If you with to avec pour executer run Manager task 'high' ('show processes from all users ' enabled), create a scheduled task that will 'Run with highest privileges' and turn to open a session.

  • Cannot start Explorer from the Task Manager shell, if another program is already specified as shell.

    Hey people.
The company that I work uses Windows XP to run some software owners. Our software is configured to run as nt\currentversion\winlogon\ HKLM\microsoft\windows shell shell. I tried setting the shell two our product and random software like messenger or just the C drive, and every time when you use "run" of the Task Manager to open the explorer.exe shell, my documents will be opened instead of other things.
It will open my documents instead of the shell until I have two close open windows, excluded the Task Manager and set the entrance to Shell back to "Explorer.exe".
This problem persists between the platforms, and I've tried everything I can think of.
    Any help will be great.

    Hello

Your Windows 7 is better suited for the public IT Pro on TechNet since your computer is on a domain network. You can follow the link to ask your question: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro

  • I see several duplicate processes appear in my task manager, both for the programs I use for my system.

I am a user of Windows Vista Premium Home Edition (64-bit) and I recently met a strange and frustrating problem:

Process/images in my task manager appear as duplicates, native processes on Windows for the process for other programs such as my web browser or the video card drivers.
Treatments that are be duplicated are as follows:
Chrome.exe * 32 - 2-3 process at the same time, currently a browser open with 3 tabs (Google Chrome)
Csrss.exe - 2 process, the values of different memory of 1820 and 2500 (Client Server Runtime Process)
nvvsvc.exe - 2 process, different values of 1556 and 2988 (Nvidia driver helper service, worm 191.07) memory
Pen_tablet.exe - 2 process, the values of different memory of 10112 and 1788 (service) Tablet for driver of consumer
Svchost.exe - This is listed in 12 different processes under different user names - 3 for the system, local 5 and 4 for network - all with the memory values (Windows Service host process)
taskeng.exe - 3 process, listed under different usernames of the system, premises and owner (Task Scheduler Engine)
I'm worried about this because I have recently updated my anti-virus and malware, however this problem is still present. I have no idea what that means or how to fix this and would appreciate any assistance that could be given.

    Hi Mohiten,

It is normal that you currently live. As the scan came clean, you should be good.

If you wish, you can try to run a scan online and check.

  • Management in Win7 startup programs?

I bought a new computer and it came with Win7 (from my old computer on Windows XP).  I'm still trying to learn and master the features.  A domain, I need advice-I have a number of programs that appears to run at startup and I need to know where to look for that turn.  I looked in the areas of program Options, but don't see anything.  In Windows XP, in control box "RUN", you had the MSCONFIG and Services.msc programs that you could go through all the startup programs.  Where is this same ability in Win7?  I don't see the "Run" command in the Start Menu?

    Thank you

    gumboman

You can use the serch window as the run command, or...

    Help & Support:

    That became the command run?

The run command no longer appears on the start menu in this version of Windows. The search box that appears in the start menu provides much of the same functionality as the command run. However, the command run is still available if you prefer to use. You can even add it to the start menu for easier access.

To add the run command to the start menu
Click to open the taskbar and Start Menu Properties.

Click the Start Menu tab, and then click Customize.

In the list of options on the start menu, select the command box run and then click OK. Run the command will appear on the right side of the start menu.

Tip: You can also access the command run by pressing the logo Windows + R key.
  • tab in the Task Manager startup is empty

I recently updated my Windows 7 to Windows 8 pro and everything works fine except that when I open the tab start Task Manager is all white

the other tabs work well, but it does not list the startup items. Could someone please tell me what to do to fill in the Startup tab.
    Thank you
    Robert

I had this problem too.  But I managed to solve it.

I had deleted empty folders in my Start menu.  Apparently, not to have a startup folder in the Start Menu causes new task manager not show startup items.  Re-create the startup folder empty in my Start Menu makes reappear the other startup items in the list for me.

So be sure that you have a start-up under Programs folder in your personal Startup menu (default "C:\Users\_username_\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup") both from all users (default "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup").

    Hope you also helps.

  • Iexplore.exe process still running in the Task Manager

I was see multiple iexplore.exe processes in the Task Manager when I'm not in IE, so to trouble shoot it I uninstalled IE, run several different scans/squared (which found nothing) and iexplore.exe is still appear in the Task Manager. I guess that it is some sort of virus since I uninstalled IE and it is always showing to run. No idea how to do the trick of it? I am running XP.

IF IE 8 was present in the control panel > add or remove programs, then when you have uninstalled it from there, you have restored the previous version of Internet Explorer, in other words, IE 7.

The best way to confirm this is to start IE and then click Help > topic.

