T2 "ContentService stopped suddenly.

I get the error message: "the ContentService application has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. "This happens everytime I turn on my PRS - T2 once it has been completely closed. I tried a soft reset and the same thing is happening: after pressing the reset button, press the power button, my T2 starts, then I get the error "ContentService stopped suddenly.

After the error message, there is a button 'Force Close'. I touch "Force Close" and everything seems fine, and the T2 works normally.

This does not happen when I wake up from its sleep. This happens only when I turn on after a full stop or a soft reset.

I use the latest Firmware: 1.0.03.09110

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Stopping suddenly may also be due to overheating. Usually when he runs some CPU or graphics intensive application, the material can get the critical temperature level and simply turns off.

I'm sure that after some time you can start your laptop. He is old enough laptop model and it's time for cleaning. I really can't say if this has something to do with the preinstalled stuff.

Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again? You won't lose data by doing this, but it can cure a few glitches.

If this does not work and to rule out a software problem, set it back to factory settings, without using any data backup later. Test the phone and if the GPS works again, restore the backup.

If the GPS does not work after the factory reset, it is a hardware problem, and Apple has to repair the phone if GPS can be fixed.

  • Satellite P20 S203 stops suddenly

    Hello

In the last month my Satellite P20 S203 does so well, and unfortunately it seems that the problem is a hardware one (but I'm not sure, and that's why I'm writing here)

The computer just stops suddenly (it happened 2 or 3 times in the last 30 days); every time it happened I was on the web on Firefox, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it, and I'm also 99% sure that this is not a virus, malware or something like that, cause I formatted there are 3 months and nothing else behave in a strange way, the computer is slow or something like that.

The last two options are that the question can be of a physical nature, or a software (as a conflict between the operating system and installed programs); I'm more to the first, but I do not know and I need assistance to find out... What should I do?

In addition, when it stops suddenly, it won't turn with the first try.
He needs like 10 or 20 times to open like an old car that won't start; the first, say, 5 times I try to turn it on, it appears only the toshiba logo.
It then passes through a screen, I can not read because it goes too fast.

Then a black screen, then it turns off again.
With the next try that it goes a bit further, as it displays the windows logo, but as this image is fading, it stops halfway through the fading process, resulting in a darker windows logo, as it is too difficult for her to load the OS!

But then it turns off again!

Then after a few other attempts it finally loads windows.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Hello

Maybe the laptop stops due to a higher internal temperature.
High temperature leads to an overheating of the questions and the laptop would be stops down automatically to prevent the equipment from damage.
The other point is that the high temperature may affect the RAM modules.
In this case the laptop computer may freeze or you will receive a Blue Screen Of Death.

I had a similar problem in the past. About 6 years ago my first oldie started to overheat.
I cleaned the cooling modules, but the questions again.
Finally, I contacted the laptop technician in downtown, and he said that the thermal grease that is placed between the cooling module and the CPU must be renewed.

    He did, and it helped!

    Hello

Looks like your laptop is overheating. Take a look on the cooling rack, maybe there is little dust that prevents the fan to have enough air. Try to clean it. If this does not help, I think it is best to leave the laptop to be checked by a technician.

    I hope this helps.

  • Yet WT8-A-102 stops suddenly and updated the BIOS

I bought a Toshiba still WT8-A-102 (not part no PDW09E-00100EEN) to the end of 2014. I upgraded from Windows 8 for Windows 10 Home Version 1511 without any problem in 2015.

I use it for a limited number of applications - Office365 and navigation, generally with Chrome and Hola VPN to access certain geographically limited websites, for example TV channels, watch movies and content recorded from my TV (these are generally. TSV format); I run the free version of Malwarebytes and AVG anti-virus.

I have two problems I can solve t.

    1 stop abrupt

For a few months now, it always turns off suddenly, always exactly 30 minutes after the start. There is no warning, the screen goes black and that s it. You can immediately restart and continue as before, but the same thing will happen again after another 30 minutes. It happens that it s plugged in or on battery power.

