Testing of DataGuard got following error: ORA-25401 & ORA-25408

I tried to test to see if the transition to the will affect a selection running session.

Thank you.

No, of course not - it would be pretty useless, wouldn't it? :-)

SELECT is a superset of SESSION; He will try to keep the transparent role change, even while the session on the primary is just a SELECT statement. There are switched and continue to SELECT it on the primary again.

Kind regards

    Try to edit listener.ora by:
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = HOST_NAME_OF_YOUR_DATABASE_MACHINE/OR TRY USING THE IP ADDRESS OF THE DATABASE SERVER MACHINE)(PORT=1521))
Just try to edit HOST = value line above. You must use HOST_NAME_OF_YOUR_DATABASE_MACHINE or IP OF the DATABASE SERVER MACHINE.

Host name can be obtained by the hostname command on the database server.

With localhost, no one can connect to the database remotely.

    1. check the lsnrctl services

    2 check the tnsping output:

    -problem of network infrastructure

-some process disturbing / virus on the server Oracle itself

Try to disable your antivirus software temporarily to see if they will install. If the problem persists, you can try to download each update and install manually from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

In addition, make sure that you have not all programs, especially Microsoft Office programs open when you try to install these updates.

    (3) I just want to know if there are any other wayout, you mean the second concatenation of 4000 bytes sys_connect_by_path exhausts it might return this error?

SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH returns a VARCHAR2 data type. In SQL VARCHAR2 data type is limited to 4000 bytes, then Yes, you will get an error if the data that you generate is greater than 4000 bytes (and I say bytes rather than characters, because if your database uses a multibyte multi character set could be as little as 1000 characters)

I'm right now stable for a table who got 62 columns... I have tables that have 200 close passes: (, great, if you can throw some light on this, if your the best way and the only one to achieve?)

If you really need to concatenate strings together which exceeds 4000 bytes, then Yes you must use CLOB to store data. Oracle does not provide a native way to aggregate together in a CLOB datatype string, so why you need to write your own function.

PS: just a quick overview of my value, it will be by comparing schema1.table (s) with shema2.table (s) where table_name must be the same...

So why are you information concatenation together to achieve this goal?

no listener.ora file is necessary for the LISTENER to operate.
move, rename, delete, or remove the listener.ora file & then reboot the system.

each Oracle DB tries once every 60 seconds to register with EARPHONE as shown below

    Hi all

    Hello

The Mobile Manager not correctly delete/create mobile user.

Mobile Manager is a J2EE Application that connects to the Mobile using the Oracle JDBC Thin Driver repository, it is possible that when some users have been deleted or created, the http connection or JDBC connections has been cut.

Can you try to reset the metadata cache, delete the mobile user, create and configure this mobile user and then synchronize.

It will do a full refresh, but it must synchronize the fine after.

    Kind regards.
    Marc

  • Recreated mobileadmin error ORA-04068 repository

    Hello

I've recreated the mobileadmin one repository couple of times with no problems, by doing the following:

-Remove all the muy publications and publication elements.
    -Stop the mobile server.
    -MOVE THE MOBILEADMIN CASCADE USER;
-Execution of the repwizard.bat tool, which is located in % ORACLE_HOME%\mobile\server\admin.
-Cheking than all TRC$, CEQ$ and tables $ GCI and triggers associated with in my schema have been cleaned.
(I use the information in this link: How to recreate repository )

However, I have done this process, and then I created a new publication and an element of publication (editable) above a table XXXX.

When I tried to make a change to a record in the XXXX table, I got the following error:

ORA-04068: current state of packages has been excluded.
ORA-04061: existing status of the package 'MOBILEADMIN '. "C$ UPDATE_PACKAGE" was invalidated ORA-04065 not executed.

So, I tried to recompile all the packages in the MOBILEADMIN schema, but I get the same error.

I deleted the publication over the XXXX table element, then I don't have this error anymore, but I need to configure my Articles in publication...

    Any suggestion?

    Kind regards
    Santiago

You can take a before and after snapshot of the packaging? You can post here or open an SR with metalink and see if they can identify a bug/patch for the issue.

What version of the product work?

  • has received the error ORA-44416: invalid ACL, while trying to enable network services

Hi guys I got the ERROR ORA-44416 after the activation of services network in 11 GR 2 to send emails, so I ran this command found just as shown below in the Oracle document library

    SELECT THE ACL, PRINCIPAL

    OF NACL, XDS_ACE ACE DBA_NETWORK_ACLS

WHERE HOST = ' *' AND LOWER_PORT IS NULL AND UPPER_PORT IS NULL AND

NACL. ACLID = ACE. ACLID AND

    ARE NOT (SELECT NULL FROM ALL_USERS WHERE USERNAME = MAIN);

    That returned a result of

    no selected line

    What could this mean

The installation is done on a localhost and the APEX version is 4.2.2 browser is mozilla fire fox

ORA-44416 means that the ACL that you tried to create to refer to a valid principle - that is, the user does not exist.

The SQL code that you included above seems to be looking for associated ACL principles which are more database users. I don't see a direct link between this request and the ORA-44416.

What was your original script of ACL?

Also, because it is a question of database rather APEX you might get a better answer on the forums of the database.

  • Error ORA-12560 on Ora11g after reboot

    Now having a major problem...

I've recently set up a database under the following:
-Oracle version: 11 GR 2 64 bit (standard)
-OS: Windows Server 2008, running on VMWare
-File system: ASM (thanks to grid infrastructure)
The infrastructure of grid and Oracle itself have been installed under the same account. (It was a special local account that has been set up and account administrator privileges required).

Everything is rising and running, was able to connect and everything. I made a few changes (setting mode archive log).

I then did a restart of the computer.

Now, whenever I try to connect as sysadmin (sqlplus "/ as sysdba") or any other user, I get the following error:
    ORA-12560: TNS protocol adapter error
I have the problem that I try to access it locally or remotely. Manager of the company seems also not working do not.

Any idea what the problem might be? I can do a TNSPing for the database, and the listener seems to be started.

There were 2 small problems that I'm nut sure are related:
-Although I installed everything under the same local administrator account (I called dbadmin), when I go in lsnrctl I can't use "reload" (gives me a "tns01190": user is not authorized to perform the requested listener command. ") but I can use if I login as "Administrator".
-When I looked at the registry, the 'ORACLE_mydb_AUTOSTART' is set to false. There are other parts which must be autostarting, but aren't?

Under Windows, if your db service is not started, you will get the error reported.
You can also get this error with the database service started, the database upward and operation, but your have not set ORACLE_SID in the right (or any!) value.
