Battery to reboot a stand-alone switch

Hello:

I have a Cisco WS-C2960S-48TD-L with 12.2 (55) SE2.

It is not a standalone switch, battery and with no order it restarts automatically looking for a new election of master. Logging I have nothing, but connected with the console cable, I see after 2 minutes do not show anything what follows:

Waiting in the elections of the Stack Master...

...

The switch restarts and:

...

* 00:00:12.289 Mar 1: reading env - LICENSE_BOOT_LEVEL = variable

* 00:00:12.949 Mar 1: % IOS_LICENSE_IMAGE_APPLICATION-6-LICENSE_LEVEL: name of the Module = restart level according to lanbase and License = lanbase = c2960s_lanbase

* 00:02:02.342 Mar 1: % STACKMGR-4-SWITCH_ADDED: 1 switch has been ADDED to the battery

* 00:02:03.674 Mar 1: % LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Vlan1, state change downstairs

* 00:02:04.686 Mar 1: % SPANTREE-5-EXTENDED_SYSID: extended SysId enabled for type vlan

I have no battery-cable connected, because it s not going to be another switch on battery. The previous state of the default configuration of the stack is:

SW_OSIATIS_SERVERS #sh pass in detail

Switch/battery Mac address: b8be.bfcd.2b80

Current H/W

Switch # Mac address priority Version State role

----------------------------------------------------------

* 1 master b8be.bfcd.2b80 1 1 ready

Battery nearby Status port

# 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2 Port switch

--------------------------------------------------------

1 against against none none

After searching online, I have no seen anything to disable the functionality of the battery so I set the priority for the "switch 1" to 15 and set switches 2, 3 and 4, no provision, although this toggle Don t exist:

#switch priority 1 SW_ACCESS (config) 15

The priority of switch selector number 1 to 15

Do you want to continue? [confirm]

New priority has been correctly set

SW_ACCESS (config) #no pass 2 supply

SW_ACCESS (config) #no switch 3 available

SW_ACCESS (config) #no switch 4 planned

The State of the battery is the next right now:

SW_OSIATIS_SERVERS #sh pass in detail

Switch/battery Mac address: b8be.bfcd.2b80

Current H/W

Switch # Mac address priority Version State role

----------------------------------------------------------

* 1 master b8be.bfcd.2b80 15 1 Ready

Battery nearby Status port

# 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2 Port switch

--------------------------------------------------------

1 against against none none

With this new Setup, the switch has rebooted again.

Why on a stand-alone switch stack is restarted my system?

Is it a function to turn off the battery?

Thanks in advance

SW_ACCESS uptime is 35 minutes

System returned to ROM by power-on

Looks like his power.

The bugs that I've provided are also associated with stand-alone switches, I can't share bug internal details.

I've seen this problem before, & I understand that it is a standalone switch.

Most of the time that it would be because ports of defective battery which can not really be detected there software. I also looked at the case attached to the bug & found a few similar cases.

  • How to switch my stand-alone LR6 for the next release version, everything I takes me to the CC, I don't want CC, I want that my version? Its a vicious circle.

If I use the upgrade feature in the help section you need to CC upgrades, where the hell is the stand-alone version?

I do not suggest upgrading to the latest version of LR6 (6.2.1, CC 2015.2.1). Try the links below and see if you can install the LR6.1.1, which is the latest stable version of LR:

I have a stand alone app lightroom, which I used for years. I just bought the Suite photography CC including LR. What do I need to transfer all my my LR previously bought the CC Lightroom catalogs?

There is no difference between a catalog of CC license or perpetual. However, if your existing catalogs are Lr5.x or before Lr CC / 6 will modernize a copy of them. The conversion of the catalog is automatically triggered when you open the latest version of Lr. basically, Lr seeks existing catalogs and offers to upgrade the recently opened one. Others will become if / when you try to open them.

  • How can I control external devices using a stand-alone touchscreen with a LabVIEW app

For my senior project my group design and created a vehicle for extended range hybrid with 90 Li + battery which is charged by a 15 kW generator and/or who is also charged by a 5 kW fuel cell. Currently, our system is able to measure the tension on batteries and display them on a laptop via LabVIEW. To process these data, we use a cRIO FPGA. What we would like to do now, is having a touch screen for the pilot to choose which loads of source of battery power so that monitor a pressure reading from the fuel tank.