There is malware that disguises itself as iexplore.exe.  If you see iexplore.exe or Iexplore.exe in msconfig or in the Task Manager after Windows startup, but you did manually start Internet Explorer, you probably don't have a problem.
What antivirus applications you scan with?

If you haven't already done so, I suggest to do the following:

Run a scan virus online with the eSet online scanner (may require a download if you are using a version of Internet Explorer)

Download, install, update and run MalwareBytes AntiMalware (free)

Download, install, update and run SUPERAntiSpyware

You can uninstall all the latter after their use, if you wish.

  • I lost my PC Task Manager.

I seem to have lost a little of my pc lately, that is to say, the Task Manager, and I used to have a small symbol of solute in bottom left of my screen which gave me information on start times when I started my pc

original title: I seem to have lost lately, a few things from my pc

Yes painter, this is due since you had the virus. Please check if you have loaded on your computer by searching the string to search for in C:\windows is TASKMAN.exe
Make sure that you have one in C:\windows and C:\windows\system32\
If you have one in dllcache, but not in windows and system32, then you can safely copy it from there.

Now your emblem, must have been taken out of its autorun entry. To do this, you open your program and in the settings to run again at startup.

You need to run a SFC/scannow with your cd of windows in your drive, if you have no taskman.exe on your system.

If taskman.exe is intact in all these places listed, go to autoruns, and check the image File Execution Options; This is the tab away an image. If your task manager is there another program is probably try to run when you try to start the Task Manager, and that the entry would be shown there.

If there is no entry there either then your shortcut of ctrl alt del combo has been hijacked. If please try running taskman or open it from its location in windows.

Here is a different and much more advanced and handy taskman called procexp.
It is also from sysinternals as tool of autorun.

  • Causing the Windows Task Manager to Internet problems?

When I open the Task Manager to change the priority of a program (change by normal normal CPU use above) it causes my ping in games to soar and I get huge lag spikes and possibly disconnect. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I had no such problem with Windows Vista.

    Hello

If you change the priority of any program in the Task Manager, performance of other programs will be hampered.

  • The task manager has started to appear without borders and will not go away, unless the computer is off.

When using the Ctrl-alt-delete option and the Manager tasks appears it seems without borders.  The task manager remains after the programs are all closed and will not go away, unless the computer is off.

It's called mode 'small footprint '.  Double-click anywhere on the border of the Task Manager window and you will get the Menu bar in the rear.

  • Slow computer and the number of processes in the Task Manager

My dad's computer runs very slow on start up, and when you try to shut down some programs it freezes or just takes its time.  When it freezes, I use the Task Manager to close the program, which usually works.  SE when I had to use Task Manager, I noticed that my father has 53 process running at a time.

Could it be slow down the computer and if so, what can I do about this problem?

You can search what process you use cpu on the Task Manager and stop the process.

    Under steps:

    1. right click on the taskbar.

    2. click on the Task Manager.

    3. click on the processes tab.

    4. double-click on the CPU.

5 is if "system idle process" is max.

    6. If it is not a right click and click on end process.

Note: what follows is to edit the registry if you are not comfortable editing the registry to ask help from someone who knows.

Most likely a damaged or corrupted registry entry. Click on start and type
regedit on the "Search" box and hit . Navigate to the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Click this key, and then search for the string "shell" in the right pane. Double
replace it until it clicks, content with only:

    Explorer.exe

Click ok, and then close the registry editor and restart.

Also check the "AutoRestartShell" string on the same key, it must have a value of 'Data' 0 x 00000001 (1) otherwise right click on the channel and click on 'Edit' and change the 'value data' to 1.

  • Outlook stops responding. The Task Manager is unable to stop it. Then, the Task Manager is not responding. What is the problem

My Dell 1720 runs on Windows Visate Home Premium. Sometimes, Outlook stops responding and will not recover. I launch the Task Manager to stop the program. He is unable to stop Outlook. After several attempts, the Task Manager is no longer in effect. Sometimes I get the message that Windows Explorer has stopped working. What is the problem please?
    George

    Hi George,.

3rd party applications and malware are often cause for this. Have you tried the clean boot such as suggested above (that isolates the background application that could cause the problem)? Also try to run a full scan with your antivirus.

  • Window Task Manager took control on the top edge off buttons.

A site I've come to attacked IE, causing a gel and a pop-up new stand asking, "Are you sure want to leave this window?"  I started the Task Manager to stop the program explore unresponsive.  Each attempt to close the Explorer spawned new iterations of this window.  Finally, after playing long enough type-a-mole with the program stop button, Explorer is released.  But now the Task Manager window has no reduction, resize, or out buttons in the top edge.  How can it be repaired?!
