  • During the restart of Vcenter Server - error 1053: the Service has not respond to the start or control

    Hi all

I couldn't use the vSphere Client to enter in vCenter (from my office).

I could not Remote Desktop on the server vCenter resides on.

I could go on the console of the server vCenter resides on.     I couldn't use vSphere Client from there either.

I tried rebooting vCenter and got this error message:

Unable to stop the VMware VirtualCenter Server Service on Local computer.

Error 1053: The service did not respond initially or control in a timely manner.

Any ideas where to look for more clues or ideas on what might be the case?

    Thank you.

    This is not vcenter Server.

    Check the configuration of Windows.

Have you tried restarting your vCenter Server system?

  • After an update, I get error "not responding." and then began to hang at startup; uninstalled and reinstalled still hangs at startup

After you apply a systematic update on Windows XP, I started having "not responding" to stop and had to cancel the task through the Task Manager. The error "not responding" moved to the selection of items on a screen and had to cancel via the Task Manager. I applied the updates and that did not fix the problem. The last update was 34.0.5 and FireFox would not start up. I noticed several people also had this same problem with Windows 7 (although my Windows 7 works ok - touch wood).

34.0.5 upward in safe mode but would not come otherwise. I did a Reset and FireFox started with Extensions disabled. The first expansion, I have activated was Norton 2014 Toolbar and FireFox did not come to the top. After application of all available newly INDEPENDENT States fixed, FireFox came upward with the NIS active 2014 and seems to operate normally in the present tense.

Some added addons toolbar and anti-virus are known to cause
Firefox issues. Disable all of them.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
    While you are in safe mode;

Type of topic: preferences #advanced< enter > in the address bar.

    Under Advanced, select General.
Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

Search web sites secure. Are there problems?

    Then restart.

  • Flash slows down FF hangs with message "not responding".

Shockwave flash is causing crashes giving the message 'firefox is not responding' and slows down my internet experience. I know it's the add-on flash because when I disable it, firefox works much better. I tried all the suggestions concerning problems of flash on this site and nothing worked. I am running win 7 64 bit (Home premium). In addition, Firefox 36.0.1. All the drivers seem to be aware, but I'll check.

My question is... is it possible to easily disable/enable flash without going into the Add-ons Manager? According to what I'm doing, I'm in crashes and Add-ons for him Manager allow either when I need it or disable it when firefox is slow.

I've gotten to the point where I just open add-on Manager in a tab and the leave it open because I know I'll probably be in there turn flash on or off depending on the way in which its make my machine.

Also, I tried flash running in mode 'request to activate', but you must reload the page so that it can find the add-on.

This problem has been ongoing for a few months now; Performance of Firefox was so much better, but this problem does not appear to be resolved. I love firefox, I really want to go to a different browser.

    Thank you
    Duke

    Please ignore the above answer!

One of the reasons frequent slow script errors are the feature of mode of the Flash player plugin. The Protected Mode feature has safety benefits, but there seem to be some compatibility issues on some systems. You can turn it off by creating or modifying a parameter file. The following/post pages which provide different approaches:

To download the Flash completely (closing and restarting Firefox could help) until it takes effect.

    Any improvement?

  • Does not respond when deleting the Messages caused by ginormous basket

After a clean install on Windows 8.1, Thunderbird sometimes says "Not responding" after trying to delete e-mails. After a few minutes, he responds, removes the e-mail message, and life is good. This happens not all the time, but often enough to ask why this happens. Y at - it an incompatibility with Windows 8.1? I find it extremely odd that happen all the time, and that it is in fact instead of crashing.

Re: I didn't plan on messing with Safe Mode, because it is usually have to disable something within the system so that it can work.

Is a debugging feature and it is simple and fast, but it offers very specific information that can be used to identify problems or refute these questions.

    Test Windows 8.1
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode
Choose to start in "Safe Mode with network.
If Thunderbird works ok, then there is a problem with an external program that does not work in Windows safe mode.

If no there is always a problem

    Test Thunderbird safe mode:
    In thunderbird:
'Help' > 'restart with disabled addons.
If the problem goes away then the question is an addon.

Other reasons for a temporary delay in any process could be for example: regular background updates or Thunderbird opening / the use of files large mbox among the many possibilities.
Here is a link that you could use to help identify what is the cause or deny what does not, cause the issue.

  • When Firefox starts (24) he hangs for 10 seconds (not responding) before responding... just started to do this.

When starting FF program (shows not responding is not in the title) stall for 10 seconds, then continues.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • I was using Firefox for some time this morning when Firefox has suddenly shown "not responding".

Now, he opens with "not responding". I can open it in safe mode but nothing works. The button "restore" & "start new session" does not work. It does not connect to any web site. I had a lot of tabs open when it crashed. There is no crash report (latest is 6 weeks ago).

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.

    • Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
    • Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')