What kind of touch screens to LabVIEW to be downloaded on and used for controls?

A cRIO has the necessary capacity to supply such a screen and handle the transfer of the data from the sensor fuel and relay (for turning on and off will deepen)?

Do I need an additional license to create stand-alone applications and how I would go about creating a stand-alone application?

Sorry for the question as much. Any help with the answer. Thank you!

NEITHER sells computers touch screen that can be used to control LabVIEW applications.  You can find more information here: HMIS and industrial touch panels and here: LabVIEW Real-time and Touch Panel Deployment and replication resources. Our computers 6-inch touchscreen , run Windows CE, programming on them is a little different from the programming on a full Windows operating system.  You can find useful getting started with LabVIEW Touch Panel Module .

You can use third-party with the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module devices, although it takes a deployment license for it.  More information can be found in the getting started guide.

If you were able to send the information of cRIO on a network (which according to your description, seems unlikely), you can use a smartphone to control your application.  More information on our community of Smartphone group.

If you use the 6-inch touchscreen panels, they need 18 to 32 VDC (the fuse becomes an open circuit if the input level exceeds 33 VDC).  The transfer of data from the switching relay can be monitored and changed with the touch screen.

If you have traveled the road of the touch panel, you need to purchase the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module and a touchscreen.  Touchscreens OR have a touch panel deployment license.  Guides step by step to create the stand-alone application are in the getting started with LabVIEW Touch Panel Module .

  • I have a (AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9), I can set it up as a stand-alone?

I have a lightweight access point (AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9). I would like to use it as a stand-alone gateway (AIR-AP1131AG-A-K9). Is this possible? There are configuration changes that need to happen to make this happen? Do I need to use different operating system?

    Thank you

Plug the AP directly on your PC not the router.

The best way to proceed is to comfort in the AP and make sure that the

AP can reach the laptop via a switch or a crossover cable

fixing directly from the laptop and the AP.

With your cable from the console, you will be able to see if you pressed on the

    button for 20 seconds.

By using a TFTP server to revert to a previous version

Follow these steps to return standalone by LWAPP mode

Download a version of Cisco IOS using a TFTP server:

Step 1 in the IP address of the computer on which your TFTP server

software should be from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30.

Step 2 make sure that the PC contains the image point (for example file

    as c1200-k9w7 - tar.122 - 15.JA.tar for series 1200 point access) in the

The TFTP server folder and the TFTP server is activated. Monitor of the

TFTP program to see the code for transfer to the AP.

Step 3 Rename the access point image file in the TFTP server folder

    C1200-k9w7 - tar.default for series 1200 point access,

    C1130-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1130 access point, and

    C1240-k9w7 - tar.default for 1240 series access point.

Step 4 connect the PC AP with a category 5 (CAT5)

Ethernet cable. This must be a crossover cable if connected

to the AP. Or ethernet cable is normal if the AP and laptop are connected

    to a switch.

Step 5 disconnect the power to the access point.

Step 6 push the MODE button and hold the button while you reconnect power to the access

    point.

Step 7 press and hold the MODE button until the status light turns red

    (about 20-30 seconds), then release.

Step 8 wait that access point restarts, as attested by all lights

Green followed the status light blinks green.

Step 9 after the access point reboots, reconfigure using the graphical interface or

    the CLI.

If the image is not download from Server/tftp on your computer, you may need to delete the previous image of tar on the access point of the console:

Simply hold the mode button until the light is red.

Then, by using the console port, make sure that the guest is AP: and do a show «»

"Flash:" on the device and make sure that there is no image that begins

"c1130-rcvk9w8-tar..." ». If there is an image that starts with who then

    Delete it with "delete flash:

  • Check if a VI runs as a Subvi or stand-alone

I have a set of measurement screws that I use as a stand-alone screws and buried deep inside the other screw that perform many different measures. Because I turn the screw, sometimes they have to initialization, VISA Open and Close VISA within structures case that I wired to a Boolean (is Standing Alone?)

Is it possible for the VI to determine if she is standing alone or be called without having me switch the Boolean value all the time. It would be nice if I didn't have to worry that every time that I the screws on their own.

I looked in the nodes property "" appellants names"and"Type VI", but they do not seem to be useful. Is there an other way to check if the VI is running on its own or has been called from another VI?

