T5810 precision what USB port must use to boot from a bootable USB key

My Precision T5810 has two USB 2.0 ports and 4 ports USB 3.0 in the back and another 3 USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 to the front ports. (these are controlled by 2 x Intel C610 series/99 X chipset USB controllers for USB 2.0 ports and host controller enhancedhost expandable Intel USB 3.0 for 3.0 ports)

I have the ability to boot from a device of USB storage, for example in the trunk once () menu. Which ports USB should I use so eager to boot from a bootable (USB stick) USB flash drive?

It is an example for which I would like to make this BIOS update using a USB bootable BACK. instead of doing so using methods of Windows System.

Probably is not serious. It will be either boot or not. Pretty easy to test...

Obviously, a USB2 drive will operate as if connected to a port USB3 even USB2.

Connect the USB bootable for the front to turn port if it is recognized as a boot option F12 menu.

    When you upgrade to 8.1 Windows it will replace your Windows 8.0. The only way I know to have both is to buy a copy of Windows 8.1 and install on another partition or drive.  Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  • Precision T5810 two DVD drives, how can I change that used to boot from at the start of the optical drive

    My T5819 of accuracy came with two DVD-RW drives, a thin line 8 x, HL-DT-ST DVD + - RW GTA0N SCSI CdRom Device, the other a full size 16 x PLDS DVD + - RW DH - 16AES SCSI CdRom Device.

    To start from a CD bootable (e.g. Acronis image recovery disk) at the present time, it's the drive slimline (E:\) is seen from the trunk once optical drive menu start. I would prefer that it if it was a (currently F\ :).) What should I do to get the disks exchanged in the system (so the reader 16 x becomes E\: and I can start, and control of thin line becomes F\ :)?) Is it simply a matter of reconciliation where they are plugged, or y at - it a bios option (or both?)

    Guess the permutation of the cables can be that you are the only other choice. Restart, and then press F2 to open the BIOS Setup. Copy down all current settings, just to be sure.

    Power then off, unplug and press/hold power button for about 15 seconds before opening the case.

    If these are SATA optical drives and reached the data cables, do not bother exchange of berries. Just swap the cables. If they are IDE drives connected to the same wide ribbon cable, you will need to Exchange in the drive bays. That you want to create a primer must be connected to the end of the slick IDE and other intermediate connector.

    Once that is done, remove the battery from the motherboard and the press/hold power button for about 30 sec force the BIOS to check the material after reinstalling the battery. Then reboot normally from the HARD disk.

    If you get errors booting from the HARD disk, restart again and press F2 to go into BIOS again. Make sure that all the BIOS settings match what you wrote down or change to match. Save the changes and exit the installation program.

    Assuming everything works now, try to boot from one that corresponds to your favorite optical drive.

    You may need to check again drive letter assignments in Windows Management Console once it works the way you want.

    Hello

    1. you are trying to install Windows XP by using the bootable USB key?

    Check if the sequence of the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is set to boot to the operating system from the USB key.

    For more information get in touch with the manufacturer of the system.

  • What functions can I use to read from a RS-422 serial port?

    I'm reading a continuous strem of three numbers of an anemometer connected via RS - 422. What is the easiest way to read these in LabVIEW? Also it would be easy to separate these numbers andplot them separately against the clock?

    Dear

    He's hit 422 network operations and Miss at best. We decided to use their equipment to convert RS232 RS422 but only use an intrument on each 422 network. So we didn't need mark of unity, we use a serial port, separate for each instrument. I just configured to run in default mode on several occasions where they send their status message. The default mode also transmits all three (if you use patterns 3-axis) for the playback speed.

    When operating in this mode and configuration, everything I have to do is surround data and analyze the updated.

    This screenshot should show you everything you need to get started.

  • Using qml ranging from base for a key card type / value

    I have given in my application in the form of a set of json key / value accessible through the data source build in qml. I would like to put this in a variant of the property, which is accessible from a number of different UI objects (labels, lists, text fields, etc.). Here's what I have...

    Page {
        property variant item
        Container {
             Label {
               id: testLabel
         }
    .
    .
    .

