  My helmet is for some time, as the eye of the terminator, glowing and speakers have not worked since. I need to plug headphones or external speakers. Whenever I try to adjust the volume when it shows just a cross symbol under the sign of the volume, where small squares usually are (see below)

  

  Is there a way to fix this? Some other similar forums tell me to try to manually move a switch in the audio jack, but I can't seem to find such a change and the thing that seems most like a light switch, does not move.

  Your audio output is stuck in optical mode, this is the red light.

  The solution is to try to insert and remove the plug a dozen times or more in the hopes of convincing making fall out of optical mode and in electric mode.

For example, I wrote a facebook message and wanted to go to midway up the message to correct anything, but clicking on the keyboard at the right place would not the cursor move, only using the up button worked, which is not practical. The same thing with tripadvisor - I tried to click further up in my review to correct something, but I couldn't place the cursor where I wanted, only the up button worked. Please, someone knows why this is happening and is it a fault with the computer?

  Try the following.

  Download the Setup program of the Synaptics driver from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp74001-74500/sp74369.exe

  When finished, open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  Since the new layout, select programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics ClickPad Driver" and select uninstall.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right-click on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  Hold down the key (key in OSX) and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M
  The bar of menus must now appear permanently, unless you turn it off again (view > toolbars). Turn on/off the menu bar is a new feature in version 3.6.
