Symbols of keyword

Please can someone explain what are the symbols used in the list of keywords? As the dashboard, check... All other symbols are used?

An empty box - NONE of SELECTED images have this keyword.

Dash in the box-SOME of the SELECTED images have this keyword.

A check mark in the box-ALL of the SELECTED images have this keyword.

Mouse click in an empty box - add this keyword to selected images.

Mouse click in a checked box removes this keyword from selected images.

Click the arrow next to the number of images with a keyword, will pan the grid to show only the images-

  • Boxed keyword symbol in Index

    I forgot and of course I can't find it in the file 'no help', but in the component of the Index, keywords are marked with a key symbol. Some of the key symbols have a square around them box. I know it is something simple, but I don't remember what it is (so many things about this program is not intuitive, maybe I'm too good for this application of left brain brain?)

    Hello

    Sorry Colum. No see Alsos.

    What they are are * SUBJECT * keyword level. For example, let's say you have an index with anything else than the symbols of the keys. Then click file > project settings and configure the project to Index keywords are added to topics. In this case, the key words are stored inside the subjects themselves and not the. File Perfect. And the icon will change to include a the Page icon that surrounds the key.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Hierarchy of keywords problem

    I just started using hierarchies of keywords.  After creating my first one from the 'location', I find that trying to create a new (like 'animals') the place in the hierarchy of the keyword "rental."  So how to create a new hierarchy that stands alone?  To create the first hierarchy, I used the symbol '+' at the top of the list of key words.  When I use the '+' again once, to create a new keyword, it automatically places under the hierarchy of 'Location' (even if I don't count whether a hierarchy).

    Right click on the key word "rental".

    Then uncheck "Put new keywords inside of this keyword"

    Default keyword location is noted by a sign more/asterisk following the keyword name. (sign for regular keywords/asterisk for keywords people)

  • TextBox is displayed when the cursor is positioned on keyword

    Hey guys,.

    I create an interactive history of computing program flash and I want to be able to show more information about a certain subject/person when the user positions the cursor on a certain keyword such as a name. Is this possible? If so, then how could I go about this?

    Any help/advice would be MUCH appreciated.

    I tried to search the forums without success.

    Thank you!

    There are different ways to do this, either by code or not.

    Of the to do without code, you could create the text in a button symbol and place the information that you want to appear in the frame Over just then.  This way when you hover over the button what is under more appears.

    To do with the code, you must use the overthrow of coding in which when you rollover the text (such as a movieclip symbol) the additional info movieclip is made visible and when you deployment it is made invisible.  Coded approach depends on which version of Actionscript you are using.

  • Communicate with the symbols of the main timeline

    Hi, I created a movieclip and exported to Actionscript. I have a few cases of the new symbol (class) on the main time line and I have a few

    The timeline class code. Im trying to communicate with an instance of movieclip that is in the main timeline, but for some reason im getting

    a mistake. the name of the movieclip instance is mcGalleryWin. im sure that the keyword root has worked for me before in a similar situation

    but for some reason, this is not not workin now...

    I tried to trace (root) of the class and I don't get the main timeline.

    Code:

    imageLdr.load (imageReq);
    imageLdr.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, firstImageLoaded);
    function firstImageLoaded(event:Event) {}
    root.mcGalleryWin.addChild (imageLdr);
    }

    error:

    1119: access of property may be undefined mcGalleryWin through a reference with static type flash.display:DisplayObject.

    Try:

    MovieClip (root).mcGalleryWin.addChild (imageLdr);

  • Error 5000: The class 'Particle' must subclass 'flash.display.MovieClip' because it is linked to a symbol in the library of this type.

    Running Flash CS3, I looked at the tutorial from lynda.com on strengthening the systems of particles in ActionScript 3.0 to create a few sparks shooting in an animation.  I'm stuck to what I think is a point really basic, but I can't seem to cross it.  Basically, all I'm doing at this point is to create a class called particle (that I'll learn to do things that the particles to make a little later) bind it to a MovieClip on the stage in my .fla file and use the function to update the particle to move it around the stage in a way defined in the instance (so I can later give properties of different movement to) each as an instance generated the MC).  I know there are easier ways to accomplish my basic task without loading an external module, but this seems to makes it so I have to hurt something very simple, that I can't see so I thought I'd post the code here and see what I'm missing.

    I start with a file called Particle.as in the same folder as my file Test.fla Spark.

    In Particle.as, I have the following code:

    package
    {
    import flash.display. *;

    Particles/public class extends MovieClip
    {
    public xVelocity:Number;
    public yVelocity:Number;

    public void Particle()
    {
    xVelocity = 0;
    yVelocity = 0;
    }

    public void update (): void
    {
    This.x += xVelocity;
    This.y += yVelocity.

    }
    }
    }

    So, I declare that all the particles are built with no movement, but if they are explicitly granted an x or y velocity, they will pass by there a lot when updating the instance function is called in the timeline panel.

