tablespace Temp after restoration

Hello
I have restored a database from production in Dev, both are held over 10 gr 2 under Unix. After the restoration, I do not see the temp tablespace when I query v$ tempfile or dba_temp_files. But when I ask dba_tablespaces I see tablespace temp. Can someone tell me why?
Thank you

Hi, I've successfully restored from a coldbackup on solaris. (oracle 9.2)
I can connect to databases using toad, query the database, but when I try to take an export or something I got the error

When I did the restore, I simply rename the data files and redo logs.
But I was not rename the TEMP data file, as you can rename it with a command 'alter database rename file... ". »
    That's the problem!

I plan to create a new default temp. tablespace and simply do it by default and a drop. but it does not work!

    I tried to run:

    CREATE a TABLESPACE TEMPORARY TMP4 TEMPFILE ' / oracleAS/TPRS/oradata/TPRS/temp4.dbf' SIZE 5 M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 1 M MAXSIZE unlimited
    EXTENT MANAGEMENT UNIFORM LOCAL 1 M SIZE;

    create tablespace temp01 temporary tempfile ' / oracleAS/TPRS/oradata/TPRS/temp01.dbf' size 100M;

but they all hang! I wait, but nothing happens! (and the alert log will not connect anything too)

Finally, I tried to drop the default tablespace and I couldn't let it go as I thought. (ORA-12906: cannot remove the temporary tablespace default)
    )

So, im stuck and I think I should RENAME the data file for the temporary tablespace. How can I do this?

  • Tablespace TEMP wash after system reboot

I have problem with tablespace TEMP blocked about 12 g. I does not change, no matter what is happening on the system.

I guess the TEMP tablespace is to store temporary data but, even after I database is arrested and put into service these 12 G are still there.

    Any idea?

This isn't a bug, but the expected behavior. Segments in temporary tablespaces are not erased, but ready to be crushed by the new temporary data. Only solution is set as temporary tablespace default and create a new temporary tablespace. Later, you can remove the old TEMP.

  • UNDOTABLESPACE and TABLESPACE TEMP in cold or hot backup database

    Hello

I have a BACKUP, including logs generated after the backup archive. What is the use of the UNDOTABLESPACE and TABLESPACE TEMP datafile data file backup? When it is used?

    Kind regards

    007

    >
I have the archives which have all entries are committed in it. Undoinformation is necessary for the restoration and recovery of the database? Can u explain more clearly?
    >

The archives are as congested entries of redo logs. And the redo logs contain all changes to the database. Information cancellation will be there in the segments of cancellation that there can be some uncommitted transactions active in the segments of cancellation. Cancellation information is necessary to put the database in a consistent state. It is one of very important storage similar to the control file and system tablespace to bring a database

Edited: Imagine a scenario. You make a backup hot at 07:00. And there are a lot of transactions happening before and during hot backup. For ex, I run a massive update to a table. This will cause the recovery to write logs of recovery that will be eventually written to logs archived. Now, you finish the backup mode. But I have not validated or cancelled my transaction. Say to the reasoning, I roll back the transaction.

Now, you restore the backup. Do you think that my transaction will be in inconsistent state? Redo logs and archiveed newspapers had my transaction changes/redo entries. If you are not using undo in recovery segments, what will happen to my operation that I rolled back? Without cancel, half of my transaction (even if they were not truly committed) will be sitting in the database. This is where undo tablespace helps us in rolling back the transaction during your recovery. Remember, the cancellation information "peuvent" not all in recovery if you do not a complete database recovery. But Oracle should know that. If you need to undo tablespace in your backup set.

    I hope it's clear now

After some research, I found that query below is causing such huge operation & the invasion of the temporary space

    Select distinct s.serialnr, s.shipdate, s.cpc, s.country, s.description, s.soldt

    oparty, s.shiptoparty, s.ean_code, registration_crm_serial_n s.shipserialnr

    Join s Pascale registration_crm_serial_number s2 left s.serialnr = s2.shipseria

    NRL where (s2.serialnr =: 1 or s.serialnr =: 2) and s.shipserialnr is null

I have only 10 GB of space left on my mount point and may not increase any more space for the temporary table space.

    version of database-10 g

one question und an additional comment:

    1. is the separate necessary? This is the reason for sorting - and when I see a distinct, I always start to think if it is useful...

    2. an outer join with:

    left outer join t2 t1 (t1.col1 = t2.col1) where t2.col2 = 'something '.

is therefore more an outer join for the t2.col2 condition = 'something' deletes all attachments outside your result NULL values

Recently temp space was full and we have added 18 GB of temp tablespace, a few hours, they are also eaten.

