Text field value based on the numeric value of a number field

I'm trying to make a PDF form to be completed online for an assessment of the Performance.  I have three radio buttons that put a value in a total box.  For example, is not good = 15, good = 30, Excellent = 45.  So according to the radio button you select, the value of it will be 15, 30, or 45.  I have 6 different categories, while the score can be anywhere between 100-300.  Based on these findings, it ranking is determined, so what I'm trying to do, is make a text box to match their classification according to their total score.  That's what I tried without success.

SalesPA.SalesPA.OverallScore::calculate - JavaScript, client)

if TotalPoints > 234

{

ce = 'Exceeds expectations';

}

if TotalPoints > 179

{

ce = "Meets expectations";

}

if TotalPoints > 99

{

ce = 'No reply to the expectations';

}

Your JavaScript syntax was incorrect. Use the syntax validation tool in the future to avoid this. Here is a corrected version.

If (TotalPoints > 234)

{

this.rawValue = "exceeding expectations."

}

If (TotalPoints > 179)

{

this.rawValue = "meets expectations."

}

If (TotalPoints > 99)

{

this.rawValue = "not meet the expectations."

}

  • Box text entry actions based on the value

    Hello..

    I am currently working on a software simulator where users search for commands by typing an order number in a search box... In Captivate, I created a box of text with the button 'send', what I am trying to achieve is if the user type specific value (digits) and click 'submit' button it will take them to a specific project slide, BUT if they the type value of the difference (in the same entry box) and click on 'submit' button, they will need to slide in the project different?

    hope that I have explained clearly the question... BTW, I am using Captivate v5

    Thank you

    OK, you know how to add the correct entries. The infinite attempts value and create this conditional action to trigger success for ETB:

    I created a user variable to associate with the ETB instead of the generic, it is labeled v_order.  I scored the slides to move to so, which makes it easier to use in a tip action. Screenshots are from CP8, so will look slightly different for you, but what you hneed is the same.

  • Show/hide subform based on the value of digital field

    Hi all

    I created my first form in LiveCycle Designer, but jammed with coding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    In the attached form, based on the value of field digital "number Total points" (calculated from the user of entry), I want two things to happen.

    The 'field' text should display different text depending on the points,

    • Less than 10 points is "beginner."
    • 10-14 is "intermediate."

    and just like that...

    If the total number of points is less than 10, 'Course for beginners' and 'Language' DropDownList must appear.

    Is there a way to do this? I tried posting 'If' 'else' statement, but it does not work. I looked in the previous discussions, but cannot find that anything will be based on the numeric value.

    You are looking for assistance.

  • Text field formatting

    I just installed Adobe Standard 10 on my laptop and have a file that I used before on my desktop that contains text fields formatted as 'number '.  Additional text fields take this information and perform calculations based on the numeric values.  This does not work on my laptop, as it does on my desk.  There are global settings that I could check?  Even if the text boxes are in the number format, it's the treatment of the values as text.  Please provide ideas so you can...

    The two are not related. You will find the option repair on the Help menu.

  • Search B2B cases based on the id number or invoice order or...?

    Hello
    I want to search a particular instance in B2B reports based on the order Id or invoice number or number of payload.

    Y at - it an option for this in Oracle B2B?

    Or is it possible to set one of these identifiers as the Application Message Id?

    Help, please.

    The best way is to use XPath in the Document definition. You can set three of XPath in XPath document definition tab and to run B2B will assess the value of these XPath and who will store in DB. Then you can query DB or B2B reports based on these values.

    You can view-

  • Data clean on a numeric value in the text field

    Hello team,

    There is a field called 'turnover' in our Eloqua instance. It is a text field, but contains mostly numeric values synchronized in the same field of SFDC. The SFDC field is numeric.

    I am trying to write a program of standardization of data that uses the "Annual sales" value to update another field, "standardized annual income", with the value appropriate for example Strip $0 to $5 M, $5 - $10 M, $10 / $20 M...

    I created a rule to update that search values:

    • between 1 and 5000000 "turnover" and updates the "standardized annual income" field of $0 à $5 M
    • between 5000001 and 100000 in the "Annual income" and updates the "standardized annual income" field $5-$10 M
    • and so on...

    However when I test it I get the correct value in 'annual standardized income. " I also tried using filters to make contacts with the "annual income" values between 0 and 5000000 but I get all kinds of values outside this range.

    Can someone tell me where I'm wrong? Is it because the data type of the field 'Turnover' is the text rather than digital? I guess I could create a new numeric field for "Annual income", write values existing in this area and change the SFDC integration but I would avoid it if possible. If anyone has any bright ideas, I'd love to hear them.

    Thank you

    James

    For anyone interested, I got the answer from the Support. As it is established as a text field that eloqua is trying to make an alphabetical "between" rather than a digital "between". As it is not possible to change the data type of a field, I need to create a new digital field, export the data to the existing field (as well as email address) and upload again to the new field.

  • Web page open based on the value of the text field

    I want to open a web page that is based on the value of a text field.  How to bind the value of a text field to a command which will open the web page?

    For example, the value of the text field is: 8 t - EXT

    and the web page I want to open when you press a button is: http://hqms/doc.asp?dn=8T-EXT

    As you can see that the 8 t - EXT is something that a person enters the form and is what is needed to open the web page.  The other text in the link of the webpage is always the same.

    Thank you

    Hello

    In the click event of the button, place the following JavaScript code:

    if (TextField1.rawValue !== null) {
         var vURL = "http://hqms/doc.asp?dn=" + TextField1.rawValue;
         app.launchURL(vURL, true);
    }
    else {
         app.alert("Dear user, please put a code in the text field. Thank you!");
    }

    You need to change the object references based on your shape.

  • Check the boxes based on the value in a text field

    Hello.

    I'm building a pdf form in Acrobat Professional X. I want to add JavaScript to two checkboxs to achieve the following objectives:

    If the value of a text field (TLigne) is equal to 61, 64, 66 or 67, the first box (PlanACheck) has the value of the object of an audit.  If the value of a text field (TLigne) is equal to 60, 62 or 63, the second box (PlanBCheck) has the value of the object of an audit.

    I have no other than copy and paste Javascript experience, so I'm not sure I use the right language to research. If anyone can provide guidance, I would be very happy.

    Thank you very much!

    Usually this kind of thing will run the custom calculation of the target field script, but the boxes is not a calculation script, so we'll use the text for field Validation script do, with this code:

    this.getField("PlanACheck").checkThisBox (0, (event.value == "61" | event.value == "64" | event.value == '66' | event.value == "67"));

    this.getField("PlanBCheck").checkThisBox (0, (event.value == "60" | event.value == "62" | event.value == "63"));

  • Change the display of text field value based on the value (short sample code provided)

    I read around on it for a few days, but I still can't get it works well.

    I have a field of text called "W1SnC1". In fact, I have several domains to execute it. That's why I tried to make the generic script below. Basically, I want to change the properties > form field to "visible but does not print ' if the text field contains ' - '. (As a note side '-' is the default value). I put the script in the following properties > validate > run the custom validation script:

    var elemName = event.target.name;

    If (event.value == '-')

    {

    elemName.display = display.noPrint;

    } else

    {

    elemName.display = display.visible;

    }

    Its odd but once in a while it works :-) I think I must be clicking on something that the queues of validation in these moments. However, I need some general help. Did someone mind giving advice on what to change?

    Try something like this:

    Event.Target.Display = event.value = "-"? display.noPrint: display.visible;
