switch to screen

Switch screen mode (F) does not work correctly. The first time I hit F it works, but then it goes to the opacity of fill on the second click.

Okay people... I did nothing. Put the computer in mode 'sleep' last night and came to the office this morning and it worked as it is supposed to. I don't know what happened but it absolutely wouldn't work yesterday.

Thanks for your attention anyway

  • Windows 7 takes an abnormally long time to load the switch user screen

After selecting change user in the menu closed, it takes about 30 seconds to actually load the screen of the user on the switch.  Meanwhile, the screen is black and there is no mouse cursor.  I don't remember it takes that long in the past, but I can't be sure.  It doesn't seem fair that it takes so long to load the screen of the user on the switch.

I recently ran CCleaner and defragged my hard drive in order to fix this problem without success.

Any help or input is appreciated.

My system takes 20 seconds for the closing of session and prepare for a new user. A lot depends on what must be stopped as to how long it takes, and all systems will be different, so there is no default time. I also have the black screen and no cursor...

CCleaner and that ilke programs rarely fix anything and are more likely to create new problems rather than fix the existing problems, this is why I say "do not use".

Disk Cleanup is a safer way to get rid of some unnecessary things.

/Sfc scannow will replace the corrupted system files

  • Windows 7 takes FOREVER to load the user/switch user screen

Earlier today, I turned on my Toshiba laptop (Satellite P855-S5200) and got some kind of error message, and then he led me to a screen asking if I wanted to do a system repair or start windows normally. I chose the repair of the system, but then it seemed stuck in this process (it took forever and nothing happened), so I turned off the laptop (I don't know, not big), started in safe mode, and did a system restore to a restore point from a week ago. The 'starting Windows' screen come and don't go, no problem. Everything seemed fine until I got to the selection screen of the user (by default blue with the little Hummingbird or something else). Then he just sat there, on this screen. I could see the Hummingbird and the wavy lines, but there is no button to click on my user. I just let it sit there and after about 5 minutes, the usernames popped up and I was able to continue to use the computer with no problems, no speed no questions whatsoever. Now, he makes me wait each time, always five minutes, pop up user names before. It does when I reboot the machine and when I try to switch users.

    It's a Pentium Core i7

    Any ideas?

I ended up calling Norton myself and they have taken control of my laptop and uninstalled. It starts like a charm, thank you for your help!

  • Windows 7 Home Premium switch user screen appears after that so much time has passed well that slowed after the SmileDesktop with screen saver is installed, but do not know how to stop it.

I used the selective startup to the Office of Smile, which replaces and updates the old Webshots Desktop, which includes the automatic download and auto downloads of images from their site as well as a screen saver.

There nothing good. rest after so many minutes I connect get back a windows screen does not cause me to lose any data or stop all processes. All running processes continue, but it's the nagging drawback of signing as myself to the computer after having been automatically set user to switch mode. It's probably the fault of this program. In addition, before this Webshots desktop update which included also a screen saver Windows update the eve told me don't not to unplug my computer and that she had to deal with several updates of windows, so I went and the computer stop moments later. The next day was when the message for an update has been waiting for the SmileDesktop program, which is a program that mimics Webshots Desktop, as well as replace the Webshots Desktop. After installed SmileDesktop automatically changed my screen saver settings that were on any mode SmileDesktop screen saver mode. I clicked on the option to disable screen saver. That's when I first noticed the screen splash appearing after that so many minutes of inactivity, change that said user and then I started to worry.
Norton has found no problem with my computer, and
    Finally, I gave up.

    Hello

Thanks for asking this question to Microsoft Community.

If I understand correctly, you want to disable the fast user switching option. Could you please answer a few questions before moving?

Since when are you facing the issue? Do you have any security program installed on the computer? How many accounts is configured on the computer? Have you done a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

Here is an article that will help you to turn off the fast user switching option. Alternatively, you can uninstall Office to smile and check if it helps. You can also make the screen saver password that is built into Windows. Follow these steps:

    (a) open screensaver settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type screen saver, and then uncheck the box for password game screen.

  • Windows 8 keep switching between screens

Not "app mail" problem as shown in 'windows under heading' but no problem selected in the list for me to choose. Microsoft issue again.

Windows 8 keep switching between windows. Word and internet or even just internet screen goes by the United Nations, highlighting the window, then 10 seconds later highlights the window again.

Even while typing on this issue, it happens, and words and letters get spleen and loose spacing between words.

Does the same thing when you type in a Word document, even if nothing else is running.

I'm gone in "Configuration", 'change pc settings', 'general', off "allow to switch between recent applications" and turned off "when I drag from the left edge etc." but always keeps switching between windows.

I removed all the 'apps' as well.

It is not do it in "safe mode" cannot run what whether in 'safe mode' obviously, so it is useless.

Nothing in Windows can do, so make sure you follow what you install and remove any element t - it.  If you see happen, feel free to post back and I'll work with you.

  • Satellite 1800: switches black screen

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1800, who is, like me, getting on a bit! It was bought in 2000 but was not excessive.
Recently, the monitor began to play up and go suddenly completely black. I checked the manual to get it back, I press Fn + F5 and it comes back even if sometimes it takes a few pressings.

Anyone know why he started to do this and is there a way to fix it. I'm dead for fear that one day he simply come back not at all.
I am a greeny total when it comes to technology.

Well, it's not easy to say why the laptop doing something like this automatically.
The FN + F5 option is responsible for switching between display devices and you can use it if you want to get a display on the external monitor or TV.

I can only speculate on the problem and first of all, I would say you accidentally used this function or applications that control it are corrupt.

You could try to reinstall the display driver and other utilities from Toshiba.
May I ask what is the duration of the operating system running on the laptop? Maybe a new installation help

  • * Switching user EDITED * accounts when it not an account administrator and user switching welcome screen/fast are off.

I really need help. I am the administrator of the computer, but I'm not connected my admin account, I am connected to a limited account. I need to change the account, but the user function is disabled, and being in a limited account, I can't turn it on. Also, when I was originally in the admin account, I tried to re - turn on the function, but he told me that I couldn't until a program has been uninstalled. Oh, and there is no welcome screen because she wasn't too. Can you help me to activate this function and return to my account or am I trapped forever, never able to access my account admin impossibility?

    * Edited question:

My computer is a professional Windows 2000 XP laptop, and it's me signature automatically on the limited user account. I tried pressing the SHIFT key when you restart the computer, but he did that tell me there was a "stuck key" and I had to stop by pressing and continue. I don't know what was the program that appears when I tried to re - turn on the windows screen, but as soon as I can get to my admin account, I can understand. So far, the advice, they gave me did not. Any other ideas? Thank you

You have left out some important information. What version of XP you, run Home/Pro/Media Center? Are get you connected automatically to your limited user account? If so, then hold down the SHIFT key as Windows starts. Should you get the classic login box and you can enter your own name of user and password. Once in, set the auto paper by doing the opposite of:

Set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

If you want to get the welcome back screen, you will need to give the exact text of the error message and just say "a program". The difficulty depends on what "some program" is. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Strength and switching back screen

    Yes. I solved it.

    Thank you very much.

  • How can I stop my windows 7 switch mode screen 640 x 480, whenever I restart or start.

I hope someone can help me... Thank you.

You are able to change the resolution of the screen after you start or she is stuck at 640 x 480? If it is stuck, it could be a problem with the display driver. If you are able to change, but it starts only with this resolution, it might be that there is a program that loads at startup and changes the resolution 640 x 480. You can try a clean boot to rule out it.

Visit this link on how to do a clean boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If this makes no difference, try to start in safe mode and check if the problem still persists. Here's how you can start safe mode:
    1. reboot your system and continue to touch the key F8 on the keyboard.
    2. in the Advanced Boot Menu, select "Safe Mode" and press ENTER.
    3. check if you are able to change the resolution in safe mode.

If you can't do it in SafeMode as well, this can result if the display card driver works badly. Check Device Manager and see if there is a yellow exclamation point or question mark under display adapters. You can check the Manager of devices as follows:
    1. press "Windows + R key" on the keyboard.
    2. Type "devmgmt.msc" in the run box (without the quotes) and press ENTER.
    3. in the Device Manager window, expand display adapters.
    4. check the graphics card that is listed.
    5. If you see a yellow exclamation point or question mark, this means that it is a problem with the drivers and you need to update your display drivers.
6 Note the name of the graphics card and check the manufacturer's Web site and download and install the latest driver available.
    7. If the problem persists, it may be a defective display card and you need to contact the manufacturer of the system for other support options.

It could also be due to a faulty cable. See this link for more information on this topic:

  • Switching between screens in forms

    Hello

I had 2 questions while trying to check the usefulness of the forms for our company.

It is possible to switch between quite different forms based on selctions made, therefore, for example by completing a form, press on accept and move on to the next shape?

Also is it possible to have images as buttons, for example an image of a thumb in the air that serves as the button accept?

With the help of Adobe Acrobat Professional 8

    Thanks for the help

A button can certainly be set up to open a document. If you need to programmatically specify which document to open, you can open the document by using the JavaScript app.openDoc method: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.159.html

You can use what you want as an icon of the button, thumb up image would be no problem. When you configure a button, set the layout to something else than 'Label only' and select the image you want after clicking on the button "select".
