Tables InDesign add space between lines of text

I'm working on a series of documents that use tables for some elements of the text as a calendar with columns for date, day of the week and event. All the cell borders are reset so that the text just looks like tabulated text. The problem that I am running is that the table seems to add about two points of the vertical space between the table and the text above it. Documents are designed without a baseline grid, so I can't simply lock paragraph styles to the grid, but we do not want that the spacing between the different styles of title and other text to be consistent. A table InDesign has some kind of hidden vertical dimension, or am I missing some added space that I should be able to remove? All cells are sized to match the direction of the paragraph style of the text they contain and any space before or after you have added as an insert in the cell, but for some reason any seems to be about two points of extra space at the top of the table (between the table and the text non-table above).

Sounds like the Table Options > Table Setup > Table spacing.

Hi thanks to everyone for their contribution. I finally solved the problem thanks to a previous post. "Murray" posted this info and it worked like a charm.

Open the page in DW. View the CSS with WINDOW Panel | CSS styles, click
Click the new CSS rule at the bottom of the unified CSS panel, click
the Middle option (Tag) button, enter "p" (without the quotes) in the tag: field,.
Click this radio button at the bottom of the document, and then click OK.

The margins are styles of box model, so select the category box and in the
Margin field (you can leave the check box selected), enter a zero. Click OK,
and you have created a rule of CSS stylesheet on the page that should look like

At the present time when you print a document and I press 'enter' and the new line is automatically double-spaced. I want to make single spaced. How to make the adjustment. I have Windows 7.

I want the spacing between each of these lines of smaller text in other programs that I would cheat by making the font between the groups of 4 or 8 size text size. I can't do it in Indesign? Is there another way to do this? Thank you!

Spacing between lines is controlled by the 'leader '. If you do not set something else, the 'automatic' deafult, spacing is 120% of the size, as in Word, but you can set any fixed amaount you like, or you can change the percentage of 'Auto' in the settings of Justificatin for paragraph or the paragraph style. Extra space between paragraphs is added correctly by adding "Space before" or "Space after" to a paragraph, not pressing Enter to make a blank line and by adjusting the size of this line.

Dropbox for bookmarks or downloads of the navigation bar adds space between the navigation bar and bar bookmarks.

When I press the button edit bookmark or download the toolbar for navigation that a line of space appears between the navigation bar and the bookmarks toolbar. This problem is corrected when I start Firefox in safe mode, but not when I boot normally and disable all addons. Please tell us how to solve this problem. If it is always static (that is, you know exactly the tag) you can treat it as alternative text. I suggest you add an id to the tag so there is no confusion as

V9 Acrobat JavaScript Alert Box - possible to add space or line break after each element of the array?

I have a Document level Javascript used to identify empty mandatory fields and fires on shares of paper, print and save. The script identifies the required fields empty, counties and outputs of an alert box indicating the number of required fields empty and lists the name of the ToolTip fields. The script identifies the required fields with an asterisk at the end of each balloon.
Is my question possible to add a space or a line break after the decimal point for each item?

The required property is very easy to use. It's just a Boolean (true/false) value, then you can use it like this in your code. Instead of this line:

Space between the 2 tables for a recomposable epub

For a recomposable epub, which is the best way to add space between the 2 tables? Seen in an epub Viewer, tables have no space and are superimposed.

I cut and paste tables as objects embedded, so they have a given paragraph style and you can use the functionality of the space before and after. Let's see if someone comes up with a different idea.

Edit: Have you tried with space before and after the table Options > Table spacing? It is a raw sample of an .epub by using this feature.

Directly edit the output of Muse is virtually always a bad idea. At the very least, it will create a very heavy workflow because the Muse will overwrite your changes each time you re-export (export, download, publish, preview).

It depends exactly what visual effect you want to achieve, but you probably need to just select the Accordion widget and use the spacing Panel to adjust the value of vertical gutter.

Space between paragraphs

For a long time, I used InDesign CS4 and am wondering if there is a solution to my question?
I started a digital book where I'm using 14pt Garamond first Pro Medium with a line spacing of 16.
Under certain conditions, I would double 'Enter' between the two paragraphs, but space is big!
Reduce the space between two paragraphs?
Please let me know and you please tel me how to proceed.

You do not put your mouse between two paragraphs. You select one of the paragraphs (one above or below), and you use the attribute space above or below the space. It is actually very similar to Microsoft Word.

Here are some pictures. Select a paragraph. Create attributes for the size of the police, conducting (what you call "line spacing"), perhaps a withdrawal of first line. In the paragraph Styles Panel, choose new paragraph Style. I called mine exemplary body.

To add space between paragraphs, go in the indents and spacing Panel (left). Set the value of the space below as shown below:

I use picas and points (by default to the United States), but it would be the same if you were specifying millimeters or centimeters.

I tried to set the default value for MS Office 2007 VISTA to SPACE SIMPLE and checked the box where it says "don't add space between paragraphs of the same style". I click on default and the window just to say that I'm changing things so that it's the setting by default, but IT NEVER SETS THE DEFAULT. This is the engine we all in the Office of CRAZY! Easiest way to add spaces

I tried to understand this for about 30 minutes, but I'm not a programmer by any means... On one page, I have agent_code which is 5 characters all together... On another page, I need to divide 2 characters in a box and 3 in another... Because of the content on the page that I have to hold the data typed, I need to add spaces... So, if I typed in X1A43 in the agent_code area... I need to go out as a 'X 1' and '3 4'
I have a job bootleg autour (literally do 5 outlet boxes and slice values), but I'm trying to learn how to better understand this.

Unformattable Indesign text - how to remove the spaces between paragraphs?

I have a 95 page indesign document. I have a few unwanted spaces between paragraphs. I could not get rid of these spaces. I tried to replace the formatting, using the window styles to paragraph, but in this case indesign does not yet recognize the formatting. I put paragraphs in form to 0P0 before and after paragraphs, and yet space remains between some paragraphs. I'm going crazy!
The problem lies in the text imported into strange formatt, but that was five years ago and I don't even have access to the original text to try to import once more. Perhaps because it is a document to Indesign c5 and c6 now I use?

After checking the object applied to blocks of text style: text frame JWK it shows under text frame General Options/Vertical Justification/Align/Justify (Peter Spier mentioned above about this possibility). I would put this Align/Top. Also when you changed the paragraph to align on the grid he left some gaps on some pages. I have put that back in would line up on the starting grid. There will be a reshuffle of the text when you do. To check if everything looks as it should. Make a copy of the file and make your changes there just in case, and let us know how it goes.
