System Windows 8 Installation error unhandled thread exception
Have tried to install windows 8 pro with the same result, still getting same error mentioned above. system becomes earlier installed windows 7.
I think that we solved the problem as shown in the blue screen.
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (USB_Ethernet_Adaptor.sys)
(1) the laptop BIOS has been updated.
(2) the driver (USB_Ethernet_Adaptor.sys) has been updated.

Windows 7 installation error code 0 x 80070017
OK so here is my story... My computer was working very slow so I thought after two years of hardcore use, it was time to restore it and went in the menu of windows 7 on the wiped installation disc the drive clean after saving my files. Now it will not install 7 so I put XP on it to see if it would help it so I could install 7 on it, but it will not install. Your help is appreciated...
Original title: error code 0 x 80070017 Windows 7.
Hi Shane,
Error 0 x 80070017 means that files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' files on the drive are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your hard drive during installation. This usually means the installation media has been corrupted or the player can not read the DVD.
I suggest to create a USB key with the installation files and then install it. You can see the video in the article how to create a USB installation media.

L750 PSK2YV satellite: System unhandled thread exception (athwbx.sys)
I upgraded my laptop Toshiba L750-A-210 (short number: PSK2YV) for windows 8.1 pro of win 7.
but now windows crashes on every restart and I can not log on the system, also I can not recover because I deleted the recovery partition in order to install the windows 8, but I have it on another hard drive.* do you have any ideas on solving this issue.*
I read a few threads on the web and apparently it's a compatibility issue with the Qualcomm site says toshiba wireless adapter also my laptop model is not supported for 8 upgrade.
I just want my laptop for win 7PS windows displays this error: system_thread_exception_not_handled (athwbx.sys)
my laptop specs:
http://www.toshibamea.com/TechnicalSupportDetails.aspx?PageID=21&ProductID=5 0203Best regards
Hello
The athwbx.sys belongs to the Atheros driver it seems that the installed Atheros Wlan driver isn't entirely compatible by Windows 8.1 System.
You can try remove / uninstall the driver in order to solve this problem. If you have not created the disc of recovery in the past, then, you will not be able to recovery laptop back to the factory for Win 7 settings
I guess you will need to order the Toshiba recovery media in the event that you want to reuse the Win 7.By the way: your laptop model was released in the United States, then you should check the page of forum and Toshiba USA support for the driver update.
By the way; Here's a similar topic forum thread:

Windows Modules Installer error: 1009
Hello
I use Windows 7. I made this mistake in a significant way of Error 1935. I encountered this problem with many cases, including install MSXML 4.0 SP2 etc.
And I used the method of size of the registry unlimited (value 0xffffff) etc. All do not work in my PC.After I checked the CBS, I realized that it's something wrong in the modules of windows install (trustedinstaller.exe), when I tried to start the services, I got the following error:
Windows could not start the service of installation of modules windows on the Local computer.
Error 1009: The configuration registry database is damaged.
We still need to fix without reinstalling windows (see: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistaapps/thread/17b35f3e-82c3-4491-b94e-6a01c3abf854)? I have a lot of already installed SW.

Hi Larry,
Follow these steps:
Method 1:
Scan a checker (SFC) system files on your computer.
SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.
For instructions, see How to use the tool File Checker system to resolve missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files
Method 2: Perform a repair of Windows 7 installation.

Hey @CJBr,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I would like to help you today to resolve the error 2147467259 installation when you install your Deskjet 2050 on your Windows computer. Just so you know that this seems to not be a problem with SSD for Windows.
I'll provide you with a solution of @chburnham . I suggest this fix but do not guarantee that it will work because you will need to go into your registry and modify some files. Only run the fix if you feel comfortable with editing your registry files.
I recommend you back up your registry before you edit the registry files:
Then, run the fix in the ink of the forum below:

Repeatedly tried to install the upgrade to windows 7 and pure install and get the error message on all partitions available "Setup could not use the existing system partition because it does not contain the required free space. All 3 partitions on a single disk have over 90 GB and separated from the disc more than 65 GB of free space according to the properties of the disk and initial screen during installation. Tried to reformat a partition empty all reinstall Xp sp3 without result. What can I do?
Remove the data cable of all drives except the drive that you want to install Windows 7 on.
Remove all external devices.
Delete all partitions on the disk leave all of the disc as "unallocated".
Boot from the Windows 7 DVD and then install, when you reach the point where it asks you to select a drive, click the "Advanced" option and create a new partition (at least 50 GB) to install Windows and continue with the installation process.

My computer couldn't install updates for awhile, I tried everything I know possible to do. I restored my computer to factory 2 different times and still nothing. It is said there are 8 important updates that must be installed, but since there is no way have to install because of the error I have no way to install them. If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem, I would be very grateful for your help.
Hi BritaneyFlorance,

Windows 7 Installation error 0xE0000100
Hi guys,.
I'm doing a clean install of Windows 7 from my Windows Vista Home Premium. I use a Dell XPS and I downloaded the iso and burned it to a dvd. The dvd should work properly because my friend is able to use it on this computer.
Anyway, for installation I am booting from the CD/DVD, and everything goes well until I press custom installation. Then I get error 0xE0000100 saying that I need to check if the installation sources are accessible. Also, if I double click on custom installation, I get the 0xE0000100 error, AND an error message saying "Windows has not preparing the partition selected for installation." So any ideas? Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi K.Yu
You can perform a chkdsk on your computer and check for the issue, you can follow the steps below.
1. connect to your computer as an administrator. You must have administrator rights to run the utility Chkdsk from Windows Vista.2. go to the utility Chkdsk in Windows Vista through the command-line via the menu 'start '. "All programs" menu click "Accessories". Select the menu item "Run" that will open a text box in which you type the instructions for running Chkdsk.
3. Type "cmd" in the box text run, then click on 'OK '. This will open a DOS window.
4. Insert "chkdsk c:\. "at the prompt of flashing to launch the utility Chkdsk replace"c:\" "by the letter of the drive that you want to run the Chkdsk utility. If your hard drive is "d:\". ", and then type that instead.
5. after the c:\ 'chkdsk' insert '\f' fix errors on the volume of disk or '\r' to recover bad sectors. For more commands BACK Chkdsk, visit the Microsoft Web site.
Now search for the question.
Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost

Your friend has an XP installation CD so that you can reinstall XP?
If your friend does not have a XP CD, maybe there is a hidden machine recovery partition (if Dban has not deleted it) that you can use to go back to XP.
Most of the new machines (with Windows preinstalled) come with a recovery partition, allowing you to return your purchase, you will need to check your user guides (or the manufacturer's Web Site) for instructions. Choose this path requires you to save all the data first.
If you ever get XP back running, try the upgrade of Windows XP 8 Wizard.