    Then in my file Test.fla spark, I have a small shape in a MovieClip called Spark.  In the properties of binding of spark, I chose to export for ActionScript and export in first frame.  The class is called Spark and the Base class is the particle.  For testing purposes, I dropped an instance on the stage and called spark.  Then in the layer actions in the first image (the timeline is just the spark layer and the layer actions, a long frame each with no "stop();" so it should run forever), I have included the following code:

    spark.xVelocity = 5;
    spark.yVelocity = - 1;

    function updateSpark(event:Event):void
    {
    Spark.Update ();
    }

    addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, updateSpark);

    Is what it seems that this should be on every Flash ENTER_FRAME should call updateSpark, which is a function that handles the event update() for the instance of the spark which is a movieclip instance that has an update event that moves x and y of the position of their relative velocity variables.  It seems simple enough to me, but when I ctrl-enter to test the movie, I get the following compiler 3 errors:

    Particle.As line 1: 5000: the class 'Particle' must subclass 'flash.display.MovieClip' because it is linked to a symbol in the library of this type.

    Particle.As line 7:1071: syntax error: expected a keyword (for example function definition) after the public attribute, not xVelocity.

    Particle.As line 7:1084: Syntax error: expecting rightbrace before the semicolon.

    Since I imported flash.display. * and declares the class public particle so it extends MovieClip I have no idea why I get this error of 5000.  I see this issue come up a lot when searching Google and forums, but none of the resolutions that I could find have suggested an approach that applies to me or solve the problem.

    Any help to fix this would be appreciated.  I enclose a zip of the FLA a files as described above in case there is something in the settings of publication that I messed up inadvertently.  In addition, if you can get this to compile without error, then the problem may be due to my Flash CS3 Pro install which will result in the problem isn't with my code and start looking at me in a different direction.

    Thank you

    Scott

    Yes, 'var '.

  • FLASH symbol leaping irregular polygons

    I'm working on a card Flash CS3 that contains a large number of irregular polygons. Each polygon is a 'button '.

    The original graphics were imported from Photoshop. Each layer contained a polygon defines a country. Each polygon has been saved as a graphic symbol, graphic symbol has been included in a clip. Each country in an individual MC. The State is defined in a simple function in the actions of the main stage. That everything works fine.

    I think I hit a wall where the bounding box defining each symbol overlaps. According to the order of the layers in the original SWF file, sometimes hovering over a polygon selects another.

    I can solve some of the problems in re-ordering the layers, but it will not solve all the by all means, and it's just a band-aid anyway. I need a more robust solution.

    Is there a setting in the Flash CS that specifies Flash is to use the shape of a polygon, rather than a rectangle less - fit? I understand that I could use Flash buttons and manually draw a box for each country, but it will be a lengthy and error-prone process. It too will give results that are "close".

    Flash has the polygon - the edges of this polygon cannot be used an affected area?

    If it is not obvious, I'm new to CS. One of my challenges is to determine which Flash calls this bounding box less - fit - important to have a good keyword for any search engine.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    TIA-

    When you say "imported Photoshop" do you mean you saved out them in the form of images and then imported? Or you imported a .psd directly in Flash?

    It looks like you use images, in which case Flash recognizes the bounding box as struck the entire region (because images can be rectangular). Transparent PNG should not have this problem in Flash, but there might be a bug. Regardless, if you import a layered PSD directly into Flash, you can tell it to import shape layers in the psd into editable paths.

    Another solution is to try to create the areas affected in Flash with what you currently have and use the Edit/Bitmap/Trace Bitmap command. Set the threshold for the color and the Minimum box both to "1" to settle the curve fit to "Pixels" and the threshold of corner "A lot of corners" that will reproduce your image into vectors extremely precisely. If you use individually coloured polygons, so this shouldn't be a problem at all. Once you have the essential polygonal shape as a vector, you can do all this 1 color and then do an invisible area.

  • K / keyword is not get bound...

    I use Robo help 8.0.My type of project is to generate a CHM by using a word document. I mean it's a DOC to CHM project.

    The Tab(usally,in the left hand side of any chm) Index should contain keywords.
    I used to call the keyword as follows:

    1. Select a topic in the word
    2 Goto Inseet-reference-> reference >-> click the button symbol, and then select the symbol 'K '.
    3.now foot no reference appears in the word (at the bottom of the page) document. Regardless of the name that I go here is my keyword in the generated chm file.

    But to my surprise, only a few of the keywords appear and many keywords do not appear in the tab Index of the chm file...

    Now, I started shooting hard... I checked the fonts, spaces etc. etc... etc...
    None of them work... its very very obscure...

    I can not even find why some are not working as expected...

    Could you get it someone please let me know a solution for this problem of wave? Its very urgent...

    Thank you Pierre and Colum...
    My problem is solved using the following very simple method:

    Add keywords from the index by selecting the topic text
    Double-click a topic to open it in Design view.

    Select the text to use as a keyword.

    Right-click the text, and then select Add To > Keyword Index > [index].

    But create the keyword manually (by insertion of symbols) has a bug it seems... Only a few are properly created and others not...

    Thank you again...

  • Siri symbol not visible

    I have two questions. Having just upgraded to Sierra, the Siri symbol is visible in my Dock but not in the menu on the right. Is there a solution?

    Also, I have a symbol in the same menu to the top right which refers to a Canon Printer Utility is no longer installed. When I try to remove it by using cmd + click, it will not 'pop' and disappear. How to get rid of it?

    In regards to Siri, go to 'System Preferences' then click on 'Siri' before seeing if "Siri see the menu bar" is checked. This must be checked if you want the symbol of Siri to appear in the menu bar.

    Files with the clouds and arrows will appear on all devices and files without any symbol also appears at all.

    So, what's the problem with cloud files?

    Hello

    Gray, dotted icons show items that have not yet been downloaded.

    The icons of cloud and arrow show the elements which are big and you can download it by clicking on the icon.
