Have you tried a forced reboot? Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose anything.

I've never seen the cloud on my watch symbolizing the wifi connection. How to operate when phone and shows are on the same network?

    Hi, Kristian

If your Apple Watch is not connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth, but it is within range of a WiFi (2.4 GHz) network your iPhone plugged in the front (while it was connected to your watch via Bluetooth), then your watch can connect to this network and still offer some features:

To check the status of the connection of your watch, go to the eye of parameters:

    • When displaying the time on your watch, slide up on the screen, then swipe left / right for the look of parameters.
    • This will specify connected or disconnected:
      • If it says connected and the icon in the upper right corner is a green phone, your watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
      • If it says connected, the icon is a green cloud, then your watch is disconnected from your iPhone via Bluetooth, but rather connected (as a backup) to a known Wi - Fi network.
      • If it is disconnected, your watch is disconnected from your iPhone and also is not connected to a Wi - Fi network. The icon in the upper right corner will be a red telephone with a line through it.
    • Slide down again to return to the watch face.

To test whether your watch is currently able to connect to a Wi - Fi compatible network known as a relief:

    • When within range of the network, turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone.
    • After pausing for a short time, check the status of the connection of your watch as described above.

  • WT176EA: WiFi is disabled by hardware switch

    Hello
My WiFi does not, when I discovered the WiFi settings (where I turn it on), he said that the WiFi is disabled by the switch hardware. I'm on Ubuntu 14.04, a linux distribution, and I don't know what happened. I use a HP 620 Notebook Laptop. Can someone help me figure out this problem or help me find the hardware switch?

    Resolved:
    (1) remove the battery and leave nothing connected.
    2) press the power button for 15-20 seconds (40 favorite seconds)
    (3) restart the laptop.
    * This will restore your hardware parameters.

I have a laptop and he says: my WiFi is disabled and must be enabled.  I have no idea how to proceed.  Not very computer savy.

Consult the manual where there is a diagram of the buttons and ports on the computer and there should be a switch that you toggle or a function key, you need to press to activate / disable the WiFi features.  It will depend on the model, in order to check the manual.

  • Symbol of Smartphone Wifi blackBerry on the notification with wifi bar disabled

    Hello

Since a few days, I have a wifi symbol on my notification with 1 (number) bar on the left of the symbol.

I have the wifi turned off, but the symbol does not disappear.

Select the notification bar, I have only the calendar entries, appears nothing else that might be related to wifi.

Any suggestion on what to check?

  • Satellite L300D will not recognize USB drive, except if the WIFI is disabled

I have a venerable L300D Satellite under Vista SP2. I also have a Fujitsu 40 GB SATA HDD of my old laptop in a USB2.0 caddy, with double USB plugs to require more current.

I can sign in successfully caddy USB to my laptop Windows 7 via a simple USB port on a USB 2.0 so I know it works.

On the Satellite L300D, it implements the Generic USB drive in Device Manager, but does not record the 2 disk partitions in the storage of files in Windows Explorer. In fact when you try and expand the COMPUTER in the Explorer it times out.

I noticed that the WLAN (Realtek TL8187B) is on the same USB 2.0 controller, so I disabled it. It turned off my wireless, but immediately the Windows Explorer was shot in life and I could access partitions (D:, and G :) may even run the check disk (no failures) and Defrag. As soon as I turn ON the WLAN driver disc fails to register.

I've updated the Realtek drivers on the Toshiba web site but I want a solution that allows me to use the disc AND the WIFI network at the same time.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello Colin

Have you started using your laptop with the original version of Vista that you got with your laptop?

I use Toshiba laptops for a long time now but I've never noticed this issue although I use external hard drives and USB keys quite often.
Since when did you notice this kind of behavior? To be honest, I can't imagine that this problem persists since the day where we as original recovery image is tested and something like that should not happen. Maybe some updates may be responsible for this.

Trying to remove driver WLAN, reinstall the chipset driver and reinstall WLAN driver. After doing this test he has once again please and send feedback.

