  I have a TREE control populated on my front. I also use a structure of the event to follow 'Change of value' of the TREE.

  At certain times in my schedule I've will rename program some of the tags in the TREE by using the properties of cells and ActiveItem.Tag chain. When I do this the Visual TREE, is updating properly.

  My problem is, when I click on items renamed in the nodes of the TREE, OldVal, NewVal data if structure reflects the tag names before the change of name that was performed.

  You cannot change the tag of an element using property nodes; If you want to change a label, use the EditTreeItems.SetTag method.  Tag of the element and its content of the cell is independent and all tags must be unique (but the cell contents may be identical).  When you set the ActiveItemTag property you say LabVIEW cell reference, what should be the tag.

• Catalogue again pass PC but moved with the tree files metadata and tag

  I'll start at the beginning. Years ago I had PS elements 4 original and upgraded to PSE11 on the same computer and no problem. . at some point, we moved the files from a PC to a new PC. We knew on the displacement of PES in the catalogue and transfer of files. I guess I have relabelled and organized all the photos and was happy for years.

  Last month my husband used the utility PC mover 'link turn' PES 11 to a new PC by moving all the files. I then found the problem, because all my photos had no information and no tag and no tree tag on the screen.  As a precaution, I saved the metadata to all media and created a tree of xml on the old PC before tags it back up again. We were going to do the process of back-up/restore to the new PC, but when my husband was struggling to install Adobe PES 11 on the new PC he transferred somehow all my photos (12,000) and there they were with labels and information and all organized under their respective keywords.

  The problem is PSE11 created a new file (Bethpictures) with all the photos inside.

  Now it seems that we SO 3 separate files with these same pictures 12 000 each. I see all these folders on the left side of the page of the Organizer.

  (1) the original file from Windows

  (2) the old file from PC-bethalbums

  (3) new file of PC-bethpictures

  and XML file - tree of the tag

  so is it possible to remove redundancies and the tag tree file without any screwing or should I delete it all and make the catalog upward and restoration of the process. Can we put the Bethpicture file under bethalbums and remove duplicates? Or get rid of bethalbums (from old PC) and only has Beth photos (new files created by PSE)? Can I delete this file tree of xml tag or ultimately the removal of the tree of the tag on my page of Organizer PSE?

  Should I back up catalog now on the new PC? And then when I get a new PC in the future I can use the backup/restore process or one should always save metadata to file?

  OR should I leave him alone?

  You have layoffs after several restorations.

  Before you delete it, you should check which of these 'restorations' are the best.

  Each restoration produced a copy of your image tree and a catalog folder.

  When you open the organizer with one of the catalogues referring to these various restorations, you can consult:

  -where the pictures are stored (in the information on the right panel)

  -where the catalog folder is stored: Help menu > system information.

  If you are satisfied with a given restore session, at the locations above should not be deleted, the others can be deleted completely from the Explorer or Finder.

  Your catalog is probably not in the default location on C:, it may be in a different location. You can use Catalog Manager to move the catalog to the location by default if it is not already there.

  It would be a good thing. Registration of metadata to the files is a good and redundant way to be sure, but a healthy backup is sufficient.

• How to select items programmatically in a tree

  I'm looking to persist selection from the tree in my application (save when closing a file, load from the file to the opening), but I can't understand how programmatically select an item in a tree on the charge.  I would like to select the item and put it in evidence as is the usual behavior if you select using the mouse.

  I tried to write to the 'ActiveItemTag' property, but it does not work.  Any ideas?

  Try the "Value" property  The value of a tree control is the tag that is currently selected, setting the value of the appropriate tag tree is going to focus on this element.

  I plan to move to LR5 because my current workflow does not work effectively at all (Aperture 3 + PSE 9)

  My concern is this: I LOOOOOOVE the party organizer of the PSE so I feel that I will not be able to cope without a serious equivalent.

  I have read on this forum and understood somehow, it will be possible to keep my tags (keywords). Large.

  My question: is tagging images as easy as PSE9 LR5? I mean tags tree, select and apply several tags, etc..

  There is a lot of overlap between the Lightroom library Module and the Organizer in PSE. In my view, the use of tags to keywords in Lightroom and post-secondary studies are easy equivalently, with each software allowing roughly the same regarding the tags/keywords. In my opinion, the Lightroom library Module has more features than the PSE Organizer and fewer bugs.

