Telnet buffer issues

Modems are configured to him telemeter data to a LabView VI.  The LabView VI works as expected when cable to the instruments.  A modem and an internet connection now replace the electrician, so a reconfiguration of the VI was required using Telnet reads/writes instead of VISA reads/writes.  Initially there was some deformations associated with the configuration of the modem, but those who have been developed.  Pattern of backstory: I think I've isolated my question how do I use/configure Telnet Read.

My question: drop-outs of data and incomplete data packets.  I get 25 bytes of binary data per second, easiestly considered Hex when it broadcasts in.  A valid packet looks like this:

where 01 begins the sequence and 04 ends the sequence.  All the mess inbetween is useful for me but totally uninteresting to most sane people.  Attached are two examples of code.  The first, TelnetEx.vi, is a simple version of how use the Telnet Read.  When I use this Setup, I think I'm buffering 25 bytes of data, then end the line each time a hex04 is observed.  Too often, I receive packets that are not 25 bytes long, but end in hex04.  Moreover, I could not help gold '' normal' immediate' mode with the Telnet Read - I get some sent to all data packets.  (??)

So I thought if I could electrician a way to detect the package of 25 bytes of data in the buffer, then I would outwit the incomplete packets (an incomplete package causes false ears in my data as the VI is wired to look for data in a location particular byte in the data packet). An example of this attempt of poor quality is shown in TelnetEx.vi.  When I apply this filter, I don't get any data.  The filter is supposed to find hex01, then search for hex04, then count to see if they are 25 bytes apart and if they are, send these data to the rest of the VI because it's a package valid.

One last note: I've been tinkering with the VI and found that if I use the delay time at a sampling faster (10 Hz) that my instrument (instrument = 1 Hz) rate so less I delivered incomplete packets and sometimes there is a break which resembles an abandonment of data and then I get several packages at once.  It's probably a problem of connection/packet delivery, but maybe someone has seen this before and knows a good way to deal with?

Is the buffer of Telnet Read a FIFO?  Is there a more sophisticated method to check the validitiy of a packet of data that my attempt mutilated?

    Hello, I am writing a program that reads the serial port IR thermometer. Intermittently I get parity so many framing errors and can't explain why or find a way to remedy. All the parameters of the series were double checked and controlled. I don't get any errors when you use HyperTerminal yet, when I do test bed in MAX, I see these mistakes from time to time. I tried the suggestions of the knowledge base for these as presenting a delay between the Visa set up and read the Visa or flushing buffer issue before reading, but none worked. Any idea or ideas would be appreciated.

    In addition, while searching through discussions on parity and framing errors, I saw a when a user recommends the following: "use wait event triggered by the stop character and when the error occurs, I just deleted the error, empty the buffer (wait the next stop character) and reread." If that sounds like a good solution, how would I go about its implementation?

    I've attached a screenshot of my reading series loop so you can see what I'm doing. I do about the error code control timeout is.

    Given that you have activated the stop character, you should not use the bytes to the serial port. You shouldn't have to delay or any function buffer flush.

    PS, You also have to change the way your loop exits.

  • Netflix should sue sony

    Netflix should sue sony for blame it shit streaming on them, when in fact it's the sony/dvd player that does not... I have the sony bdps270 and I can, t watch netflix on it because it either freezes in loading or lets me watch about 2 minutes and then locks into place... something new is that this happens all the time now... at least three times this week I had to use my computer to look at who is on a wireless network, while the dvd is connected directly. You can blame it on my ISP and netflix, but why I can watch on my pc and it loads in like 5 seconds without stopping or reloading?
    I do not watch tv on my computer screen when I could be watching it in my living room on a big TV... and the only reason why I bought the player was to the netflix. Many times I felt like red going on this thing and he break just to small bites... it's as if someone is playing keep away with my TV and I am so frustrated.
    A promise, never again will I buy a sony brand anything... and I will be progressively all my sony branded products. Why the ps3 which is intended for the work of better game player whose only purpose is to watch movies? More important still why keep you throwing everyone under the bus when it is very obvious that your product/service is the problem? Above all, why did you not corrected it since it is very obvious that many many of your customers have exactly the same problem? Why do you continue to lie to your customers and to blame others for your failure. You lose a huge amount of business and product/brand loyalty. Fix your servers or let us broadcast directly from netflix. Fix it it fix it!

    The article you sent me contains some good information, but nothing that I didn't already know.   Blue Ray model I mentioned, the BDP-S380 comes enabled with a RJ-45 port network.  I connected it to my router.  I've never had buffereing or freezing with YouTube, Hulu or Amazon Video, on this piece of equipment.

    The considerable amount of internet discussion on Sony Blue Ray players and this problem with Netflix, I have a few questions:

    (1) is it true that these devices of Sony not to go directly to Netflix, but are redirected via Sony servers that must collect and send new data streaming?

    (2) Sony also road Hulu, YouTube, Amazon, or other streaming through their servers services or allow them direct access to these providers?

    Something else interesting to note would be the following: when I start an episode of Netflix, this player does everything first a screen indicating that the network connection is tested and gives me an indication of average speed.  Then she actually starts streaming the episode, again give me an indication of speed average until he has buffered upward and status information disappears from the display.  I noticed that in all cases, the network connection test which takes place first of all always gives an average speed that is superior to the buffering real of the episode.  Also, I ran the network to other devices before speed tests, during and after the Sony Reader showed me what he thinks, what is speed.  These tests may come from my iPad using SpeedTestX, one of my PC using various utilities through the diagnostic software and network support in my router.  In all cases, these tests are 1-3 MB faster than watch the Sony player.  The average speed displayed on the screen is also 1-3 MB faster with Amazon as Netflix and Amazon, the test speed is always the same as the speed of buffering.

    So, from my observations, it is easy to conclude that the re - direct traffic of Netflix through the servers of Sony is what is causing slow and put connections into buffer issues.  They are not present with any other streaming service I use, or they are on my other devices not Sony blue ray.

  • Sound / Audio (CRAC, pop, broken playback) the buffer Y460P issues

    I have problems playing audio without clicks and pops. They sound like problems of buffer against the recess.

    Clicks occur during audio playback of any program, but worsen under certain cercumstances.

    The worst time is when I have my external monitor plugged. He actually 10 times worse if I have uTorrent with multiple files running. Even after closing, the clicks remain. The best result is obtained only after the closure of the programmes as much as possible.

    The clicks are better, but not completely disappeared, when no other monitor is connected and cover is open. If I close the lid, the clicks well gets worse.

    I have an external USB sound (Sound Blaster X - FI) card and also tried with this. It makes no difference, the clicks are stll there.

    I updated my BIOS with the latest version and sound card drivers are updated. Is there anything else I can try?

  • Telnet issue... What am I doing wrong?

    OK, I have two configuration network to see them via the VPN. The VPN is provided by a 515e and a 501F catalogue. 515e 192.168.50.0 network, the network 501F to the catalog is 192.168.51.0

    External ip address of the 515e is x.x.71.7, the 501 is x.x.71.8

    Problem: I cannot telnet to the 192.168.51.0 behind the 501 network in the external interface of the 515e, but can't leave network 50.0 behind the 515e in the external interface of the 501F catalogue.

    Here is my configuration:

    Look at my comments about Telnet in the previous announcement.

    A few questions for you:

    1. in your config on the Pix 501, whey you have two instructions in your access list.

    inside_nat0_outbound 192.168.50.0 ip access list allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.51.0 255.255.255.0

    permit access ip host x.x.71.7 192.168.51.0 list inside_nat0_outbound 255.255.255.0

    2 and also use a different access list for address matching and NAT 0 cos you will encounter problems when you set up multiple vpn tunnels.

    For Ex:

    crypto VPNMAP 10 card matches the address 100

    access-list 100 permit ip 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0

    crypto VPNMAP 20 card matches the address 101

    If the switches without user name and password, we cannot telnet in.

    But what happens if Acess Point without one, are we able to telnet in?

    (1) Yes you will be

    (2) you need local connection

    (3) Yes (bbb)

    (4) no... you have a password or use the local connection.

  • Issue of Telnet and SSH on Cisco 3750.

    I turn on Cisco 3750 and everything so I wasn't able to connect in the area. I even changed the source interface and update transport under the VTY lines input method, no luck.

    Can I choose to disable SSH by removing the corresponding lines of configs and RSA keys. And I changed the entry to transport back to Telnet. After the reboot of the switch, I'm still not able to connect despite the fact that the box is accessible.

    Any help?

  • PIX 501 - issues with Telnet

    I'm currently pre configuration of the firewall, so I had to build a small network to test the configuration. I am able to telnet system when I plug my laptop into the hub inside the firewall. However, when I plug on the external interface and the external address of the box telnet it seems to connect but I get no feedback eventually, he abandoned the connection. I'm trying to telnet on port 25 (to mimic the smtp traffic), the telnet server has been configured to listen on this port. When I try to telnet on 23 he refuses the connection almost immediately. Its almost like the PIX meets the demand of telnet instead of the destination system. I am able to get responses from the system with various icmp traffic.

    I have a static (inside, outside) mapping for the system I want to telnet to port 25.

    Any ideas?

    I would say that. The correction prevents would-be hackers to get HELP and your server smtp VRFY. You will also see:

    220 * 0 * 200 * 0 * 0200, instead of what type of server, etc.

  • NEITHER 9212 - issues with sampling frequency, number of samples and size of buffer or slowness comes together with thermocouple module

    To begin with, I am very new to labview and unfortunately on that my first task is to build something rather complicated for a project that my company works. Fortunately it is especially followed rather than control critical processes.

    Currently, I have a cDAQ with modules, DI, AO, and TC.

    I'm currently running read-write for all 5 of these modules in parallel while loops and analog and digital inputs/outputs modules that all work as expected. Each loop requires 1 sample per channel through the wizard DAQmx etc for each module and I got can interact with all the asyncronosly inputs and outputs which at the moment is the goal. I can switch power switch for each module save memory, or if the need arrives later.

    My problem is that the module TC (NI 9212) when tilt on which allows the acquisition of sample 1 loop seems to take much, much longer to collect samples. I have played with different acquisition parameters and can seem to get a continuous flow of data when you use streaming samples, or even when specifying N-samples but I come in questions where the "application cannot catch up with the hardware.

    I tried to find an optimal number of samples/sampling, rate, etc I can get an update of temperature more than every 1 to 2 seconds, but if I set the number of samples that are high enough to apparently get a constant flow, what ends up happening waveform graphs seem to lag behind the actual data, and that's where I get errors. I only want 1 sample per channel per cycle anyway. Yet once, all the other modules in the cycle with less than 100ms delay between acquisitions but the module thermocouple ends up being 1-2 seconds. It's okay because in our application temperature should not rise/drop very quickly but its boring nonetheless.

    I have the acquisition set up for the same (NI 9212) thermocouple module was like my modules of analog and digital inputs (NI 9205 and NI 9421) take 1 sample every time the task is called so I'm having a hard time understand why do the same for the TC module introduced such a delay. Max sampling rate is supposed to be 95 samples/s/ch, so I guess that the delay must come from call the task over and over again in a loop.

    Synchronization and how you have configured the 9212?

    In the case of high resolution, it can reach 1.8 samples/s. see page 7 of the plug technique here for rates for the supported modes:

  • Ssh/telnet/web ASA5505 question

    I can't access this ASA everywhere except the console.

    I'm no expert, ASA, but I compared it to others I have configured asa, and I can't find the error of my ways.

    It is expected to be easy, I just need a different set of eyes looking at it now. I hope I don't have too much censor, but I imagine that if I am able to SSH locally, will fix all issues of access I have.