The application team said that they do not modify any code. ADDM report suggests most of the recommendations related to SQL tuning only

Run query to check if it is used by any session below.

    Select sum (a.BYTES_USED) / 1024/1024 used_mb, sum (b.bytes) / 1024/1024 total_mb,

Hello. Then my sister bought this iPhone unused 6: 6-7 months ago. It was working properly until she changed the password and forgot it, we had to restore the iPhone via itunes 6. • Weird Time Machine question after restoration

    Hi all

First post here so go easy on me

I'll try and make this as brief as possible.

I've been running an iMac 27 "2010 end (still running Lion 10.7.5, but it is stable so I have not found the need to modernize) and NAS from Synology DS212j with TB 2 * 3 disks for the last 3 years. I've set up time service Machine through DSM on the Synology with a quota of 1 200 GB for my iMac which worked perfectly while all the time, during which I restored the weird file without problem.

Recently, for a number of reasons, I felt the need to update the OS of El Capitan to provide specific features that only there, so I made sure that my last backup was not serious and went through the upgrade process. It took a while but seems fine, but in the end, I became artifacts of the screen during the exchange between the office computers and for the worse, completely locked Mail machine as soon as you have clicked on an email. A lot of research on Google and all the patches applied but no joy, I decided to restore Lion and watch a clean install of El Crappo thereafter.

At through the process of full restoration without problem and he has restored from the DS212j without a single question (took about 14 hours but again, it worked) and my Mac was back as if nothing ever happened. Happy days!

Shortly after that, although the problem started with Time Machine backups do not tell me that there is not enough space on the destination to save my machine...

    1. I look into my quota on the NAS (the bit you set to ensure that backups are not the entire disk) and it tells me that there are 820 used GB which I guess is my backups Time Machine original that nothing should have changed on the NAS.

    2. I don't seem to be able to see the Time Capsule shared queue Station disk even after display in shared folders, it should he appear?

    3. I unhid it and he could ride through cmd & k and using smb / / nom_lecteur/Time Capsule so I can now see the volume in the Finder.

    4. I can see there are 2 * sparsebundle files, one for my iMac and the other for Macbook Air my wife. The file for mine displays a last updated date/time of a few minutes ago, but no size of file. The woman shows well, last time/date and file size (he stayed very well throughout this btw).

    5. when I enter Time Machine on the iMac all my historical incremental backups have disappeared and the only backup who shows also available is the date to which I restored from, nothing before and obviously nothing after because there is no space.

I have not a clue what going on here, but it seems to me like it after restoring my sparsebundle file (which is always on the NAS and must be intact) is there, but for some reason the iMac cannot see/index / register or see one of the backups that are contained in.

Apple support tried to help but actually said that they don't support anything other than an official time Capsule and Synology must implement the Time Machine in a different way because he could not find the sparesebundle file, only the tf volume content when it is mounted by trying to start the backup.  From what I read and checked the forums of Synology and the sheets, they don't do anything outside the norm with regard to the Time Machine application, it's literally just a network volume that stores the sparesebundle in the same Apple so designed, then why on Earth after restoring my iMac do not see the content of this sparsebundle file , and why it consumes disk space?

So, what I'm looking for help, is this (or questions):

    A. How do I look inside the time Capsule (this is what I call the Time Machine shared disk) to see how many files is there and if there is a GB 820 that contains all the data from my legacy?

    B. someone at - it an idea how the iMac see and recognize the original file should be here?

    C. If I were to remove the rare bundle that I peut see, will that potentially be old and will be that free space that is held open and allow me to perform a full backup from scratch?

    D. If C is not the original file remains hidden, no idea how I can find...?

    E. do I have other options that you can think of...?

Sorry, that was supposed to be brief, but I wanted to make sure I had all the info there to allow people to understand what has happened and what I did to try to resolve so far.

    Thanks in advance

    See you soon

Restoring to factory settings formats the disc, and which erases
everything what he. You probably get something new, but you can
try to do a search on the web for a recovery program that unformats the reader
    like here: http://www.easeus.com/resource/unformat.htm

If you unformat the drive successfully and can recover lost files
back, the first thing you should do copy on an external
(CD, DVD, USB sticks, external hard drives, etc.).
    Two other points/questions:

    1. why restore you to the factory settings? This is usually the worst
approach to solve a problem, there's a lot of extra long hard
work and often leads to problems of its own (as it did here).

    2. I assume you have no backup on external media from your
photos of important files etc. In this case. you played with
the fire. You can read this article on the backup that I wrote:
