Tables in the schema APEX_050000 not granted to the PUBLIC in the runtime environment

Hi all

I compare development and Runtime environment APEX_050000 property schema and subsidies.  I have no error in two newspaper plants

Select count (*) in the dba_tab_privs where owner = 'APEX_050000' and recipient = "PUBLIC";

In development, count = 270, at runtime, count = 109

Select count (*) in the dba_synonyms where owner = 'PUBLIC' and table_owner = 'APEX_050000. '

To = 293, runtime development County, County = 270

Is this a bug?  I'm running on DB 11.2.0.4

Any script available in APEX I can run to grant so many pictures?

Thank you, Dorothy

Dorothy salvation,

a single runtime system has intentionally less public synonyms and subsidies, because we do not install all the packages that are needed for a dev environment. But see wwv_flow.accept null off the coast of the element leader through the runtime environment to find the declaration of re - create these synonyms/grants.

    End users don't see that. You will see if you are connected to the development environment in the same browser session.

    Hello

    We have a production server to top "Runtime environment" installed 4.0.2. It wasn't a problem to import our application for the first time in SQLplus by running the sql export script. But when we try to update already installed the application in SQLplus with a new version, we get an error:

    OK, nevermind, I think I know what the problem is. I tried it in the sql workshop and that's why it worked for me.

    To do it (with the name of your workspace):

    DECLARE
    l_ws NUMBER: = apex_util.find_security_group_id('NAMEOFYOURWORKSPACE');
    BEGIN
    wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id (l_ws);

    Thank you

    It is true.  You need the TEN corresponding to the version of LabVIEW in which you have compiled your application.  I am looking for the exchange of ideas, because I think I've seen that idea before and he was shot, by NEITHER.

    have you ever tried to turn the logging/debugging in ADR? See https://cdivilly.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/configuring-logging-in-oracle-application-express-listener-2-0-1/

    (This will work also in ADR 3).

    When I started ADR mode autonomous and presents a page with a downloaded file (named kirschbaumhaus.txt), I see the following output in the console of ADR window. You see a similar output when you try with your single runtime system. I think that your question is not in the APEX (because we never see the file name), instead, it could be that ADR is not able to store the file in the WWV_FLOW_FILES.

  • Creating table in the schema has with the user B and granting permissions to the user C

    Hello, I have a problem fun - we have a large table which requires a batch to make millions of updates, and he needs to finish more quickly. It takes several hours as an update, but a select create table did the same thing in about a minute. Yay! Then we just delete the old table and rename the new table to the former, rebuild all the index and grant select/insert/update/delete permissions to another user who needs access... and there is the problem, Oracle said insufficient privs.

    We have A figure, which is the owner of the table, userid B who done all the stuff of application batch and userid C which performs inserts for a process of middleware. None of them are actual users, of course. We want that user B to do the ETG, rename, rebuild and re-grant of the authorisation of the index. But user B apparently cannot grant permissions on objects in the schema A to user C, even if B has created the table and has the role DBA (not ideal, I know)!

    What's really crazy is that there is no sense unique user b can grant permissions to user C, which is to:

    grant select any table USER c;
    grant insert any table USER c;
    grant update any table USER c;
    Grant delete any table USER c;

    It seems really perverse can create tables in diagram A and even grant C privs "whole table" that user B, but may not grant privs specifically on this object in the schema A, even with DBA privs. I must be missing something... right?

    Yes. By default, the stored procedures are stored procedures from DEFINER rights. If A is the owner of a stored procedure, this stored procedure can do whatever A enjoys the privileges to directly. If A grants B privileges RUN this stored procedure, when B calls the stored procedure, the procedure runs with the privileges.

    I agree point stew, however, re-creating objects in Oracle is generally a bad idea and a TRUNCATE with one insert direct-path, possibly combined with the deactivation and the rebuilding of the index would be more appropriate than a DEC. If you're going to stick with this Assignment, however, that really do in a stored procedure owned by A while B has no need to CREATE ANY TABLE.

  • Create the form on table in the different schema

    Hi all

    in APEX I am logged in as long as user APEX_USER and the table, I'm trying to access the site with the creation on Table Wizard form belongs to the user. I have granted all privileges on a given user APEX_USER table, the wizard allows me to choose this table in the list, but when I press the next button, I get the following error message:

    You do not have access to the schema that you import. Import failed.

    Contact your administrator for the application.

    Seems to me that something similar had been already discussed here, but still no response.

    V4.1 assistants when you use a different schema

    Please, what are the rights must have my APEX_USER to be able to create forms tables belonging to someone else?

    Thank you very much

    Pavel

    Edit: I did the same thing on my laptop (APEX 4.2.6.00.03) here and it works as expected. This error I get to work with APEX 4.2.3.00.08 (of course you should not necessarily be the cause, very likely, I don't have all of the necessary privileges) :-).

    Hi Mike,.

    Thanks again for your response. If the schema was not related to my workspace, I would yet be able to choose the other schema of the selection list.

