T61p - on-site warranty just installed new fan/radiator - time of Nvidia went Up - help please

Someone please look at the pictures below, tell me if warranty Onsite installed the fan/radiator bad for one of my five T61p units earlier today that the Nvidia chip runs a good 15 ° C warmer than before (the other time watching normal using HWMonitor v1.17).   BTW, this chip from Nvidia is a good one dated 2010 (1043A 2) and came from a previous motherboard warranty Onsite replacement thanks to the Nvidia bumping because of the failure of materials (on a machine end July 2008 08/07, no less).

I have included photos of one of my other unit for comparison T61p fan/heatsinks (in August 2008 08/08 of the machine) and my other units from Nvidia are still with a tube of heat very different to running the Nvidia chip research more a heatsink very high above the Nvidia chip, which has a gray cushion vinyl top (see pictures).  Replacement of today appear that it may have an elbow in the naked heat tube running to the Nvidia chip.

The technology installed also wrongly a long live in the lower left corner of the processor heat sink... I found it when I went later to remove the KB and palm rest to see why the Nvidia chip ran more hot (because screw KB was previously a long screw, but it was released as a short screw, so I thought he put a long screw inside a place where it shouldn't be).   Fortunately, I found the corner of the CPU and the swap of screws but that has not solved the Nvidia chip running more hot.

Here is the part number of the thermal fan they sent him: 42W2823

Could this be a fan/radiator T61 Assembly which was sent to him by mistake? That would explain a lot and can easily be corrected by a return visit in the future.

This second tech (of the same service contract company) was superb, and he even used a buffer of anti-static work! ... Unlike the first tech.

He also spent more time to ensure no damage has been done the first tech work and as I looked at the time after starting for a while (unlike the first tech who almost had a foot in the door before I could not even start until time to check).

So now my second (out of five) T61p units (unit very late July 08/07) runs once more in good time, after the good fan/radiator was installed.   The second tech stopped even without any complain for me to take a couple of pictures correctly targeted its current NVIDIA GPU... a GPU of 2010 with a 1043A 2 code a replacement motherboard Lenovo warranty in 2011 for my file date!

Thanks to Lenovo warranty Department and the 2nd technician for a job well done.

    This will stop and remove netcut and the problem of redirection.
    I tested in vmware and I sent the guy who did netcut and also posted it on cnet downloads.

    No antivurs or malware program it will pick up, I think that it down to the activepacket.dll

    So, I got my new laptop computer and finally registered online to benefit from the guarantee. Everything went well and my account is performed and recorded.

    However, I've been waiting for about 2 hours now for an email confirmation just to keep in my files that all went well, (need the copy just in case for warranty purposes) but nothing has been sent!

    My Email is Correct, I checked the spam and trash folder and any confirmation e-mail from HP again!

    I really need this email to keep in my books, and I'm confused why it has not yet been sent. There may be a day or two?

    I do not know. Can someone enlighten me on this?

    Yes, this can take a few days of notification of update of guarantee.  As you can image you are not alone and they must update the system with the information and it could take a few days.  In the meantime, you can check to see if it has been updated on the HP Web site:

    Check the status of your warranty

    If the guarantee is not yet updated, give it a few days and check again.  Should it still not be updated, please contact HP support and that your warranty information available for them.

    I wanted to just install Photoshop CS5 on my 64-bit Windows 8.1 computer, which also happenes to be a new machine. The serial number provided in my Adobe account is not accepted by the installer! The information that I have collected from the points area of 'support' me for a problem that is caused by not properly uninstalling the previous installation, am I wrong? I did not know that. Also, I'm not native and feel a little lost on this.

    Please help, I need to use my copy of PS CS5, thanks!

  • Install device driver CD/DVD of Windows 7 error HELP Please!

    Hi all, I currently have a problem extremely weird about installing windows 7. I get the following message:

    "A required CD/VDVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver on floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now. »

    I downloaded the Windows 7 upgrade utility and it said everything was fine except for messenger, something aero and my printer.

    Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

    ARGH its boring that his does not work. People claim that its something to do with writing speed but I installed the copy on my computer laptop too. I downloaded my Windows 7 since the MSDN site and have tried 3 downloads separated and all come with the same question.

    I found the answer, I hope this will help others.

    1. I've updated my BIOS and drivers, the DVD burned on the slowest speed possible (x 2), but without success.
    2. reinstalled windows XP and run the Upgrade Advisor, and he says I can tun Windows 7 very well.
    3. tried installed and got the error error driver CD/DVD.

    Step 3 confused me and to be honest a little fing and jeffing, BUT although the Upgrade Advisor said that everything was OK, I decided to go to my local "Rip Off World" and buy an external DVD drive. Went into the BIOS and the value that it is the primary boot device and hey presto it was install and sorters suitcase!

    I could not find the drivers for my CD or DVD so, as that was the issue before the installation of Windows 7 (with external DVD drive), I tried I pulled the power cables of my internal CD and DVD players. After I installed Windows 7 now, I placed the power cables, turn it back on and guess what... Windows 7 detects and updated the drivers for me!

    Computers are sometimes a pain in the * and other great times!

    I have a HP Pavillion G6, g6-22213sa computer laptop that I bought about 6 months ago, its functioning, Windows 8 and AMD Quad Core A8 - 4500M accelerated processor. 15.6 ", 1 TB harddrive, 8192 MB DDR SDRAM. the video quality on anything from youtube, personal videos etc. is terrible it's very pixelated, the sound is also slow, which means that it takes a few seconds before you can actually hear anything. Can anyone help please get everything back to normal. for necessary information, just ask you please, im not a big technical guy.

