  A few weeks ago, I posted an error from my 9700.  When it's new, I had no problem sending my old 9000 info to it.  I have even to synchronize several times.  then something happened, don't know what it was, but now every time I have edit a contact on the 9700, or add a new one for it and then try to sync, I get a message from incorrect data.  someone suggested to delete the address book of the unit or recharge it from a backup, that works well as long as u don't change or add something new.  so now I have to remember what changes I did my 9700 and manually their shot of punch in my future, instead of being able to sync.   any ideas... anyone?  Thank you!

  Try this, I did some of my friends and it worked.

  Start the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

  GoTo synchronization, sync and then select address book.

  Then click on advanced.

  Goto field mapping.

  Disable the photo of the field mapping.

  Once your done, you should be able to sync your contacts.

• How can I get the address book to always open with personal addresses. It opens with "all address books.

  When addressing and e-mail, addresses always open with "all the address book. This book contains many addresses which are not intended for daily use for most of the mail I write or pass. I want to always open with "Personal address book" to shorten the research process. I have not had any problems with this before the last update.

  3. in the search box to the foreground, type, or copy and paste

  then click OK or press ENTER.

  4 search result (s) will be the backup copy of your address book Windows automatically manages.

  5. to open such a file, right-click on it | Open with | Select address book...

  Now missing contacts are still included in the backup?

  I want my blackberry contacts to sync with outlook.

  My email is with more than yahoo and my account is configured for messages forward both my blackberry and my outlook on my PC at home.

  When I sync my bb my bb and yahoo address book syncs, but outlook does not work.

  I have the new storm and outlook 07.  Any ideas?

  Thank you.  I had been in the Office Manager several times try to configure how to synchronize my contacts.  I didn't know you could actaully highlight the address Word Book 1) checkboxes because, then 2) when you run the mouse over your cursor - it is not previously put in highlight letting you know that you can select.  So, long story short once I understood actually clicking on the word would choose what I wanted to change, which would activate the button below.

  Hi guys, I'm very new to blackberry and need your help.  Recently my company gave me a BB Curve 8310, all set up by them.  We have a BES.  My calendar and email works great.  No problems.  It's also good (round trip) sync with my outlook contacts.

  My problem is with the company address book.  I was expecting when I compose an email it will go automatically pick the employees of the company when I start typing their name, as it happens on my outlook 2007.  But it's not.  All the time I have to type the full email address as [email protected].  However, it's looking for my personal contact to my contact list outlook 2007 personal.

  If you are on a BES you have to do what is called a search. So if you're writing an email you can start typing in the name of a person. This should display a drop down menu where you can choose between 'Email ' or 'Search' If you choose search it will search for the name on the Global address book, and then you can select it. You should also have the option after he found the name to add the name of your contacts if you do not have to search for this person yet

  I have a BB 8330 (VZW).  Try to synchronize the address book with Notes by using Destop Manager 4.5.  It shows that wireless synchronization is enabled for the address book.  How do I turn it off?

  Understand that when I go to the address, Options, there is no wireless sync setting.

  I get ' sort by ', 'Confirm deletion', ' allow duplicate names: and 'Number of entries'.»  That's all.

  You're missing my point.  Only options wasn't there.

  I ended up wiping the device.  Re-Sync and it worked as it should in the first instance. The option for the default AddressBook has been after the wipe.

  I upgraded my version of software from 8320's to v4.5.0.81 recently. When I open my address book, there is a wide space between the contact list. This is eqivalent to double-spaced typing in Microsoft Word. I am able to see only 6 names to atime on the screen. Any suggestions to fix this? Thank you.

  There is unfortunately no way to disable the new look of the address book. This is the way that all the books addresses with OS 4.5 and higher. You would have to downgrade the OS less than 4.5 to go back to the old look.

  Your address book is a collection of address books, such as the collected addresses and to personal address book. Yes, we must create a new address book for each external address book with that synchronize you.

  I run two address books google, each with its own counterpart in Thunderbird. One e-mail, another for use in my phone that is used for addresses phone numbers rather than by e-mail. I don't want my email list on my phone.

  Looks like the address book on the 9720 is in wireless sync with service, might be a BES, Gmail, etc..

  Accounts have been added to the device that support this?  You can try to remove these and then you try to restore.

  As another test, you can try the following:

  1. make a backup of the 9720 - to save the State that you are now

  2 wipe the unit

  3. try to restore it from backup or BlackBerry Protect file

  4. If able successfully to restore your address book and then go to add back accounts

  NOTE: If you are on a BES, you may need to contact the administrator or Help Desk to have a defined activation password.

  Unfortunately, at this time the display or global for your BlackBerry OTA, any address list synchronization is not possible.  Research is the best alternative.

  However, if you do not have all the contacts on the BlackBerry, you can use BlackBerry link.

  First copy all the contacts in your global address list in a contacts folder in a pst file in MS Outlook.  You can then configure link to synchronize with this contact list and have them copied to your device.

  Hi from a new Subscriber and thanks for any help!  A month ago my Curve 8310, v. 4.5.0.55 (Platform 2.7.0.68) provider O2, stopped and be able to search and find Contacts unless I had added after this date.  These recent Contacts have not been folded in the original address book, but are all in a new and alphabetized list at the end of the original Contacts list.  There is only some categories not assigned, no synchronization of network, and the content is not protected.  The Contacts are in the phone, not on the SIM card.

  Before that, I could type in the address book or phone the first 2-3 letters of the name of a person and need me to contact - now he says that he has none of these people.  So I have to scroll the full address book to get to whomever I want, and then I can call/SMS etc.

  Any ideas would be very appreciated!  Thank you.

  First, do a reboot simple: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  This sets your addressbook?

  If this is not the case, let me ask you if you have added an email address Gmail in the month, at the beginning of this strange behavior?

  You can look at the Options > status > press the Meny > database sizes.

  Scroll to the bottom for addressbook, you see more than one list?

  What do you see?

  Looks like you've lost your toolbars.
  If the menu bar is missing also by pressing alt or F10 should appear. FYI: This works in most applications to reveal the hidden toolbars.
  The menu bar select View-Toolbars and rekindle the missing toolbars.
  Writing and address book are on the e-mail toolbar.

  I moved from Windows XP to Ubuntu (YES!). I used TB on XP and I was able to pass my address book with all my contacts information by copying and pasting the abook.mab file. But I seem to have lost (or at least, I am currently out) the group lists that I had created using this address book. Where this information is stored and how it transfer to tuberculosis in Ubuntu? Is it as simple as a copy of another specific file or I have to extract and then import information from some files? These group lists were almost as important as the address book and I made the assumption (Yes, I know!) Group of the list of information to be part of the address book. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

  Problem solved: my bad! Group lists * are * actually there in the abook.mab file, there was just a small arrow next to the label of "Personal address book" that I had to click to view. Sorry about that.

  And I started digging a little further in the former #appdata # files and found a file called history.mab. I copied it in all, and now I have my "collected addresses" back too.
