Temperatures of SSHD Y50-70 - question

I was wondering what are the standard temperatures, as mine seems quite high.

At this moment I have 42 while doing almost nothing, just a moment ago, it rises to 47, and when I want to download/install something it can boost up to 52 - 55 c.

I'm afraid that it would be wrong.

These values are considered ok according to speccy, as they are< 50="">

I realized this tempreatures WIndows XP (with the support of the driver) and the 4 Debian and Fedora 9.
I updated my bios but the problem persists. Some time ago, the PC did not reach these high temperatures...

    What is the problem?

I agree with macdreamy 50 to 70 ºC are not too high for a temperature of the CPU.
I m not an A100 owner but I have another laptop Satellite with the CPU and hardware of similar specifications.
    I get a CPU from 45 to 74 ° c temperature. But the temperature rises to 80 ° c, while watching a video or a game.
Don t be afraid it s everything ok with your CPU ;)

  • Calculation of temperature in LabVIEW ramp

    Hello

I am a chemical engineer, and I'm trying to use fuzzy logic control to control the temperature of a non-linear reaction. The use in the control variable is the difference between the ramp of the reactor temperature and the set temperature pad. And my question is how to calculate the variation of the temperature of the reactor.

I just started learning about LabVIEW and have only an idea that I could record the temperature of the reactor in a certain time interval and calculate the difference. However, I don't know how to save the data internally in the program that I can use the data for the calculation, while the program is still ongoing. I wonder if someone could help me. It will be better if you could give me an example of this. I'm using LabVIEW 7.1. Thank you very much!

    Wilson

    Hey Wilson,

From what I understand of your explanation, I tried a simple code.

I couldn't save in 7.1, so attaching screenshot.

I would like to know if that's what you're looking for. Sorry if I don't understand your problem and a bad solution (if this is the case)

  • Compatibility of the Thermocouple K with USB NI 6008

    Hello

I have trouble choosing what to buy to make temperature measurements with my already purchased NI USB 6008.

I intend to use LabView to work with these measures of temperature and link them to other measurements with other sensors using the same NI USB 6008.

After some research, I think I'm going to need a K Thermocouple as this one: http://fr.rs-online.com/web/p/sondes-de-temperature/3428899/

But my question is: I'll be able to use it, simply cut off the connector and connecting the cables to my NI USB 6008, or do I have to use a special system like this: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/fr/nid/208177

And if I need such a system, I'll be able to use measurements with other sensors on the same LabView?

My hesitation comes from this document: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371303n.pdf

Page 13, seems, I have to use 2 resistors to bind my Thermocouple K to my NI USB 6008, but the use of such a system will make it difficult to obtain certification (this system will be part of a machine).

    Hoping you can help me,

    Patatelover, Polytech' Clermont-Ferrand, FRANCE

PS: Sorry for my English, I am not native...

The 6008 is not appropriate for the measures by thermocouple - see this article for details, but in short, you would be able to measure at a minimum resolution of 8-9 degrees with a precision of 30 degrees.

You must use either a USB as the connected USB-TC01 thermocouple module, superior performance DAQ (with a range of smaller / more high resolution) or use a C-Series Thermocouple module.

  • How to interpret the Montior CPU for the merger activity data?

I had an interesting thing happen today:

    • I noticed that my Macbook Pro was a very high coverage of time CPU.

    • I checked the activity monitor to see what might happen - Firefox (as usual) was consuming more processor said cycles (30-50) - Fusion was well down the list (nevers merger seems to signal something more than 2-3).

    • I spent a lot of time trying to understand what could be the problem - juggling makes Firefox only a modest improvement.

    • Finally noticed that suspend the virtual machine (that worked only 1 app in XP) caused the CPU usage (as shown on the /graph/ in the activity monitor, not as shown in the numerical value of the VMWare Fusion line) to fall and the time quickly dropped by 20 + C.

    • Restared the VM - time go way up, but VMWare Fusion still report it is not using any CPU tasks stored in the virtual machine, and it was VMWareUser.exe (this, as I understand it, is a well known problem with drag-and-drop in a virtual machine), consuming 99% of the "VM - processor" I killed this process, the cpu of the VM goes to 99% idle and the falling time cpu for the ranges of normal temperatures.

So - my question is why the line in the report of Activity Monitor such a small numerical value for the processor utilization associated with VMWare Fusion when (at least in this example) it seems that the CPU was being seriously imposed by the leak inside the virtual machine process? How should I interpret it?