• Problems with the removal of the tags

  PES 10 I have a lot of imported key words.  In this list are the tags like USA, Florida, Arizona, Utah, etc.  It is quite easy to drag Utah for a little less USA. I thought that I could then do each State, as a subcategory of the USA.  But when I try this I think that Utah is displayed at the bottom of the list is imported and not less USA as I expected.  What happens OK or not?  I would be able to achieve a tree of tag which if we took it even down another step will be able to see from the USA on the top branch, States like Utah on a branch down & then Salt Lake City on the branch?

  I expect to be able to use the tree of the tag as a way to sort of zoom in. So I would have the options to see all the pictures at the country, State or city level.

  Thanks for the reply.  Because most of my tags were just imported that they were just in alphabetical order.  Some of them are really places & others are really the people or events...

  What I was able to make sense was to create new tags for a State to declare Utah. Then, I select in list of tags imported Utah who already has his tag of Utah.  Then I select all the images of Utah & drag each of them in the new tag in place of Utah.  It means that I have Utah tags on the photos twice (once as any & once as a place).  While images are always selected, then remove the tag imported from Utah.  I then find myself with the correct tags on the photos that are well placed in the tag tree.

• expandItem super weird behavior

  Well, now it'll be strain some of you:
  
  I have a tree. Simple, right? So far, Yes. BUT I want to update the dataProvider of the tree when I press a button. Now the difficult thing is that when I update the dataProvider data comes back and he could be in a different order and records (branches) and nodes (leaves) will not be in the same position as before index.

The good news is that is not totally off the mark because he puts at least this weird folder inside the folder whose expandItems is actually supposed to open.

  So, I thought about it all now (finally).

  I write (once again) the answer so that anyone trying such a feat in the future will not have to go through what I went through.

  It's all in one (SINGLE - well, kinda simple) line of code. It must be longer we had to find a way to do something that actually had a line of code! Well, it's here:

  Wow! It's as simple as that. The key lies in the '... ' descriptor (descending). E4X is actually pretty cool when you start to get the hang of it.

  Talk about a learning curve, it's probably best classified as learning 'right angle '. I'm glad that I took the time, I got to understand that, because I learned a LOT on the way.

  I have a tree ADF that will have a few Groups (parent) and issues (child), it displays the content properly, now I have to add a button at the end of the page, so when I added a button on the page is shrunk and I see two bars vertical and horizontal scrolling for the part Questions and groups. but I want the content to be displayed correctly, and at the end the button should available.

  Before adding a status bar button, you will need to place a toolbar item.

  PanelCollection is a naming container. If you try to access your tree by ID, you need to add ID of panelCollection and: entry. As "tree1"-> "pc1:tree1".
  I think that panelCollection itself cant' break the queried data.

• The photo with searchable keywords tagging?

  Why is there no way to tag with keywords searchable photos? I have 37 000 + photos and none of them does not when I'm looking for them.

  I use various applications and sometimes I know I have the perfect picture to post/share/reference in mind and cannot, for the life of me, find it. In addition, some applications will choke when dealing with my scroll so many photos.

  "Faces" is fine, but I cannot find the "perfect willow tree' or"1949 Mercury hotrod"photo, that I took years.

  Please Apple - add a function for 'tag' my own pictures in my photo album so that I can search and find relevant pictures.

  Why nobody has thought of this? I will gladly accept a fee of 1 cent for each used tag and we'll call it square.

  You must define the number of the current column to 0 once at the beginning (before entering the loop).

  In LabVIEW 2010, I entered the data in row a tree with pragmatism control using the Add item and providing the child text table and the child tag for the line. When a row in the tree control is selected, I can get the line label in the Value property of the tree. But how do I access the data in the child text table when the line is selected? I can't seem to find a tree control property or method which will return data back.

  What I'm trying to do is: once a line in a tree is selected and a button is pressed, if the line tag is valid, I want to transfer all the data in row in another tree the same formatting. For this I need the data for the tree line and the line that was selected. I don't find a way to get access to these data of the line when it was composed in the tree.

  Can someone tell me how to access pragmatically the child text or row data in a tree control from a selected line in the tree? I have the label of the line, but how do I access data?

  Looking through numerous examples, I found how to do this using the properties ActiveItemRow and ActiveColNum, but I can't find these documented properties anywhere using LabVIEW. Even research through aid could not do anything about them.

  Where these important parameters are documented?

I filled all the attributes of a camera in this tree.  First coloumn contains the name of the attributes of the camera, second coloumn is their values. I want to use the value of the attribute 'image size' in my program to make the initial memory allocation.

  No, of course, you don't have to enter this advanced programming.

  The tree control is powerful enough and not always easy to deal with.

  To return to your original question, in order to be able to read a specific attribute of the tree in the example, you reference, here's what you can do:
