Tethered camera support in Lightroom for Canon EOS 80 d

Why is this device not supported - other functions (import, etc.) started working for 80 days after the last update to Version 6.5.1.

Hitch support normally follows a release of 'point' or two after the support of raw files. It is also dependent on the package SDK from the manufacturer. If the manufacturer (Canon in this case) it is in their SDK, it should be too long.

  • Camera Raw for Canon EOS 6 d? I use PSE 9.

Where can I download a Camera Raw version that supports Canon EOS 6 d? I use PSE9.

    Peter.

For the EOS 6 d, you have two options:

    (1) upgrade to PES 11. (2) DOWNLOAD and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the universal Raw format files and Adobe will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for uses in the software of the camera factory) DPP

Windows download Click DNG Converter 7.3

Mac download click DNG Converter 7.3

You can convert an entire folder of images raw with a single click. See this quick video tutorial:

  • 5.2 Lightroom vs Canon EOS 70 d GROSS

    Hello

I'm testing the trial version of Lightroom 5.2. My new camera is a Canon EOS 70 d. When you import RAW files in Lightroom the colors of some of the pictures are false. My old 450 d RAWs are fine.

For example on a picture the sky is not blue but turquoise. When you use the DNG Converter, I get the same color. However, the sky was blue. When you open the file in Canon's Digital Photo Professional, the sky is blue as it should.

It happens on some other photos as well. Especially if they have high in blue. If in Lightroom, I increase the blue content and lower the shades he looks almost as it should.

The question now is: I do something wrong, do I need an update or additional plugins or Lightroom simply interprets the bad RAW, and it will be solved quickly?

    See you soon,.

Yes, there is a large part of the sRGB blue-violet (under the B-axis) range your monitor is able to display. It is surprising, since the Samsung S24A450BW uses an LED backlight, which should have very little color shifts because of aging and a greater range than the backlight CCFL monitors. My HP 2509 m TN monitor use the backlight CCFL and shows signs of aging with a shift to yellow. My monitor has a better range under the axis - B, which I believe is causing the Green tint. As bad as the range of my monitor it looks like poster the ColorChecker Passport 24 color patches with very good precision, except blue deep a patch is slightly less saturated.

    Suggestions:

-Not use a DVI and VGA connection. Make sure that the display settings of the OS see the 32-bit color mode.

-Check all the settings of the monitor and disable all contrast or brightness improvements such as ' Samsung Magic '.

-The value of control of contrast equivalent of 75 / 100 maximum and leave there during calibration.

-Set the Options or preferences software i1 Display to ICC2 and matrix profile type.

-Calibrate using a color temperature of 6500K (D65), level of 120 cd/m2 Luminanceand Gamma 2.2.

-Use the custom monitor RGB color controls to establish the target of 6500K Point white at the beginning of the calibration.

-Use only (if possible) brightness setting to set the target 120cd/m2 luminance level.

-Run the calibration and when finished to check that the new profile is assigned under the OS color management.

  • Support for Canon EOS 70 d in Lightroom RAW 4.

I have 4 LR and now I bought a Canon 70 d.  Lightroom said he was unable to interpret the RAW files and directed me to get an update.  I have updated to 4.4 and still have the same problem.  How can I get my RAW files in Lightroom 4?

This camera has been added in Lightroom 5.2. Download the trial version and give it a try. Then you can purchase from Adobe and they will send you a serial number. All you have to do is to activate the trial version. The trial version will be 5.3, so your camera will be supported. You can use it for 30 days without restriction. You can buy your serial number at any time during this period.  You can install the trial version and try it without interfering with your current installation of Lightroom at all. There is no risk, the two versions run independently. You can delete Lightroom 4 whenever you want.

  • Adobe Camera Raw support for Canon 5 d? (PS CS6)

(for example this question in the present case, the forum of Photoshop)

    (1) how shift is planned between the introduction of the Canon 5 d camera (approx. June) and Adobe support in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR)?  In my reading elsewhere, it looks like 2 to 6 months, according to the WRT calendar ACR release schedule - anyone can refine this wait a little?

    (2) will support provided in ACR to Photoshop CS6 update?
(Adobe will force us right here to you either subscribe to CC to get the update to ACR or "jump ship" to another company of product image edition?)
.. .in this case, finally, I must leave the ship, but I don't want to .)

I saw a statement in this blog that Adobe will provide support to the new camera press PS CS releases.
but this is a blog of 2011 announcement so it was average before CC is out, so I wonder how it is true these days.

    Thanks for any help...

New cameras are usually added to the next version of the plugin ACR and LR after the device is available for sale.  In the past, a new version of ACR/LR is published every 3-4 months and new cameras are released whenever the manufacturers want, so it can be anywhere from a few weeks to several months of delay, according to the sequence of the output of the camera and the next version of the regular software.  Sometimes it seems that Adobe will delay a plug-in version to be able to include a new important camera in it, but other times a popular camera buyers wait several months.  Adobe has the hours fixed for the releases aren't so rushed by releasing a new plug-in whenever a new camera model is released.   Only a wait of six months would be for a device that is difficult to sustain immediately and requires an innovation for the decoding process raw, rather than just the usual camera-profiling which is not so difficult.

As for your other question about if CS6 will include support for the 5 d, now Adobe sells CS6 and CC so they provide a new camera support via plug-ins updates of ACR for both.  It remains to be seen if CS6 is still sold by the new time camera support is added for the 5 d or not and will probably be a business decision based on factors totally foreign to the 5 d.