    Thank you

    Doug

As noted in the frequently asked Questions on VMware Fusion, Fusion uses a frontend/backend architecture. The merge process that appears in the default settings of the activity monitor is the user interface process, which manages receives them, drawing on the screen and so on. Work heavy is done by a process vmware-vmx belonging to root (one per VM) - view all processes to see / them.

With respect to the use of the CPU, see frequently asked Questions about VMware Fusion: high CPU utilization.

  • Hard drive Question on new Y50

Hi, I ordered a Y50 last week and I'm waiting to be shipped. I've gone through these forums a lot try to seek answers to my question.

I intend later my SSHD to a 512 GB or 1 TB SSD 1 TB upgrade when prices are met. What I'm confused about is a recovery key and how that will work with the new HD? I read that it will not work if the partitions are changed or if you use a new HD, or if you format the old drive?

I don't know if I want to run Windows 8.1, maybe linux, I want to expirament. I can just use Windows 8.1 anyway.

If I ever want to sell the laptop, I want to while working where I do not change the hard drive. Is there a concise guide on how to get all backed up and is working on a new hard drive, including a recovery key?

The first thing I want to do when I get the laptop is my backup system image, but what good is it if I plan on the HDD out of switching or the modification of partitions? I looked on these forums, and the more I read I became more confused.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Satellite A350D - 20K - Question about upgrade second HDD + Temperature

I have a question about my laptop. I have notticed it is a second location of HARD disk on the bottom.
Is it possible to use this to increase my storage?
And if yes, how do I do that? I don't see all the connectors.
What type of HARD drive to use in case it is possible to use this slot machine?

My second question is on my laptop to be very hot after a short period of use.
I installed speedfan to record the temperature. When I start the laptop, it already is between 45 and 50 degrees.
He stayed there for half an hour and then it starts to get warmer. When I start to use the laptop for anything, it triggers to between 70 and 80 degrees.

This does not seem normal to me. I tried to clean the vents with compressed air, but it has not made a difference.
I searched on the internet how to take the laptop part for proparly cleaned TI.
But I can't so I'm looking that destroy it.

This could be the cause and more importantly, how can I solve this problem?

    Tom

The second HARD drive bay contains the HARD drive connectors?
If Yes, then you can use a SATA 2.5 HARD.
If there are no connectors, then you will not be able to use the second HARD drive

    > I have installed speedfan to record the temperature. When I start the laptop, it already is between 45 and 50 degrees. He stayed there for half an hour and then it starts to get warmer. When I start to use the laptop for anything, it triggers to between 70 and 80 degrees.

CPU and GPU produce a lot of heat. The heat dissipation is always created then there s nothing unusual that the temperature rose to higher level.
You can change the settings in Win 7 power management. You can set the CPU to lower performance and can increase the activity of fan, which will help lower the temperature.

  • Question about temperature internal Satellite A300 ND1

    Hello

I have a question about the temperature of the standards it of ok for my laptop and what is the normal temperature and how can I keep it low?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It's not easy to say what a normal temperature could be.
The temperature is not always the same and it depends on the use of the laptop.
Usually, the temperature would increase while gaming or running applications high performance. Why? Because all devices such as the CPU and GPU would focus the heat dissipation and this leads to a higher temperature.

    > How can I keep it low
Very simply, you can keep still low level, but you can make sure there is enough free space around the laptop to ensure good air circulation.
Also don t use the laptop on your knees etc in order do not obstruct cooling fans.

It s also advised to clean the fans from time to time using the jet of compressed air. These sprays are really useful and could buy in the stores of different computers.

  • Question about the temperature of the processor and the use of Vista on Satellite Pro M70

    Hello

I have Satellite Pro M70-113 and it has Intel mobile Pentium 1.86 GHz CPU.
The problem is that its normal temperature is 80 degrees Celsius... while I use the browser and other common programs...
and recently it automatically shut off twice and pressing the button works / stop won't turn on... when I unplugged, replugged the power cord so I could only turn it on...

And while playing games, it would of course go above 100 degrees...

So you know what is the max temp through which the CPU can go without stop or damage the CPU or surrounding a circuit?
I know that when I bought this laptop about 2 years back... it was not warm this...

And by the way this laptop came with WXP Pro preinstalled and doesn't show any vista capable logo (because at the time, there was no such promotion of Microsoft, as it was the year 2005, Nov).

Now, I use vista and upgraded to 1 GB of RAM and I have no problem using the Vista pc.

Secondly, I did not update my BIOS to version the most recent is available.

Although I'd love to have updated the BIOS but I worry about the bad flashing and says BIOS driver update page that the version of the BIOS doesn't support vista - whatever that means? If I go back to Windows XP Home edition after installing the BIOS for vista, the pc will not be usable for WXP or what?

