Tabs are saved during an update?

I had sessions lost during previous tabs/navigation updates. When new updates come along I look thru FAQ etc to see if they will be kept. I can never find anything on it, so I never update. Well, it isn't true. FF invariably falls down and trashes the session. This is when I know I can be updated without losing any unnecessarily longer. Now, I'm bothering to ask if my tabs will be saved. Improved restore is available. Yay!

I also would ask: (I know it's too much for a single presentation but I had these questions also)
-That it be put in the FAQ.
-How to restore a session? I found and followed the instructions to get and install a session.something file but it didn't work.
-If I do this, they will add to my tabs, or they'll replace them. I wish I could add them. I found several files of session.
-Manage the tabs there's so many tabs. But he by when I finally loaded the page. It would be wonderful if the last session was available to restore since the restoration fails often enough.
-Can we use our email as login? I have asked questions before, but can't remember the connections. FF does not remember that he has crashed and burned several times.
-Can we get emails when our questions are answered. Forums can be a natural thing for developers. I would love to code, and use of forum can become natural for me then. But now I do not all forums regularly for anything whatsoever, or even often enough to be called occasionally. So, I can easily miss a response.

Perhaps this was changed because it has been ages since the last one, I asked for help.

Thank you

Hello

Unless you run in private browsing mode, your session is always saved - including updated. If you have topic: House (or "Firefox Start Page") set as your homepage, the right button background "restore previous session" will open all your tabs and windows of your last session (less cookies of session if you have chosen to remove whenever Firefox is closed). If you have a different home page, you can always load your previous session by going to:

33 Firefox has several patches of security since the 30 version, so you should definitely update immediately. If you are worried about your labels, I think version 30 already includes the feature where you can right click on your tab bar and "bookmark all tabs" in a folder. If you find that your previous session is not saved and you are not running in private browsing mode, then when you restart Firefox, you can navigate to that folder in your bookmarks menu and "All open tabs". Please post if you are not running in incognito and find that Firefox remembers no sessions - we can help to understand what is happening and help you fix it.

I'm assuming you are asking about connecting to the forums - you can log in using your user name, and if you have trouble remembering usernames simply use the local part of your email address (the part 'aaa' to '[email protected]'), assuming it's not already taken. The login page also gives you the ability to send your username if you forgot, as well as steps to reset your password.

When you receive a response in the forums, it will send you by email, you don't need to provide your e-mail address in your message because it will attract only spam.

    Hey clunden,

Are you able to reproduce this problem with a new project, or have you seen the problem in a single file UIR?

It seems that something has been altered in the UIR file that kept the Panel to be registered.  I think that it is unlikely that this is a bug in CVI, but if you're able to reproduce the problem in a new project, please let me know.

  • Closure of several tabs and do not receive a warning but the tabs are saved even if its only one tab, it was fine yesterday. Firefox 5 btw

Yesterday it was working fine but what happened to idk

Firefox 4 and later versions Save the previous session automatically, so it is no longer need for the dialog box asking if you want to save the current session.

Use ' file > leave "or" Firefox > Exit "(Mac: ' Firefox > quit Firefox") If you want to restore multiple windows.

You can use ' history > restore previous Session ' to get the previous session at any time.

You may need to click the Firefox orange/gray button to see history.

There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.

  • 35.0.1 updated and now my tabs are empty and I can't customize toolbars. Help, please and thank you.

After the update, at the launch of Firefox, I can see the tabs, but the tabs are empty. I tried to remove preferences, uninstalling and do a fresh install and get the same result. I even tried to install the nightly build to see if it was a problem with 35 - problem was still there. I can also access the function 'customize' for the toolbars. I have several add ons, so one of them could be the problem?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, an add-on could cause that.

  • Windows 7 BSOD after accidental shutdown during the update

Stop computer accidentally during the update of windows. Now computer stuck in a loop of startup blue screen. Safe mode and windows recovery all lead to the blue screen. I don't have a recovery disk. What should I do?

    Hello

According to the description of the problem, your computer is stuck in blue screen loop. So, I suggest you to create installation media by following the steps described in the article mentioned below and after that try to run automatic reapir.

Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)

After you create the Bootable USB key, change the boot priority and set it to USB. If you are unsure it is advisable to contact manufacturer FRO even. After changing the boot priority is trying to start your computer by using the bootable USB key.

