TELUS smtp problem

My apple devices do not recognize my SMTP of Telus username and the password. I sort of got an answer on reset something on my devices, but the call is lost. My cell provider thing everything is perfect, there must be a problem with Apple!  Help

  • SMTP problems

    Never had any problems with the mail of BC before. I "upgraded" to OSX Yosemite and slowly things begin to fall apart. Mail worked fine for a few days, but now I can't send emails using SMTP BC server more. of all my SMTP accounts, it's the only one who fails to connect. I tried to delete my account in Mac Mail and create it again, but does not work.

    Someone at - it problems particular SMTP on the new OS from Yosemite?

    I'm sorry to hear about boredom and inconsistencies. The empty part of leave referred to the Description field, there there missing comma. Currently, I can recommend you, follow the directions to configure your outgoing server:

    Server name: mail.b.hostedemail.com

    Port: 465 | SSL - VERIFIED

    Username and password as usual

    We will revise the article accordingly, making sure to reflect the stages of the implementation of the account from scratch as well.

  • Meadow Bell send email on account Telus (mail Application Alert)

    Hi all

    Help required on all you smart people out there.

    I've just activated a Bell Palm Pre in the Canada, and my email provider is Telus.

    I entered my e-mail address of Telus and the password during the first start-up procedure, and the Pre started up well and was able to sync with my e-mail Web of Telus server.  I have seen emails pushed to my Inbox and could also see the other folders in my webmail account.

    Then I tried to send an email, and the problems began.  My email was sent to my hotmail ([email protected]) account.  When I hit send, the status line at the bottom of the pre says "sending"test"  (I called my first email 'test').  Then a few seconds later, I had another status that says "error sending"test"  Then a little envelope icon showed up on the bottom right and clicking on the icon has raised a large triangle of yellow warning with the message "alert Email-request" and below "error sending"test"  The outgoing email then just sits in the Outbox with a small yellow triangle next to him.

    Then I went into my email account settings and went in the "Change Log-In Settings.

    My incoming mail server was listed as imap.telus.net but incoming worked OK, so I got that.

    The outgoing mail server was smtp.telus.net and the button 'Use authentication' was in position 'On' with my email address and password below.  He used the port 587 without encryption.

    The first thing I tried was to "use authentication" in the Off"" position.  Button slipped to 'Off', so, then, I left the settings page.  The status line at the bottom of the pre says "Update Preferences".  So just to check, I went back to the settings page, and the 'use authentication' was mysteriously turned to 'On '.  I tried this several times since then, and the Pre refused to organize the marketing in 'Off', my 'use authentication' is now always 'On '.

    At this point, I called Bell Tech Support.  I talked to a guy named 'Jimmy '.  He had me change the outgoing mail to mail.telus.net and then to mail.1xbell.ca server, but none of those who have helped.  In fact, they seem worse, because now the Pre would be trying to send the email out about 30 seconds to a minute before you puke upwards the same error as before.

    Jimmy asked me to change the settings for the port at 20 and activate the SSL encryption.  Nothing helps.

    Jimmy finally said that he could not help and I should call Palm support.  But by then, they were closed for the night.

    I thank Jimmy and continued to try to work around.  I put all my settings back to what they were before I talked to Jimmy.  I tried a few more things, which sent an email to another address of [email protected] .  WOW! Success!  This e-mail is sent successfully.  But wtf?  Why only at telus.net email addresses?

    It was about midnight, and I got on the phone to technical support of Telus (they're going 24 x 7).  I logged on to Vartsala.  I explained the problem (about four times) that I could only send to addresses [email protected] and to me it seemed that Telus smtp e-mail server blocking addresses other than telus.net e-mail addresses.  She insisted that the smtp server of Telus is not the problem, and it is the Palm Pre level.  But why the Palm could send email [email protected] , but not the email [email protected] ?  She could not answer.  I then spoke to her supervisor, who also insisted, it wasn't a problem with the smtp server of Telus.  Then, she refused to me more help because she said it wasn't a problem of Telus, and there was nothing she could do.

    This is my first question to anyone out there:  Is this a problem of Palm Pre, or is there a problem with the e-mail Telus smtp server accepts only not messages of the pre unless you be directed to the address [email protected] ?