I can find no reason for this. For example:

    • It didn't happen when I've upgraded to Windows 10 but a few months later.
    • The battery does not turn down.
    • The Tablet does not heat.
    • It occurs regardless of whether you ve been using the Tablet constantly for 30 minutes or simply turn it on and let it idle.
    • Sleep and stop times are set to one hour.

I ve looked at event viewer and the only things there are a few system errors showing which means nothing to me (a server is not registered within the required). Certainly, there is nothing that happens in the few minutes before it turns off suggesting a reason.

    Any ideas please?

    Update 2 BIOS

I ve installed the different Toshiba updates available for this model. However, the update BIOS doesn t work. She is currently the version 1.60. I ve downloaded the version 1.80 for this model on the desktop. The zip file is bios-20150722112320. I extract it and it starts the process. The Tablet goes on to say it's reboot and then a panel will appear that says:

    InsydeH20 Flash secure
    Invalid firmware image!
Press any key to reset the system

It s a Tablet! While they want me to? I ve you press buttons - Windows and volume - but nothing happens. If I just leave it, it turns off after 30 minutes and we re back with BIOS version 1.60 and I can work as usual.

Although this seems excessive, but suggestions please?

Thanks a lot for any advice,
    John

It seems that your problem is similar to mine. I'm having the same random stop downs https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread...-Error-Code-10 also I have an error code 10 in Device Manager. The agenda called "Intel Trusted execution engine Interface"... are you facing the same error?

I sent my tablet at the service of Toshiba, it has been over a month now and still waiting to be informed about the problem!

  • Satellite S50D - A - 10 G - stop suddenly

    Hello

Last night my wife was looking at something on the laptop turns off suddenly youtube ad.
No blue screen or anything like that.

Now when I try to turn it on it stops after about 5 seconds.
Does anyone have ideas of what is happened?

Laptop is only about 5 months...
    Please, any help will be...

    Hello

Laptops shut down automatically because the temperature inside the laptop.
It may be possible that cooling grids as well as the cooling fan is clogged with dust and the cooling air cannot circulate properly.

Try to clean the grilles and fan using a jet of compressed air. This will help eliminate dust.

On the other hand, it could be just a software problem.
What happens if you access the BIOS? During power on, press F2. This should lead you directly to the BIOS.

Usually problems of software, the unit should not off running from the BIOS.

    Comments would be appreciated.

  • Satellite A30 303 stops suddenly

Very recently (strangely, just like the year warranty missed!) my laptop has been close so any intensive (I guess) the program is running (games, Norton Antivirus full analysis, in particular). Deleting the temporary files is a suggested by Symantec for help, but only on one occasion. It is not closed for any other use; There is no error message or accident, stopping just sudden and decommissioned. When he took over, there is no error message.

    Help please?

    RP

    Hi Roger,

I suspect that your A30 could be overheating. There is a thermal trigger designed to cut power to the laptop if the CPU overheats. Normally this will be accompanied by an increase in the activity of fan cooling.

You will find a lot of posts in this forum about exactly this situation, but in short, I recommend to use a hose of vacuum cleaner against the grids of aspiration of air on the bottom of the A30 fan to remove all dust and debris from the heatsink to the CPU.

If the problem persists, it may be necessary to remove the heatsink for cleaning but this can invalidate your warranty if it is still in force.

  • Satellite L855 - 10 p - stop suddenly, play 3D games

    Hello

When you try to play 3D games, after more or less playing time, often less than 10 minutes, my Satellite will suddenly stop. Subsequently, it cannot be started for some time.

This kind of symptom is usually due to overheating, a common problem with portable Satellite (and besides, it's probably the last Toshiba I buy because they can't seem to get that fixed).
The usual solution is to remove dust from the inside of the laptop, for example with a soft vacuum.

It is impossible to do correctly without opening (and voiding the warranty) because they do not have access to the fan and the heat sink, put can help from time to time.