    In fact, there seems to be a bug in the link in my message original (for example it is still not fixed in version 4.2.3), but fortunately I was able to find a workaround - I created a view with the same name and the same structure as the original table, and then I was able to generate the form with the wizard , finally I gave up the display and modification of processes page manually. So the solution is I have to force the DBA APEX upgraded to the current version :-).

  • creating views in a new scheme to access some rows of the tables in the source schema

    1. you can create the view in another schema (first granting of privileges to the schema of the view) without granting privileges of the schema of the source

    2. you probably want to create public synonyms for the view (s).  You can refer to the view as schema.view, but it's bulky

    3. I'm not sure management is easy, but the extra complexity shouldn't be too bad.  Write the documentation describing how everything works and the object involved.

    Another, more complicated, but more powerful option is to use row-level security also known as the virtual private database - if you have the license.  You create a profile for a table and a procedure to generate the WHERE clause to filter a query against the table and the columns defined in the profile.  Yet once, you need license to do this.

  • Code and the database tables in different schemas

    Hello
    My version of db: database Oracle 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

    I would like to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the following situation:
    We have only one request.
    The design of the db for this application has 44 paintings, of which 28 are base tables related by PK and FK relations. The other 16 are look upward and refer to tables that are not related to one.
    The team has decided to place the tables in a diagram 28 A and the other 16 in another schema B within the same database. (The reason for this is... because it's done in other projects to do it here too).
    Coming now to the code (stored procedures, functions, packages, etc.). Teams want to ask most of the code in the diagram B with the Ref 16 tables. (the reason being again the same).
    What are the advantages and disadvantages this?
    Please advice.

    PS:
    I have googled and find something on these lines:
    cons:
    o harder to manage
    o harder to upgrade
    o harder to patch
    o harder to maintain
    o causes your shared pool size to increase 1,000 times (shared sql goes down the tubes)
    o takes more space
    o queries against the dictionary will be impacted
    o latching on the shared pool goes WAY up (latching = locks = serialization device =
    slows you down)

    pros:
    o none that I can think of.

    From my experience, if you see natural divisions that give you smaller patterns, well contained, you should take advantage of them and start with separate schemas. If done correctly, it can greatly improve the maintainability of your application.

    Assume that your initial project will have 60 paintings and they might fall into three groups of 15, 20 and 25 tables respectively. There are also objects of code such as PL/SQL packages. Your choice is:
    -Use a single scheme of 60 paintings, suppose that with 100 objects in code.
    -Use 3 diagrams divided as described. The total code objects will probably be a little more that unique schema design, because they need to provide interfaces with others. So let's assume that schemas will have 30, 40 and 50 code objects each.

    Now, wait 3 years.

    The history of single-schema:
    -The single-schema is passed to 120 tables. There has been a corresponding increase in code, now more than 200 objects. But they are very complex. Over time, each piece of code will interact with the tables more and more and many other objects in code.
    -You (the architect or Manager) can not really apply any internal for this structure since no subsidy is required to add dependencies. Therefore, if you change a table there is a vast impact.
    -You can easily divide the responsibilities because everything affects everything else. You can't manage simultaneous development efforts because the impact widespread changes cause the same tables/components to be affected by multiple projects. If you have the project execution dependencies / as you have interdependencies technique/code.
    -You have a "big ball of mud" and it is very difficult to get out of this situation.

    Multi-schema history:
    -Each of the 3 original patterns has grown, but some more than others. A fourth was added a year ago, when there was a major expansion in a new district, as a result of "natural divisions.
    -On the inside of each of these schemas, it is always a challenge to impose internal structure. But those patterns more smaller and therefore more small problems.
    -Through schemes, subsidies are necessary to allow interaction, this is not a "wild west" where everyone can access everything (and introduce dependencies on everything). Teams to define interfaces (packages or the views that are specifically intended to be interface points) where the interactions with other scehmas are necessary.
    -If changes to a table are needed, the impact can be limited to the schema that contains naturally. You know that no one else has created dependencies at this table, because you were never issued grants on this.
    -The responsibility for these schemas was divided between 2 teams, each team having full responsibility for its 2 diagrams.
    -Teams can complete projects much more easily, even with a parallel development, because there is less than a "domino effect" with each change.

    Now, these benefits depend on "natural divisions that give you the diagrams smaller, well contained." If you make the wrong choice here, you will always have a mess. You design with the end in mind scenario.

  • foreign key referencing the table in different schema

    I create a foreign key for the table in the schema A a table to diagram B.

    I do that by grant references (column name) on the name of the table to username;

    is there any drawback/disadvantage in the creation of foreign keys referencing tables in another schema?

    Not as such, no.

    Generally, you want to check a second time when you are in this kind of situation that the two tables really belong in different schemas. It should be relatively rare to find a child table that belongs to a different schema than the parent. Sometimes, but it should be an exception, not the rule.

  • Create a schema of the user with the same name and tables within this scheme

    I am a newbie with Oracle.
    I installed my first Oracle 10 g database in my life.
    I need to create a user and a new schema with the same name.
    Subsequently, I need to create tables in this schema using the * isqlPlus.
    I got to create the user via the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console.
    I tried to create a schema through the same tool, but I have not found a possibility to do using GUI.
    Is it possible to do so through Oracle Enterprise Manager Console?
    What are the permissions the user must have access isqlPlus to create the tables in the schema?

