  • Can we have pop up similar to Oracle Forms LOV LOV

    JDeveloper Version - 11.1.1.4.0

My form is made up of empid, deptid, projectid. I have an InlputwithListofvalues for the project ID.

I want to change the default functionality of the search popup that appears by clicking the search icon. It should work similar to Oracle Forms LOV. IIN pop up I need to have that one field, say the search field. On enter a value in the search field and clicking on the "Search" button, it should try to match the empid, projectid and deptid value. It should return all records whenever these values match.

Yes, it will not work with VC (and when I think about it, once again, it was very bad idea :))

So you can do the following (this time I tested app, so it works - or at least compiles :))):
    1. you don't need any ViewCriteria
    2. Add the new variable to link to your LOV viewobject (for example: "p_search") and change the data type and the label
    3. change the where clause in LOV view the object, something like this:
    EmpID =: p_search
    or projectid =: p_search
    deptId = or: p_search

    4. set Queryble = false on all attributes
5 Add this VO as LOV your fields
    And, that is :)

Because you define queryable = false at run time, you will see only the input field for the connection variable

  • The Oracle of the Flashback files management

    Hello

I have a db_recovery_file_dest_size = 150 GB I need now to reduce nearly than half of deer to the constraints of SAN.

In my 100 GB flash recovery area is currently used - as follows:
    55GO - flashback files
    40GB - Backup sets
    5 GB - archive logs

My flashback retention policy is 2 days.
However, there are a of files flashback dating back almost 2 months!

So the logical place to save space here is to reduce the number of files flashback being kept beyond the 2-day period I need.

Now, I understand that I can not just delete the files that they are managed in oracle.

    My question is this.

If I try to reduce the 80 GB say db_recovery_file_dest_size how oracle handles this. that is my new limit will be < as the space currently used. Oracle will simply remove the unnecessary files of flashback? And oracle will begin to reduce the number of successful cases?

    Thank you
    Niall

[url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10897/backrest.htm#CHDEFIHF] Even after that in the fast recovery area files are obsolete, are generally not deleted until space is needed for new files. Restore point issue is mentioned in the question the MOS workspace in Flash Recovery Area (FRA) [829755.1 ID], but the answer to your question seems to be curiously absent in the docs, not that I looked harder.

I've never narrowed down an MRE, so I'm also curious what will happen. I suspect that you may want to manually remove backups with the partner of overlap and remove obsolete (or backup also to do the same thing), so you don't get in a pressure situation extreme space that kills archiving, then shrink the FRA and perform a backup operation to trigger clean-up operations.

  • replace some symbols and converts the value to a number

Hi all. I've got bp_link table with 'avalue' column VARCHAR2 (200). If I can find a different version of p here:

    (a) 100%
    (b) 100
    (c) 100.00
    (d) 100.00
    (e) null
    (f) symbol of space
(I hope that all versions are mentioned).

So I try to replace some symbols and convert the value to a number using the following steps:

NVL(Avalue,0) - removes the null value
    Replace (NVL(Avalue,0), '%', ")-removes the symbol '% '.
    Replace (Replace (NVL(Avalue,0), '%', "), ',','. ')-remove a symbol «,»
Trim (Replace (Replace (NVL(Avalue,0),'%',''),',','.')) - removes the symbol space)))
    TO_CHAR (Trim (Replace (Replace (NVL(Avalue,0), '%', "), ', '.'")), "FM999999999999.90")-converts format "100.00".

But it still does not, maybe I don't see anything else.

When I just "select * from...". "it works:

    Select to_char (trim (replace (replace (nvl(avalue,0), '%', "), ', '.'")), "FM999999999999.90")
as avalue of JJ bp_link where roletypeid = 9

But when I try "order by avalue" ends with error - ORA-01722: invalid number

    Select to_char (trim (replace (replace (nvl(avalue,0), '%', "), ', '.'")), "FM999999999999.90")
as avalue of JJ bp_link where roletypeid = 9
    order of dd.avalue

    What can I do else?

    Maybe this will help you

  • Profile values the Oracle Application in Discoverer

    Hi all
I need to use the oracle apps profile options in the input of the discoverer report parameter. The input parameter will be the chart_of_accounts_id of the gl_sets_of_books table based on the set_of_books_id which is the respective responsibility where the report is run.
Is it possible to read profile values in Discoverer?
Can we have devpendent value sets in discoverer 4i?

    Hello

Is it possible to read profile values in Discoverer?

You can map the fnd_profile.value_specific function in the EUL so that you can retrieve profiles in the calculations of discoverer. To use the valueset associated with an LOV parameter you must create a folder and point LOV class in the EULS that extracts the the valueset. Map the EUL element related to the parameter in the item class.

Can we have devpendent value sets in discoverer 4i?

If you mean dependent LOVs of settings then it is not available in disco 4i. It was introduced in Disco 10 g.

  • How will I know if Java is installed/enabled in the Firefox browser on my Linux system? I went to the Oracle/Java test page and it does not have Java installed.

I see that Javascript is enabled. Is javascript and java, the same thing?

    To avoid confusion:

Note that you need the Web-IcedTea Plugin installed and it is a different implementation of Java as the Oracle's Java plugin (formerly Sun), while the Oracle does not detect this plugin.

I had all this work, however "iTunes and App Store" are absent from the iPad settings.

I know it's supposed to be shown just below "iCloud", but it is not at all.

I have the App Store icon, and I am able to sign the entry/exit of the app, but I'm unable to set the automatic download option that is usually seen go in the settings.

Check your Restrictions to see if it has been disabled, settings > general > Restrictions > iTunes Store.

  • SSRS for lack of outer join with the Oracle data source

It seems to be a problem with the Oracle driver used in the Reporting SERVICES query designer.

When you use an Oracle data source, if I create an outer join in the graphic designer, it automatically inserts '{OJ' before the join and '} ' after her.  This is an incorrect syntax for Oracle and refuses to start.  The curly braces and the JO editable in designer text, but if I go back to the graphic designer and immediately to reintegrate them.

Only, this has started to happen a year or two ago - before that it worked, but with the old (+) syntax.

Can it not be healed?  It makes things very difficult.

The important word is expected here. It is suggested that 11.2, that the separation of roles, a non-oracle account must be used for the GI. But this is not essential, and certainly not wrong to use Oracle db and IM account as long as you do not use ASM according to security features. So nothing to worry about. You're good.
