Tecra A9 - 4 GB of RAM installed again, only 3 GB recognized
Hello
I have a Toshiba Tecra A9-SX9013 with 1 GB of installed RAM factory. I just bought and installed from Newegg, two sticks of Kingston 2 GB 200 PIN DDR2 memory RAM that I just installed on my laptop. The laptop will only recognize 3 GB as being installed on my system. I took the new memory back out and reinstalled it to make sure everything was connected.
Since it is grateful to 3 GB of memory installed, it is reading the two sticks. However, it is only to show that there is 3 GB installed. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2.
Any suggestions?
Hi xlr8.
This is normal on all PCs.
32-bit operating systems are limited to 3 GB because the / 3GB-> 4 GB address space is used by the system virtually map memory for devices such as the video card.
If you want to use all 4GB, you will need a 64-bit operating system.
Google 'limit of 3 GB 32-bit' for more information.

C55-A-19N satellite: 4 GB of RAM installed but only 2.39 is usable
Hello
I have Toshiba satellite A-C55-19N with Windows 7 32 bit. It has 4 GB of memory installed, but only 2.39 is usable.
BIOS is the latest.
I can't find the option to change anywhere in the system. My desktop with core i5 - 2500K can see 3.29 GB to 4 GB of RAM, why toshiba can not see?
32-bit systems (no matter if its Win 7) Win XP, Vista etc.) supports only 3.2 GB of RAM
It is the 32-bit boundary. The other small part (300 MB roundabout) is shared by the graphics card.
Therefore, the system displays only 2.39 GB RAM -

Hello. I have following first Pro CS5 on Windows. Can you advise me how do to re install again off my records without affecting any of my Premier Pro film please?
I ask Pro send the sequence of film through dynamic links in again so that I can burn the movie to a disc.
Still doesn't open, but the sequence did not arrive to Pro.
Last night the sequence came in again but took forever to transcribe, and I finally canceled the process as it appeared to get stuck and have not completely to writing on the disc.
This morning the sequence are not yet in still.
Very frustrating when I have a 4 hour movie I want to write to Bluray so I created now 4 separate sequences and try burning them to DVD in the chapters of 1 h.
Hope someone can help me with this. See you soon. Janice
Reinstall still will not affect your movies.
But I would like to make send to still and do the transcoding in the first use of the Media Encoder.
Use the Bluray H.264 preset for BluRay. For DVD use mpeg2 dvd preset and fields is higher.
In particular, I would make for DVD transcoding with first as in CS5 will still reverse fields.

64-bit with 4 GB of RAM installed; system does not boot
I bought and installed W7 64 bit so that I could use the full 4 G of RAM installed in the machine. Clean install after format but W7 would not move past the "Starting Windows" screen
Microsoft is absolutely useless as Acer support. Very disappointed in both.
So I started by disconnecting equipment: card reader. Try again. Nope. 2nd screen. Nope. Remove the piece of 1 G of RAM. There she goes. Now, I have everything set up and a few days later reinstall the 4 G of RAM. Still, no way in front of the window startup. Try changing on the sticks. No go.
So while Vista would go with the 4G installed, it wouldn't use it, W7 will not work with it. Max 3G. What gives?
I think it must be in the BIOS, but what? I also read that the removal of the video card and reinstall that after install the last piece of RAM will work, but I'm pretty skeptical.

As the title says I have problems with my computer laptop m6600 in me not saying there is no ram installed similarly when he y a. I even compatible ram bought new from dell in it with no message. I replaced the motherboard as well and I get the same question. Cat useless customer service from Dell has lost about 15 hours of my time without answering a single question. I just transferred until they tell me that they cannot help but due to the release of service guarantee still stupid dell site tells me that I am eligible for the cat after my service tag in. Dell has proved to be the worst customer service ever as everyone on the internet said. That gives a * if my warranty is out, I just need my answered queswtion so I can fix this piece of theNOTE from the ADMIN: profanity removed according to the TOU > myself. I don't want to talk to some Indian * on the phone who can not understand me well enough yet to help, "Hello this is Hamid, I'm really sorry for your frustration" like to come on dell you not dear ADMIN NOTE: blasphemy removed according to the TOU >. You sell an inferior product that usually always stop after that guarantee goes out and then hiring non-English speaking d bags do not help your loyal customers? I was buy alienware for years and I still owe the turds staring because dell is too incompetent to build things that do not break nor do they resolve problems when items are under warranty. That being said, someone tell me why my m6600 always tells me that I have no ram and fails to post even after using the right voltage and speed of ram from dell's and I changed the mobo out and the problem persists. According to dell if it was my card gfx or cpu causing no post then the error code would be different
After replacing the motherboard twice and then finally replacing the cpu, it starts, and is alive again. Therefore the CPU all the time despite the silent diagnostic lights dells telling me the opposite. Lesson of the day, do not buy dell and do not trust their diag lights to tell you what the problem is.

Since a few days, it takes more than 30 to 60 minutes to open Firefox on my laptop. I'm on Vista and have Anti Virus. I already tried to reset firefox, uninstalled and installed again. My version of firefox is 29. But nothing seems to help.
Can you please help in this regard, that I really like using Firefox, but because of this problem, I am forced to use other browsers.
Thank you
GerardIt is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission get full and unrestricted, access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
See:
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Hello
Do you get the BSOD during the BIOS update procedure?
Are you using the Windows operating system preinstalled Toshiba? or did you install your own system? If you have installed your system, then you should check that the VAP is installed as well.
Also, I found this info about the update to the BIOS:

+ At the end of this process, the computer will be restarted in order to update the EC. +

How can I get MS OneNote 2003 installed again?Hello
Unfortunately, your M40 was an OEM XP Home Edition and Onenote installation. This means that products are 'grouped' and you should have a set of recovery CDs or DVDs for you to restore the system in case of hard drive failure or system get damaged somehow.
Unless you have been provided with a separate recovery for Onenote CD then the only way you can restore is to completely restore the entire system OEM (including XP Home Edition).
Your other option is to buy your own copy of Microsoft, in which case you will have a non - OEM version that you can then install regardless of the operating system.

Re: Satellite Pro L300D - 11O 800 MHz RAM installed, only to 667 MHz
I recently bought a Satellite Pro L300D-11O, which has a single stick of 1 GB 800 MHz RAM installed. However this RAM work only at 667 MHz. I checked this in Linux and Windows Vista.
The laptop is announced as to have 800 MHz RAM on this page:
http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/JSP/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=UK&BV_UseBVCook ie = Yes & PRODUCT_ID = 1055796
The manual of the user who wrote:
"PC2-6400 memory module works as PC2-5300 speed the GL40 Express Chipset Express chipset/GL965"
I don't know what chipset I have, and it would be surprised that this would be the case that the above Web site explicitly states RAM 800 MHz.
Can someone tell me please?
Hello!
Now I'm a bit confused of Mr. I think you did search in the wrong user's manual because the Satellite L300D has no Intel chipset.
On the Toshiba site, you can download the manual for Satellite L300D:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online download user manualI think that your chipset only supports 667 MHz. normally the RAM always works on the highest speed that is supported by the chipset.
Check the specifications with Everest or PC Wizard 2008.Good bye

Why the system writes: installed 4 GB of ram, but usable only 3.6 GB of ram?

3.6 GB is a very good number - much higher than most people's.
All versions of Windows 32-bit client (not just XP/Vista/7/8) have a
Address 4 GB of space (64-bit versions can use much more). It's the
theoretical upper limit beyond which you cannot go.But you can't use the whole address space. Even if you have a
Address space of 4 GB, you can only use around 3. 1 GB of RAM (and as I
said, you do much better than that). This is because some of
This space is used by the hardware and is not available for the operation
system and applications. The amount you can
use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but can
range from as little as 2 GB to 3.5 GB. It's usually around
3. 1 GB.Note that the hardware is using the space, not the real address
The RAM itself. If you have a larger amount of RAM, the rest of the RAM
goes unused because there is no address to map space to. -

"If the corrupted hard drive will be the OS can be installed again"
If the hard drive has minimal corruption in localized areas, you can reinstall Windows. You will need to reformat the hard drive, however. When you get to step in the installation process where it formats the hard drive, do not choose "quick" format On the contrary, let him do a full format.

"When I download Brighthouses ' easy Gadget", it goes into the installation of the application, rolls 3/4 of the way and stops, which gives a message that it can not be installed. Try to install again and then inform the producer of the program '. Three different agents of brighthouse tried to fix this, but no one could. His attempts to install adobe air in the same time and that will end either. I had both programs (Adobe air) and easy Gadget installed for a year before losing them to a blue screen. Since then I have not been able to relocate. Does anyone know why? Driving me crazy.