On this model, however, the exhaust gas is block by a grid (part of the heatsink I guess, which is logical) and on consumption, the fan is blocked so he can't turn in the opposite direction, which means that it is almost impossible to s * ck dust. Result: almost impossible to remove the dust. Well played.

So normally I would send my laptop for 'repairs' (which opens just the thing to remove dust and maybe redo the thermal paste, but you can do that yourself of course), but in this case, I noticed it very quick stop.

I can leave it on a 2D game or old low-quality 3D games (supreme commander says mode low quality) for hours without problem, even in hot weather, but as soon as I try a newer version in the game (for example Resident Evil 6, even in low quality) it stop quickly and without feeling so hot.

So I was wondering if maybe that this time, it would be a problem with the driver/graphic card. Let's say something like an order than crash the graphics card.

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7670 M with the 8.932.5.3000 driver version (the only one available for this computer and Windows 7 64-bit on the Web from Toshiba site).

Is there a known problem that could cause the graphics card to plant or overheating more than expected with this model?

(If you're wondering why I don't write s * ck in full letter, it is because the filter of profanity on this forum don't think it's a word that can be used in a normal conversation.)

    > When you try to play 3D games, after more or less playing time, often less than 10 minutes, my Satellite will suddenly stop. Subsequently, it cannot be started for some time.

To me, it sounds like a GPU has worked at full capacity and produces a lot of heat, leading to high internal temperature.
To my eyes the air conditioner stops due to the high temperature.
The laptop supports a type of protective gear. The unit will stop automatically to prevent the equipment from damage.

Dust and debris could be one of the reasons why the parties cannot be cooled properly.
    > This kind of symptom is usually due to overheating, a common problem with portable Satellite
This kind of symptom happens to all laptop computers worldwide because of the airflow.

    > I can leave it on a 2D game or old low-quality 3D games (supreme commander says mode low quality) for hours without problem, even in hot weather, but as soon as I try a newer version in the game (for example Resident Evil 6, even in low quality) it stop quickly and without feeling so hot

Games running on the low quality not stress the GPU a lot and this led to the dissipation low and low temperature.

    > Is there a known problem that could cause the graphics card to plant or overheating more than expected with this model?

I don t think so more often, these problems can be solved by changing the settings in the windows power options (decreases the performance CPU/GPU, cooling method change) and, of course, in the game settings (details down, etc.)

  • Satellite P10 stop suddenly

I have problem of sudden closure with my Satellite P10... and no new BIOS update available.
Is there anyone who can help me?

    Hello

How old is your laptop and when it close? Perhaps during some heavy applications?

There are several times my laptop didn't stop because the temperature was too high.
Someone here in the forum suggested to clean the fans and the cooling with the vacuum module. I did it because my laptop is a little older. Because of the dust and debris, the fans didn't work properly and the temperature is increased to the critical level.

The operating system shut down the laptop to prevent damage.
I think you should check for this possibility.

Also the damaged software could be a reason to turn off automatically down. Especially the new installation of the operating system can help solve these problems.

  • Satellite M40 - Power stops suddenly

    Hi friends,

Initially, I had some problem with my adapter which, after some time, I set myself. But after that 2 days back, my power supply laptop suddenly stops and that its battery is not too, it closes without stopping. The power light turns off too, but after 7-10 minutes, they reglow (LED) and after that I can restart my computer, but this problem from happening again.

In addition, due to this sudden put off tension, my computer screen is now black come with a very light very light until the final start screen comes.

I will be really grateful for your help!

    Hello!

This is strange, but I think it could be a matter of the AC adapter. You can test a different adapter for your laptop?

Maybe that your laptop is also overheating and stops due to a higher internal temperature. If you need to clean your laptop with a jet of compressed air. This could blow the dust of fans cooling and, therefore, it of not necessary to disassemble the laptop.

I clean my cell phone every 3 months and never had overheating problems.

    Good bye