  • my wifi is disabled and I cannot turn it back on

    Hello

I have an Acer Aspire TimelineU Ultra Book.  I downloaded Windows 8 in January.  I've not had problems with it before, but when I went to look for on the internet today, it showed that I was not connected to a wifi network.  When I went to connect to my wifi at home it read that my wifi had been extinguished.  I went into the settings and click on the section 'Wireless' and read 'Airplane Mode' has been turned off and when I went to turn on my wifi it won't let me.  It of kind of highlighted in gray and will not respond when I click it.  What is going on?  I want to just my wifi back.

    Thank you

    Cassie

There seems to be a known bug in the BIOS for Acer Aspire where the Fn + F3 key will turn on and outside airplane mode, but the WiFi is grayed out (disabled). See the video below for a description of the problem and solution.

I don't know how you will get the update of the BIOS of the computer, without having to download, but you should be able to transfer via USB stick or SD card if you have another computer available with internet connection.

Time Capsule cannot control the wifi on your Mac.

For clarity, you have your desktop Mac Pro, right?

I ask because many users mistakenly post in this forum (Mac Pro desktop computer) when they really have a MacBook Pro.  With laptops Mac, the Mac will still make hourly backups not connected to the TM volume and when it is then connected to the volume TM backups will be written on this volume and deleted the Mac.

Have you checked if the WLan switch on the side of the laptop is on? This switch activates and deactivates the WLan led. If this is not enough, I guess that there is a hardware problem. Perhaps some loose contacts, for example.
This can be corrected with any software update, I think that the technician should take a look in the notebook and should check this

    _*@chris4o*_
First of all it s very strange that your laptop has not delivered with any Windows operating system! Each new Toshiba notebook was shipped with the Windows operating system and the image of Toshiba should be already preinstalled.
In addition, you should find the Toshiba Recovery CD in the package. This CD contains all the drivers Toshiba, tools, Windows OS and additional software!

    With regard to the pixel dead;
Usually the internal laptop display can be replaced if a large amount of dead pixels would be displayed on the screen. There is an exactly information about replacing the screen.

    Please check this:

In any case, I recommend you really clarify this two issues from your laptop dealer! The laptop must have the OS!

  • WiFi is disabled

Hello, today I installed a new copy of windows 7, and at the beginning everything was fine. I installed everythink I need, and then I see that the fn buttons does not work. I were utility to install the three vaio but the fn buttons still does not. So I decided to install the XP version of the utility (as for the card reader - it works fine with XP drivers), but after this installation wireless card stop working and windows detects this problem: "the wireless capability is turned off. So I try to turn it on, but no success. Then I reinstall Windows 7 again and the problem was still there! After that for a 3th time (!) I have reinstall win7, but this time I remove the first 100 MB and the partition and create it again. The result was the same. Help, please!

    USER-906009,

What is the model number of your VAIO PC? You can activate the wireless using Windows Mobility utility in Windows 7.

    1) click Start
    (2) type Windows Mobility Center
    (3) click on turn wireless on

  • Disabled WiFi E330 Windows 10

Wifi has always been a dubious but today she became disabled and I can't turn it back on. Little as he thinks, that there is a hardware switch.

Wifi has a Red Cross as it is off. Clicking on it allows me to turn on airplane mode but wi - fi is disabled. F9 to market and if you go into the settings of Windows 10 to try this slider control immediately shuts off again.

Worse, if I check the bios/uefi parameter Radio Wireless Lan is disabled and it is grayed out so I can't turn it back on.

Tried the bios update and reinstall the Lenovo power management, keyboard shortcuts, dependence of parameters. All to nothing does not.

    Looks fine in Device Manager:

    1 x 1 11 b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half-Mini Card adapter

and I can turn it, but it is always disabled.

Wifi has always been uneven and tends to pick up and then reconnect, so I wonder if it is a hardware problem that would set a new card.

    Any suggestions?

Update: I tried Ubuntu - Wifi is disabled by hardware switch. Do not wonder if it is disabled in the Bios

Finally fixed it. Looks like there's a Lenovo wireless switch. F9 turns without wireless/bluetooth power, but there is also an individual control that is only available in earlier versions of the hotkey software.
Had to install the 3.80 version:
    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS014985
Then F9 gave me the possibility of individual control to activate wireless light up again.
Still no idea how he got off in the first place.