    You can check the problems caused by the recent updates of Flash and try these:

    • disable an eventual extension of the browser for Firefox Plugin RealPlayer Record and if installed RealPlayer update
    • disable the safe_mode in Flash 11.3 and later versions
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

    I use PyDAQmx with a USB-6363, but I think the question is generic to DAQmx.

    I have an output buffer that I want to be able to (re) write to without starting the task output.

    More specifically, I have a graphical interface and a few sliders, the user can move.  Whenever the slider changes, a new set of values is loaded into the buffer output through DAQmxWriteAnalogF64.  After you set the value, the user can click on a button and start the task output.

    In some cases the change in cursor does not require a change in buffer size, only a change in the data.  In this case, I get the compalint following DAQmx as they tried writing:

    The generation is not yet started, and not enough space is available in the buffer.

    Set a larger buffer, or start the generation before writing data more than content in the buffer.

    DAQmx writing failed because a previous writing DAQmx configured automatically the size of output buffer. The size of the buffer is equal the number of samples written by channel, so no additional data can be written before the original task.

    Is it possible to "remake" the writing of output before you begin the task?

    Today I have no material practical to validate, but try unreserving task before writing the new buffer:

    DAQmxTaskControl (taskHandle, DAQmx_Val_Task_Unreserve);

    With a simulated device, he made the error go away in case the buffer is the same size.  You will need to validate if the data are in fact correct, but I think it should be (unreserving I would say reset the write pointer so the old buffer are replaced with the new data).

    I always get errors when you try to change the size of buffer if (on my 6351 simulated).  I posted some similar mistakes about the reconfiguration of the tasks here, I guess it is possible that this issue has also been set at 9.8 (I always use 9.7.5 on this computer).  If the behavior is still present in the new driver, and also appears on real hardware (not just simulated), then it seems that this is a bug of DAQmx someone at OR should be considered.

    I wrote a simple LabVIEW VI that captures the error in order to help people to NOT reproduce it:

    The best solution at the moment would be likely to re-create the task if you need to change the size of the buffer (or avoid writing data until you are sure what will be the size of buffer).

    I thought that I could transfer it here because it might be a more appropriate forum. I have a bit of time pressure, so I hope someone can help me. I'm having a problem with a program that I wrote to acquire and store images from a camera to linear scan.

    My camera (SUI Goodrich, 1024 pixels) is connected to a card framegrabber (PCIe-1427), which is connected via a RTSI cable to a PCI-6731 card attached to a SCC-68 (series) connector M.  My goal is to drive a mirror galvanometer scanning and acquire images from the camera continuously on each scan. As the galvo scan will be the frame of an image (1024 pixels x 1024 lines).

    I managed to do it (I think), as my direct purchase program works exactly as I expected. However, when I try to save the images, I noticed that for a larger number of images, the starting point of the image is shifted the same amount for each image. I'm not really sure what's going on, it seems to me that there is a delay in the use of the VI "IMAQ set up buffer" when a larger number of buffers is used, (or even 100). Is it possible that my hardware trigger does not wait for all buffers to be configured before you start to run?

    I would really appreciate any idea or ideas that anyone could have on this issue.

    I fixed the problem by doing that I don't use actually 1000 stamps to save 1000 frames. Program works if the number of buffers is lowered.

    Trying to accomplish the following without success so far:

    Setup a a DAQmx read buffer in a manner such that

    • all cost overruns are allowed

    • can read a buffer half at any time (entire buffer will not work, due to the following requirement)

    • read is compared to sample the most recent, If no data was read before or not.

    If I'm really asynchronous, I should get the more recent samples (which a party may or may not be 'old' or reading of the previous call) without delay at any time I choose to call it DAQmx Read. So far, I get a dleay compatible with a demi-tampons of a data value.

    Play with the following parameters did me not what I was looking for. I thought that the following combination might work:

    Crush the unread samples

    Reading Relative to the most recent

    Read size = size of buffer/2

    I can do this separately without the DAQ buffer; This isn't the issue. Call it an exercise if you wish - I'm just curious to know if this can be done with the DAQmx read buffer.

    I guess what I'm wondering really is if the pointer of the playback Position can be ignored.
