my laptop Lenovo "told me" I should use "Battery optimized Mode health" because of the way I use my computer.  How do I do that? Where do you change the battery health optimized mode?

I had the same opinion also. I found the way to do it. If you have not yet changed, you can follow this.

    1. click on the battery icon in the taskbar next to the date and time.
    2. click on "more power Options.
    3. "change plan settings".
    4. change advanced power settings
    5. There are two tabs when you click on this button. It said "Advanced settings" and the other says "Lenovo energy management." click on this last one that says "Lenovo energy management."
    6. click on the button that says "activate Lenovo Energy Management."
    7. you can see "Battery optimized" a second button of radiohead.
    8. you can leave right after.
    I hope this helps.

This is a bug reporting by Windows, nothing to worry about. You can force the calibration of the battery by running until down then full charge. Scroll through a few times and it will end up showing the correct vakues.

  • Lenovo Energy Management optimized battery health decreases the performance of the CPU and GPU

    Hello!

I have a little problem with my IdeaPad Y510P. When I select a maximum autonomy, everything works fine at maximum performance, but when I choose optimized battery, my laptop works about 50% of its performance or lower, which is enough when I'm not playing, but when I do, the decline in performance is really disturbing compared to the option of maximum battery life.

Does anyone has a solution for this? I like to keep performance upward and the Crescent of the battery at the same time. I've updated my driver of the LEM and also software, and I use Win 8.1 64-bit.

    Thanks in advance!

After a few days the problem solved self . Thank you very much for the help!

  • No switching mode battery slice "sleep."

I have a T520 (4240, BIOS 1.28) with batteries primary and 27 ++ "slice" of 55 ++. With the main battery on 80% charge the battery slice 8% load, I closed the lid and machine went to 'sleep '. I had not used for a few days and when I finally opened the cover, I found the power had been lost and the machine had to be started cold, losing my previous session.

While a few days, the battery slice fell to 0%, and then the machine lost power. Never, he opted for the main battery, which was still about 80% of the fees. This is the expected behavior? It doesn't seem fair to me.

  • X201i (3249 CTO): screen becomes a second when switching between battery, power supply

So I had this problem since I put on the coming computer straight out of the box of Lenovo. Everything else works fine, but every time I'm leaving battery current alternative (or vice versa) the screen changes immediately brightness according to my settings and then turns off completely for 0.5 to 1 second before it is again and everything is back to normal. Happens EVERY time, so it is a permanent, 100% recreatable (and recurring) problem.

I googled for a solution, but all I found is on updating drivers and uninstalling the software - which are not applicable on this machine. All the drivers are up to date and I have no installed software problems. Everyone knows what could be wrong or, more importantly, how to fix this?

First I thought it was a problem of having a LED screen (I have experience only LCD screens), but it is not logical for me. I'd appreciate it really answers and suggestions for this annoying problem.

    FYI, I'm on a X201i (3249 CTO) with Win 7 home premium 64-bit.

    Super thank you!

  • Y510P battery problem

Hi all! My laptop Lenovo Y510P 2 day old has a problem with loading. I noticed that the battery was never more than 60% charged. I left that he plugged for more than 24 hours and nothing has changed. So I decided to completely drain the battery and used the laptop until it dies. With the laptop off I left that it plugged in until battery LED wired to white indicating the battery is fully charged.

Unfortunately, the battery still shows 60% charged. What I'm missing here? I know that some smartphones must be calibrated etc but no idea of what to know mobile ha.

    Thanks for your help.

Hey bro, I got the same problem with my y500 when he arrived, but its an easy fix. All you need to do is open the lenovo energy management program. It must have an icon in the taskbar of office. Go it to battery you settings and switch 'Optimized battery health' to 'Maximum autonomy' and that should do the trick!

  • Remove a switch in the stack and put on another battery, it will work

    Hello!
I have two different batteries, in two different place

    Location01
    STack01-> with dial-up dell PC8164-01 and 02-PC8164

    Location02
    STack02-> with dell switched PC8164-03 and 04-PC8164

On all switches, I use the same ports for stacking

    Now, assume that this scenario:
If the switch PC8164-02, which is a member of stack01 located in Location01 is damaged and I remove switch 04-PC8164 of location02 and connect to location01, it will be normally function and configuration of the reception of the other switch in battery PC8164-01, and he will be a Member?

    Kind regards!

Yes, the switch will operate normally. When the switch is connected to the other battery it will see that there is already a main switch, since it has only 2 switches, it will become the cutout of backup, synchronization configuration and become an active member of the stack.

You will need to ensure that all switches are on the same firmware.

  • Battery to reboot a stand-alone switch

    Hello:

    I have a Cisco WS-C2960S-48TD-L with 12.2 (55) SE2.

It is not a standalone switch, battery and with no order it restarts automatically looking for a new election of master. Logging I have nothing, but connected with the console cable, I see after 2 minutes do not show anything what follows:

Waiting in the elections of the Stack Master...

    The switch restarts and:

    Battery nearby Status port

    # 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2 Port switch

    --------------------------------------------------------

    1 against against none none

After searching online, I have no seen anything to disable the functionality of the battery so I set the priority for the "switch 1" to 15 and set switches 2, 3 and 4, no provision, although this toggle Don t exist:

    #switch priority 1 SW_ACCESS (config) 15

The priority of switch selector number 1 to 15

Do you want to continue? [confirm]

New priority has been correctly set

    SW_ACCESS (config) #no pass 2 supply

    SW_ACCESS (config) #no switch 3 available

    SW_ACCESS (config) #no switch 4 planned

The State of the battery is the next right now:

    SW_OSIATIS_SERVERS #sh pass in detail

    Switch/battery Mac address: b8be.bfcd.2b80

    Battery nearby Status port

    # 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2 Port switch

    --------------------------------------------------------

    1 against against none none

With this new Setup, the switch has rebooted again.

Why on a stand-alone switch stack is restarted my system?

Is it a function to turn off the battery?

    Thanks in advance
