system not recognize fonts after system restore

my system crashed and had to do a full system restore. I had 4 great programs that I use in my business (graphic arts) and 100 of fonts that all recognized. I used "navigator of police" to ensure that I had only 4 or 5 fonts loaded at once, but as already said 'ALL' my fonts were recognized and actually loaded 2 times (because my list of fonts was extreemly long in all programs on my system, i.e. of photoshop, sony vegas, Word, Fireworks, etc.).

Back to the problem, when reinstall programs on my system, I started to do the msg of error indicating that my registry was too full and reduce the amount of fonts in my registry. Huh???????????? What this means and why can I not load fonts in the system as they were only 72 hours ago?

Help! I have a wedding program for design and cannot access my fonts!

What was the FULL and EXACT error message?  I've never seen an error message saying the registry was too full before - and the fonts are not actually stored - they are in the Directory Windows/Fonts (although some that are used can be there).  If you have done a system restore complelte (which I assume you mean own installation) all fonts you added would have been removed in the process and you would only have the fonts that come with Vista.  You will need to re - install fonts as well as the registrywould have been recreated with the fonts folder.  If you are talking about a system restore then you only needed to reinstall all the programs installed between now and the restore point - not all of them.  I'm a bit confused.

You have more than the original set of fonts in the fonts directory by chance - check if it contains only those that come with Vista or that you have since re-installed.  If you have done a system restore and a recovery system, they should stilll be there and nothing should change.

Please explain exactly what you were doing and answering other questions above in your response.  You have now or have you ever used any product of Registry Booster, cleaner or Fixer?

Thanks and good luck!

  • Mac does not recognize Ethernet after failure

We had a brief power failure this weekend and a couple of my Macs a brand-new Macbook Pro 15 "and iMac 21.5" end 2013 do not recognize Ethernet. tried several possible fixes I found online remove various preferences and other files that nothing worked.  I tried to remove the Ethernet interface to see that when I wanted to add once again it was no longer available in the interface of the menu drop-down.  I rebooted, zapped the PRAM and removed from many many files of network preferences, but nothing could him recognized through the thunderbolt adapter Ethernet of Ethernet

At this point, I gave a little and save all the information of the user, a re-installed the operating system on the existing system using the network of restoration (R command).

Everyone has had this problem before?  Is there an easy fix?

    Reset the SMC

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

The failure could have messed with the SMC on the computer, which essentially controls how the power is sent to the device.

Also, have you tried to connect the devices with a new Ethernet cable? The cables themselves could have been damaged, or even of your router.

Best way to test is to take one of your devices to somewhere with an Ethernet cable to test Ethernet computer port. This could be done in an Apple store if you are near one. Would help to determine if there is a problem with the computer or the router/modem or cable.

  • Windows 7 password problem: does not recognize password after waking from sleep

So I have recently buy a netbook with Windows 7 operating system. I create the administrator account and password protect. All right, install software, copy documents, etc. in the "My Documents" folder and happily use the machine for a few days with no problems. Then work off the battery voltage, put the PC in sleep for some time. When I try and log back in after the awakening of the PC, it does not recognize the password. Try with cap locks, off and all the rest, but not luck. I must finally remove the battery and restart. Sign in as normal (the password is recognized) and go in the user administrator account to disable the password, but then again, the current password is not recognized and I am not allowed to make changes. However, I can still close and log on by using the current password. Confused. Anyine have any ideas?

There is no need to remove the battery or pull the taken when force a PC to stop. By pressing the power button for about ten seconds will do the trick.

Your password problem: you might be dealing with a foreign keyboard problem. Make the password to something that is independent of the keyboard configuration, for example 123456.

To reset the administrator password, follow these steps:
    1. click on start.
    2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
    3. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    4. click on "run as Administrator".
    5. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
    net localgroup administrators
(This will show you the accounts that have administrative privileges. What is?)
    NET user administrator 123456
(This will set the password to 123456)

  • Nighthawk D7000 does not recognize DSL after firmware update

After updating firmware for V1.0.0.38 my D7000 would not recognize my AT & T DSL, no dsl or internet light connection.

A round and round with netgear TS and told me that the firmware would not cause. I paid for an extended service get this problem fixed. After AT & T came home and verified that all signal completely to modem was good, TS decided that my modem was bad and I paid to get a new delivery.

