Taken USB3 support?
Hi all
I just get a Thinkpad T410 and I m wondering if it has a port USB3 - I m questioning because one of the ports is yellow - a color standartized used to identify a USB3 - other color is blue.
I tried to find in the specs, but all then say there 4-Port USB2 - but why only one port is yellow?
It s a T410 2522-CS8
Thanks in advance for your help.
Carlos Alves
Hi and welcome to the forum!
It's always on USB port, it loads the mobile phones and other devices even when the ThinkPad is in sleep or Hibernate mode. It does not have a USB 3.0 port, only series W have that.
I hope this helps.

Acer 6935G: taken max supported capacity of the HARD drive?
Hello
The original WD 320 GB died in my old Acer 6935 g, I bought WD7500BPKX 750 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 6.0 GB / s 2.5 "(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236561) for the replacement." But with this drive, the laptop started restarting after different periods of time. Question - is this ability to support? Googling the problem found that only 500 GB is taken in charge information. Maybe it is connected to the power consuming too, but I would just do not forget that the HARD disk controller is supported by this player.
Thanks in advance
I can tell you that we shipped this system with 120 GB of hard drives of 320.
The system chipset is Chipset Mobile Intel® GM975/PM975 Express.
Unfortunately, due to the age of the system, this is all the information I have.
I don't see that we have tested all additional hard drives in the system.

ESXi 4 Installable U1 + taken VMware supported SD cards?
I searched the Forum a bit (
and for example) and really have not found a good (or official VMware) answer the question of SD cards supported in versions installed ESXi user. My biggest concern is the support. Are the supported user installed SD card? For now, I'm setting up a new R710 with SD reader module internal and my support is through VMware and not Dell. I was told (by Vmware sales) that VMware does NOT support install ESXi SD card, unless it is installed through the OEM directly. But it seems strange. I have the Essentials, so I don't get taken in charge unless I paid $300 per incident anyway. But I want to just make sure that if I called VMware they cling on me because I use a SD boot ESXi. I really like installation on flash/SD because I think the management is far superior to the disk HARD local installs (as mentioned in previous posts). Unfortunately, now I do not know what to think about the support... There is no mention in the HCL of Flash cards or SD recommended or taken in charge. This seems to be a really horrible exclusion IMO since the ESXi 4 U1 install documentation refer to the HCL for Flash devices are supported.Seems like there is a lot of confusion on this issue from the perspective of support. Can someone clarify this once and for all the GOLD offer some guidelines that wanted to keep me supported by VMware? All I found was this article (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1010574) that references the USB flash devices. This kind of logic applies to the SD cards as well? I bought the kit SD from Dell (Dell's SD map - which seems to be a generic Kingston 1 GB). If someone can offer comments/insight I would really appreciate it. Thank you...
Hello
I was almost in your situation some time ago. In any case, I will share with you my thoughts. Maybe help you.
I was evaluation install ESXi 4.0 for free in some IBM M2 x 3550 servers in internal USB flash
As you say this KB is therefore clear: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1010574
Install esxi (built-in) USB is supported only if is done by the supplier of OEM (HP, Dell, IBM and Fujitsu-Siemens). Is also supported an ESXi installable install by the user by using the provider OEM USB flash devices supported (and local support for hard disks).
The statement above apply to the SD devices.
If I am mistaken, HP Dell not install the embedded version of esxi in an internal SD and is fully supported by vmware. Don't forget vmware has a agreement with all this OEM provider to fully support their esxi facilities incorporated.
For example, think about this hypothetical situation. If the full SD/USB support dies and your virtual environment is partially/fully down, it's a good idea to have a SD/USB backup to get up the infrastructure as quickly as possible. Is this not supported? I don't think so
In any case, if you want to be 100% sure, purchase the material supplier Server esxi embedded wirh installed and maybe get a backup supported (provider) SD
Hope this long answer helps you
Best wishes / Saludos.

RoyYes Thunderbird is still supported. However he is not released at the same pace it's Firefox, she follows the cycle security/stability for minor updates and Extended Support Release of emissions a major release coming out sept. The Thunderbird community doesn't have the means to have rapid versions like Firefox.

I would like to know the maximum ram supported for two laptop. On the HP page, it is not specified. They are the two 8 GB of ram (ddr3l for 15-ba006nl) and ddr4 for 15-ay008nl but the max ram supported for a future upgrade is not present. Maybe it is only 8 GB and can not be upgraded? Thank you.
Hello:
For the 15-ay008nl, Chapter 1, page 6 of the manual of the service provides information to upgrade memory.
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c05087748
Your laptop is a 6th gen core processor, so the max is 2 x 8 GB.
For the 15-ba006nl, Chapter 1, pages 2 and 3 of the maintenance manual provides memory upgrade information.
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c05227786

I intend to buy a LCD for my editing work.
My laptop is R630-13F.I was wondering if I get the LCD high resolution (2560 x 1440), my phone would support such screen? Thank you very much.
Tim
Hello
The external screen resolution depends on the graphics card and the external monitor.
As far as I know the Intel graphics chip that is used in this laptop is capable of managing the max 2048 x 1536 at 32-bit resolution2560 x 1440 appears to be too high

It is a forum of consumer to consumer.
Anyone not representing HP in the name of the company will answer all your questions here.
What I posted above, obviously the PC supports VT
There is a setting VT the Security menu. The default setting is DISABLED.
If nobody on the VT setting before the BIOS is locked, then you are flat out of luck.
Here is the service manual for your model.

Please refer to Chapter 3, page 18 for where the VT setting.

Is - all the MB can support?
In addition, windows reads as having all of the 3.5 GB

HP Pavilion e033tx-15 taken Maximum supported RAM
I intend to buy a 15-e033tx Pavilion. Main use would be for software development. Client and the server end development involving heavy stuff like Oracle 12 c and WebLogic. Also for casual games and movies. I would be grateful if someone could answer the following questions. I tried the net but found no reliable answers.
1. What is the maximum amount of memory supported? (he would support 12 GB?)
2. I've seen complaints on issues related to the use of the features of ATI dedicated graphics. Are there any known issues?
A quick response would be much appreciated.
It can take 16 gigabytes of RAM. And I would not be inaccurate to say there has been no problem with switchable graphics. Many people have bad especially after a Windows 8.1 update. I think this is generally a problem of the user, since the switchable graphics use is slightly higher than the capacity of the average user.
