Tecra M7: Vista display driver (NVidia NVS110)

Hello!

I was wondering if someone else encounter the following issues, which I believe are linked to the display driver.

1. black screen after the release of the mode standby (no hibernation). The solution I found is to close and reopen the lid (assuming that you have not any operation assigned to closing the lid). But it's really "fun", this back when you are in tablet mode.

2. the other - that I just found-seems more serious. I can't get the external VGA connector to work. Even after setting up so I can see an office empty on the other monitor, just move any window on the desktop results in a mess on this screen (as synchronization signal is lost or something). And it is with a single monitor, while my other one does not recognize the signal at all.

Has ANYONE else try to use the external screen on Tecra M7 on Windows Vista (32-bit)?

The latest Vista driver available for this laptop is 98.13 version, while the latest ForceWare is 100,65 (stable since February). I found some info that the first problem I described is a known bug in the nvidia drivers, and it has BEEN fixed in this version. Unfortunently this driver package from NVidia does not support the NVS110M. When can we expect Toshiba to make the point?

I had the same problem with the external display. I solved it by downloading the latest version of the BIOS (v3.2) on Toshiba Canada website. It was a bit of a risk, as the model numbers are different, but I can say that it fixes this problem and I can now work with external monitors very well.

  • "display driver nvidia windows kernel mode driver version 310.64 not responding and has successfully recovered"

    I always get the following error message "display driver nvidia windows kernel mode driver version 310.64 stopped responding and has successfully recovered". It sometimes lets my screen refresh but often he kills to the video out all together and I have no choice but to hard restart my system. I did the thing to uninstall/reinstall Nvidia, Dell and Windows all with no success. I am running windows 7, graphics Nvidia Gforce GTS250 in a Dell XPS420. Any ideas out there are appreciated!

    Your Dell was origonally supplied with Vista, there is no win7 drivers available from Dell.

    All drivers obtained through windows Update are generic drivers.

    I also assume that its a Nvidia card you have purchased.

    Account these two elements that he may very well be an incompatibility with drivers problem, for which there is no resolution on the current hardware

  • Display driver hangs on the computer and the error message "display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."

    Original title: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 display driver has stopped working and recovered.

    Hiya,

    I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro, installed all of my usual applications etc..
    The problem I've encountered is maintaining display driver crashing. Or have waiting periods. The exact error message reads;
    "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."
    Until now it expires randomly even when the computer is idle, and more frequently when I watch videos online. Also, watch a clip full screen on some sites like YouTube is ok, but on others, it is very laggy (updated maybe once per second the image) and the sound is out of sync.
    I can't find a way to properly uninstall the graphics driver.

    At least yours is working semi... I have the GTS 450 (uses the same drivers) and the mine does not at all... Stuck with the regular game pilot integrated ATM and can not all games... Microsoft told me to wait a few weeks and for the reminder and Nvida said 10 ways to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for same. Hope someone with to get a fix for this soon.

    Hi guys,.
    Looks like this isn't just me.
    Just an update, that I can not confirm it as a solution, but I have not encountered any problem (a little screenlag aside) since the installation of the drivers beta. For me, the beta version of the driver is 310.33, R130. The only other change to my system updates Adobe Flash version packaged with Google Chrome to 11.4.31X to 11.4.402 to eliminate serious problems when you watch the video in full screen.

    New edition;

    If you still receive the error message, try the following steps;
    Has. try to perform a clean installation of the driver.
    Download the latest drivers for your graphics card. Run the downloaded file, and select "Custom Installation". In the next screen, you will see a checkbox or similar labeled "Clean Install".

    You can do so by visiting nVidia Driver Downloads (www.nvidia.com/Drivers). Automatically detect the right driver or download using the form. The best way in my opinion is to use the GeForce experience, who will do anything for you in two clicks and a reboot.
    B. close all other programs
    It is possible that the error was caused by too many programs that need to use the resources provided by the graphics card/chip. It is also possible that a certain program caused a conflict that pilots crashed.
    You can try closing some currently open programs one by one and see if the error persists, or restart your system with disabled startup programs and allow them one by one to find the culprit. If the error is too persistent to do the above, it would be easier to start in safe mode option.

    Is there any game or 3d application that works fine?

    I tried about 30 different versions, I tried official (failures even in vista will not work correctly it gives a driver error every minute) attempted to launch games I have.

    Even if it supports Vista it just doesn't work.
    With SLI enabled or not, it doesn't matter.
    I've updated the bios with the latest available from toshiba. It did not help.

    I searched i-net for info and tried different solutions to make the work of display driver. I have 500 MB display drivers lap2go with lot of Info for my nvidia card.

    I don't know what to do. I'll try to go for XP.

    Hello

    Maybe you n t need all new drivers to display, but you will need to simply change the SLI;

    See this article:

  • Satego X 200 - XP Display Driver (Nvidia Geforce 8600 M GT)

    Hello

    Finally, I managed to install XP on my 2. HDD - next to Vista (in order to get rid of Vista later).

    What I still need is a proper display driver, as Toshiba offers only one for ATI.

    I found lots of posts with similar topics in the www (laptopvideo2go, Nvidia, etc.), but no driver appropriate until now. NVIDIA does not directly support the Toshiba drivers.

    So I asked a Toshiba solution and mentioned that a beta driver might help as well since I don't need grafic performance on this machine (not 3d stuff and I will not play games here) simply work ;-).

    They responded very quickly and provided a link to an unsigned driver _Satellite_ X 200. Unfortunately this driver leads to the same result (similar to: "not supported hardware...") installation is finished').

    It would be great if someone had an idea

  • Need to go XP Display Driver Nvidia GeForce 7600 for Satellite P200-143

    Hello

    I started my P200 - 143 Toshiba Satellite Vista double. But I can't find the NVIDIA drivers on the site Web of Toshiba. I tried many downloads of the nvidia Web site, but no one has been installed properly resulting in the flicker of screen on XP.

    Kindly let me know the location of the driver to download the existing drivers from nvidia works perfectly or there is no particular sequence in which the drivers will be installed.

    Any quick response is highly requested, please.

    Kashi

    Sorry, buddy, but I don't quite understand you.
    You have P Satellite P200-143 with model number PSPBGE-xxxxxxEN.

    So what you need to do is to visit the download page for Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

    So what you need to do is to choose the right laptop model:

    Type of portable computer product
    Familly Satellite
    P series Satellite products
    Model 0 Satellite P200 (PSPBG)
    Model short No. PSPBGE
    Windows XP operating system
    Type display driver driver

    SEARCH

    Nvidia 8.4.0.0 display driver version will be listed as a result.
    I think that Toshiba has tested this driver and it should work properly. Of course, if you install the correct version of Windows XP Home (SP2 of Windows XP Home edition) and other things following the Instructions of facilities document.

    Good luck!

    Today, I got the dreaded blue screen.

    I did a system restore and got rid of the graphics drivers from Microsoft, removed from the NVidia graphic card from Device Manager and started with just the Microsoft drivers that are version 8.17.12.9619

    Having been well for an hour or two, I start to see the little sparkles (pixels) flashing on my screen.

    Since I have updated my OS, HP has almost nothing to help me to update, I hope someone can help me with some suggestions.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I could finally find a newer driver from NVidia and did install clean without having to install the 3D part that does not have the 8500GT and it was fine, so I guess I can say that the problem is solved.
