Temporary file created in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed

I noticed on 64-bit Windows 10, bith at home and at work, I noticed a new folder named temp is created with another randomly named folder statement. (see attachment)

How to recreate it

(1) run the program uninstall offline

(2) use Setup offline NPAPI - it creates temp folder empty

(3) launch Installer offline again this seems to create a folder with a file I've ever seen before.

I don't know if it's a bug or deliberate but thought I would wear it upward?

Thanks in advance

Creating a folder TEMP in C:\WinDir\SysDir\Macromed\Flash is the expected behavior in 22.0.0.209/22.0.0.210 on all supported Windows platforms (for all types of player: Activex, NPAPI, PPAPI).  It is a problem of security fixed in this release.  However, there is a bug that some temporary directories created in the new TEMP directory are not deleted when the installation/uninsallation is complete.  This should be corrected in a future version of Flash Player.

    Hello

From Windows 8 Microsoft embeds Flash Player in the browser.  This includes Windows Server 2012.  For this reason, Microsoft locks the permissions on files to prevent users to erase files.  Microsoft does not provide a standalone installer of Flash Player for IE/Edge on these platforms and all updates from Microsoft via Windows Update.  By force to unlock the file and forcing the removal of the file you probably made your system unable to re - install Flash Player because there is no separate standalone installer for Flash Player on Windows Server 2012.  If you do not need Flash Player on this system, which is not a problem.  But if you need Flash Player on this system, you can, or can be not, be able to reinstall it.

    Who can help me?

Please do not hesitate to send it to me at [email protected] or post somewhere like dropbox or sendnow and send me the link.

I also received an email from another client this weekend who had encountered a similar problem.  Here's what they found and how they have managed to solve the problem:

The reason for blocking files flashplayer.xpt was the ThreatFire program.
Although I removed the auto-start program and found no entry in the Task Manager was running of a service of ThreatFire and blocked the installation process.
After uninstalling ThreatFire completely from the computer, I had no problem to install flashplayer.

    Hi all

    11.2.0.3.10

    AIX6

I have properly configured or created a database of pending for our database of UAT.

But when I test the newspapers where not applied to switch logs.

I checked the newspaper altert DB standby because it shows this:

DDE: Key problem "ORA 1110' was the controlled flood (0 x 1) (incident)

    ORA-01110: data file 201: ' / u21/ORACLE/ORADATA/SITDR/temp01.dbf'

ORA-27037: unable to get file status

IBM AIX RISC System/6000 error: 2: no such file or directory

    Additional information: 3

Why the TEMP is not created?

I also tried to copy the alter logs and apply them manually, and they are applied successfully.

My problem is that they are not automatically transferred and applied.

I check the primary alter DB log and I see an error like:

FAL [server, ARC5]: archive FAL failed, see the trace file.

ARCH: Archive FAL failed. Continuous archiver

SIT ORACLE instance - error check-in. Continuous archiver.

    Help, please...

  • Why the temporary files are created?

    Original title: temporary files

Hi, I searched the Web for a long time to know "why the temporary files are created?"
what I understand so far is there are temporary files created by MS WINDOWS, and others created by other applications like MS OFFICE APPS? RIGHT?

    - and understand that they are created for purposes of backup in the case of MS OFFICE applications,- and I do not know how? they are created when the App crash or every few minutes or what?

    - and I do not understand why "windows Temp files are created?"

    Show me examples please.

    Thank you

    Hello

There are many reasons why temporary files may need to be created.

  • Shell32.dll big files in c:\Windows\sysWOW64 folder

I had difficulties to update my Windows Vista 64. Windows installation failures. Windows Update failure. Cannot install .NET 4. When I was finally able to solve these problems, I noticed that my drive 1 t is almost full. View all the files in the disk space Explorer discovered 25 files of xxxxxxx shell32.dll from 3G to 22G in size in the C:\windows\syswow64\ folder. (see photo)

    1. what could cause these large files.

    2. can I remove them? If so, how

    Hi Dennis,

I apologize for the delay in responding. These files could be temporary files created during the installation of the updates. However, it is strange that these files are about 4 GB in size. I suggest to run Disk Cleanup, restart your PC and check if the files still exist. See this article for more information about Disk Cleanup:

  • Windows 8 deletion SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

    All,

It is quite technical, however, I don't have a win8 or 8.1 to test this on so I need help to understand the answers. (win8 is horrible even 8.1 is nothing I would never buy)

I understand Adobe recommend to not delete the SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\*.* files, and that MS is responsible for updates to flash in windows versions 8 and IE10.

I know that in windows 7 is architecture these files in the windows system folder are recreated by the adobe Installer. I also know that the NAPI and ActiveX files live in this folder as well as C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash.

    (1) the installer for ActiveX and NAPI adobe has the opportunity to write files in this folder?

    (2) where the NAPI direct flash files to?

    (3) do IE any version by winning 8 or 8.1 use ActiveX Flash to run or is it some flash updated the file needed?

    (4) assuming 3 is true, this would happen if these files are deleted on a win8 or win8.1 and programs complete msi installation of: Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe are used to install a version activeX, not the folder structure and files would get installed/created or are the unique files activeX because MS is being a pain?

I'm trying t clear this place that I'm working on a process automated to install the latest versions without causing problems that users can DL and make the process easy and painless. I got it down without flaw for win7, but need some more info on 8.

I'm not really of what is recommended, I am looking for real practical examples and the results of deleting files and re - install with msi versions, unless recommendations have been fully tested to 100%, maybe someone who did this and tried to use full msi installers, and had to be success , or failure in IE on win 8 x works or not?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Carm01,

Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x and higher.  As such, they see the Flash Player ActiveX, file system files and advise you not to remove them, including the \Macromed\Flash directory.  I heard some people remove the ActiveX files and the directory (using some utilities to 3rd unlocker to unlock the files/directory, as Microsoft locks these files on Windows 8.x) and the result was that they ended up having to reinstall the operating system to fix the problem, they created.

    For your other questions:

1 - given that Microsoft integrated Flash Player ActiveX in Windows 8, Flash Player ActiveX standalone (EXE or MSI) Setup didn't run on Windows machine 8.x.  NPAPI and Installer PPAPI write to this folder.

live 2 - NPAPI and PPAPI files in the same directory: \Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash.  If the 64-bit operating system, also live in \Windows\SysWow64\Macromed\Flash.

    3. all versions of IE on Windows 8.x use the ActiveX player incorporated by Microsoft.  Cannot delete the embedded version and the standalone ActiveX Installer will not run on Windows 8.x systems.

    4. If you manually remove the ActiveX, or the Macromed\Flash folder setup you will very probably end up re - install the operating system.  No standalone ActiveX installation programs run on Windows 8.x.  Microsoft considers the Flash Player ActiveX files incorporated as system files and doesn't want users to delete because of the problems, it creates by.  That's why Adobe recommends to delete ActiveX and \Macromed\Flash 8.x Windows directory files.

    Hope that answers your questions.

  • delete the temporary files and folders in xp

How to delete the temporary files and folders from windows xp

You don't mention your version of IE if the location cannot be exact.

Tools | Internet Options | In general. In the browsing history section, click on delete, and then select what you want deleted.

Or you can run Disk Cleanup and select temporary Internet files and temporary files.

Start | (All) Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup.

  • Setup of Windows Server 2012 cannot find a place to store temporary files

I am trying to upgrade Windows 2008 R2 DataCenter Windows Datacenter of 2012

I use the image en_windows_server_2012_x64_dvd_915478.iso - unpacked on C:\ or engraved on DVD

DVD - upgrade is not allowed and I am referred to operation of installation of Windows 2008

At the start of upgrade, I get the blue screen with 'Install now' followed by not referred to the Microsoft forums several times:

Windows Setup cannot find a place to store temporary files... Error code: 0 x 80070490

There is a lot of space in Windows 2008 records, also on the startup disk, I created a large partition (16 GB) just in case where.

    It does not help.

All messages on this problem - I didn't yet have those associated with AHCI - not sure the relevance/importance.

The material is an old IBM Intel Xeon 3 GHz 64-bit server.

    Any idea is welcome
