Switch to Firefox as Internet explore and use my computer in Normal Mode
I need to change my Internet Firefox browser. I am a total Novice and don't know how to do this.
I must also check and make sure my computer is working in Normal Mode.
Someone can instruct me on how to do these two things.
Thank you
You don't have to change anything. You can have two of them. Download and install firefox here: -.

Can I remove internet explore and use chrome instead?
Can I remove internet explore and use chrome instead? That is, crashes, to stop, resarts and slows my computor. I installed Google Chrome and have had no more problems. It opens and closes when I want it and going to the Web pages as I type in without hesitation. I like windows 7, I only have a problem with Internet Explore. It also caused changes in my modem. I need to uninstall the software and reinstall to get it working again. IO would open that is and get a message that says "no internet access - check your settings, I thought it was a virus at some point. As soon as I started using Chrome, everything worked again. That is also caused problems with my printer and home network. I don't mind that is being stored in a file, I don't want to work and make changes to my computer I'm not an it expert by any means. I restored my pc to an earlier time and new conditions of factory several times in the past year (I bought the HP pc new in December 2010).
It is not really a way to remove Internet Explorer. I have not heard of the type of problems, you had with IE, but if you prefer Chrome and who works for you, all you need to do is to make Chrome the default browser. I use Firefox and make it my default browser. Once you make Chrome default you just leave Internet Explorer installed but it won't get used. Following comes the site help Chrome and tells how to do it by default: http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95417

I thought I had a virus on my Internet explore and the tech in the street guy told me to download firefox and remove internet Explorer. When I did it, firefox will not load but shows up in my task manager everytime I try to open it. My computer is very slow now and firefox does not open...
Sometimes my computer is running slow also. If Firefox will do it, see if you can download internet explorer from there, but as you said that it was slow, it might take some time.

While on Firefox and Outlook emails, when I select characters, instead of print, a dialog box appears asking me to save the file. He has never done this before. I tried to print several emails & he went to 'file save' every time. So, I tried to save the file. When I then pulled upwards the file backup, it wouldn't let me "open" the file to then try to 'print' - he only asked me to "backup" again. I, then, you exit Firefox and open Internet Explorer and went into Outlook to try to print my emails it and it let me print my emails. I, then, updating Firefox (I needed to do) and tried to print my Outlook emails so that in Firefox; but, I always get the same answer "unprinted" / "save the file" that troubled me before the update. Help me, please.
When you enter {Ctrl + P} is your printer selected in the upper part where it says printer - name?
Otherwise, select the printer you want to use.And to the right a bit - and what is footprint drop checked?
If so, remove the check mark. -

I can no longer view attachments in my Yahoo email account, since I upgraded to Firefox 8. The only option is to download all attachments. There used miniatures at the end of the email to view them without having to download. I checked my email in Internet Explorer and it's the proper functioning and the thumbnail display. What can I do to solve this problem in Firefox?
OK, now, they show. I restarted my computer again and they are showing now.

Hello DeseretRat, yes it is possible and should not have problems - you just choose one of the two default browser (which opens the links from external applications).

When I download an update for a program it opens Internet Explorer and not Firefox
Firefox is always kept open on my PC. When I have an update of the program, I accept that but then Internet Explorer opens for me to download the update. It would normally usually Firefox. Why opens Internet Explorer and not open in Firefox as per normal?
Which depends on the program involved. Some programs will use the default browser , that the user has defined in preferences, while others will use the browser that comes with the operating system. IE in the case of Safari on Mac and Windows.
You have Firefox set as default browser in Vista?
Access to programs and default settings in Vista, IIRC. -
Site has worked very well for a long time. Personally, I use Firefox. To test: select a section, that is B J Minis elements c. click on the basket to the top element and you will get a popup that allows only continue shopping, nothing is added to your shopping cart (order). This means that my website is dead using Firefox. The same operation works fine in Internet EXPLORER and Google Chrome.
Please click the button solved it next to the answer that solved your problem of Firefox support, it appears when you are connected, so this thread is marked as resolved to help other users who may have this same problem.

Internet Explorer and Firefox immediately the accident
I have a Windows XP computer that has problems with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox webbrowser.
Neither one will open the office shortcut menu or anywhere else. When you double-click the icon of the hourglass will be pop up for a brief second or two, then stop. If you try to double-click the icon of Firefox the second time, it evokes a crash report. The pc has internet connection, I know this cause, we were able to get updares for Microsoft, Antivirus and a Malwarebytes program. I also ran a virus and malware to see and both came back perfectly fine. It seems to me that it's an admin setting, as if the admin did not give other users rights to use, but it has begun since Monday and last Friday, they were able to use it normally. They are on a field, at first I thought that this might have been a connection problem. I wanted to remove the pc of the field and back, but did not know that the domain password and none made the worker. Apparently they have a crew of tech OK but they never come down and they always use remote access to their problems (if you ask me which is pretty cheap). So, without being able to check if it's an issue of domain, rights user programs or else I couldn't fix this pc last night and since then I'm going crazy to explain why this issue is not solveable yet.
As I told my client last night, "I must get home and meditate on this one, it's a bit confusing... »
But my question: is there a way to bypass the admin to check the settings of other users access rights to the programs? Or is there a fix I could use to temporaily give rights to the user?

You can have multiple browsers? as internet explore and mozilla firefox?
Sometimes I wonder "do you want to be your default browser to internet explore.» I say still no. is there a time where I should use internet explore instead of Mozilla Firefox? am totally confused. I am not computer, so need to know in terms of "laymen" s, please. Thank you
A browser is software that allows you to 'see' the Internet. Yes, you can have several browsers installed and it's actually a good thing because if you think you want one browser over another. It is also good for troubleshooting because if you have questions related to the Internet, you can run the other browser to see if the problem is specific to the browser or a more general problem of Windows.
Personally, I prefer Firefox over Internet Explorer but * you * should be the one to decide what he * you * like. Here are links to various browsers, you can download and install to try:
Firefox
Google Chrome

"I have internet explore and google chrome on pc." What delaults will run my pc correctly? »
Firefox? No, really, the browsers are largely subjective. Many people swear by Chrome, but
many people swear to the Chrome. Even with IE and Firefox, but I have used Firefox for
about nine years.Other considerations are your internet connection stability and speed.
Try to run the speed Test (type this name in your search engine) to check if you have found
good speeds. This after the browser is de-energized as long as you are connected to the internet server
can slow down during peak periods.
For example, my broadband speed will reach 20 + but will drop to less than 5 between
6-8 PM on occasion. It is always a high speed and wasn't about to give up, just an example of
how a connection can vary.
You need to get off near the speeds of dial-up (or should we say slowing down) before having
dropping out of school due to the lack of speed in most cases.
The other possibility is the quality of the line of your home Exchange.
Old copper cable can also cause dropoutsWhat I've read, Facebook has frequent problems, probably for similar reasons, but in this
the case that it would be their own updated servers to the test under heavy traffic load. Also make sure you have Adobe Flash and Shockwave and another browser "plug-ins" to date. -

Adobe - Adobe Shockwave Player
You can learn more about "plug-ins" in the help tab navigators.

Today firefox has made my yahoo mail page, internet explore and mail is running in
worked well on firefox this morning and then when I came back to the blink of mail and a completely
another screen and colors and white squares with letters and numbers, where the buttons were, nothing
worked through advice to yahoo so I did a system restore and the same screen came up to the top... tried the
account on another computer and it showed good... nothing has been newly installed or implemented to date.
Changed to Internet Explorer and e-mail account, the buttons and the theme works, looks like that
always has. I have also turned off everything, did a restart, my e-mail account is returned to the always strange looking.Once you are on the tab "Content" in the preferences of Firefox, you will need to click on the 'Colors' button in the box 'fonts and colors '. There is also a checkbox to allow pages to choose their own colors. I had the same problem of white background in Yahoo mail, but once I checked this box, everything's fine! I hope it works for you!
