  I noticed that the illustrations and white text are not readable as well as light colored fonts that I use. I have consulted with Microsoft and other help sections various areas recommended, but impossible to find what is the problem and how to solve these problems. In order to clarify, for example, if I go on a site that displays white text anywhere on the screen, or illustrations in white, I can't read or see anything even if I do expand. I tried to innovate in following things suggested in onlne Microsoft Help related to the resolution section, but can't find anything on this specific problem when I do a search. I tried to change my display resolution settings, change the background color of my screen, themes and even the font colors, but nothing changes for the problem. I also noticed that any file in my computer appearing in any color of light is also hard to read. I must not do something correctly, but I don't know what. It's a pain for example, when I go to a site, and the white text and illustrations appear, but do not have any black outlining. Magnification just leads to the same result. Can anyone identify which is the problem, the settings on which I should be focusing and provide instructions on how to fix this?  I use Windows Vista Home Premium and I am a layman when it comes to computers.

  How did you choose your text?

  With the selection arrow, you should be able to choose the Type > vectorize.

  When the text tool is used to select text, you do not have this option.

  AHA!

  You can duplicate your original text block, put a coat of any color on the range of text you want and then create the contours of this copy. Now, the characters who are all developed in transparent traces will be in their correct positions and contours more will be your flagged - items you can delete the rest.

  How can I move a file to another AI work/text in Illustrator 4.1?  Using the art of export, import or the art of the place don't give me image.  What transfers is a rectangular box with a big X in it.  Illustration of the song gives me only a distorted picture.

  If it really is version 4, it is 25 years old. I'm surprised you have install much less run. Then copy and paste does not work? These files generated in V4 or newer files? The really only files up to V8 may be opening in V4. After that, the format of file completely changed.

  Like InDesign has a complete different text engine as Photoshop and Illustrator (both) have the same, it is impossible to do in simplicity.

  But because that a file is a kind of PDF you can use 3rd party converters as PDF2ID PDF InDesign CC, convert PDF in InDesign CC, open a PDF in InDesign CC.

• Problem with Sinhalese and Tamil text in Illustrator

  I have a text sent to me to Sri Lanka in Microsoft word - Tamil (Arial Unicode MS) and the Sinhalese (Iskoola Pota). In the Microsoft Word document, they appear correctly.

  I need to transfer this text in Adobe Illustrator. When I do a straight cut and paste, the characters for both languages appear distorted with some characters jumping in front of others.

  I tried to cut and paste into Notepad and then insert it in Illustrator, but the same thing happens.

  I chose the appropriate fonts described above in Adobe Illustrator.

  I also have Unicode installed in my computer.

  Is there a way to transfer Sinhalese and Tamil Microsoft Word text in Illustrator and for the characters to stay as they are in Word?

  You can have multiple fonts in any piece of text in artificial intelligence. Use the glyphs Panel in the Type menu. Click with the text tool to create a point of insertion and in the glyphs Panel, choose a font that has what you want and click twice on the glyph. Then just cpy and paste it into the appropriate list bulleted position you.

• Impossible to select objects close to an area of text in Illustrator

  I had this problem in CS6 and now CC and never taken the trouble to ask for help, but it's really bugging me right now.

  When I try to select an object (using the Selection tool) such as a line, which is located near to a text box, if the object is too close to the bottom of the text box it is not possible to choose something other than the text box. It's like there's an invisible overlap that extends beyond the bottom of the text box. The two do not overlap, they are not stacked in my screenshot, the line is 15px below the text box.

  I've seen messages on the selection of objects using text boxes by rotating "selection of object by the path only, but clearly, this does not solve my problem.

  

  (ignore the fact that the cursor in the image is not a small point, mac screenshots hide the cursor so I photoshopped again to show where my cursor is actually on the screen)

  As you can see in the screenshot, there is a thin line under the title text that indicates it will be selected if the user clicks. The line, which is below the slider is not selected.

  Of course there are workarounds such as: text boxes locked, keeping the text on a separate layer and lock then the layer, do not put things near the bottom of the text boxes. But when you do the editorial work, I find one of these very boring alternatives.

  Any ideas anyone?

  Unfortunately, there is actually an invisible overlap: the square em from the text, which is independent of the size of the text block. at the moment I can't think in a reliable way around this.

  Design of an object.  Use the Warp tool , place it on top of the object (your text)

  Navigate to the object-> envelope distort-> do with the top object , add a blur

  EPS contains a raster image as preview which is used for screen display. Only when you set the display to high res InDesign will use real vector data to calculate an overview high resolution.

  You can also go in the overlay for this preview.

  I have a logo which I believe was created in Illustrator by someone else. I need to change the date on this image, but don't know how. The year in this logo has a shadow, so need to know how to change it too much.

  Unfortunately, I don't really know anything about Illustrator. I use Illustrator CS3.

  It is possible, even likely, that the text of your logo has been converted to sets out and is no longer editable. If this is the case, you will need to recreate it.

  You can enter easily by selecting the text. Entexte will look like the top line; underlined text will look like at the bottom.  (but without all the bullseyes-they are a characteristic of a newer version you have)

  

  Regarding the shadow: effect > esthetics > Drop Shadow you will get the dialog box to create that.

  You must create a new text object. Your text has been converted to paths.

  Background: I've created design documents multi-page technical assembly using Illustrator CC 2015 as the platform.  These documents are used by plants to create products.   That means when I have finished a design, I create several 8.5 "x 11" boards art size on an Illustrator document (so on my model, I'm looking at the 46 pages at once). "  Then I insert my vector illustrations based on each page.   Page by page, I justify my drawings with captions, dimensions, colours, BOMs, etc. etc.  Once it's done I save it all down like a multi-page. PDF document can be printed by a factory.   I use illustrator because I can edit every line, every detail of how I want it in vector art.  I like also the ability to put formatting a master document, each page at a time.

  
  

  I explained to ask this question: When I do the documents of 30 pages of Monster, a tedious process that I meet are layoffs of text editing.  For example, if I have a document of 30 pages and I need to change something in my title, I have to copy / paste that 30 times if I want that all align properly.  I am familiar with the ways of copy and group - move text but I was hoping that was still a more elegant solution?  Does anyone here know of a way to link some text so they can be changed globally?  On a 30-page document, I edit a section and duplicates only 30 times where I've set up to do?  It would be similar to the section header/footer in a word document?  If this can be done in illustrator, does anyone know of a similar adobe program that would do this?  Third party software maybe? 

  This is a fairly common feature in other programs, but I can't seem to find in illustrator.  It would be a huge timesaver.

  It is much, much, much easier to handle in InDesign, if you're willing to link all your illustrations.

  I try to get the equivalent of the Mac 'Dough & Match Style' option in Illustrator.

  Make a banner of kids baseball team. They want the same banner EXACTLY as last year, just with updated names.

  In this example, 'Thomas Allen (TA)' is the OLD name, which is the size/color/shape/LOCATION I want to keep. "Aden Anderson (AA)" is the new name that should REPLACE Thomas Allen. I put AA Brush script just for Visual clarity. I would like to copy AA, then select/highlight the text of TA and paste AA in YOUR place, while AA takes the size, color, font and, especially, the LOCATION of TA.

  In native Mac applications, I simply copy AA, highlight the text of TA and SHIFT + OPT + CMD + V to paste and Match style... simple.

  I understand that I can use the Eyedropper to copy all the properties, then cut (CMD + X), AA, highlight the TA value and Paste (CMD + V) in your spot and delete the empty point text where the original AA was cutand not, is not a lot of work, but I have a ton of banners to do and a lot of names of children on all of them , so I want to just REPLACE the names while maintaining their position because they are already aligned with other names and design elements.

  Just out the pipette / remove steps would save a few minutes by banner and with the amount of banners, a few minutes would add up.

  Ok thank you. Thanks to each of you for your time. So I guess the answer to the original question is, no, paste and Match Style of IN Illustrator is just not possible at this time.

  I have problems of specific groups of text italic. I'm working on illustrations for a CD project. I have text lines include the authors of the song, I want to italicize, but I would like to than the other text to stay "regular". Older versions of Illustrator do that, but I have a problem. It is more a feature of the application? How can I do this?

  It's just what happens in a PDF file. When text tracking or kerning is changed from the default font, then it gets cut into pieces.

  In order to solve your problem: you need to paste the text together again.

  Either by copying all the objects (all) text in the Clipboard, then create a text box and paste.

  Or with scripts.