Use the function to the calling chain.  If the number of elements returned in the array is 1, then the VI runs highest.  If it is greater than 1, then it is a Subvi.

  • Is there a stand-alone client to start remote consoles?

    Hello

currently I am struggling to navigate through all of the GUIs to launch HTTP console remotely on servers I want. I see it's java-based app that downloads automatically when I click to start the remote console.

But I was wondering if there was a tool that would allow me to directly launch onoly consoles without the need to go to ISU, HTTP etc. ? This would save a lot by clicking on. I know that IBM has a free stand-alone java client which makes life really much easier to start the remote console and switch between the blades. Is there anything like this available for DELL servers?

Tried running this jnlp but it fails with access denied without even asking for credentials... so I assumed it is only use unique applet?

Thanks for the tips and suggestions

I know this is an old thread, but if someone were to happen on it and see the answer previously suggested they would assume that it's impossible, but from iDRAC7 (gen 12 PowerEdge or later), you can connect to the remote console using VNC.

Document access to remote desktop using VNC on Dell PowerEdge servers from Dell here.

  • Change IOS on AP 1131AG light to stand alone

    Hi experts,

can anyone advice if the ap 1131ag IOS can be changed to stand alone? can you give me a link where I could get a standalone IOS and how? Thank you!

Follow these steps to return mode LWAPP stand-alone mode by loading a version of Cisco IOS using a TFTP server:

Step 1 the IP address of the computer on which the server software runs TFTP should range from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30.

Step 2 make sure the PC contains the file access point (for example, c1200-k9w7 - tar.122 - 15.JA.tar for a 1200 Series access point) in the TFTP server folder and the TFTP server is activated.

Step 3 set the timeout on the TFTP server in 30 seconds.

Step 4 on the PC where, the TFTP server perform the following steps:

    a. disable the firewall, such as Windows, ZoneAlarm firewall firewall software, McAffee firewall or other.

    b. ensure that all Windows are visible. In Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options > view. Deselect hide them extensions of known file types check box.

Step 5, rename the access point image file in the folder of the server TFTP c1200-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1200 access point, c1130-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1130 access point, c1240-k9w7 - tar.default for a 1240 series access point and c1250-k9w7 - tar.default for a 1250 series access point.

Step 6 connect the PC to the access point using an Ethernet category 5 cable (CAT5).

Step 7 disconnect the power to the access point.

Step 8 push the MODE button and hold the button while you reconnect power to the access point.

Step 9 hold the MODE button until the status LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds), then release.

Step 10 wait until restarting access point, as indicated by the LEDs become green followed the status LED flashes green.

Step 11 after the access point reboots, reconfigure using the GUI or the CLI.

  • Can possible save of Cisco DCNM on NFS and FTP on the stand-alone dcnm Server

Can anyone suggest me that how I can back up the database DCNM 7.2 for a stand-alone server on NFS /FTP?

What is the procedure to perform the backup on server NFS /FTP?

Is any dependency to take backup on remote servers from stand-alone server DCNM (not HA)?

    Hello

VIEW includes a database backup utility in the $INSTALLDIR/dcm/directory/bin/view.  There are 2 versions of the script, one for Oracle and one for postgres databases, and they both can be run from the server command line.  These scripts will create a dump (.dmp) database file which you can ftp offshore to another server to files, if you wish.

For reference, here is the documentation on backups of db VIEW:

  • Flexconnect AP stuck in stand-alone Mode

    Hi all

I have all my APs configured under flexconnect at the remote site.

I have one controller at the head office.

There are two redundant links of MPLS from the main office to the remote site.

Now the question is, whenever my MPLS does a failover to the redundant link, all my flexconnect that aps disappear from the controller.

I understand that this is due to the clock pulse is expired and the AP in stand-alone mode .

But the APs flexconnect take a terribly long time to spend in connected mode, once flipping over MPLS (which is usually half a minute max).

Infact he takes so long that I have to manually close/reset switch-ports (POE) on which all the access points on the remote site are connected!

There are some adjustments that I'm missing here? or do I have I'll upgrade my firmware? By the way, my controller is currently on S/W ver: 7.4.121.0.

If you have a test controller, you can test it with a different code of the WLC software. Otherwise reach TAC Cisco and see known issues with this code on it.