    -Remember to make changes on the computer before the show?

    In order to improve the quality of Youtube video, you can try to change the settings for video quality on the Youtube page.

    As you mentioned that the video quality is pixelated, I you should uninstall and reinstall the sound card drivers and graphics cards and check if it makes a difference.

    -Press the Windows key and the X key, then select Device Manager.

    -Browse graphics cards, right-click on the video driver and click on uninstall.

    -Browse sound, video and game controllers, right click on the audio driver and select uninstall.

    -Restart the computer. Windows will automatically try to detect the hardware and try to install the drivers.

    If that fails, visit the computer manufacturer and download the latest video and audio drivers based on the computer model number.

    Did you participate in the beta of Photoshop before or install a trial version before?

    If you are using Windows, you can uninstall Photoshop from the Control Panel.

    If you are on Mac OS X, go to Applications > utilities > Adobe Installers and double-click on the link to Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS6.

    Is there is nothing to uninstall, then you can run the Adobe cleaning tool to remove all traces of Photoshop CS6. You can download it here http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html. Run it, you may need to scroll down the list until you see Adobe Photoshop CS6 or Adobe Photoshop CS6 pilot. Select it and then click the clean up selected button.

    You should now be able to install Photoshop using Adobe Application Manager.

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit service pack 2 and I'm unable to install the updates, this is the case since December 2011.  I received the error code 80096001. I tried to run the Fix - It, but it does nothing.  Help, please!  Also, I can't turn on the firewall.  I scanned for malware with Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, and none is found.

    Thank you, but who has not helped either, so I finally had to use Recovery Manager to wipe the drive and reinstall Vista again. So far so good.

    You will need to open Lightroom preferences, go to the performance tab and uncheck the GPU.

    I recently installed a new 200GB Hitachi HARD 7200 RPM drive on my laptop, I know that my warranty will be cancelled, but as I still have the original HDD safe and sound, the guarantee will still defend if say... the technicians were to come round to fix my laptop due to an unrelated issue, but see that the HARD drive has been upgraded; they will always fix the laptop even after I show them as the original? It's a long shot I know, but the 40 GB of HARD disc that came with the laptop only leave me little room after installation of Vista.

    At my upgrade COMPLETELY canceled my claim to the guarantee? Even if I just say... come back and install the original HARD drive in my system, just before the technicians come to my house? But that would be the same as if say... I just show the technician the original HDD on arrival while having the HDD Upgrade inside the laptop.

    A bit confusing, I know, but I'm in a quandary, because the guys from Toshiba are set to come around my place to watch my laptop under warranty, and I fear that they will fix my phone because I upgraded to a better HD and faster.

    I would like to try to clarify your question.
    The guarantee will be cancelled, if you you disassemble the laptop.
    I imagine that the laptop was equipped with a HDD slot at the bottom of the unit and you have to delete only one screw to remove the small cache connector HARD drive. Am I wrong?
    So in this case the upgrade of components such as the memory or the HARD drive will not avoid the warranty.

    But it s a good idea to keep the old HDD that were shipped with the laptop.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: just installed new HP cartridges and ink colors are disabled!

    It's very expensive 4 950 XL and 951 cartridges XL that I bought at Staples a couple of months. I noticed right after installation that bright red in my images were now feel like dull brown. I printed a few pages from the control panel of the printer test. Cyan and yellow seemed pretty accurate, but magenta was a deep purple, not the lightest color pink or pink, I expected. I think that something was wrong with the series production of this cartridge. I hope I can find my receipt, but if not, always wait that HP would replace a full cartridge that was flawed in manufacturing. My HP printer has an accuracy of colors great until about a week ago, but is now almost useless for the work at home that I want to do - for example custom greeting cards, cards, posters, etc.. I printed the test pages don't show any problems with the alignment of the head, and the stripes of color show no scratches. Just a magenta that is close to her correct hue, based on my long experience with color ink jet printers.

    An HP service technician spent 1/2 hour on the phone with me yesterday, and we could not solve the problem. I had already worked through the steps that you referred me to. I have never known or heard of a problem like this, and had not the technology. When I printed the Diagnostic Page of print quality, I have absolutely perfect alignment and bars very clean black, gray and colors. Yellow and cyan looked quite right. Magenta was a deep, dark - purple not magenta I am familiar with years of work with inkjet printers. But it's printed cleanly, I started to believe that the new magenta cartridge, which had just been installed as well as 3 other XL cartridges, had somehow got filled with dark purple ink. However during our tests, asked me to remove the magenta cartridge and pick up some color from around the beak with a Q Tip. When I rubbed on the print paper, it was true magenta!

    Other theories were: (1) that somehow the circuit board of the printer and print head did not and triggers the two nozzles magenta and cyan times reported magenta printing. That seems the most likely answer. 3 the theory was that the ink in the print head channels had a leak between inks cyan and magenta. It seems less likely, because there is no impurity in the print cyan, as well as the color printing was absolutely consistent over several test pages. The tech asked me to remove the print head Assembly and clean the area around the nozzles. That did not help.

    In the end, I was offered a model of printer a HP refurbished more recent than mine. The price was very reasonable - much less than the cost of a printed circuit board or a feeling of head. He also used the same cartridges, so my XL series would be used later once provided with the new printer cartridges are consumed. I took that offer and hope to have a new printer from Tuesday. So I'm glad HP service.

    Never heard of mappings of its I/O... If the old sticks still work, it must be something with the new RAM, maybe back to PC World and try another.  You bought RAM more recent than what was your system, but the new sticks must be retro-compatible.  PNY and MemoryMaster are good brands.
