TDMS file corruption when using FTP

I use FTP to transfer files a cRIO to computer TDMS.  The transfer looks like it works; However, when I try to open the crowd using TDMS files Viewer, I get an error indicating that the file in not a PDM standards.  That being said, I use Windows to FTP the same file to compare.  I use the PDM viewer to open this file very well... no problems.  Have any ideas?

Did you find the difference between the size of the TDMS files before and after the transfer? If so, maybe it's quite possible that the "transfer mode" software FTP questions, maybe you can try to use "binary" instead of "text" for fashion?

  • The decisive TDMS file size when running.

I have a request where the .tdms file can grow very quickly, due to the amount of stored data - 7 channels of data acquisition in 50 000 samples dry.

I want to determine when the file has reached about 2 GB and close the .tdms file and create a new one with a different/timestamp name.  I want to break these files due to portability problems.

It is, how to determine the size of the .tdms file?  When I try to give the Sub - VI "to get the size of the file" the .tdms, a GPIB controller file path must be in error of the charge occurs.  Also, the refnum of the tdms file is not the same as the file refnums, so the Subvi "get file pointer" will not accept the PDM refnums.

I could probably calculate somehow what is happening in the PDM file, but that seems to be a workaround and will not exact due to the header information.

You can't get the size directly from the refnum file, but you can probably still get the size another way. Use the file/directory information of the pallet of Advanced File i/o. It takes a path as input, not a refnum. This should give a specific semi file size value, although it will be possible that there is data to cache that has not yet been emptied to the file. Yet, when you talk about the file sizes in the range of 2 GB, it should be close.

It is roughly the same thing that I look in Windows Explorer as the TDMS file size expands as it is written.

  • vmghfs file corruption when file written by eclipse

    Hi all

I use 10 Workstation, host OS Ubuntu 12.04, guest OS Fedora 12.  I have a mount unique vmghfs expose a host such as a file system folder in the comments.  In the prompt, the latter appears in the fstab to comments like: .host: / vmhgfs/home/chrisb/source source defaults 0 0

When writing to a text file on the host in eclipse, I'm able to consistently reproduce a bug of file corruption from the point of view of the guest OS.  If I unzip the file, everything is fine.  If I do the smaller file (for example, the removal of some characters in a text file) size seems to change, but the content do NOT.  This problem does NOT occur when the file is modified in vim, but the effect seems to be the same in both cases on the host (the file seems properly changed on the host).  Deliver a "sync" on the host has also affect what sees the prompt.

    for example:

    Source language

    =====

    1234567890

    Edit on the host

I have tried editing the file even if it appears damaged on the guest.

What causes this, and how to prevent it short abandonment eclipse?

    Chris...

    Hi guys,.

It is a known problem, and is due to a Linux client caching of the changes that I made to fix a separate cached corruption bug.

I missed something when the client checks if the file has changed on both host and should purge the cache client side and read the contents of the file like new again.

There will be no question of what side host is in itself, it's really a problem with anyone editing the file from the side host, causing the client cache to be stale.

I'm looking to achieve this problem.

    Sorry for the headaches.

  • Audio file corrupts when I import it to the Prime Minister.

    Hello

I have an audio file recorded on a recorder in. MP3. It plays OK on the recorder and the Imac, but when I import to a project in PP CC 2015.4 there an audio from 1 sec it repeats. I can't yet make out is part of the original recording.

    Steps tried: -.

    1. I deleted the record off the coast of the Imac and re-imported to the coast of the recorder. It becomes correct when played on the Imac, but corrupts again when they are imported as mentioned above.

    2. I started a new project and imported the audio after going through step 1. and the same 1 second repetition happens.

    3. I tried to delete the original file on the Imac and create a new one in a different folder. Then important recording to him. He plays very well, but then again corrupts when imported to the Prime Minister.

Below is a screenshot in the first pro of the imported file

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you

Of course, I don't know what the settings were for the mp3 file, the compression and the frequency Hz... 44100, 48000, whatever... sometimes PrPro does not as well with MP3s as others. And it's sometimes better with other types of audio file.