    This morning I called Palm support and then be put on hold for an hour, techcinal I am connected to "Juliette".  Juliet took down my info and said that she would not be able to help with this.  She said a person you will call later today, or maybe in a few days and I should be patient.  So, no solutions there.

    Any ideas anyone?

    OK people, I think we have a winner.

    I finally got frustrated while I sponsored a conference call with a Palm level 3 tech support guy, the representative of Telus and a representative of Bell.  We were waiting for a total of 45 minutes that I chained call along and everyone eventually got on the same line.

    So here's the deal: the installation must be done manually as proposed by thepoet.  The incoming server is OK as imap and imap.telus.net without encryption.  The outgoing server must be set to point to mail.1xbell.ca WITHOUT authentication, port 25 and no encryption.  Initial Bell tech support guy was very close to the solution, just the incorrect port number and the wrong sequence of implementation.

    I could send successfully, but want to try a few things more before I declare it is a complete success.

Once you click on it and close after reading the messages disappear completely... However, there is no way to find them. I propose to keep them somewhere under Administration.

    Thanks for the comments Ildus! To address the subject of this thread, once you close the interface user notification went until the event fires again. If you want to display error messages, you can connect to the AV and check storage/var/loginsight/runtime.log.

  • Problem with SMTP servers that disappear

    I've recently updated to the official version of Sierra.

    Since then, I can't send mail more.

    I have a special setup in Apple Mail: I config a manual counting that iCloud as IMAP for receiving server and Gmail as SMTP server to send. That allows me to have sort of a double synchronization with iCloud and Gmail.

    It was working perfectly until that date, but after Sierra upgrade it keeps losing my SMTP server config.

    After some instructions on mail and Sierra problems (in this thread: Re: IMAP e-mail accounts went into Mail after upgrade of Sierra), I have built my mail again, created new account, but the problem remains.

    What happens is that it continues to lose my SMTP server. I re-entered 20 times or more, save, but she mysteriously disappears. I go to Mail > Preferences > accounts, select my manual counting and this is what I see under "server settings":

    Password is missing. Username loses the game ' @gmail.com ' email address and authentication is set to None.

    If I'm in all the fields correctly, switch tabs, back: it's all gone!

    I tried to remove the smtp server and create a new one, but the same happens.

    All faced a similar problem? Do you have an idea how solve it?

    Installation with SMTP servers for each account. THEN in Mail > Preferences > composition select always send from Gmail account.

  • Error 0x800ccc0f - Outlook Mail problem code outgoing smtp

    I ran the "Tools" menu to set up my "Yahoo" more e-mail with Outlook 2003 account. I can receive emails, but I can't send email. In the outgoing mail SMTP field, I entered the number '465' or '587' as recommended, without modification. "I tried the 'Test Message' all over the place, but I get the error code '0x800ccc0f' every time, which indicates that I need to check my"email address"field

    I have re typed my email address in this area a number of times now, without my message out test. As I said, I can receive, but I can not send. Can someone give me a working solution? I have already considered the Solution MS Center for troubleshooting, and I have printed many solutions "step by step" (all essentially the same, I've tried) is there a known 'problem' I have to go around in this regard?

    During your stay in Takapuna Auckland, I had to change my smtp.paradise.net.nz in smtp.ihug.net.nz in order to send emails. I have now left Takapuna and changed my outgoing address in the original smtp.paradise.net.nz, as ihug address does work here at Epsom. However, I can't send e-mails more. How could I solve this problem? I hope you can help and thank you in advance.

  • Unity - VPIM network domain SMTP, please help problem

    I need help to solve the problem of SMTP domain.

    1. the unit

    -main site SMTP domain = domain1.com

    -delivery location SMTP domain = yyyy.ca

    2 Exchange server

    -by default the recipient [email protected]/ * / and @yyyy.ca

    -SMTP transport sink = domain1.com VC

    2 3rd party mail server

    -main site SMTP domain = yyyy.ca

    -delivery location SMTP domain = domain1.com

    With the configuration, cannot the unit send to 3rd party because yyyy.ca think as local rather than remote SMTP. It works if I remove the yyyy.ca in the default recipient policy.

    I have to paste the default as above and the question is how can I solve the problem? can I create a new policy with @domain1.com only and link to the VC?

    You cannot have a delivery location remotely as yyyy.ca AND yyyy.ca as a default recipient policy. You will need to create a new domain for the delivery location (one that is not on the recipient policy), and then change the local delivery on the voicemail system 3rd party smtp domain.

    It's just not possible to tell Exchange yyyy.ca is local and then expect not to deliver it to a remote location of smtp.

  • Storm Smartphones TELUS blackBerry, gps location satellite problem help?

    Hi, I had the version of telus to the storm today, updated software, pulled battery.

    as soon as I got it, I tested it on the bbmaps on gps and he finds 10 satellites.  I charged the phone and then I couldn't find more satellites, I tried flying around my car, I tried, just walk outside.

    I had a similar problem with the telus htc touch pro.  It would work once they have activated the phone after an hour or so there problems of location satellite signal, but only once in a little while I might be able to lock.

    I don't know if they did this on purpose so that I have to use their paid browser or that there is some conflict with the gps settings.

    CUS, in this case on 2 different phone, but after that the first hours of the couple the gps is not completely disabled because I was able to lock more but very rarely.

    any ideas?

    Problem solved, anyone with a gps problem should just look for the fix of storm from telus on google

    you will need to change some IPS with the software so that it allows you to lock onto satellite.

    The reason why it worked for me at first is because the phone probably already got activated for the telus network not had the possibility to change the settings on the phone.after that the gps is really limited.  can connect to a gps 1% or less of the time.

    but after that the gps fix can be locked in a few seconds, even indoors.

  • Pix 501 problem, I can not receive smtp messages

    Currently, I can send messages but cannot receive the mail from the Internet, if I remove the Pix and connect directly to the Modem/router then I can SMTP on port 25 and SMTP mail works fine both in & out.

    All what we want this Pix to allow at present is:

    (a) access to Internet to all clients on the network internal

    (b) allow the customers to pop mail web e-mail accounts

    (c) we want to use Exchange & Outlook and accommodate our own email via the SMTP Protocol

    I finally found the problem.

    On the ADSL router, you have configured the same 192.168.0.0/24 network you use behind the post office

    Server. This configuration will not work because it leads to a duplicate IP address range and you have routing

    problems.

    Change the configuration to another range of IP between the ADSL router and PIX firewall and everthing will be

    work.

    Note the address unique public IP that is configured, received is on the router Netgear ADSL uses all other interfaces

    public IP addresses.

    Recovery of the networks and the IPs:

    80.x.y.z/255.255.255.x = Netgear outside intellectual property

    192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0 = network between the internal Netgear and the PIX outside interface

    192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 = network between the PIX inside and the external interface of the mail server

    192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 = network between the internal interface of mail server and mail clients.

    Use 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 for this network, and then set it 192.168.2.1 for your ADSL router inside

    interface, use a static IP 192.168.2.2 255.255.255.0 on the PIX firewall outside interface.

    ADSL installation:

    You can choose on the Netgear between all public traffic of the 80.x.y.z IP to 192.168.2.2 transmission which is NAT or

    You can transfer to forward the http, pop3 and smtp, didn't really matter, it's just important that you NAT or PAT it

    for the PIX firewall.

    PIX installation example:

    All traffic received on the PIX outside interface for http, pop3 and smtp is then transmitted by 192.168.2.2 to mail

    the server 192.168.1.2 external IP address.

    outdoor IP 192.168.2.2 address 255.255.255.0

    IP address inside 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

    Installation of mail server:

    The mail server has a default route to the PIX firewall.

    Default gateway on the mail server = 192.168.1.1

    Do you have NAt or PAT on the mail server internal clients to the Internet in the direction of the PIX? If not, you need to add another road on the PIX, so know the PIX the 192.168.0.0/24 network is behind the e-mail server, as this unit is the routing for this network.

    Add a route on the PIX inside interface:

    Route inside 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.2

    E-mail clients:

    All mail clients have the internal IP address of mail as default gateway server.

    Default gateway = 192.168.0.3

    This configuration will work 100%

    Hi there, for the first time computer owner & loaded suite perfect word of programs in my computer running Windows 7.  A configuration of e-mail in Mozilla and can receive emails, but cannot send them.  It happens just with message that says that I don't have smtp etc.?

    The message send failed.
    The message could not be sent using SMTP server smtp.xtra.co.nz for some unknown reason. Please check that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again or contact your network administrator.
