Text of hyperlinks in form fields

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro and completing a form that was delivered to me in PDF format. I do not in any case the words of hyperlink (in the form fields) in Acrobat Pro. Is it not possible?

It is an option in the Options tab of the field properties dialog box specifically: allow rich text formatting

  • Forms to fill out and Distribution: to flatten author text but not the form fields

    OK people, first time posting on this forum, but certainly not my first time looking for answers!  I was quite managed with other issues if I think I myself stumped on this one.

    I created the form fillable 'generic' I'm going to use to distribute to various contacts for some upcoming projects that we will participate in.  Because each project will be different, instead of having to create a new form every time, I hope that with my base model form I can enter various information with the type writing tool and somehow to protect this information to be edit/delete while allowing my contacts to enter their information in the form fields.

    I tried to apply the different variants of security features, but the downside of this is that it does not "distribute" my form so that it can be track with Adobe Tracker.  The only way I can successfully distribute this form for the masses and track responses is if all the security settings of the document are disabled.

    I hope that this logic all how I explain it.  Because the information (not the form fields) on the document sent to the changes each week, I was hoping there would be one easier way other than creating a form to complete for each new.  I'm not an expert of Actions, but it would be possible to create an Action that would "flatten" the text of the type writer only?  That would at least prevent third parties to manipulate or remove information that I placed on the document.

    This free tool based on JavaScript for Acrobat is what you need: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

    The typewriter tool creates a type of text box, so that you would select just this box to flatten.

  • You can hyperlink a form field name?

    I have a checkbox in a form of ours who wants people to confirm that they have read our partnership agreement. I want to be able to bind the partnership agreement, according to the name of the form field. Here is an example:

    (check box) I have read and agree to your partners services agreement.

    Is this possible?

    I'm not sure, Mike, I tried on my own landing page with the exact code in your screenshot. The editor highlights code in the same way, but it records and works very well.

  • Unable to select or enter the text in the hidden form field

    If I select 'Visible' to fields in the form that I created, I can enter text in them BUT they show as a gray light box.

    If I select "Hidden" or "Hidden but printable" there is no box grey, but I can not put in value, select or enter the text in the fields once the PDF form is saved.

    It of the same or not I have to save as 'Reader Extended PDF' or not.

    I use Acrobat for Mac.

    Thanks in advance.

    It's highlighting of field assets.

  • How to create a script for the calculation of the VO2max using text on a pdf form field values.

    I'm trying to create a script that calculates the VO2max based on user input in several text fields.

    My form is set up so that the user can enter values in the 4 fields of text:

    1 weight = weight in kilograms

    2. age = age in years

    3 time = time to walk 1 mile in decimal

    4. the heart rate (HR) = heart rate recovery immediately after you have finished walking 1 mile

    The VO2max equation that I use is:

    VO2max = 132.853 - (0.1692 * weight)-(0.3877 * Age) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * time)-(0.1565 * HR)

    After the user enters values in 4 text fields, I want the text of VO2max field automatically calculate the above equation and display the result to the user so that the user doesn't have to get all those numbers into a calculator.

    Any suggestions on how to write the script?

    Assuming that your domain names are what you entered in the formula, you can use the simplified field notation:

    132.853 - (0.1692 * weight)-(0.3877 * Age) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * time)-(0.1565 * HR)

    If you want the value to display only after al the data fields are complete you need to use a JavaScript calculation:

    function GetField (cName) {}
    oField var = this.getField (cName);
    if(oField == null) app.alert ("field of error for access to the" cName + "\nPlease verify the name of the field.", 1, 0 ");
    return oField;
    }

    var weight = GetField ("Weight");
    var Age is GetField ("Age");.
    var time = GetField ("Time");
    var h = GetField ("HR");

    Event.Value = "";
    If (Weight.value! = 0 & Age.value! = 0 & Time.value! = 0 & HR.value! = 0) {}
    Event.Value = 132.853 - (0.1692 * Weight.value)-(0.3877 * Age.value) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * Time.value)-(0.1565 * HR.value);
    }

  • Automatic scrolling of text possible in combination with the text form field

    Hello

    We would like to know if it is possible to align the text automatically with a form field that can contain different amounts of characters.

    For example:

    We have a form with a text field for currency at the end of a paragraph of text. The period to mark the end of the sentence should always be printed just behind the currency field. For now, the comma character has a fixed place, just outside the scope of the currency field. It doesn't look good when the currency field contains only 2 characters (due to the white space).

    Is there a solution to this problem?

    Thank you.

    It is only possible if the time text is also part of a text field, preferably the same one. You can use a format or script validation to automatically add this custom text to text from the user, assuming that it is a fixed value or you can know in advance. If it is a value entered by the user, then it becomes almost impossible to do it gently.

  • Display additional text on click (form field)

    I'm trying to get the text formatted in a form field. Is this possible?

    This field is only for display during the click on another field. Click, I want to display a table of columns 2 and 3 with borders and another font and font size in the document. I can do this with an image (icon button field), but I would stick with the text if possible.

    You must configure the field to allow rich text editing. Change the properties of the text, display the toolbar properties by clicking Ctrl + E and you will see how you can change.

  • How can I change the font in the form fields to fill

    I have already set the fields of a font, but want to change after I test filled in the fields of text in preview mode. but now when I highlight the fields and select properties and select a different font and size, it shows the new selection of fonts but the fields will not change what has already been entered. I tried to change the field and delete the text and Fain same original font type and size is still there

    Hello.

    I guess that these areas use the option 'allow formatting of the rich text.

    Thus, it is not Properties: aspect which resulted in implementing in the form of text, thetext in the form field"' bar (CTRL-E or CMD-E).

    Uncheck the option 'Allow rich text formatting' to return to this behavior.

  • See all text both in a scrolling form field.

    Is this possible? I created a form field that allows scrolling of text. Is it possible for a person to move their mouse over the field on this form, and something like a pop box would be showing all the exactly? In this way, they would not have to scroll the field to read what they typed.

    Try adding the custom according to the text field validation script:

    Script for a custom text to validate field

    event.target.userName = event.value;

    This sets the ToolTip text of the value of the field.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - character spacing in the text form field

    Hi all

    We are creating a form that contains a part of money transfer.

    This form will be printed on preprinted paper that contains special rectangle fields for the characters (f.e. a bank account number = > IBAN).

    Each character must match their respective rectangle.

    Because of the spacing between the rectangles, we must be able to increase the spacing between characters, but it seems that it is not possible for the text to form fields in Adobe Acrobat Pro ms? We looked everywhere, but we can't seem to find it.

    We missed something? Otherwise: are there other options to solve our problem?

    Thank you.

    Best regards.

  • Text form field properties: access with Javascript?

    Hello

    I wonder if it is possible to access all of the properties of text form field with Javascript.

    The basic game is available under the domain object, but I'm looking for the other stuff that does not specifically exist for the fields of rich text, such as the properties of next paragraph:

    Dashes (left and right, withdrawal, first to the first line indent), the vertical alignment (top, bottom, middle), space above and below and attack (line spacing).

    All this is available if you place your cursor in a rich text field and press Ctrl-E to open text form field properties, then click on "More".

    So I wonder if it is also accessible via JS, because I can't find anything in the documentation on the subject.

    Thanks much for any help!

    Ariel

    Some properties of rich text are available, but not those you mentioned.

    I'm afraid.

    Study of the Span object to find out which ones are.

    How to make a text box becomes a "required field", IF a drop-down list is selected as the "Yes"?

    and 'not required' if the drop down menu selected as 'No' or left blank.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    see you soon

    Use this code in the custom drop-down list field validation script:

    this.getField("Text1").required = (event.value == "Yes");

    (Change "Text1" to the actual name of your text field, of course)

  • How can I insert instructions/text in a PDF form text field that can be typed by the end user?

    How can I insert instructions/text into a text form field that can be typed by the end user? As the screenshot attached.

    I already have a PDF (not created by me) I have to edit but cannot work out how to enter into new fields of text instructions, I create. I tried to do in InDesign, but the text gets just covered by the blue shape box when you view the final PDF file.

    Follow the instructions as default value for the field and then reset the form.