  • Migrate from vRO recessed to stand alone?

Hi, I wonder anyone can point me in the direction of a process/migration plan to spend of the embedded vRO included with vRA to a standalone version?

I configured correctly and completed tests with the solution of vRA using the built-in vRO. Most of the plans have been set up with workflows etc but I would switch to a stand-alone instance of vRO because this is the recommended option for production environments.

Any help would be appreciated as always.

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

You can use the right-click / Sync to copy the content of Orchestrator embedded stand alone vCO.

You should check that you have all the plugins you had installed on boarded stand alone, install plug-ins missing. For their recent configuration plug-ins use resource items you can synchronize as well. For older versions, export the web configuration configure / import it in the stand-alone.

  • Bought a stand-alone copy of LR in 10/2013.  Received a message that the development module is disabled.

I upgraded from LR 4 LR5, buying an stand alone version of Lightroom 10/2014 (less than three months ago) for my PC.  According to Adobe's HELP, I downloaded a second copy of the software on a new Mac in preparation for the switching of computers and discontinued using the original version of the PC.  I had to hire a consultant to assist in the transfer of pictures due to the absence of specific instructions from Adobe on a PC to Mac transition, but in early December, the transition has been accomplished and LR (now 5.7) worked for about two weeks.  Shortly after the development module has been disabled by a message that I needed to renew my membership to reactivate the develop Module!  I've never had a membership... I bought the stand-alone version of the software and want to use it rather than the version of the subscription.

Added to all of my problems with the transition, is that we have welcomed guests for the holidays and I couldn't show them one of my recent photos by the development being disabled module.   (My guess is that Adobe is not going to compensate me for this inconvenience!)

AFAIK, it's nothing that I did on myself.  Adobe allows the download of two copies of the LR software I have not exceeded which, I called Adobe Help specifically to ask how to accomplish the transition from Mac PC and and told to download the LR for the Mac software.

So, how to re-enable the module development without paying extra money for a subscription?

But to answer your question directly, you have installed installation creative cloud of Lightroom that requires different licenses. You must uninstall, then download from the stand-alone Web site.

  • 11g Question: Stand alone database vs single node cluster

We are about to create a new 11.2.0.3 database that will eventually become a 11.2.0.3 in cluster database. Our host servers are hardware IBM pSeries AIX 6.1 running. We will use just Oracle Clusterware and not IBM HACMP. We also plan to use ASM for database storage. The plan is ultimately to have a 2 or a 3-node cluster, but currently, we have only an AIX server available to us.

My question concerns our initial approach to the installation.

It is preferable to install the Oracle database as a stand-alone database first and then convert the database to a RAC cluster as soon as we have the material for the second node? Or would it be better to create the cluster with a single node and install and configure grid Clusterware for a single node cluster and then add the second node when the material becomes available?

I apologize if my explanation is not very clear. Any notice will be considered and appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

If you are planning to ACTIVE/PASSIVE here database my option:
    {message: id = 10138477}

If you are planning in the future use a RAC database:
    {message: id = 10142640}

If you plan use CARS in the future, you can install Oracle Clusterware without worry about licenses.
Oracle Clusterware can serve to protect any application (reboot or otherwise on the application failure), free of charge, if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  • At least one of the servers in the cluster is allowed for the Oracle database (SE or EE)
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/license.112/e10594/editions.htm#CJAHFHBJ

If you ARE database Oracle or EA (i.e., not one SE), you can install the product Oracle Clusterware and Oracle RAC (EE to buy the RAC Option) in a node later you can stretch clusterware adding additional nodes, and more database instance.

You do not need to create a RAC database, you can create a single database (i.e. Non-RAC) on OH software Oracle RAC using DBCA.

Although I prefer that you create a database of CAR Policy-Managed database... which makes the dynamics and the automatic (i.e. managed by Clusterware) creation/deletion of instances. You will use a POOL with a knot... later you can add more nodes in that POOL... Oracle Clusterware/PAP automatically create undo/redo/instances on the new nodes added to this POOL.
All this is transparent to your customers of Oracle.

Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a stand-alone server (Oracle Restart) is an option only if you plan used to one node. If you are using more than one node... Start with Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster (Oracle Clusterware).

    Hope this helps,