Connected a new place and still no DSL recognition. This unit was V1.0.0.32.

I downloaded the V1.0.0.18 firmware and the problem disappeared. I'm back up and running.

I tried the next most recent firmware and the unit would not recognize my DSL once again.

So, I'm under V1.0.0.18 and it seems to work very well.

What is the problem with that?

Don't know if you have this problem solved yet but that's. That's what I had to do.

You will need to download the * *.18 firmware. something of higher que.18 does not work, tested!

Connect the modem and connection with the connection on the bottom of the D7000.

When you open a session go to the menu update firmware. link to your downloaded software. I will ask if you want to because of the older firmware, say Yes. Be patient and let it work.

Now, you will get the LEDs ADSL and internet.

You must have your ATT internet connection and the password to complete the installation.

Mine works fine, for DSL sucky service.

    Good luck!!

  • InDesign CC does not recognize fonts in the fonts in my documents folder?

Does anyone have a solution to this? I have the indd file in the same folder as the folder of fonts in the document.

    Thank you!!

The dfonts will never work on Windows, and I suspect that other policies can also be Mac unusable uan format on your system. You can check that by checking the size of the file. Fonts Mac will show 0kb.

The fonts in the Document must be in the same folder as the .indd file, but if the fonts it contains are not compatible, it won't matter.

  • Windows 7 64-bit: Windows Update Service is not running. After the restoration of 500 GB to 750 GB HD drive.

I was running Window 7 64-bit Ultimate on a laptop Asus N series with a Western Digital 500 GB HD with no problems. I buy a new Seagate 750 GB hard and sustained up to my computer using Macrium Reflect. When I restore my drive on the new Seagate 750 GB HD everything starts fine, but Windows Update does not work as in the post:

Windows 7 64-bit: Windows Update Service not working (but it runs in services.msc)

I went through everything in this announcement and nothing has worked. I have no idea what to try and I am deployed to Iraq with the army so I can very well take in anywhere to have watched or call technical support. Help, please!

First of all, thank you for your Service !

See if this hotfix solves the problem - an update that improves the compatibility of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Advanced Format drives is available
Be warned, if the following error occurs during the installation of the hotfix, it is the same mistake that the hotfix is intended to correct.

Setup has encountered an error: 0xc8000247

That is the same mistake noted in WindowsUpdate.log when updating fails

FATAL DtaStor: DS: 0xc8000247: JetInit failed
DtaStor FATAL: Failed to initialize the data store, error = 0xC8000247
FATAL DnldMgr: DM:CAgentDownloadManager:CheckAllCallDownloadStates: GetSession failed with 0xc8000247

If the processor is Intel, you can update the fast Intel storage technology driver to resolve the error.
Suggest you check the ASUS website to see if they have a newer driver of TSRI.

Download HP update Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
Error messages appear during the update of Windows, when you insert the card or using Live Mail

In another thread with this question, someone with a Sony laptop used the download above HP to solve the problem but, I can't recommend it.

  • InDesign CC 2015 does not recognize fonts

I have a set of Kievit fonts: regular, regular italic, bold, bold italic, Black, and Black Italic.

All these appear in the list fonts - EXCEPT regular italic.

Normal italics shows as being installed in my folder of fonts. Illustrator and Photoshop CC 2015 recognizes it.

I read another post that suggested by selecting 'Search all font name', but it does not solve the problem, nor the rearmament of the InDesign preferences.

If anyone has a suggestion for this problem I would be very happy.

Copy the fonts to the InDesign fonts folder.

  • iPhone stuck in DFU and PC mode does not recognize device after installation of iOS 9.3.2 failure

So today, I decided to upgrade my firmware to the latest 9.3.2 via iTunes 9.2. Everything was fine. Both PC and iTunes recognized my phone and the upgrade process was fine, until suddenly I'm met by a mistake to say that the update failed, which was then followed by an immediate blue screen of death, with the error pointing to 'asmtxhci.sys', the XHCI Host Controller Driver of ASMedia Technology Inc.. My phone is then stuck in DFU, and my PC mode and iTunes refuses to recognize my device. I checked Device Manager and noticed this strange spectacle:

It lists somehow my camera as two separate. I tried to install the drivers manually from "C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers". I managed to install the drivers for the DFU mode (but he didn't) I met for the first device, but when I tried for the second device by mistake 10 "device could not start" or something like that.

I don't know how to proceed from here. I tried so many stuff, read so many other messages, but I have not seen anyone with my problems, that's why I went here. I'm half - panic right now...

This sounds like a rather nasty problem - maybe a conflict with ASMedia USB and Apple Mobile Device Driver.  If you do a Google search on "asmtxhci.sys" you may reports of this cause the blue screen of death (BSOD).  There are a few patches recommended, but I'm not going to suggest anything as I'm not familiar with any of them and they could cause various other problems (even worse).  Good luck!!!

  • does not recognize password after abnormal termination

My son said all he did was turn my computer on, plug his ipod for 10 minutes, then press the button close instead of using the mouse on the screen to stop.  In other words, he started and shut it off using the button on the cpu.  I didn't know what he had done until I went to use my computer and it wouldn't recognize my password so I could access my computer.  I asked who was on my computer and what they were doing.  Any ideas?

many people do not have this but there is a built-in account called Administrator that, by default, no password. Try this restart, press F8 repeditavly until you see a windows advanced startup options select Safe mode with the arrow keys and press ENTER twice. then try to log in as an administrator. If you use the Welcome screen, and you don't see no admin press ctr + alt + delete twice and type Administrator and leave the password empty. Then you can use user accounts in Control Panel to reset your password.

  • .chm TOC using variables - print SSL does not recognize anything after the variable

Here's something interesting that I came across today.  I think that maybe it's a bug in RH 10.

I create .chm TOCs using variables.  For entries of table of contents of page, a content before the variable in the table of contents entry converts to the table of contents printed without problem.  But any content after the variable is ignored.  It's only a problem with the pages in the table of contents.  Books are very good.

    For example:

    Book TOC:

    "Clinic - {variable} {variable}.

This translates very well to the table of contents printed in printed documentation SSL.

    Table of Contents Page:

    "Clinic - {variable} {variable}.

Aside from the link in the table of contents page, the code for the TOC book and page table of contents is the same.  But, for some reason, anything after the * first * variable in the page table of contents is ignored in the table of contents printed for printed documentation SSL.  It doesn't matter if it's another right or variable text.

    printtoc_variablesbug.jpg

In the image above, both the "clinic - display the list of participants in the" book of the TOC and TOC page on the left contains two variables:

    "Clinic - {variable} {variable}.

On the right page "Clinic - Participant list", the variable "screen" is ignored and deleted page table of contents only when the layout of the chapter is created for printing SSL.  HR will remove anything after the first variable in the table of contents page, whether it's a text variable or right.  HR does not remove the antything of a book TOC when the presentation of the chapter is created for printing (visible in the picture above).

Post edited by: eeddings - added image to visually show the bug.

When you generate print books will go in the printed document.

Pages in the table of contents of the document are not based on what is in the table of contents above, but on the topic title.

Add the variable there and it works.

  • audio files do not play sound after the restoration of the links

I recently moved to a project from one disk to another.

When I opened it the project folder I had to recreate a link to all the media which seemed to have a lot of success. However the audio files do not seem to play any sound. When I tell one of the audio files in the finder window, it take me for an alias file. When I try to open this file, it indicates that the original file cannot be found.

I tried to remove the entire library of files sound and re-import them back in. But still, it does not solve this ridiculous issue.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello

I have Adobe Indesign CC (9.1.0.33) installed on my Mac Book Pro 2010, OSX10.8.4, with two user accounts in my main account ID (admin) works fine, no problem at all, if I connect to my account (not admin) second ID embarks, he posts two errors

Adobe InDesign does not recognize fonts as a plug-in Manager.InDesignPlugin

Adobe InDesign does not recognize the Panel.InDesignPlugin character as a plug-in

I, repaired permissions, reinstalled ID, tried an admin disconnecting and logging in the second account, but the problem persists.

could someone who has the slightest idea of what is happening maybe please notify.

    see you soon

    Kevin

    Hey Kevin,

You can uninstall InDesign and you can check non installed in the Applications folder if a file for Adobe InDesign CC still exists. If so delete this folder manually and remove the trash.

Install CC InDesign again. Do it from your administrator account.

    Thanks and greetings

    Hello

Make sure you have the latest network adapter drivers fron toshiba

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

and if windows update is at the origin of the problem change how to get updates to uncover the problem update

When you have found the issue, a right click on it then invited uac then hide

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.