  • Adding file names when using "combine the files supported in acrobat.

Adding names of files when using "combine the files supported in acrobat.

    Is this possible?

Either as a note at the bottom of each page or a note on the print?

Without having to write or copy and paste the names of files in the PDF by hand?

    As in "automatically"?

    What it is for:

I do guides step by step for some software for computer magazine.

I am taking screenshots of the software and they are sent to the art director as a bunch of .tif files to be used for layouts.

I need to be able to show him where to put the numbers (1,2,3 etc) for steps-by-step and where he can cut the screenshots.

I am therefore files .tif Guide to the artistic director. Using Acrobat 9 Pro I can easily combine all the .tif files into a PDF with the extension of the shell "Combine" supported files in acrobat.

And using the comment & markup tools, I can easily ad numbering, arrows, important areas and so on.

However, these guides often include a lot of screenshots, so it is important for the Artistic Director to be able to quickly identify each screenshot. And for that he needs the name of the original .tif file to follow the screenshot in the pdf. So that when printed out the pdf and made his page layouts, there no browse and compare a pile of screenshots without a name.

When you combine files in Acrobat format (in flat PDF rather than a portfolio), you will get bookmarks for each document referencing the original file name. If they are not displayed, click the button in the dialog box Options combine to turn them back on.

Since you're combining a series of pictures, you'll find yourself with a bookmark for each page - so the value seen initial of your PDF "bookmarks and page Panel" to file on the file > box properties dialog and you have close to what you want. Write the names of files in the footers is possible but requires script to extract the bookmark names and page numbers, then write a watermark on each page.

  • error message "file corrupted" when running full install - Installer normal no longer works.

I had problems displaying images/videos, so uninstalled so I could reinstall. Big mistake - since I did it, FF absolutely will not install. The normal installation. EXE (I use Windows 7) always gets about a millimeter to the left in the status bar of crossing of 'download' for 'installation '. I then tried the full installer in all 3 versions of the English language, which simply pop up a window saying "the file is corrupt" without explanation or options. Help, please. I work from home and I absolutely have to use FF as my browser for my work, and miss me an entire shift today because of it. Thank you!

    Try the FTP server:

You can also try to download Firefox via FTP:

Open a cmd.exe command line window and run these commands:

    ftp
    open ftp.mozilla.org
    username: anonymous
    password: anonymous
    cd pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US
    ls

lcd x:\ (drive letter of the USB drive or use a folder on the c drive)
    get "Firefox Setup 25.0.1.exe"

  • The behavior of copy (.png files) screen when using TextEdit and printing

I have long used the method to copy and paste texts and/or pictures to TextEdit and print files .rtf or .rtfd below:

I use the command-control-shift-4 and the cursor to select things and paste into TextEdit.

That stopped working in the Sierra.  I tried several methods (PDF format conversion, fall in Pages and Numbers, for example), but nothing worked: the Canon PIXMA MX922 printed on a white sheet and left the box of small characters with text "filter impossible."

There is no new printer driver on the Canon site; However, there is a new driver IJ Scan Utility and I downloaded it already after that installation of Sierra and the scanner works fine, as also directly print something (e.g. on the Web).

Now, after several days of testing and I was wondering, I tried this yesterday:

Instead of the above command, I used (which I do when I want to save it to the desktop) command + shift + 4.  I copied the file .png from office, dropped in the TextEdit, printed, and... IT WORKED.

Copy and leaving fall directly in the TextEdit and printing, is so not working, but let fall the same screenshot on the desktop and copy and paste into TextEdit and it print shops.

I noticed several other annoying problems to Sierra, some I've reported here (communities), some didn't.  Business-as-usual: first version of an upgrade is full of bugs, which 'disappear' in future versions, until a new update is made available, the loop continues, continues, and...

    He works here.

  • File corrupted when decompressin names or you to browse zip files/folders

I get filenames truncated in particular on most Japanese zip files trying to unzip them in Windows 8 (64-bit pro).

    • I tried other applications (7-zip, winrar, etc.)
    • I tried to make all the default program of programs at the above address for zip files
    • I tried to pass the locale (in Japanese of course) or use a version of applocale for windows 8.

The same zipfiles can be extracted without any problem on my old XP system (using 7 - zip and applocale), then the files are possible extract properly.
Observe also that it is not all the records that are affected, it is not necessarily all files in one archive. Goes the same for text in .txt files in the zip archive (some work, some don't).
I have no problem with folders or files with other Japanese names on the computer and zip archives, I do with works of Japanese text.
It is very irritating that this feature does not work with my new computer and I still use my old computer to unzip these files, then move them around to get them right.

I had this same problem.  The issue is that some software (especially Japanese) international still don't format their strings in Unicode internally.

So, when the file is saved, the file name is sent to the operating system by using JIS or Shift-JIS (in the case of the Japan).

So that Windows 8 correctly recognized character sets not latins non - UTF, you have to tell which character set to use.

    Here's how Windows 8:

Press START, type 'Control Panel' and then on enter.

Select "Clock, language and region" and then "change location".

This will open a dialog box, select the "administrative".

Click on the button that says 'Change the system locale', then select the language to use when a program cannot (or not use Unicode).

You need to restart your PC, but after that, you should be able to see Japanese names without problem.

    Hope that helps.

  • To recognize the file corrupted by using the API of framemaker framemaker

If I rename a book of framemaker as file FM and then I try to include this file as one component of another book, no pdf is generated during the recording of the book in pdf.

How can I be sure that a book file is not added as a component using the framemaker API (currently using fdk 6.0).

    Thank you

    ASHA Rayakar

    ASHA,

I think I understand now. Someone renamed the file... you just try to catch the error in your code, right?

I tried to reproduce this scenario, but in my experiences, FrameMaker was smart enough to know what type of file it was, regardless of the extension. So, here are just a few ideas...

-If the file is not actually "corrupt", you can use F_ApiGetObjectType() to find out if it is a FO_Book, FO_Doc or something else. If a document is corrupt, I don't know what this function may return.

-If the file is corrupt, I think you should be able to ask a sort of property that. For example, perhaps you could count the number of paragraph formats in the file. My guess is that a corrupted document will have far fewer that you expect to see, or not at all.

  • No PDF file created when used section break and no data in the XML group

I have this problem that Tim Dexter documented on a few years back...

    http://blogs.Oracle.com/XmlPublisher/output_formats/

"When you use @section in your model for orders,"for-each"or" each group"- (e.g. <?). for-each@section:...? >), then a vacuum/invalides PDF can be generated if the XML data file has no data for this foreach loop. »

That's my exact problem. Yet the instructions do not completely solve my problem. I add another section at the end of my RTF break and he gets the page to see... but I get an extra page at the end of all the populated xmls

Is it possible to delete this page?

    Hi Jason,
I would like to see your model and data.

You use @section and add condition to make the page without data.

Deleted file recovery can recover incomplete files, i.e. the part of these files may be missing.  Recover deleted files is much more reliable if recovery of a backup, instead of using recovery software.

These things depend on the operating system and the file system.

One thing, you can see: open one of these files damaged with a text editor, and then make sure that the constant % PDF is somewhere in the first 1024 bytes.

Such problems are usually an indication of a hardware problem somewhere. Maybe a hard disk failing, a bad memory, card reader or camera cable card. Probably, they look fine in the camera because the camera shows the JPEG preview which is part of the raw file.

Someone knows If you can use FTP, When you save , just Save the selected file and not all the images et CSS includes ...

What?  Can you please rephrase your question in order to understand what you're asking?

If you ask how a file on the remote site via FTP without FTPing any dependent files?  That the answer is Yes, you can do this by changing the SITE > dependent files: option in the PREFERENCES to enable the option "prompt on put/check-in."  The next time you download a file, you will be asked if you want to also download dependent files.  If you say NO and check the don't ask again option, then you will always simply load the file and not the dependents. You can change it back at any time by changing the preferences of this setting.