To run the repair to start the Windows recovery environment (WinRE), follow these steps:

    • Insert the Windows installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    • When the message press any key to start from the CD or DVD is displayed, press a key.
    • If your PC does not automatically detect the media
    • When the computer reboots, read on screen for instructions that explain how to interrupt normal startup and access the basic input/output system (BIOS) configuration utility. Most PCs use the F2, F10, ESC or del key to start the configuration of the BIOS.
    • Looking for a tab in the BIOS configuration utility that is labeled boot order, The Options of Bootor Boot. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to go to the boot order, and then press ENTER.
    • Locate the flash USB, DVD or CD player (this could be called removable device) in the startup list. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to move the drive to the top so that it appears first in the startup list. Press ENTER. The startup command sequence is now changed to boot from the flash drive, CD, DVD, or USB.
    • Press F10 to save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup utility. Select Yes in the confirmation window. The PC will restart.
    • Select a language, a time and a currency, a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
    • Click on repair your computer.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, select the drive of your Windows installation, and then click Next.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click on repair your computer.
    • Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

For more information about System Recovery Options, see What are the system recovery options in Windows?

For more information about the Startup Repair, see Startup Repair: frequently asked questions.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

  • All tabs are empty after session restore

After clicking on a link to a page that has opened in a new tab, all the tabs in the window of my browser no longer works correctly (i.e. I could not close them, make new tabs or go to the previous page), and the restoration of my session turned into 'new tab' with no way to access their previous content (the number of tabs is the same). See attached image for reference, the Firefox tab is only after session restore. The browser think that he restored the session correctly, as her 'restore previous session' option is greyed out.
Restoration of a backup version of my profile to one of two days folder there are just restores the history recorded, including, 'recently closed tabs' list had not returned to the backup version and shows the tabs that I closed earlier today. These tabs are functioning normally.

You can save session files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder to keep possible significant session data.

previous.js (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.js from previous session that was loaded successfully)
recovery.js (latest version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
recovery.bak (previous version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
upgrade.js-<build_id> (backup created during an upgrade of Firefox)

You can copy a file in the sessionstore-backup folder to the main profile and rename sessionstore.js file to replace the current file (make a backup of the current sessionstore.js).

The sessionstore.js file is created from recovery.js when you close Firefox and are removed and copied in previous.js when you start Firefox.

  • TB 31.5.0 Win 7 after the TAB key for the automatic update no longer creates new address line "write" (enter the done key) but I want the TAB key! Why this keep happening after

TB 31.5.0 Win 7 after the TAB key for the automatic update no longer creates new address line "write" (enter the done key) but I want the TAB key! Why is - this seems to happen after each automatic update? Cant we get 'option' to use the TAB key to navigate through the lines of address "write"?

TAB through the fields that exist. It is the function of the TAB.

Otherwise you could never use TAB to go out in a field for example: subject. It would create an indefinate number of fields and are unable to function as a TAB key.

TAB does not back to THE fields,
New crests to THE fields or donkey typing/selection enter/return address, you can use the selection of mouse click.

  • iPad froze during the update and may not exceed

Has obtained the new ipad and put in place.  Went do the last software update and it froze during the update process.  Blocked at the white screen with the apple logo.  Can not pass it and past 2 hours.  Tried to restore through itunes, but get the error that I need to enter my password which I can't because I'm stuck on the white screen.

    Hey there smbirchler,

Congratulations on your new iPad! Looks like you were updating the iOS version, the device froze, and now you can't pass the white Apple logo screen, even after you try to restore in iTunes. I know how happy I am when I get a new camera, so we'll work together on that, so you are able to enjoy your iPad mini.

We will have you try to use the device in Recovery Mode. Take a look at this article for how to do this:

  • The tabs are on the top, how to place under the bookmarks bar?

Just set Mozilla to update to the beta 29,0. My browser has been configured as follows:

    File, editing, display etc. are first;
then there's "home" button and the address bar.
    then bookmarks bar;
    and finally the tabs.

Now the tabs are at the top of the address bar and I can't move it to the bottom. I tried to get: config with browser.tabs.on Top but it does simply not at all.

I use the default skin for Firefox and I have no visual Add ons.

Running every night and Aurora versions have an interface Australis which seems different from the user interface in current versions of Firefox.

You can install the extension Classic theme restaurateur to restore some lost features, including the tabs on top.

  • The tabs are open not together

I recently got a new Windows 7 laptop and decided to use Firefox Sync to move everything related Firefox above. I think that all this, and I'll go through later do not forget to add my Greasemonkey scripts and elegant. Everything was going well... until I started to open new tabs. Each tab open in a new tab to the other end. The tabs are not stuck together. I checked my settings and everything seems in order. I can't understand what is wrong.

You can change a preference to open tabs

    1. at the end of all tabs open
    2. immediately after the active tab.

NOTE: There is also an option in Tab Mix Plus (which is listed in your Extensions) in the TabMixPlus Options events > new tabs. See TabMixPlus settings-> http://tmp.garyr.net/help/ (scroll down to the settings section)

    See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config

    • Type of topic: config in the URL bar and press the Enter key.
    • If you see warning, accept it (promise to be careful).
    • Filter = browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
    • Look at the column 'Value' (' false= open to end, real= open after the current tab "); Value = true is the default value.
    • Double-click this preference to switch the value from true to false and false to true
    • Restart Firefox (file > restart Firefox)