    Thank you!!!

    Felipe

    A schema is just a collection of objects belonged to a particular user. If you do not need to create a separate schema: the schema is created automatically when you create the user.

    To connect to the database, a user must CREATE SESSION privilege. To create a table, the user has the CREATE TABLE privilege and should be given a quota on any tablespace will be created in the table. If you don't care management quota or limit the storage space that a user can create tables, you can grant the user the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE privilege. If you care the management of quota, you must run commands like

    ALTER USER <>
      QUOTA <>
      ON <>

    for each tablespace for the user to be able to use.

  • Build the name of guard of the table of the last element, but not the others. Workaround solution?

    Hello

    Sorry if this has been posted before, I did the search first, but can't find anything.

    Problem is that I have two configurations which are identical and must be ordered by a single vi. Given that they are the same, they are configured with the same sets of parameters so I decided to create a cluster of these and then build an array of clusters. In this way I need to use only a thread and if I need a given parameter I can get it easily from here (or so I thought) and also because I need to see if anything changes I can compare a thread instead of each of the parameters.

    The gui has the list of parameters, then in the block diagram I group them appropiately, using "Bundle name" and then each bundle in a table by using "build the table. Problem is when I have the index in the array for the first place of the configuration and usage to unbundle the parameters I need, using "ungroup by name" (although if I use "Unbundle" the same thing happens) and lo and behol, the output names come from the configuration of the second, not the first.

    Here's the curious thing, though, even if the names are all wrong, that the values are correct. I could live with that, but it's more boring it will be another very difficult user to understand the schema more this is just a proof of principle to test with two, eventually there will be eight or more and who's going to get really confusing.

    Is there a way to get around this? Even if it is to change the names after unbundling.

    Check the attached vi to see what I mean.

    I think you forget an important point on the tables.  The only thing that may be different between each element of a table is its value.  The elements in the array must all share the same properties.  This would therefore include the names of the different elements that make up the cluster that is a table element.

    It seems that the last group that builds in the table is the one that defines the names of the items that are in the element of the cluster.  You must give all elements of the array with the same name within the cluster.  Or use a cluster of clusters rather than a table of cluster to create your data structure.

  • Move the table in same tablespace is not reorganize the data

    Hello.

    I am facing a problem that I have not used to have.  First of all, a description of our envorinnement:

    We have a few large tables partitioned and performance optimization, our ETLs use bluk, add notes, parallelism and so on.  This create several holes of unused space in tablespaces/data files as well a kind of leak of space on our drives.

    A complete correction would re-create the tablespaces move everything is of opposes another.  It would be impratical, because there are about 15 who are top of 100 GB; the time and effort to recreate everything is not affordable for the Business.

    Instead, we have a single proc that comes to calculate the actual amount of used space (converted to blocks) and makes a move of all objects above this block_id.  Just after this operation, there is a dynamic shrink based on the new HWM (given that the objects have been moved) on the data file freeing disk space.  As we have a datafile by tablespace and a tablespace by schema, we would like to keep this body, if we make a single movement for objects, like 'ALTER TABLE' | owner: '. ' || nom_segment | "MOVE; "(the complete query works with all types of data such as partitions of table objects, the index partitions and the subpartions).  This will move the object in the same space for the first freespace on the tables and free up space at the end of the file to shrink.  In theory.

    This unique proc used to work properly.  In a 650 GB GB 530 tablespace in use moving about 20 that Go (the amount of data beyond the HWM 530 GB) is simpler than to create a new file/TBS and the displacement of 20 GB is faster than Go 530.

    But suddenly things changed when some TBS refused to be narrowed.  What I found out: the command move doesn't fail, it works very well and Oracle really moves the object.  But for reasons that I don't know, he's not moving it at the beginning of the file, it keeps the object at the end.  So the da calculates the new HWM, but because some objects that were in the tail of the queue, the shrink is done with a very high HWM, if no real space is reclaimed.

    So, the main question: How does the ALTER TABLE FOO MOVE really works?  I thought that it would be always to move the object to the beginning of the file thus reorganize, but I analyzed the last objects that gave me this problem (block_id before and after the move, compared to block_ids empty and everything) and actually, I see that they were moved at the end of the file, although there is enough space to accommodate initially.

    Okay, I think I found the problem.  Before that I just pulled the script as posted, but then I had the good idea to improve its performance with parallelism, so I added:

    ALTER SESSION FORCE PARALLEL QUERY 16 PARALLELS;

    ALTER SESSION FORCE PARALLEL DDL PARALLEL 16;

    ALTER SESSION FORCE PARALLEL DML PARALLEL 16;

    Returning to prallel not running, that I could reuse the freespace on the beginning of the file, and then narrow it down.

    Obviously, each writing data in parallel mode reuse freespace, I just forgot that a TABLE ALTER MOVE is also a data write operation.  I fell a bit ridiculous, caught in the same trap that I was trying hard.

    Thank you all for the comments and advice.