    And this is the json with data file

    {
        "message":"Request Successful",
        "data":{
        "id":52,
        },
        "date":"2012-12-17 12:47:28"},
        "status":"success"
    }

    However, if I leave with something like the following, I get the text appears in the label

           DataSource{
                   id: dataSource
                   source: "models/test.json"
               onDataLoaded: {
                     testLabel.text = data.message
              }
           }

    According to this page a qml Variant should have no problem holding a set of key-value pairs. Anyone know why this is happening? Am I missing something obvious?

    Too bad I had to declare the variant of the property within the section of NavigationPane not the section of the Page * facepalm *.

    In each market, unless F9 (for most HP computers and laptops) is selected to change the order, BIOS will look on the bootable devices (USB HDD, ODD,) in the order that they are configured in the BIOS settings.

    A usb device is not in the list of the BIOS boot order, as it is generally not available and only temporarily inserted.

  • 5.09 pheonix BIOS does support booting from a usb key? If not, is there an update that will?

    Presario SR5249UK

    Your system should boot from a bootable USB key, as long as you select in the BIOS or at the time of booting as a device to boot from. What is an update of the BIOS... version 5.23 corrects the display of the configuration Menu of the BIOS for SATA Port 2 and 3, CPU microcode updates and updates v115M for MXIC SPI AWDFLASH.

  • Portege R100 - I can reinstall Windows XP Home edition with USB floppy & USB key?

    I recently damaged my R100 thanks to a virus attack. Despite late cleaning things up with Norton, it will now very slowly and I think that the only way forward is through a total reinstall XP.

    I have the original recovery CD and a USB floppy drive but not a PCMIA CD-ROM. As luck would have my USB CDRom is broken. How can I get out of this situation? I'm about to throw an old desk and would be happy to use the XP retail on the R100, if necessary. It is also possible to start the format & install process from a startup disk, and then most of the OS from a USB - having previously filled with copies of the contents of the CD? Desperate people make desperate methods!

    I've read a few other discussions on recovery XP issues but they are not entirely coincident with my situation. Any help on this front would be very welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    If you can get the installation on the R100 HARD disk files using a FAT32 partition, you can install Windows from the HARD drive after booting from a bootable MS-DOS floppy. (MSDOS can not see NTFS drives).

    You can use a 1.8 "adapter HARD USB drive to copy the installation files on the disk HARD R100 from another PC. The adapter would be cheap.

    Please tell me how to boot from a cd drive external usb in a toshiba satellite 1405 sd-151

    Hi Luuzz,

    as you probably know for boot from CD push aprox key 'C '. 3-4 seconds after pressing the power button / stop.

    This procedure has been done by the 'U' key to boot from the USB device.

    Maybe it doesn't work because your machine is an American model, then look it up in the BIOS setting if an external to start device is available!

    Please test and provide a response for reporting!

  • What ports must be used between SX20 and Intouch?

    Hello.

    I'm a junior engineer of telepresence,

    I face to make matching SX20 and Intouch. They have the same subnet mask and even G/w.

    with this configuration, I had things qurious.

    Question,

    1. in the event that they must have the same mask subnet and the same G/W? If so, why?

    2. which ports to use when pair SX20 and Intouch?

    3. how to pass the NAT H.323 mode

    (I know what WE / OFF mode and also how it works, but I did not understand the Auto mode, there is no document on this subject)

    This is just my thinking I hope I'm wrong.

    I'm afriad that Auto mode automatically calculrate the audit of public or non-public of logical IP subnet internal,

    After that, decide Tochange source ip or keep when H.323 call.

    If that, what users have public IP addresses and use them as private with the exception of a few ip for security, IPs

    and they use for NAT 1:1 or PAT to use internet. So how do they check it's private or public.

    Sorry for the reading of inconvient it, it isn't my mother tongue. and I wish the goodness of the expert.

    1. in the event that they must have the same mask subnet and the same G/W? If so, why?

    No, inTouch able to pair with the codec of subnet different until properly configured gateway IP address.