Is there any link to the processor heats to the old version of the BIOS, I'm still using... will update BIOS facilitated the temperature?

    Please answer.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Wow, you have a lot of questions. :) If I was sort of a support guy to it all with such question much. ;)

No, I'm kidding; with regard to your questions:

First of all you must clean your CPU cooling with compressed air, because if the breakdown is clobbed with dust and then it s just logical that your processor is a little bit more 'hot' then 2 years before.

The max temp is available on the website of intel. I think that the section is called "intel spec finder" or something similar.
With Vista and bios: you need to update your bios, since then some improvements are making more compatible bios for vista.
But don t worry, XP won´t be unusable if you update your bios, the bios-update brings improvements for vista, but does not degrade anything about XP.

If the bios update will solve this temporary problem is not clearly, rather a cleaning as I told you will be better.

    Welcome them

  • Question about the temperature of the Qosmio X 500

    Good afternoon.
I am the owner of the laptop Qosmio X 300 for about two years. I tried to change the laptop on the Qosmio X 500. Toshiba Qosmio X 300 is very hot when I run the games high performance, so I was interested in the question - if the X 500 overheating problems or not? Anyone can publish indicators of temperature sensors?

    Post edited by: Erangel

    Hello

To be honest I m X 500 owner but no it s nothing unusual that a temperature increase to a higher level all-in game.
It is a normal behaviour for laptop.
The GPU and CPU are stunned with the highest performance while playing a game, which means a lot of heat will be created.

This will happen to all the laptops that are created for game purposes and you should not be worried about it

  • Satellite A30 - question about the CPU temperature

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A30 (model name: SA30-151, model number: PSA33E). I had the usual problems with overheating and closing, where I had to clean the radiator.

My question is, how hot the CPU must sit at and what temperature is dangerous?

I installed 'Hardware sensors Monitor' and the average temperature is about 55 c, but I saw it happen at 70 c when I'm pushing it.

I was not able to find something on the net about it and I can't find information on the Toshiba site.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks...

The same temperature is on my Tecra M1. Believe me, there's really no reason to panic.

  • New record of question mark SSHD screnn

My Seagate SSHD should fail, so I ordered a replacement.

In the meantime I backed up with time machine on my external hard drive in my MacBook, and then I created a bootable USB key.

This morning, I replaced the SSHD with a new one, but I get the white screen with a folder with an exclamation mark.

It also happened that the laptop turns off unexpectedly. Could you help me please understand what is happening?

    Thanks yo!

The question mark appears when the drive specified in the last

    System Preferences > startup drive...

... is not available. Your Mac can't find the boot drive, or the drive specified is not a bootable disk (does not contain Mac OS X).

    --------

Start with the Alt/Option key, select your key USB Bootable and install on the new SSD.

Long-term, make sure that you enable some version of TRIM, especially if your SSD is only 8 x the size of Mac OS X or smaller.

  • Question about the temperature of the CPU on Qosmio G20-120

My CPU temp is never less than 85 C.
When I'm working temp max is up to 115 C.
The cooler works all the time.
    Its normal?

It depends on the use of the laptop.
If the laptop uses the full CPU and the performance of the graphics card if it possible of s as the temperature increases to a higher level.

One question; the laptop is turned off automatically? If not then all work and there is no problem of overheating.
The laptop supports an overheating protection. If the temperature would be high, so the laptop would be closed automatically

  • normal temperature y50-70 of Lenovo problem

    Jin

I tried dying light on my y50-70

with the air conditioner off the coast:

    GPU: 86-88 degrees

    CPU:89 - 90 degrees

    with the air conditioner on:

    GPU: 77 to 81 degrees

    CPU: 80-83 degrees

Is this normal temp? and if not what is the normal temperature of this computer laptop while in game?

    Thank you

In short - I do not recommend playing at this high temperature.

Long answer - it will not send Sparks, but the components will lose effectiveness and can be damaged over a period of time. How long? Maybe 6 months, 1 year, 2 years - it all depends on how much you play.

Heat is an enemy of computers. The cooler you can run them, the better.

My current time, because all settings/changes, do not exceed 80 all in game. GPU - max 78, CPU - max 81

    Hi dariod

You can't find any info on the idle temp for this processor and graphics card because the temperature level is always different.
The laptop temperature depends on the temperature of the environment, the use of the laptop and power settings.

In Win Vista, you can change some settings to be able to affect the temperature of the CPU and the cooling module feature:
